RE:Why don’t you lift weights?
Personally I have found adjustable dumbbells more awkward than adjustable kettlebells. I might consider an adjustable kettlebell, and dumbbells of 2.5, 5, 7.5, 10, 15, 25, 35 and 45 (or fewer) on a tree. Maybe others have had better experiences though and can recommend a good adjustable dumbbell.

Freak athlete adjustable kettlebells
Has anyone tried the freak athlete adjustable kettlebells? I’m getting a lot of ads for them and their design seems pretty clever to me. Has anyone tried them out and are they much better than the traditional adjustable kettlebell designs like bells of steel? I submitted by /u/histecondude to r/kettlebell [link] [comments]

Adjustable Kettlebells: Bells of Steel vs. Titan Fitness vs. Freak Athlete
I'm looking to get a pair of adjustable kettlebells, and am looking for your experience with these brands and your recommendations. Bells of Steel and Titan Fitness appear to have gone with pretty much the same design, so is there any reason to pay the higher price for the BoS version? Meanwhile, FA has gone with a more innovated design, and weight transition would be faster, but what's the tradeoff? Any big disadvantages with this version to make it something to avoid? So, is there more to it than personal preference, or do they all work just as well as the other options? And finally, are there other brands outside of these three that go up to at least 32kg that should be considered, too? https://preview.redd.it/7w69tvoym55h1.png?width=288&format=png&auto=webp&s=a48c21eba46fd17ce88bb69a959d6f116b0f7569 https://preview.redd.it/rmbsu6rxm55h1.png?width=693&format=png&auto=webp&s=02ed8a82aeb0828f41c290aae99a44f47cc939ee https://preview.redd.it/0gtpawkzm55h1.png?width=367&format=png&auto=webp&s=17073495a3bc9feb49abf7f5f0785656014e537c submitted by /u/Galahadred to r/kettlebell [link] [comments]

Quality Adjustable Kettlebell
I'm looking to add an adjustable kettlebell to my home gym and wanted to see what everyone recommends. My goals are mainly strength and conditioning workouts (swings, cleans, presses, goblet squats, etc.). I'd like something durable that can handle regular use, but I'm also trying to keep costs reasonable. For those of you who own adjustable kettlebells: What brand/model do you have? How long have you had it? Any issues with durability or changing weights? If you were buying again, would you get the same one? I'm open to both budget-friendly and premium options. Thanks for any recommendations. submitted by /u/Legionary650 to r/GarageGym [link] [comments]

Freak Athlete Adjustable Kettlebell
I’m very new to kettlebells and am excited to learn how to use these. I have a small corner in my living room to workout, so the space savings is key. I also don’t own other heavy weights (one set of 25lb and 30lb dumbbells, and and old-school screw adjustable dumbbell set I found in a giveaway pile), so having something adjustable for farmer carriers or weighted calisthenics seemed very beneficial. I had a few weeks to practice with a single 25lb bell borrowed from my neighbor and am jumping into ABF with the lowest weight possible so far, 26.5lbs. submitted by /u/ocho_bot to r/kettlebell [link] [comments]

Adjustable Kettlebell or Fixed 32 KG kettlebell?
Hi, beginner here. I normally do calisthenic. Im just got interest into the world of Kettlebell. I have limited space and financial resource. I can only choose one for my one single "forever" kettlebell. Which one should I buy assuming they are the same price? Restoring a titan adjustable kettlebell
Hi all, I pick up this 12-32kg titan adjustable kettlebell on FB marketplace for $70 that needed some love. It had some chips and dings. These were the steps I took to get it back to life: - paint stripper and scraper - wire wheel attachment on drill - acetone and “goof off” for stubborn spots - JB Weld Steelstik to fill in chips and dings - Dremel and orbital sander to smooth the excess epoxy - painters tape (frog tape where a straight line was needed) - Rust-Oleum Universal (I think I got a defective can, since it was dripping paint, unlike any spray can I have used before) PS: remember proper PPE when working with most of this stuff. I luckily had most of the supplies, only needed to go buy the paint which was $11.96 including tax. Very excited to be working out with my new kettlebell! submitted by /u/Select-Ant1680 to r/kettlebell [link] [comments]

adjustable kettlebell 40 kg - pro/cons ? useful, useless?
hello, what do you think about an adjustable kettlebell of 40 kg ? I think about to buy one or two of them. first : adjustable, because I don't want to buy kettlebells again and again second: 40 kg --> in theory, it's more durable than a 32 kg. I will probably evolve, and can use it more time than a 32. but, today I'm able to comfortably press 20 kg ....so I have the possibility to progress for a long time. maybe I will never be able to press 32 kg. in how many time in average you've reached the 32 kg. ..and then what ? did you bought heaviest kettlebell or you have just change your workout to make them harder with the same weight? thanks for your advices! submitted by /u/LastMasterpiece1020 to r/kettlebell [link] [comments]

Adjustable Kettlebells from Alibaba
These are the exact ones that BOS sells but for a much cheaper price. I paid around $55 for each, $110 for both, and plus $125 for shipping to the US. It’s a little annoying that the shipping costs more than the bells themselves but understandable due to weight and transportation. It took me around 35 days to get it, takes a little time since they ship it through the sea. Before purchasing, I searched through different vendors; some offered me $350 for everything, but eventually, I found the cheapest one which came up to $250. The bells without the weight are 12KG or 25LBS. Extra addable weights are 22KG (if i am not mistaken), which comes up to 34KGS total, which is very solid! They also accidentally included one extra 2kg one, which I don’t mind lol. I primarily use these for conditioning training since my main training is MMA, and kettlebells get me into great shape. I love the competition style as well because they are very comfortable to grip and look nice as well. So far, I am in love with these; the only issue is that they can be a bit too bulky. If you swing with both, they can touch each other in between the legs, so you need to have a little wider stance so that doesn’t happen. If you don’t care for it, it shouldn’t be a problem for you. I have neighbors downstairs, so I need to be as silent as possible lol. If you have any questions, AMA! submitted by /u/HalfJust7737 to r/kettlebell [link] [comments]

Getting adjustable kettlebell… should I get single or a pair?
Looking at Bells of Steel 12-32 Kg $332.99. I’m about 4 weeks into my kettlebell journey at the gym (25-35lbs), and it’s been a complete game changer (I’ve otherwise been training for many years with dumbbells 5-6 times a week and a day of barbells / compound lifts here or there). I now want to train with a kettlebell every other day on the beach. There’s a 10% saving if you order a pair $598.99. I’m wondering if I should hold off and buy the second several months later - or make the investment now with the assumption that I’ll eventually need a second kettlebell? My rationale is less about the convenience of switching between two different weights, and more about evolving to double kettlebell workouts. I’m just not experienced enough to know if that’s something inevitable (and if so… months away… years away?!), or whether double kettlebells are just an alternative method of training and optional in the long run. Time and form wise, I’m ready to invest in many years of kettlebell training, either way. Would love opinions on this. submitted by /u/new-to-reddit-accoun to r/kettlebell [link] [comments]

After 6 years of owning different types of adjustable kettlebells - Freak Athletes new bell feels like an evolution
Taking a picture of the line up before I start consolidating. I admit that I was skeptical of the bell when I ordered it in videos it looked too polished but when I get it in. Coops breakdown on the new bell is spot on. I haven't had a chance to swing it around in a workout but it does feel premium and an upgrade. submitted by /u/Marinec06 to r/kettlebell [link] [comments]

Adjustable vs. Fixed Kettlebells – How much does the training experience differ?
I'm considering getting an adjustable kettlebell (the type where you add plates and secure them with a nut) mainly to save space and money. Before I commit, I'd love to hear from those of you who have experience training with both adjustable and traditional fixed kettlebells. My main concern isn't about brand quality, but about the fundamental training experience. For those who have used both: Ballistic movements: How do adjustable bells perform with swings, snatches, and cleans? Do they feel "alive" and balanced at the top of a swing, or does the shifting weight change the movement? The "feel": Is there a noticeable difference in how the weight sits in the rack position? Does an adjustable bell ever feel awkward or unstable compared to a solid cast iron or competition bell? Practicality: Does the need to change plates between exercises break your flow significantly? Or do you just pick a weight and stick with it for the whole session? Durability concerns: For those who have used an adjustable long-term – how do they hold up to occasional drops (I know we're not supposed to drop them, but accidents happen)? I'm trying to understand if the convenience of adjustability comes at a noticeable cost to the training quality. Would appreciate any insights from your experiences!" submitted by /u/astorfuzz to r/kettlebell [link] [comments]

Adjustable kettlebells useful life
For those that have two adjustable kettlebells 12-32kg , how long from starting your workouts did you find you outgrew them if at all? I’m only a few weeks in and can easily squat with a 20kg so in a year I’m hoping 32 kg is doable. (Upper body I’m at 12kg so quite a way left for that). Just wondering if others felt they had to go higher than 32kg and how long after they started working out did the feel the need. For standard weights I know the aim is to go up in reps or weight every week or so, must be different with kettlebells given the larger jumps in weights. submitted by /u/Square-Plane-1000 to r/kettlebell [link] [comments]

Alibaba adjustable kettlebell "review"
Hi all, following other members of the community I decided to bite the bullet and bought a pair of adjustable kettlebells (12-32kg) from Alibaba. Here are my first impressions (let me preface this by saying that I'm not affiliated to the Chinese company and that my experience with bells is still relatively low, these are the first proper pair that I own as I've only used the ones in the gym.) - Packaging: I received 2 boxes (one box for the bell and a smaller one for the weights). The empty bell came well protected and packaged, however the box of the weights was torn open and had been re-taped and is missing a 2kg plate. (I'll follow it up with the company and see what they say) - Weights: The weight of the plates seem to be correct (I used a more precise kitchen scale up to the 4kg plate, and a bathroom scale for the 6kg and the empty bell) - Usage: I've only had the chance to do a small workout but I couldn't feel any rattling and the bell behaved as expected. As mentioned, I've never owned any other adjustable kettlebells, so can't tell you to which brand they look similar but the size and shape is consistent with a competition style one. - Link: https://www.alibaba.com/x/1lAIZ1N?ck=pdp - Price: x2 bells (USD55 x2 = USD110) Shipping (Ocean freight to UK+DPD within the UK) = USD129 TOTAL: USD239 (I paid DDP -Delivery Duties Paid- meaning no extra duties, taxes, VAT whatsoever). - Timeline: Dec 10th: Purchase Dec 14th: Parcel shipped Jan 25th: UK port arrival Feb 5th: UK home delivery - Colour: I received the bells in black and they look very well done. That being said, I had asked for the bells to be "green" and was told it was possible, so although I'm not disappointed it's something to keep in mind that they may not send you the colour you want if different from black. I'm happy to take pics, videos and answer any questions from the community (I'm away for a long weekend so pictures may have to wait a bit). Thoughts on adjustable bells?
Good morning folks, Looking for any advice or info on any adjustable kettle bells yall might be using or have experiencewith. Long story short, small house, too many kids, and with working 12s nearly every day, I dont have time to make it to the gym everyday anymore to use the bells there. Looking to maybe buy a pair I can hide away and break out when I'm home. Any advice would be very much appreciated. Much love. EDIT: Purchased the cheapest of the ones you guys suggested. Kettlebell kings in pink, $40 cheap than the next. Thanks for all your info and suggestions submitted by /u/LagCityNative to r/kettlebell [link] [comments]

Mirafit Adjustable Kettlebell - Thoughts?
Does anyone have the Mirafit Adjustable Kettlebell and if so what do they make of it? I was looking at the Wolverson one however the Mirafit one uses a weight changing mechanism that would be much quicker, however I’m just worried that the weight plates could fly out the bottom of the kettlebell when doing certain manoeuvres such as swings. https://mirafit.co.uk/mirafit-adjustable-kettlebell.html submitted by /u/Leather_Let_6630 to r/kettlebell [link] [comments]

Adjustable kettlebell - yay or nay?
I've gotten into kettlebells lately. My family normally works out at a gym, but I told my wife I'd love some kettlebells to have at home for Christmas. I accidentally found out she got me an adjustable kettlebell from Rep Fitness. I love doing high pulls, rage pulls, chainsaws, halos etc - any kind of rotational move where I'm swinging the bell absolutely as hard as I can. I immediately became convinced this adjustable kb will fall apart and I'll have weights fly into the wall or tv. Has anyone used this? Is it reliable? I don't see anyone using this in the videos here. It's not what I wanted. It's way more expensive than what I wanted. And I just don't think I'll ever use it because I'll never trust it like I would a hunk of iron. But I could be making this all up and they're fine. It mostly got good reviews on Amazon, except for the 2 start review saying on the first use it dropped all there weights right towards the reviewer's head - which immediately cemented all my fears. submitted by /u/pnw-techie to r/kettlebell [link] [comments]

Adjustable Kettlebells…
Looking to get into the competition style KBs, and deciding between slowly building up an array of different sizes or just buying a pair of adjustable. Anyone here own the BoS adjustable kettlebells? Thoughts? Pros/Cons? Any other brands out there that you recommend? Also, I am not a fan of single hand swings, I prefer both hands on the bell for swings(prefer snatches for single hand work). I have some cast iron bells I’ll keep around that go up to 48kg for double hand swings. With that being said, are competition bells as bad as I’ve heard for two hand swings? Context, I am 6’3” with large hands. Will probably wait for some Black Friday sales, as funds are tight at the moment. Is the adjustable kettlebell a good pick for a budding home gym?
So I currently have a 25 lb kettlebell that I believe I've surpassed. 35 lbs or 16 kg is where I'm thinking I need to be. Now I've been told the mantra of "Buy once, cry once" so I'm trying to buy things that will last me long term. I recently bought and love my Powerblock EXPs. Thing is, I won't use kettle bells in as many workouts. I'm not looking to get into competitions or Calisthenics, I'm just wanting the kettlebell for particular workouts like Swings or Romanian Deadlifts. Currently, I'm looking at the Bells of Steel or Rep Fitness adjustables. From those who may have experience starting a home gym, do you think going adjustable with the kettlebells off the bat is worth it, or should I just grab a 35 lb one and use the leftoveer money on other things I may need for my gym like a weight stand or better matts submitted by /u/TotalLeeAwesome to r/kettlebell [link] [comments]

AITA for leaning on a nearby wall after being denied use of gym equipment by a woman doing supersets?
So my apartment building has a small exercise area including a cable crossover machine, an adjustable bench, dumbbells, some treadmills, and a small side room for yoga or other bodyweight/kettlebell exercises. The gym was empty this morning except for one woman doing row exercises on the cable crossover machine. I noticed that she had placed her phone next to the bench with a couple of dumbbells. For context, I’m a tall-ish guy and she’s shortish and appears nonbinary (which is fine by me, I’ll refer to her as “she” here because I don’t know her pronouns or how she personally identifies). I specify this because it seems like that plays into the dynamic from her perspective. “Can I use this bench?” I ask. “No,” she replies. “I’m doing supersets.” I was a bit taken aback. There is room for two, maybe three people in the resistance/weight training area, and she was using every piece of equipment. Not sure what to do, I lean on a nearby wall and start looking at my phone. I’m a bit miffed and I look up every so often to see when she’ll be done. She takes her earphone out and says something to the effect of, “Are you just going to stand there?” and we get in a big argument. I say something to the effect of “What else am I supposed to do? You won’t let me work in.” “I don’t want you up in my space. Go do something else,” she says. “So I can’t do pullups on the cable crossover while you’re using the bench?” I reply. “No. I don’t want you up in my space,” she says. “That’s just bad etiquette,” I reply. It then continues like this for a bit. I accuse her of being rude, she accuses me (verbatim) of using my “male privilege.” Eventually she finishes her sets and leaves. In every gym I’ve worked out at it would be considered rude to bogart multiple pieces of equipment while others have to wait. I lived abroad for years before this - is this still the case in US gym culture? AITA for leaning on a nearby wall and waiting, rather than going and stretching or running on the treadmill? submitted by /u/tripping_on_phonics to r/AmItheAsshole [link] [comments]

Adjustable kettlebells worth it?
I am interested in buying kettlebell kings adjustable kettlebells (the one that uses a wrench). I am very interested specifically about how much they rattle. I don't mind that they take awhile to change the weight. I plan to pick a weight and keep it for a majority of the workout (i.e. not interested in ladders or drop sets at the moment). My interest is creating an at home gym in the most cost effective way possible, and to me, it seems hard to beat a pull up bar, gymnastic rings, and a pair of competition kettlebells from 12-32kgs (i.e. the adjustable kettlebells since this would cost a ton and take up way too much room to buy each pair individually). My 2 questions to anyone who has them is: how much do they rattle in ballistic movements (swings, cleans, snatches), and how long have they lasted/held up? submitted by /u/Radiant-Gas4063 to r/kettlebell [link] [comments]
