Need recommendations around GaN charger - (Wattage, Brand, Aesthetics)
Hi folks, I need guidance for a GaN charger purchase. There are tree considerations: Wattage I am not sure of, I feel 65W would be enough as I have to charge my 45W phone and a watch or sometimes laptop of 65W. Or should I consider 100W. Preferred setup is 2 USB C + 1 USB A. Brands I don't, all are new to me, so will need most of the guidance in this aspect. I care about the aesthetics and travel friendliness (compact). I liked the looks of Sharge and Daily Objects one but they are out of stock. Ultimately I am looking for a reliable charger, no heating issues, compact, 2K is the budget but can stretch if the product is worth it. And good aesthetics is a huge plus. Initial impressions: UGREEN Nexode Air 65W GaN Charger
https://preview.redd.it/83ohbsqjkbch1.png?width=1204&format=png&auto=webp&s=607f5d16cc354688ee1d5a59143d946f3693ef5e I also picked up UGREEN's new Nexode Air 65W GaN charger (single USB-C port). Amazon: https://www.amazon.ca/dp/B0GDCPBYHF/ Like its 100W sibling, the first thing that stands out is the size. It's extremely compact with folding prongs, making it an attractive option for travel or everyday carry. Initial protocol testing Using a ChargerLAB POWER-Z KM003C (firmware 2.0.3), the charger advertises: - USB PD 3.2 - 65W Power Delivery - AVS (Adjustable Voltage Supply) - PPS (Programmable Power Supply) - Qualcomm Quick Charge 4+ - Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.0 - Huawei FCP - Samsung AFC - BC1.2 DCP - Apple 2.4A charging It's nice to see UGREEN include support for several legacy fast-charging standards in addition to modern USB PD. On paper, this looks like a very capable compact charger. Compared to the 100W model, it adds Samsung AFC and Huawei FCP support, while advertising QC 4+ instead of QC 5. For anyone looking for a highly portable single-port charger that still supports a broad range of charging standards, it appears to be a strong contender. submitted by /u/ComprehensiveCap8242 to r/UsbCHardware [link] [comments]

UGREEN Nexode Air 45W Charger Slim REVIEW Compact USB-C Power for Travel
The UGREEN Nexode Air 45W Charger Slim packs fast USB-C charging into an impressively thin design, making it an excellent companion for travelers, remote workers, and Apple users looking to reduce bulk without sacrificing performance. I’ve tested a lot of chargers over the years, and while most of them focus on delivering more power or adding more ports, the UGREEN Nexode Air 45W Charger Slim takes a different approach. Instead of trying to be the most powerful charger in your bag, it focuses on being one of the easiest chargers to carry. After using it for a couple of weeks with my iPhone 16 Pro and 12.9-inch iPad Pro, I came away impressed by just how much UGREEN managed to shrink this charger without sacrificing charging performance. About UGREEN Nexode Air 45W Charger Slim The UGREEN Nexode Air 45W Charger Slim is an ultra-compact USB-C wall charger designed for users who want fast charging without carrying a bulky power adapter. Measuring just 61 × 40 × 11.7 mm (excluding the folding plug) and weighing approximately 53 grams, it is small enough to slip into a pocket, purse, or laptop bag with ease. Despite its slim profile, it delivers up to 45W of USB-C Power Delivery output, making it suitable for charging smartphones, tablets, handheld gaming devices, and lightweight laptops such as the MacBook Air. Built with Gallium Nitride (GaN) technology, the charger is designed to deliver efficient power while minimizing heat and reducing its overall size. UGREEN also incorporates its ThermalGuard™ temperature monitoring system to help maintain safe operating temperatures during extended charging sessions. A single USB-C port provides broad compatibility with modern USB-C devices, while foldable prongs make the charger even more convenient for travel. Design The first thing that struck me when I removed the Nexode Air 45W Charger Slim from the box was its size. It’s about the size of a classic Zippo lighter, although noticeably thinner. Product photos don’t really prepare you for how compact it feels in person. The charger has a premium feel despite its lightweight construction. There are plenty of compact chargers on the market that feel inexpensive or flimsy, but that wasn’t my impression here. The housing feels solid and well-built, and the foldable prongs add to its travel-friendly design. The closest product I’ve tested is the EZQuest 70W Dual USB-C Slim Charger, but the UGREEN charger is even smaller and easier to carry. One design decision I wasn’t particularly fond of was the placement of the USB-C port. The port is located on the bottom of the charger, which can make cable routing feel slightly awkward depending on where the outlet is located. It’s certainly not a dealbreaker, but it’s one area where I’d like to see a different approach in a future revision. Depending on the orientation of a wall outlet, the charger may partially block a neighboring outlet. In my experience, plugging it into the lower receptacle of a standard wall outlet generally left the upper outlet accessible. Results may vary with power strips and surge protectors. Everyday Use Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve primarily used the charger with my iPhone 16 Pro and 12.9-inch iPad Pro. During that time, it performed reliably without any issues. I never noticed any coil whine, buzzing, or electrical noise while charging. The charger also remained securely seated in wall outlets and never felt heavy enough to sag or work itself loose. What I appreciated most was how easy it was to carry. I regularly tossed it into my purse or laptop bag when heading out to work remotely. Compared to traditional cube-shaped chargers, the slim profile takes up significantly less space and feels noticeably lighter. For frequent travelers, those small differences add up quickly. Performance While I used the charger with both an iPhone and an iPad, I performed my formal charging test using an iPhone 16 Pro. The test began with the phone at 35% battery and ran for 32 minutes. By the end of the charging session, the battery had reached 76%, representing a 41% increase in just over half an hour. For a charger designed around portability, those results were impressive and provided more than enough power for quickly topping off a phone before leaving home or heading to a meeting. I also monitored temperatures after the charging session using an infrared thermometer. In a room that was approximately 70°F, the charger measured between 94°F and 97°F depending on where the reading was taken. Those temperatures are comfortably within the range I’d expect from a modern GaN charger and indicate that UGREEN’s thermal management is doing its job. The charger became slightly warm during use but never concerningly hot. Value At $39.99 (on Amazon), I think UGREEN has priced the Nexode Air 45W Charger Slim appropriately. There are certainly cheaper 45W chargers available, but very few offer this combination of compact size, premium build quality, foldable prongs, and reliable performance. Final Thoughts The UGREEN Nexode Air 45W Charger Slim succeeds because it understands its purpose. Rather than chasing higher wattage numbers, it focuses on delivering dependable charging performance in an exceptionally compact package. If portability is a priority and you want a charger that can easily travel with you every day, the Nexode Air 45W Charger Slim is an easy recommendation. Wall charger (adapter) with travel adapters
Hi everyone, I'm looking for a wall charger (adapter) for traveling. I was considering the SlimQ 150W 4-Port USB-C GaN Charger (travel set), but I think the brand had some issues where some of the adapters got "stuck" to the charger... The other alternative is an Anker Nano Travel Adapter + an Anker charger (with 3 USB-C ports), or the UGREEN Uno Charger 100W. The idea is for it to support dual voltage so I don't run into any power issues with my electronics (which are just a few: a laptop, a cell phone, and headphones). What do you all recommend? submitted by /u/Sleepwalkingok to r/UsbCHardware [link] [comments]

MOKiN 140W GaN Charger & 45W Power Bank REVIEW Premium Charging at an Affordable Price
From powering laptops at your desk to keeping your devices charged on the go, MOKiN’s latest charging duo delivers dependable performance, thoughtful features, and impressive value. I’ve reviewed quite a few MOKiN products over the years, and they’ve become one of those brands I genuinely look forward to testing. Whether it’s a docking station, USB-C hub, or charger, I’ve consistently been impressed by the quality of the materials, thoughtful designs, and reliable performance. MOKiN has earned a reputation in my setup as a brand that delivers dependable accessories without the premium price tag that many competitors charge. Founded around 2016, MOKiN focuses on USB-C accessories, including docking stations, hubs, adapters, and charging solutions. As laptops and tablets have increasingly adopted USB-C while removing traditional ports, the company has built its product lineup around helping users connect displays, transfer data, and charge multiple devices with as little hassle as possible. Backed by its parent manufacturer, C-SmartLink Information Technology in Shenzhen, MOKiN has expanded its reach to customers in more than 100 countries and continues to grow its lineup with practical, well-built accessories. For this review, I had two of MOKiN’s latest charging products: the 140W GaN 4-Port Charger with Smart Touch Display and the 45W 10,000mAh Portable Power Bank with a retractable USB-C cable. Together, they create a versatile charging combination that’s equally at home on your desk or packed in your travel bag. After spending time with both, it’s clear they continue the trend I’ve come to expect from MOKiN solid build quality, useful features, and dependable performance that make everyday charging just a little easier. Features MOKiN designed both of these charging accessories with convenience and performance in mind. The 140W GaN Charger delivers enough power to charge everything from laptops to smartphones while supporting up to four devices at the same time, making it an excellent choice for anyone looking to reduce cable and charger clutter on their desk. Its built-in smart display provides real-time charging information, so you can easily monitor power output and charging status. Paired with it is the compact 45W 10,000mAh Power Bank, which is built for travel and everyday use. Despite its pocket-friendly size, it offers fast USB-C Power Delivery charging, enough capacity to recharge your devices throughout the day, and a built-in 2.3-foot retractable USB-C cable that eliminates the need to carry an extra charging cable. It also features a real-time battery display, making it easy to see exactly how much power remains before heading out. Unboxing and Setup The unboxing experience is simple and straightforward for both products. Inside the 140W GaN Charger box, you’ll find the charger itself, a USB-C to USB-C cable, and a user manual to help you get started. The 45W Power Bank keeps things even simpler. Inside the box is the power bank and a user manual. Since it features a built-in retractable USB-C cable, there is no need to include a separate charging cable. Both products are ready to use within minutes, making setup quick and hassle-free. I started out by charging the power bank with the wall charger it took around 45 minutes to fully charge. Overall Use After spending time with both of these products, I’m once again impressed with what MOKiN has to offer. I’ve reviewed several of the company’s products over the years, and they continue to deliver excellent build quality, dependable performance, and thoughtful features at a competitive price. The 140W GaN Charger has become part of my everyday setup. I’ve been using it to keep my 15-inch MacBook Air and 13-inch iPad Pro M5 charged, and it has handled both devices without any issues. I also tested it under much heavier loads by charging two large-capacity power banks and my Macbook Air at the same time. Even while supplying that much power, the charger remained stable and performed exactly as expected. Out of curiosity, I monitored the charger’s surface temperature during this stress test using an infrared thermometer. At its hottest point, I recorded a temperature of 164.3°F. While that may sound high, high-output GaN chargers are designed to operate at elevated temperatures under heavy loads, and the charger continued operating normally throughout my testing without any charging interruptions or noticeable performance drops. While researching the product before writing this review, I did come across a handful of customer comments mentioning that their charger stopped working after about a month of use. I always like to acknowledge feedback like that when I see it. In my own experience, however, I have not encountered that issue. I’ve used this charger regularly with multiple devices, including during extended high-power charging sessions, and it has continued to perform reliably. Of course, every user’s experience can be different, but I can only speak to the results I’ve had during my testing. The 45W Power Bank has also been a great companion. Its compact size makes it easy to slip into a pocket or backpack, and the built-in retractable USB-C cable is one of those features you quickly come to appreciate. Not having to carry a separate cable makes charging on the go much more convenient, and the 45W output provides enough power to quickly top off phones, tablets, and even compatible laptops. If you’re looking for a reliable desktop charger and a travel-friendly power bank, this combination is easy to recommend. Both products are well built, perform exactly as advertised, and complement each other well whether you’re working at home, in the office, or traveling. Based on my experience with these products and several other MOKiN accessories I’ve reviewed, the company continues to make high-quality charging gear that I have no problem recommending. Conclusion The MOKiN 140W GaN 4-Port Charger and 45W 10,000mAh Power Bank make an excellent pair for anyone who needs dependable charging both at home and on the go. Throughout my testing, both products performed exactly as advertised, offering fast charging, thoughtful features, and solid build quality. What continues to impress me most about MOKiN is the value the company provides. These products don’t just feel well made, they also compete with charging accessories that often cost significantly more. From the smart display on the wall charger to the retractable cable on the power bank, it’s clear that a lot of thought went into making them practical for everyday use. Overall, I’m very happy with both products and have no plans to replace them anytime soon. They’ve earned a permanent spot in my daily setup, whether I’m charging my MacBook Air at my desk or carrying the power bank while traveling. If you’re looking for high-quality charging accessories at a reasonable price, both of these MOKiN products are easy recommendations.

Mcdodo 100W GaN Charger EXPLODES ON ME!
https://preview.redd.it/i7xlvyrj4q9h1.png?width=894&format=png&auto=webp&s=e52829d1fd4d8cbf9584e3ff1b5eed5983fffc77 Story time: I've had this charger since last week and I was happy with it. It was fast and could handle multiple devices. Since I had the Mcdodo 67W travel charger, I didn't think much of it. I had 0 problems with that one charging my iPhone and MacBook Pro for 2 for almost two years now. I was talking to my friend on the phone and heard a loud pop. The breaker popped and the room went dark (at this time only my $2000 MacBook Pro was connected to it which miraculously survived). I unplugged everything and started to test each plug to find the short, but everything was fine, BUT IT WASN’T! The charger was lit but my laptop didn't charge, and after trying the other USB-C port, I found out the C1 port was dead. I let it cool down and tried again, no luck. I opened it and everything looked clean and shiny, and I couldn't find any problems, UNTIL I peeled the yellow tape off and looked underneath the thermal pad a popped MOSFET! I seriously discourage you guys from buying or using this charger till Mcdodo addresses this issue P.S: I was only using Mcdodo-branded USB-C cables. https://preview.redd.it/mrj6zl8r4q9h1.jpg?width=3024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=9e38242d002ea492170bfaa54aea8039bf18dfc9 https://preview.redd.it/su5g9cto4q9h1.jpg?width=3021&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=03ade4a0c46cf2dabed1e25572dac502c9b17100 submitted by /u/majdian to r/UsbCHardware [link] [comments]

How do retractable cable GaN chargers not cook themselves?
Been looking at compact GaN chargers and noticed retractable cable models are finally showing up. Belkin just dropped a 67W one and mfish has the 65W erhino, which honestly looks great. What I can't figure out though: with the cable spool sitting right next to the GaN components, how do they manage thermals? Is there active cooling, or does the spool mechanism itself serve as a heatsink somehow? Has anyone here opened one up or tested sustained 65W+ output vs a non-retractable equivalent? Compact chargers already run hot and adding a moving part seems like an extra challenge, wondering how they solved it rather than if they didn't. submitted by /u/ForeverDecent7765 to r/UsbCHardware [link] [comments]

FYI - Xbox 360 heatsinks fit perfectly on the 280W GaN chargers
Always got paranoid with how hot these chargers ran under full load, so decided to see if the heatsinks from my dead 360 would make any difference. Not only do they significantly reduce the heat on the charger (only slightly warm to the touch after several hours of use as opposed to burning hot w/o heatsinks) but they are a PERFECT fit and cover the entire surface area of the charger. Ordered some thermal pads on Amazon to help with the dissipation, and couldn’t be more happy with the results! Definitely not a good fit for those that often move or travel with the charger, but for other desktop replacement users, this is a great way to keep temps under control. submitted by /u/Own_Basil8999 to r/razer [link] [comments]

Any reviews for this 245w lenovo GaN charger?
In the market for an additional charger for my legion pro 7i gen 10. Will mainly use the other charger for travels and was considering 140w at first but I found this 245w GaN charger which seemed perfect but I wanted to know first how it performs based on realworld use and if the 245w really does provide more power. I am slightly confused by its cable, is it a type c or the charger port for the laptop (like same with the cable from the 400w)? I mainly edit photos and videos on my laptop with some gaming and I didn't mind not being able to game with the 140w but I realized I might still need more power for video editing which is why I am leaning more towards this 245w. submitted by /u/TableMindless to r/LenovoLegion [link] [comments]

Is the NU Republic 100W GaN charger actually worth it?
I’m thinking of getting it mainly because it’s only ₹1799, which feels a bit too cheap compared to other 100W GaN chargers. I’ll be using it with a Lenovo LOQ 15IRX9., but only for light stuff like browsing, YouTube, and maybe the occasional Zoom call(rare btw) — no gaming or heavy workloads. I don’t really care about getting the full 100W all the time, I just want something portable instead of carrying the big charger around, and it being able to keep my laptop fully charged (while not losing battery slowly). Has anyone used this charger long-term? Is it reliable and safe, or should I just spend more on something better?(Ion got that kinda money btw💔🥀) submitted by /u/Nekurodagoat to r/GadgetsIndia [link] [comments]

New travel charger
https://a.co/d/060EPJz1 or https://a.co/d/03UweJca I'm looking for a new travel charger. It needs to be at least a 65w and usb-c pd 20v. It needs to have at least 1 USB-c, and 1 USB-a. I would like the system not not drop power for all ports when I plug in a new device. I am not super worried about price, but lower is better. I have found these 2, and am looking for recommendations, for one of these or something different. Thanks y'all! submitted by /u/levoniust to r/UsbCHardware [link] [comments]

Zephyrus G14 2024 owners — is this a good travel charger alternative? (also open to other recs!)
Hey everyone!! So I recently got myself a Zephyrus G14 2024 for heavier creative work—video editing, graphic design, 3D modeling— and I am OBSESSED. Absolute beast of a machine, especially coming from a MacBook 13 Pro. 100% worth the jump given how heavy my projects get. BUT. One thing I genuinely miss from the MacBook life is how travel-friendly the charger was. Just a compact block + a wire. So easy to pack. The stock G14 charger is… not exactly like that lol… So I’ve been looking into the UGREEN 100W GaN charger (the 5-port one — 4 USB-C, 1 USB-A) as a travel alternative. I’ve seen that the G14 needs at least 100W to keep the battery healthy, and this one maxes out at 100W on a single port which should cover it. My situation when traveling: - Only charging the G14, nothing else plugged in simultaneously - Not doing heavy renders or anything intensive while out— saving that for home with the stock 180W charger - Just want something small and convenient for on-the-go light use Does this seem like a reasonable setup? Would love to know if any of you have tried this or have other compact charger recommendations that work well with the G14! Also planning to grab the UGREEN 100W USB-C cable to go with it! Please share your thoughts and recommendations! I’m pretty new to the G14 community and REALLY want to take care of this amazing thing! Very pleased with this new GaN charger for my G14 5080
Heard about this Corsulin GaN charger on one of the Reddit discussions and decided to pick one up for my travels. Charger specs are 20V, 12A, 240W with a 6.0 x 3.7mm barrel plug. There was a version with the correct G14 square plug but it was roughly 25% more in price. Price for this barrel plug version was 65AUD (approx US$44.50) on AliExpress with free shipping to Australia and before tax. I purchased the plug adapter seperately from another seller for roughly US$4. The adapter selling page showed that it was rated for 240w. Very pleased with the purchase. The adapter connects firmly and is tight. I like the 90 degree angle and can rotate the barrel plug at any angle. Cord length is 2m I believe and I have ordered a short extension power cable to the charger so it won't need to hang awkwardly on the wall. Haven't stressed tested it yet as I don't game much. But it's working quite well so far. The charger is so much smaller and weighs much less than the original. Happy camper. submitted by /u/Underwatercam to r/ZephyrusG14 [link] [comments]

Experience with slimQ 150W USB-C GaN charger?
Hi everyone, I’m currently comparing Some GaN chargers and could use some help. At the moment I am looking at chargers from Baseus, Ugreen, Anker and SlimQ. SlimQ 150W GaN Charger UGREEN Nexode 140W GaN Charger On Reddit and other websites, people are enthusiast about the slimQ. I like about the SlimQ 150W: • It comes with many different plug adapters, which is great for travel • Switching between devices seems to work smoothly • The included extension cable is a big plus for desk use • Very flexible setup overall compared to most wall chargers My concern with the SlimQ: • I’ve read quite a few comments online saying the charger stops working after a few months • Overheating and inconsistent power output • Bad ports where cables fall out • All these very positive and very negative reviews online make me doubt… Hope that you can share your experience when you have a SlimQ or similar charger. submitted by /u/cartierplanga to r/UsbCHardware [link] [comments]

Sharing my experience was a Lenovo GaN charger
I own a Legion 7i (i9-14900HX RTX4070). I work and game on it almost daily. It has been a year, and I absolutely love this machine. As someone that commutes every day, travels every week and flies every month with it, I really wanted to do something about the charger. The laptop weighs around 2.3kg and the charger weighs another 1kg. Its overall shape and think cables also take up a lot of precious backpack space. I made a post on this sub about this issue and some of you told me about a GaN charger by Lenovo sold exclusively in China. Since my charger is of 230W and there was a 245W GaN charger available, I decided to find a way to get my hands on it. With the lack of shipping options with AliExpress to India, I used a Freight Forwarder and ordered the charger last month. It took a total of 28 days to reach me at my address. I got it a couple of days ago and after testing it and living with it, I am extremely satisfied with my decision. It is half the weight of my 230W charger. Volume-wise, it is less than half the size. I have placed an Xbox controller below it for scale. Its cables are also a lot slimmer than the original charger. The fact that the adapter directly plugs into the socket is another advantage that I didn't know I needed. There is a neat little display on the plug that plugs into the charging port which displays the wattage as well. It looks and feels great to the touch. I am able to game with it, no problem. Any other gamer that hauls their Lenovo laptop around like I do, look into this. I highly recommend it. submitted by /u/Asc3ndis to r/IndianGaming [link] [comments]

Travel adapter / multi port fast (GaN?) charger solution for Canadian going to Asia
Looking for help in figuring out a minimal, fool proof system to fast charge: MacBook Pro 2023 iPhone 15 Pro Airpods I'm going to Taiwan, Vietnam, and Thailand for at least 5 or 6 weeks. I currently only have original Apple chargers and cables (edit: single USB-C input on my laptop charger, and a Magsafe phone charger – also to those about to suggest an Apple travel adapter kit, they stopped making/selling them recently!) I haven't tried to simplify or upgrade my charger situation for onebagging so far. I'm kind of lost about what I actually need. I'll be staying in everything from hotels to Airbnbs to rural huts, mostly not in hotels. I'm considering whether I need a universal travel adapter that sits unused mostly (since most of my travelling is within North America) or just to get country-specific adapter plugs for a GaN fast charger with USB C and A inputs. I want it to be able to charge the Macbook Pro and iPhone at the same time and fast. The Airpods I can charge from my computer, and they last a while so I'm not too concerned about them. When I started out my research I thought I might find some magical piece of tech that does all of the above, an all-in-one universal adapter/fast charger/power bank that could charge my laptop and phone together. And be super slim lol. Now I realize I may have been delusional. I just want as small, lightweight, high-quality, and seamless a system as possible and I'm not too worried about saving pennies with this, if it's an awesome solution. Also wondering whether it would be worth it to also have a powerbank. I'm not going to be camping, just day hikes, most likely. The last time I travelled in SEA was 15 years ago, and most of the types of places I stayed in didn't have Western style toilets, some didn't have wall sockets, and I'm unsure how much has changed since then. Please explain like I don't totally know what I'm talking about since I'm new to researching this type of technology, although I'm not a luddite. I have looked at the posts about this but am feeling overwhelmed and kind of lost and I have a lot to do with limited time so I'd like not to spend a ton more time on this. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance! Edit: Since people seem in disagreement about this, I made an American-centric chart of relevant socket/plug types for the countries involved. A = Two vertical flat pins, B = two vertical flat pins + one round prong below Compatible Not always compatible Usually compatible, bearing in mind Type B sockets are rare What to Bring (if you have plugs from North America / Central America / Japan) 1. Universal travel adapter or adapter that converts your A plugs, and B if you have them, to Type O for less modern buildings that that don't have universal sockets and because Types A, B, C, and F plugs can be loose in universal sockets and fall out or not work properly. 2. Voltage converter IF your devices are not dual voltage compatible. 1. Universal travel adapter or adapter that converts your A plugs, and B if you have them, to Types C and D. 2. Voltage converter IF your devices are not dual voltage compatible (generally speaking, things with motors or that generate high heat, eg hair tools, are not dual voltage compatible.) Possibly nothing, although if you have Type B plugs (3-prong grounded), you will likely need an adapter to convert to Type A, since those sockets are rare in Taiwan. Laptop chargers can have Type B plugs. submitted by /u/Small-Speaker6134 to r/onebag [link] [comments]

[Datapoints Welcome] List of USB-C GaN Chargers that renegotiates power without disconnecting ANY existing devices
Currently, the majority of the USB-C multiport chargers temporarily disconnect and reconnect existing plugged-in devices when you plug in a new device. It's called power renegotiating or "second handshake". That is not a desirable behavior, but unfortunately that's the norm. My Ugreen 100w 4 port does this to the USB-A port when I plug a new cable into the USB-C port, it's quite annoying. I'm trying to gather a list of chargers that performs dynamic power renegotiation aka doesn't disconnect any of your existing devices when you plug a new one in. Please post your data points in the comments, whether your GaN charger disconnects them or not. PS: Can anyone with an Anker PowerIQ 4.0 charger comment on whether they disconnect or not when plugging in new devices? I think most of their GaNPrime models have PowerIQ 4.0.
