It really depends on what you like. If you like the chewy sweetness of the tapioca balls , you really can’t replicate that. But there are lots of other “toppings” that are delicious. My favorite is adding pudding (Japanese custard/flan). Coffee jelly would go well too. Look into getting Asian brown sugar/black sugar, it’ll help replicate the taste!
