Petlibro Dockstream 2 indicator lights schedule
I'm getting confusing information from tech support. In the app settings for the fountain, what do the indicator light schedule control? If I set the indictor lights to be on from 7am-11pm, should all the indicator lights turn off at 11pm or does only the filter light turn off at 11pm? All my lights are turning off before 11pm. At first tech support seemed like they understood the issue. Now they are saying that the schedule only controls the filter light, which seems insane and wrong to me. Pretty sure the whole point to the schedule is so the lights (ALL the lights) don't bother you at night. There is also a "filter indicator" toggle button at the bottom of the schedule. Adding water/recalibrating?
We just got the PetLibro Dockstream 2 Cordless water fountain. I hate the so called manual. It really doesn’t explain things. When I add water, do I need to recalibrate somehow? Does it mean lifting the water container off to get at those buttons underneath? Thanks anyone who can explain this to us. submitted by /u/RecognitionForward23 to r/Petlibro [link] [comments]

Something Wrong with my Dockstream 2.0
Just like the title says, I took apart my dockstream to clean it, just like the manual says to, and when I snapped it all back in to place the water pump no longer pumps up any water. The dockstream recognizes that the fountain is in place and changes the red light to white indicating enough water is in the tank/fountain. But nothing happens. I’ve tried resetting the dockstream, taking it apart and putting it back together again, a different power cord, etc. Nothing is working. Any suggestions? It’s probably 6 months old but I’ve been told petlibro’s customer service response is basically “it’s your fault” so I haven’t reached out to them for a replacement yet. Issues With Product Quality & Customer Service
I've owned Petkit feeder, water fountain, and litter box products for years. I've had zero issues with the water fountain and feeder, but some issues with the litter box. Petkit was super responsive to my issues and sent out a new litter box with no delay or complaints ($700 litter box, by the way). Now for Petlibro: I have two cats. Having a single feeder has made them competitive about eating as quickly as possible. One of our cats eats extremely quickly and the other is what we call the worst eater in the world. For every 5 kibbles he picks up in his mouth, 4 fall out. This lead to one of our cats getting chunky and the other staying skinny. I wanted to get 2 RFID feeders to make sure each of them gets their proper share. I saw that Petlibro was having a sale, so I did some research and bought the dual RFID feeder/RFID water fountain combo on 10/16/25. It arrived quickly and I set them up the night before we left for an international trip for 10 days. I had some issues setting it up and getting the collars to pair properly, but after troubleshooting, I got everything working before we left. I left the Petkit feeder and water fountain in place as a fail-safe, and I'm glad I did. We had a friend stop by a few times during our vacation to check on the cats and refill the food/water while we were gone. She reported no issues while she was there. When we arrived home after 10 days, I noticed that the water fountain was emitting multiple errors and there was water all over our wood floor. I'm not sure what went wrong, but the fountain was no longer pumping, it was completely dry on the top, the base was nearly empty, and my wood floor and trim was water damaged. I cleaned it up and I reached out to Petlibro right away, asking for a replacement, and it took them several days to get back to me. What followed was 2 months of back and forth with support. They asked me for additional photos, videos, and sent me tutorials on how to calibrate the unit. I let them know I had already reset the unit, reinstalled everything, and calibrated it again with the same error messages persisting. After 2 months of back and forth, they agreed to replace the base. I had to follow up with them every 3-5 days to get a response on a ship date, which they finally sent 4 days ago. I'll see if this new unit works. Additionally, one of the two feeders emits a loud buzzing sound about once a week, which I "fix" by unplugging it and plugging it back in. I'm concerned about the longevity of all of these units, as they all have had significant issues right away. I see an abnormal amount of negative posts on this subreddit. I understand that happy customers typically don't make posts, but this amount of negative posts is worrying. Do I ask for a full refund and go with another brand? Are cat water fountains with stainless water trays but plastic reservoirs any better with biofilm than all plastic fountains?
My cats love their water fountains. We have a couple around the house. They are all plastic and get a fair amount of biofilm even though we clean every two weeks. They also have plastic pumps that have areas that are inaccessible to brushes so they can't be completely cleaned. I was reading that stainless steel ones are better than plastic for limiting biofilm buildup. All of the all stainless steel ones have similar pumps to what I have though. I started looking at the pumpless ones, but while the Elfin E1+ and Petlibro Dockstream 2 have stainless steel water trays they still have plastic water tanks/reservoirs. Is the stainless water tray the key or since they have plastic reservoirs will they still have same biofilm issues since the water still sits in plastic? Has anyone switched from all plastic ones with an internal pump to the Elfin E1+ or Petlibro Dockstream 2? How are they with biofilm buildup compared to the all-plastic fountains? I have not seen an all stainless steel pumpless option. Does anyone know of one? submitted by /u/Hockey_Beer_BBQ to r/CatAdvice [link] [comments]

What's up with Petlibro...?
I I liked them at first but honestly, the deeper I dig, and the more I buy, the more I start to realize that they don't really care for our pets. Their only drive is money. They do just enough to make sure we can't go after them legally. Let's start with the ridiculous subscription service. You're telling me that the $120 yearly tier only supports 1 device...? And to get more devices, I have to spend $200? And even then, I can only connect it with 3 devices? Meaning I would have to buy another subscription if I wanted to add more devices. You could at least allow an SD card to be added. It’s ridiculous and it’s intentional. Then there’s the dockstream 2 turning itself off when it still has a lot of water left in it. It just stops working when it’s got 2/5 amount of water left. Even though in the app it says it has 8 days of water left. And we shouldn’t forget the polar feeder not being safe, as others have mentioned. The food does not last as long as it claims it does and my cat got sick after eating the last portion. It also doesn’t have anything to keep ants out. When you contact them (which isn’t really easy in my experience), they blame it on anything but themselves. They say it’s faulty wiring. They say you set it up wrong. That it’s the WiFi. Or you’re using it other than it’s intended to be used. But in reality, Petlibro is the problem. Their obsession with money is the problem. Of course, all companies are going to be driven by money, but they shouldn’t be so obsessed that they disregard what’s important for pets and owners. And the sad thing is, that’s how most pet companies are. I think consumers forget that we have the power, and these companies want us to forget that. It’s not going to get and better if we just continue letting them do this. So if you can, write to them and tell them that what they’re doing is wrong, and even cancel your subscriptions if you don’t need them (I understand that there are people who need them in some ways). If cancelling it only causes you a minor inconvenience, then I’d say go ahead and cancel it anyways. Your minor inconvenience could be a major inconvenience for Petlibro if enough people decide to cancel. It’s not right to support a company that cares so little about the pets their products are for. submitted by /u/Stronsia to r/Petlibro [link] [comments]

Dockstream 2 RFID
Currently the only version of the dockstream water fountain with RFID support is the older v1 fountain. I'm wondering if anyone has heard whether petlibro plans to release a v2 version with RFID anytime soon. I've got 3 cats, one of which I need to keep a very close eye on their water intake, so the individual tracking is important to me. However I would also like to have some of the v2 features as well. (Like operating off of battery power and only running when the cat is nearby) submitted by /u/toastman86 to r/Petlibro [link] [comments]

DockStream 2 Cyber Waste
Man, I'm really getting tired of Petlibro. On December 19th, I sent an email to them notifying them that all 3 brand new Dockstream 2s quit working, the power light would flicker, and a relay would click inside, assuming power issue. I put in a ticket asking for warranty replacement. I notified them of the steps taken: new adapters, new cables, the works, but nothing worked, and the ONLY way it would work is by charging the base and running it without power; pointless. Their fix was to send me new wires, as the apparent cables they sent me were bad, though if you noticed, this was a pre-troubleshooting step. I received wires in the mail, tried them, and the same things. Then support ghosted me altogether and refused to answer at all. No replacement, no other notes on troubleshooting, nada. Guess it's sad we have to complain on Reddit to even get in contact with a support person, as they don't like to look bad in public, but going through the proper channels, we get ghosted. Reasons to move to PetKit are growing for sure, I feel like. Sidenote: Original Dockstream is a GOAT, never breaks down, never stops working. The Dockstream 2's I recommend no one buy due to the cheapness, and I swear to god why did they make the water tray shallower ... spills so easily now. submitted by /u/lilfade to r/Petlibro [link] [comments]

Unpopular opinion: I like the Luma Smart Litter Box
So I’ve seen a lot of posts talking about Petlibro and how they’re not a reliable brand as far as their products not working properly. I just wanted to make this post in case anyone’s looking for an automatic litter box but is terrified of decapitation. First, I have the petlibro dockstream 2 and I love it, super easy to clean and I’ve never had an issue with it. I don’t have a feeder because I really don’t have a use for it, but my brother loves it and so does my boyfriend. Now I was looking at automatic litters for a while. My one issue is that I’ve never liked the idea of it being fully automatic cause obviously I don’t want to come home to find my child decapitated. Because of this, I was looking at options that let me turn off the self cleaning so that I can just go in and manually set it to clean and I can have peace of mind knowing my cat is no where near it when I set it to clean. So my issue with the LR5 (based on different posts I’ve seen) is that you can’t fully turn off the self-cleaning. Same with all LR models (again, from what I’ve read I believe it’s only for a certain period of time or something like that). Then I saw the Luma and saw that it actually recommends turning off the self clean for nursing/pregnant cats or kittens under 6 months/2.2 lbs. I decided to try it out after confirming that you can for sure turn off the self clean. Here’s my thoughts — It doesn’t smell. Before this, I used a stainless steel litter box and scooped daily into the litter genie because I’m extremely sensitive to smells. I’ve had the Luma for about a week and a half (I know, a little too early to tell), but I’ve had no problems with smell so far. I love the camera. It sends me an alert when my cat gets near me and another one when my cat leaves. It records the whole process so I can see if there’s something wrong. It detects up to 10 cats (I only have one so I couldn’t test this, but it does great recognizing my cat). It also detects waste and the weight of your kitten. That being said, I know the LR does these things, but definitely at a much higher cost. From what I can tell, it cleans pretty well. When I go to clean it, I take my cat out of the room so she doesn’t set off any sensors and press the clean button on the app and let it do its thing. I do this every night. The only issue I’ve had so far was that I’d set it to clean and it would stop saying it detected my cats weight even though there’s no cat in the room. Since then, I learned that it can’t be directly next to anything because it’ll set off the weight sensors which to me isn’t really a big deal. It’s extremely easy to remove the basin and clean it. You just select empty all in the app to drain all the litter into the drawer. The sides pop out and you just carry it out to clean it. submitted by /u/Itchy-Self-1588 to r/Petlibro [link] [comments]

Dockstream 2 Wireless Keeps Stopping
Hi all, Waiting for Petlibro support past the AI bot (🙄) is a long process and my cats are insanely picky about wanting running water, so I'm hoping someone can help. For the second time in this past week, my wireless Dockstream 2 has stopped pumping after I added more water to it. I spent two hours getting it to work a few nights ago and I'm really frustrated about having to do it again and that I have no idea what fixed it last time. Does anyone have any ideas? This has been the most frustrating fountain experience, but I want to be able to monitor how much my cats are drinking. 😔 For context, I keep it plugged in so I can have the continuous flow. submitted by /u/pirate89RAWR to r/Petlibro [link] [comments]

Dockstream 2 not working anymore
I’m so frustrated. I bought this cordless Dockstream 2 via Chewy. It was delivered on 12/7 and worked until last night. The thing won’t connect to my wifi anymore (which has not changed) and it won’t calibrate. My cats loved drinking from this so I’m mad it just decided to stop connecting to anything. I’ve tried all the troubleshooting instructions and nothing works now. It did take a couple tries when I first got it to connect correctly to my wifi. I have to air feeders and they work perfectly. submitted by /u/Void-Tabby to r/Petlibro [link] [comments]

Petlibro is a scummy company
I purchased a Dockstream 2 water fountain. The motion sensor fountain randomly stops working (requiring daily babysitting by me to turn the unit off and an on -- like WTF -- my cat can't drink). There were wi-fi issues, and now the fountain no longer connects to wifi at all. I'm within the 30 day return window and Petlibro has not given me a return address to ship to. When I try instead to use the https://petlibro.returnscenter.com/ site, it won't let me proceed because it shows the unit as not being shipped. I won't be buying a Petlibro product again. Please use my experience as a warning. Do not buy from Petlibro. submitted by /u/BeachedCrab to r/Petlibro [link] [comments]

issues with dockstream 2
ok, so i bought the cordless dockstream 2 around november 9th. the first time i set it up, worked perfectly. then yesterday, it disconnected from the wifi and would not reconnect. i've turned it off and back on, unplugged it, waited 30 minutes and plugged it back in, used the reset button, everything. it will not connect, no matter what i do. i want to get a replacement but i bought it through amazon and theyre directing me to chat with a customer service associate. so im trying that but the associate will not answer my messages and ive been waiting over 10 minutes. is there some troubleshooting step i am missing? i also sent a message to petlibro support through reddit because ive seen them answer some posts. i really love this fountain and so does my cat, so i really want either this one to work or get a replacement. can anyone help? submitted by /u/rockytheredhead to r/Petlibro [link] [comments]

Cat water fountain - Petlibro Dockstream 2 - anyone have experience?
Been searching for a pump free cat fountain that doesn’t have a ton of pointless freakin nooks and crannies for bacteria to hide, and this seems to be the best one so far. I don’t care about the app or tracking or the bells and whistles, not getting the subscription or whatever, only interested in its utility. Has anyone tried it? Are you happy with it? Easy to clean, etc? Longevity? Thank you! submitted by /u/CheeseCatsBirds to r/CatAdvice [link] [comments]

Dockstream 2
Recently purchased a petlibro dockstream 2 for $40 on eBay. Had no water movement, poked around and found out the rotor is missing 🤦 I have got in contact with petlibro and wating for a response back to see if they can give me the missing part. Is this something that can be gotten from them? And would this solve the problems of no water coming out? The app functions fine with all features working. Good morning I'm thinking about upgrading my Petlibro Dockstream fountain as the filter cover support located under the water tray is now difficult to hold Is the filter fixing system the same between the two versions? The version 2 water tray is said to be made of stainless steel and is dishwasher safe. However, I have the impression that the water tray of the first version is also made of steel. Why couldn't it go in the dishwasher too? I read a lot of negative feedback on the maintenance of the water tank which was made of plastic. What about the water reserve of version two? Still plastic? What other advantages have you seen on the second version? Is it quieter today the current version as I made a perpetual noise of small clicking clicks which I attribute to the pump. Has anyone used the new version of the fountain and can confirm whether or not it is as loud? Now regarding the autonomy, it is said that its autonomy is 30 days, but I did not understand if the autonomy was measured by configuring the fountain in “motion detection” mode or in “permanent flow”. I have also read some negative feedback on the motion detector, so I would like to use this fountain in “permanent flow mode” Thank you for your feedback which will help me decide… or not! submitted by /u/Technical-Duty23 to r/Petlibro [link] [comments]

Petlibro Dockstream 2 filters
Hi there, We bought a Dockstream 2, and we have been looking for filters without success. Do you know if the filters from the previous version are compatible? We live in The Netherlands. submitted by /u/extmkv to r/Petlibro [link] [comments]

Should I get the Petlibro dockstream that’s wireless or the wired one?
I’m not sure which is more recommended. From what I’ve seen the cordless just need to be charged and the battery can last 30 days or something and the wired has to be plugged to the wall but can be used with the app. Is there any other differences? I like that the first one doesn’t need to be plugged in but I also like how the other one can track how much water my cat drinks? How accurate is it? Which do you prefer? submitted by /u/BootsStripes32 to r/Petlibro [link] [comments]

Petlibro Dockstream 2 doesn't work, just blinking filter change light once installed, no water.
What's causing this? submitted by /u/macro__ to r/Petlibro [link] [comments]

Dockstream 2 not available on Canadian site?
Hi there. I recently started shopping for new products for making it easier to feed and hydrate my pets, and Petlibro's options seem really comprehensive. I saw that they recently revealed the Dockstream 2, and are selling it on the American store. But in Canada, the Dockstream 2 has been revealed and is not available for sale. You can see here how the Dockstream 2 has been announced, but then clicking the "Shop Now" button leads to a "404 not found" page. https://preview.redd.it/nga08g3l1ljf1.png?width=3008&format=png&auto=webp&s=f279247f2b50cba29cb68772e8238c5644cdc156 I was wondering if this is an error, or if the Dockstream 2 just isn't available in Canada yet? submitted by /u/CanadianRoleplayer to r/Petlibro [link] [comments]

Petlibro feeder opened with my cat’s microchip — $1000 vet bill 😡
Just wanted to share what happened in case it helps anyone avoid the nightmare I just went through. I have the Petlibro RFID feeder — the kind that’s supposed to open only with the RFID tag, not microchips. Their website clearly says it doesn’t detect microchips. Well, turns out that’s not true😳 I noticed the feeder opened for my cat even when he wasn’t wearing the tag. I freaked out thinking he swallowed the RFID tag, because how else could it be opening? When I tagged his body to the feeder, it opened. So I rushed him to the emergency vet. Long story short: He didn’t eat the tag. After a $1000 vet bill (yes, including X-rays), we found out that the feeder was somehow opening due to his microchip — the last 6 digits matched, and the feeder was recognizing it as a valid tag. I emailed Petlibro and attached everything — photos, hospital bill, X-ray. I asked them to: 1. Update their product info (because this was super misleading) 2. Fix this issue 3. Reimburse me for the vet costs To be honest, I don’t think they will reimburse my money for the vet costs. But I saw some Reddit post some cats ate the rfid tag… I hope the company needs to acknowledge that feeder might detect microchip instead of the tag. This whole experience was so stressful. I honestly thought my cat had swallowed the tag and was going to need surgery or worse. I lost an entire day panicking. Please, if you use one of these feeders, double-check if it opens with just your pet’s microchip — especially if you rely on it for portion control or multi-pet feeding. (Just make sure the collar id is same as on the app. Mine was last 6 digits of microchip). I realized this after I went to ER. Has anyone else had this happen?? Hopefully this was helpful and I hope pet libro needs to do something with their website and update their machine. submitted by /u/zolpidemlee to r/CatDistributionSystem [link] [comments]
