Tubby Todd did not help my little one’s eczema. I had luck with plain Vaseline and Vaseline Eczema therapy cream, which has colloidal oatmeal in it. When mine has a bad outbreak, I also do an Aveeno baby eczema therapy bath treatment, which is just ground up colloidal oatmeal.

Bathing with oatmeal daily, patting dry and applying aveno baby lotion (or other colloidal oatmeal cream) right after the bath to lock in the moisture, and hydrocortisone 1% is what has finally helped calm my lo’s eczema. It was awful, and now that it’s doing better he sleeps longer and fusses less during the day.

Aveeno uses colloidal oatmeal. If your LO had a severe reaction, there could be an allergy there. My first one had severe eczema and every winter it came back less and less. Most kids grow out of it. You just have to find a cream that manages the symptoms.
