Pray for my girl
My sweet Betty got into some tums and potentially Advil liquid gels Friday evening. We just got back from a trip and I had a ziplock of them in my carry on that I stupidly left on the couch. We’ve been in touch with our vet and ASPCA poison control since the moment it happen. They didn’t have me bring her to the ER until Saturday morning and she was discharged but couldn’t stop vomiting so we brought her back in the evening. They had to place an NG tube late last night and unfortunately she has developed pneumonia this morning due to vomit getting in her lungs. I am so scared but the vets are being positive. Please pray to whatever you believe in that my girls gets better. I love this dog more than anything and I am hating myself for leaving the bag in such a reachable place. It all happened so quickly. If anyone has a Pom who has had pneumonia, please share any positivity you can as I’m having a hard time not spiraling. I’m freaking out. UPDATE: Betty is home! She unfortunately just drank too much water and immediately puked but called the vet and he said just limit her water more. She’s on meds for two weeks but she’s in good spirits. I’m dog sitting for my parents this week so I’m out of the city with a backyard, fresh air, and her two cousins (that’s what we call my parents cocker spaniels lol). She’s not out of the woods yet, but we’re getting there. Thank you for all the prayers and love. Kirkland Ibuprofen Liquid Gel Capsules 200 (Green ones)
I am in need of the list of non-medicinal ingredients. Would anyone have a picture of the box of this ibuprofen or have one at home they could post a picture of? I have the bottle but it does not list these ingredients and I can't find it online. I had a major allergic reaction to it recently with no reaction to the similar Advil-brand liquid gels and I am trying to figure out I might be allergic to (I have never had any sort of allergic reaction to anything before in my 35 years). Strange specific reaction to Advil liquid gels?
Hi, Ive take ibuprofen somewhat commonly in my life, and had no reactions. One day, at work, I had taken a liquid gel for a headache and started getting a rash along my neck minutes later. No other symptoms. I didn't go to the doctor to get tested then, but I will mention it next time I do. A few weeks later, I've taken a regular Advil with no reaction. But the liquid gels still gave me a rash on the neck. I didn't initially see anything out of the ordinary in the ingredients, and I don't have any other allergies.
