I am due to have ear wax removal by a private clinic. Their website states "qualified as a Hearing Aid Audiologist in 2003 and is also HCPC registered". Being a bit cautious, how do I check the person is qualified to carry out micro suction?

I am using both wax and cream. Sometimes I used cream but most of the time used wax. Its result is good and also product packaging boxes are acceptable. The cream takes 10 mins for giving a result and wax takes more time but I like the results of the wax.

@LovingMine3, do not do your first wax while pregnant. My first ever wax was many many moons ago but I remember it like it was yesterday lol. I’ve since graduated to laser hair removal (which is always painful) I do not recommend your first time while you’re pregnant. Just shave or leave the bush, docs have seen it all

Not all polyclinic got this ear wax clearing service. They will direct u to the available polyclinic to clear the wax and you can make appointment with them. Need to apply olive oil for 2 weeks before you go there and they with spray water and flash it out for you. Actually, I think those wax removal outside is more effective.

Shave or wax is probably a better option. Hair removal creams have a lot of chemicals and your skin is more sensitive so you may have a reaction.

Unfortunately I don’t have an answer for you as I’m only 5 weeks but I’m curious what others’ experiences are as well, as majority of my hair removal is by wax/sugaring!

Hi, An ENT doctor should be visited. Wax should be removed by a physician if not you may injure vital parts. If blood stops and there are no complaints, even then check up is essential. Six weeks is needed to heal. You may require antibiotics drops. Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further. Regards, Dr. Sunny Madar, General & Family Physician
