What’s the Best Power Bank That Actually Lasts?
I’ve gone through a few power banks over the last year, and honestly… every single one of them started dying after like 2 months. Battery wouldn’t hold charge, slow charging, or just completely useless. So now I’m trying to find a power bank that’s actually BIFL quality. I need something that can charge multiple devices at the same time mainly my iPhone and my laptop when I’m traveling or working outside. A lot of the “top rated” ones claim to be the best power bank, but they struggle even with basic use. What I’m really looking for is a best portable power bank that’s reliable long-term. Something that can work as a best power bank for iPhone, but also strong enough to charge a laptop without draining instantly. Basically a best power bank charger that actually lasts more than a couple months. If anyone here has found a power bank that truly lasts, I’d love to hear recommendations. 🙏 submitted by /u/OdranedGame to r/BuyItForLife [link] [comments]

What’s the best power bank that actually lasted you years?
Update: I read this post and got a Statik state power bank, apparently it‘s the safest and also has wireless charging built in which is nice https://www.reddit.com/r/onebag/comments/1rnjbaz/power_bank_suggestions Looking for a portable charger that actually holds up long term not just for the first few months. I've been down the rabbit hole of power banks and honestly they all look the same to me at this point. Same specs, different logo, wildly different prices. I don't need anything fancy. I just want something that still works like new after a year or two of regular use. If you've actually owned one for a while I'd love to hear: What brand/model are you using? How long have you had it? Would you buy it again knowing what you know now? Trying to avoid wasting money on something that dies in a year lol submitted by /u/Traditional-Win-8808 to r/onebag [link] [comments]

Need Help In Buying Powerbank
Need Help In Buying a Power bank Purchase Help I need help from you guys!! Suggest me a good power bank.. I have a Motorola phone with a 6000 mah battery and has a 33w Type-C input. The charger in the box is also of 33w. It doesn't support wireless charging. While attending meetings most of the time I face low battery issues as I get to charge only once in a day. And In some months I will be travelling a lot. I don't have any preference. I just need a good one. I guess 20k mah would be a better choice as my phone battery is big and I will charge my phone at least once or maximum twice daily. Also suggest some healthy tips to keep the powerbank alive and useful in the long run. I don't want to buy a good power bank and end up using it in wrong way. Note- Guys please suggest only if you or any of your friends or family have used it before (Also try to share user experience in brief). Is the Anker 737 still the "GOAT" in 2026? Found for ~€70 ($83) vs the newer Prime models.
Hi everyone, I just spotted the Anker 737 (PowerCore 24K) on a deal for 297.99 PLN (~€70 / $83 USD). Given that we are well into 2026, I’m trying to decide if this "classic" is still the better buy over the newer Prime 27,650mAh models which are currently retailing for nearly triple that price. Quick Specs for context: 140W Max Output/Input Ports: 2xUSB-C, 1xUSB-A Capacity: 24,000mAh or about 88.8 Wh (Airline safe) The 737 still hits the 140W for a single port, which is plenty for most laptops. Aside from the slightly lower capacity (88.8Wh vs 99Wh) and the lack of the magnetic charging base compatibility, am I missing out on much by skipping the Prime? https://preview.redd.it/cexmrzdoerfg1.png?width=1052&format=png&auto=webp&s=55b7368f5ad00fddb437c39a123643f6afdf95bf https://www.amazon.pl/Anker-PowerCore-zewn%C4%99trzna-wy%C5%9Bwietlacz-kompatybilny/dp/B09VPHVT2Z submitted by /u/PrimaryAccountant337 to r/UsbCHardware [link] [comments]

Any insights which is the best power bank to get for 2026?
I've been having problems charging my power bank. I'm thinking maybe a it's faulty charging pin already. I travel a lot for work and I really need it literally every time. It either takes forever to charge because you have to position it where it's actually charging but sometimes, it just stops by itself even it it's still isn't full so I'm planning to buy another one this year. The sooner, the better. And I wanna get something that'll be a good long term buy. I'm wondering if there's something better coming for power banks? Any new features or tech that are rumored to come out this year? Just want to make sure I don't buy something right before a big improvement. I'm looking for something reliable that can charge a laptop and a phone a few times. My knowledge on brands are also outdated but I saw Anker, INIU, Ugreen, Baseus, Belkin. I don't know which one of these are the most affordable, reliable, and worth the money to buy though. I'm open to recommendations. Thanks! submitted by /u/Alternative_Band_624 to r/batteries [link] [comments]

Don’t lose your power bank to the Chinese airport security lottery!
I want to share a recent experience at Shanghai Pudong (PVG) to help other travellers avoid losing their gear. You may find how the rules are enforced varies significantly depending ont he airport and the staff member you encounter. There is a difference between the rules for power banks for international and domestic flights in China. While international flights generally follow standard global guidelines (based on Watt-hour rating), domestic flights are now subject to a June 2025 CAAC regulation. For domestic flights within China, all power banks must have a visible CCC (China Compulsory Certification) mark. Even if your power bank is a reputable brand (like Belkin or Anker), is under the 100Wh limit, and is marked "Made in China", security may still confiscate it if it lacks the specific CCC logo. Most devices purchased outside China carry CE or FCC marks but not the CCC mark required for the Chinese domestic market. Enforcement vary significantly between Chinese domestic airports. You might pass through domestic security with no issues at one airport, only to have the same device confiscated at a domestic transfer checkpoint later that day. During my trip, I received three different pieces of advice from three different security officers at domestic airports: One confiscated the item. Another later suggested it should have been permitted because it was "Made in China" A third said it should have been allowed based on its power rating. Ultimately, whether your device is accepted (or taken) seems to depend on the individual staff member you encounter. To my surprise, when they take your device, the airport views the action as the passenger "voluntarily surrendering" the item. This was certainly not my interpretation of the event, but it is the legal phrasing they use to prevent you from retrieving the item later. If you are heading to China, I’d suggest either checking your gear for that specific CCC logo, buy one in China, or take only a cheap one to China (that you are willing to lose). Do not invest in expensive one before you travel! submitted by /u/Kiwi_In_The_Comments to r/travelchina [link] [comments]

Anker power bank nice fit - and a question
Pretty pleased with my new Anker power bank, literally seems designed to sit in the recess on the back of the case (don't worry, I know not to charge while in the case). I've given it a good shake around and I can't dislodge it so it's a nice way to transport it. My question - apparently this thing is capable of perfect 15v-3a charging for a steam deck (and beyond). When I'm travelling with it, assuming my deck is already fully charged, would I be best to: Run down the steam deck charge by playing, then use this to juice it back up, repeat. Just plug the power bank into the charged deck right away and use it just as if it was plugged in at home, so presumably all the power would be coming from the powerbank during play. Considering the health of both the powerbank and the deck (deck is priority). submitted by /u/TCristatus to r/SteamDeck [link] [comments]

Fooled at Delhi Airport security, lost my Anker 537 power bank even though it was actually allowed
This was a few days ago, I was travelling out of Delhi and had my Anker 537 Power Bank (roughly around 10000 rs when I bought it) in my cabin baggage. It’s comparatively expensive power bank and something I rely on, especially during long trips. I’ve carried it earlier on flights without any issues, so I didn’t expect any problem this time. At the security check, after my bag went through the scanner, a senior CISF officer stopped the tray and took out the power bank. He looked at me, then at the device, and said “Beta, ye allowed nahi hai. Iski capacity zyada hai.” I told him politely that it’s 24000 mAh and asked what the actual limit is. Instead of explaining the rule, he then asked me basic personal details like where I was travelling, whether I was alone, and if it was my first time flying from Delhi. When I answered, he smiled slightly and said Face se lag raha hai nervous ho kaafi aap. Thoda relax karo, smile karo I found this unnecessary and awkward, but I didn’t react much and just smiled a bit so he will let me off. I was already tired, anxious, and running low on energy, and all this only made me more uncomfortable. He asked me to step aside and wait. I was told to go back for checking again, remove my shoes, come back, and stand there while he kept my power bank on the table. During frisking, he did a much more thorough check than usual, far longer than what other passengers were getting, which added to my discomfort. Hath upar karo, kamar me koi dhaga waga to nahi pehne ho na? and slid his fingers into the waistband of my jeans feeling for the elastic of my underwear. And had me spinning a few times on the stand as he checked me further from other angles. I tried once more and said, Sir, main pehle bhi power bank ke saath travel kar chuka hoon. Iska limit check ho sakta hai? He replied in a dismissive tone, Beta, rules hum jaante hain. Ya to yahin chhod do, ya flight chhoot jayegi. There was no proper explanation, no written guideline shown, no receipt offered. With boarding time approaching and the pressure building, I caved in to his demand. Eventually, I had no choice but to leave the power bank behind and move on. Later, when I spoke to a friend who travels frequently, I found out something that made me genuinely upset. As per aviation rules, power banks up to 100 Wh are allowed in cabin baggage. A 24000 mAh power bank typically comes to around 88–90 Wh, which is well within the allowed limit. In fact, people legally carry power banks close to 27000 mAh without issues. I realized that I was taken for a fool by that officer. It felt like the officer saw that I looked naive, exhausted, and nervous, and instead of explaining the rules properly, chose to use authority and urgency to pressure me into giving up an expensive item. I’m not saying all CISF personnel behave this way, but this particular experience was unfair. submitted by /u/Acrobatic-Health2681 to r/delhi [link] [comments]

Anker power bank nearly caught fire
This happened a couple months ago but I've never gotten around to posting about it until now. I also tried to post this over on r/Anker, but they seem to gatekeep posts over there. I had an Anker A1388 power bank that I left charging from a wall outlet, and after a few minutes I started to smell something burning. I checked on the power bank and that's what I found, the plastic around the USB C port completely melting and starting to let out a little whisp of smoke. I unplugged it and stuck it outside for a bit just incase the battery decided to catch fire, but luckily it didn't. I'd had it for about 6 months or so at the time, and I'd used it almost every day and never had any issues with it before. Tried to file a warranty claim but unfortunately because I didn't keep the original receipt, I was basically told that I'm SOL. I know Anker recently recalled a some power banks over fire concerns, but the recall didn't include the A1388. Wondering if anyone else has had this same experience, or if anyone thinks this could be the same issue as the recalled power banks, or if this is more of a one-off fluke? submitted by /u/TreeKillerMan to r/UsbCHardware [link] [comments]

Just got the new Anker Prime Power Bank
Im wondering, does this power bank use silicon carbon batteries? The body profile is much smaller than my Anker 737 or Cuktech 20. The packaging and unboxing for this are really nice. submitted by /u/Ohayoo__ to r/UsbCHardware [link] [comments]

PSA: China Bans All Power Banks Manufactured Before ~2024 on Domestic Flights -- yes, you heard it right
\"Baskets after baskets\" of confiscated power banks in a Chinese airport security checkpoint TL;DR: China bans all power banks without "CCC" certification (explained below) marks engraved/printed on it from all domestic flights. Since "CCC" certification didn't exist for power banks before August 2023 and the sale of non-CCC certified power banks are allowed through August 2024, this means ALL power banks you cloud reasonably bought before ~2024 are effectively banned for domestic flights. Int'l flights not affected. Certain models of Romoss and Anker power banks are banned from all flights (incl. int'l flights) due to potential fire hazards. What's going on In June 2025, a Chinese lithium battery cell manufacturer "Amprius" (安普瑞斯, Ānpǔruìsī), discovered that several types of battery cells they make are prone to overheating and may ignite spontaneously. Amprius is an upstream supplier of battery cells -- they sell to downstream companies, not directly to consumers. The company's website says its cells are used in a wide range of devices, from smartwatches to recreational drones. On June 16 and June 20, respectively, power bank manufacturers "Romoss" and "Anker" announced recalls of their products that used the faulty Amprius cells. Both are name-brand products that are sold within China and overseas. Chinese airports have long been actively checking whether a traveler's power bank is within the capacity limit, usually by looking at the tiny engraved text on the power bank's body. Security checkpoints in China will also ask travelers to put their power banks in a separate bin. In checked luggage, power banks are prohibited, while lithium batteries installed in an electronic device may be allowed depending on the airline's and the airport's policy. While many other countries do have the same limitations on lithium batteries and power banks, security check personnel typically don't actively check them like China. Recently, multiple fires on airplanes spurred renewed fear of power banks on board. In January, an Air Busan jet burnt down in South Korea. Authorities later say that a power bank is likely the culprit to the fire. In February, a power bank likely caused thick smoke in a Baltic Air flight. In March, a Hong Kong Airlines flight also caught fire mid-flight with passengers on board suspecting it was also a power bank that ignited the overhead luggage compartment. Chinese aviation authority have long banned the use of power banks on board. Following the series of incidents in 2025, many airlines and aviation authorities, including Air Busan, Hong Kong Airlines, as well as Hong Kong and Malaysia's aviation regulators responded with similar bans, some also require that power banks should not be placed in the overhead compartments, which is not explicitly banned in China. It is believed that power banks are more susceptible to spontaneous combustion in an aircraft, as the air pressure changes rapidly. Following the recall announcements of Romoss and Anker, many Chinese airport security checkpoints are also starting to look for the exact model number of travelers' power banks, in addition to their stated capacity. https://preview.redd.it/r2kjmm0wqh9f1.png?width=970&format=png&auto=webp&s=17ee4bedbf472c9dac46a0ae884b6179322c36bb The most recent development comes on June 26, when the Civil Aviation Administration of China doubled down on the measure, requiring all power banks on domestic flights to bear a "CCC" certification. "CCC" stands for "China Compulsory Certification," which is required for electronic devices from fridges to power sockets. The "CCC" mark is often engraved/printed along with many certifications on electronic-related products. There are similar certification programs in other jurisdictions, such as the "CE" mark for the EU and "FCC" for the US. Why all power banks before ~2024 are banned? It has been pointed out that power banks aren't part of the "CCC" program until August 2023 -- they cannot get certified, even if the manufacturer wants to. According to an announcement made by the State Administration for Market Regulation, the certification program started for power banks beginning August 2023, and power banks that are not certified will be prohibited from sale one year later. Since "CCC" certification for power banks did not exist before August 2023, this effectively means that no power banks you could reasonably bought before early 2024 will be allowed on board. On social media, users are criticizing this ban for being too broad, arguing that the "CCC" certificate doesn't imply a safe power bank. For instance, the recalled power banks from Romoss and Anker actually received CCC" certifications. Their "CCC" certifications were only revoked after the recall announcement -- but there's nothing you can do about the already engraved "CCC" marks on the devices. What is being enforced in Chinese airports? First, your power bank must not be the following models: Anker A1257, A1680, A1681, A1689 (source) A1642, A1647, A1652 (source) Romoss PAC20-272, PAC20-392, PLT20A-152 (source) Recalled Anker power banks Recalled Anker power banks, note that Romoss didn't provide a picture to their recalled power banks Note: Only power banks of these models that were manufactured within a specific period used the faulty battery cells. However, when enforced at airports, you may be required to log onto the manufacturers' website to check the device's serial number to make sure they were not part of the recall. Good luck figuring out those tiny engraved letters and numbers. Some airports may impose an even more blanket ban. So I suggest you just give up and buy a new one. For domestic flights, your power bank must have "CCC" printed/engraved on it. This is not required for international flights, according to many larger airports interviewed by Chinese media. Finally, the usual rules still apply -- you need to put your power bank in a separate bin, make sure it doesn't look flimsy, and capacity is below 100Wh (watt-hour). You should not charge your devices with your power bank or charge your power bank on board. You may put power banks in the overhead compartment onboard Chinese airlines (for now). No power banks in checked luggage. You may also want to put as many swappable backup batteries for professional cameras and similar devices within the devices, as social media users suggest many airports are also checking "CCC" marking on batteries and will ask travelers to dispose of any batteries without it. If you own one of these faulty power banks, you should be able to get a refund or a replacement from Romoss and Anker. However, according to numerous media reports and social media complaints, delivery companies are refusing to accept these power banks from shipping back to their service centers. Romoss says you could safely dispose of power banks by: deplete all charges from the power bank, use a non-metallic container to make saturated salt water, submerge the power bank in it for 24 hours, then dispose of the power bank as regular household garbage. It is also worth noting that household garbage in mainland China is almost always incinerated in a waste-to-energy plant. Exhausts and remaining waste from the plant will be properly treated. Additionally, different Chinese airports implement slightly different protocols for their security checkpoints. For instance, Shenzhen airports will skip manual scanning for passengers that don't trigger the metal-detecting gates, while most airports in mainland China still do manual scans regardless of the gates. As mentioned before, lithium batteries installed in an electronic device may be allowed in checked luggage depending on the airline's and the airport's policy. The point is: your mileage may vary a lot. Good luck. submitted by /u/Lazy_Narwhal1685 to r/chinalife [link] [comments]
