Ice cream is one of the most loved desserts all around the world. However, an increased number of people are discovering that they are lactose intolerant and cannot enjoy it anymore. That's why vegan ice cream became an overnight success since it offers plant-based frozen desserts with a variety of classic ice cream flavors.
Usually, the base for creamy vegan desserts are soy, almond, coconut, and rice milk, and other vegan ingredients are added to make it taste just like milk-based ones. When the market picked up this trend, the number of dairy-free ice cream options rose, especially since big brands saw a lot of potential on the expansion of the vegan market.

Warambimochi is a jelly-like dessert made from starch and covered with sweet soybean flour. Most people heard of mochi made of rice flour, but this one offers a distinctive flavor as it served cold with brown sugar syrup. It's immensely popular in the Kansai region, and its typically consumed in the summer. In Japan, you can even buy it in the streets as there is a lot of food trucks that sell it similarly to an ice cream truck in the West.
