How do you determine if a keyword is trending?
We analyze 5 years of Google search interest data using linear regression to calculate the trend slope. A positive slope means the keyword is growing, a negative slope means it's declining, and we check for seasonal patterns by analyzing monthly variance.
What do the trend verdicts mean?
Growing means search interest has been increasing over the past 5 years. Declining means interest has been decreasing. Seasonal means the keyword shows regular peaks and valleys throughout the year. Stable means interest has remained relatively flat.
