Top reasons why this topic is getting popular

1. Improves Core Strength

Using an exercise ball engages the muscles of the core, including the abdominals, back, and pelvic floor, to maintain balance and stability during exercises. This helps to strengthen and tone the core muscles.

2. Enhances Balance and Stability

The unstable surface of an exercise ball challenges the body's balance and proprioception, forcing the muscles to work harder to maintain stability. Regular use of an exercise ball can improve balance and stability, which is beneficial for overall coordination and injury prevention.

3. Increases Flexibility and Range of Motion

Performing exercises on an exercise ball requires a greater range of motion compared to traditional exercises. This can help improve flexibility and joint mobility, leading to better overall functional movement.

4. Provides Versatility in Workouts

Exercise balls can be used for a wide range of exercises targeting different muscle groups, including core exercises, strength training, stretching, and balance exercises. This versatility makes them suitable for people of all fitness levels and goals.

5. Promotes Active Sitting

Sitting on an exercise ball instead of a traditional chair can help improve posture and engage the core muscles throughout the day. This promotes active sitting, which can help prevent back pain and improve overall spinal alignment.

My little guy is now 11 weeks old and to get him to nap or sleep we have to bounce him on an exercise ball. He usually falls asleep within 10 mins but we bounce for another 20 to make sure he's actually asleep..30 mins of that ball several times a day is seriously killing my back. I would think that something exists that would bounce a newborn? Very much open to any suggestions!!

This is probably a stupid question but I am a FTM and paranoid about everything 😂 would it be safe for me to just bounce on an exercise ball in my second trimester? I'm 23 weeks and I feel like it could be uncomfortable for baby or maybe it's completely fine I'm not sure!!

I finally got an exercise ball to sit on to try and relieve some back pain. If I bounce on it will it put me into early labor like how it does in the end of pregnancy?

When is the best time to start using exercise ball? I don’t want to start opening my cervix obviously (27 weeks) but wondering if there are some exercises I can start doing just to “prepare” and ease some of this SPD I’ve been having.
