Power stations
been reading a few posts about certain power stations people use. a lot of people are talking about whole home backups and such but i’m really just looking for a decent power station that’ll charge phones and electronics a good amount of times. i see the anker solid c1000 gen2 is $580 CAD rn instead of $1200. i have some of their smaller portable chargers and have no problems and honestly love the products so just curious if anyone had better recommendations or if the anker is good or not, thanks! submitted by /u/WaferOk8799 to r/Portable_PowerStation [link] [comments]

Anker power pack from Costco
Any experience with this? A grand from costco for 2kwh. I think I can plug my Jayco right into it. Certainly much cheaper than changing the house batteries for lithium, and I THINK more storage. https://preview.redd.it/36ifk47ltx0h1.jpg?width=1024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=fcc737f96a45c04347b5abf7afc88ff6cab30900 https://www.costco.com/p/-/anker-solix-c2000x-gen-2-portable-power-station-with-400w-solar-panel submitted by /u/Educational-Rule1635 to r/GoRVing [link] [comments]

Portable Power Station Recommendations.
I’m looking at Jackery, Anker and Bluetti. Doesn’t have to be those brands, but I need at least 2000Wh. My concern though is, how well do these perform in the heat? The area I’m planning on using it can get 110°F+ in the summertime. Are there real fire safety concerns? Efficiency issues? Affordable solar panel options for the Anker SOLIX Portable Power Station?
I have the Solix Power Station and the matching expansion battery. Now I just need some solar panels but I’m really hoping to find something that’s a little more affordable that I can mount to a roof rack on top of my van. (I’d also like a folding/portable panel too if it’s worth it) Just looking for something to start with or that I can add and build onto with time and money. It’s the Anker SOLIX c1000 with an expansion battery. I’m not worried about the solar panels charging it super fast or anything… not yet anyway. Anyone have any experience with these? I really like mine so far. Portable Boot Dryers work great to keep me warm in the winter. They hardly use up any power and keep my toes and butt warm. Highly recommend. submitted by /u/Asron87 to r/vandwellers [link] [comments]

When did backup power become part of your home setup instead of just a portable backup?
I used to think of backup power as a small, essentials-only thing: keep the fridge cold, charge phones, maybe run Wi-Fi for a while. But after moving into a larger house, my needs changed pretty quickly. We now have more appliances to think about, including two central AC units and a sump pump, so the old portable power station setup started feeling more like a short-term patch than a real home solution. For homeowners who made the jump from a portable backup setup to something more integrated or closer to whole-home power, what made it worth it for you? I’ve been looking at more permanent systems, including the anker e10 route, but I’m trying to stay realistic about whether it’s actually the right step for a larger home. submitted by /u/Feeling-Whole4574 to r/prepping [link] [comments]

Maybe an obvious answer around using a portable power station and state/local rules.
I’m looking at the anker solix c2000, charging it with 2 400w panels *not* permanently installed. I don’t feel as if in my neck of the woods in northern PA, using it would be of much issue as long as it’s not a permanent structure. However, the portable power station has the ability to utilize both solar and the grid to charge the battery. Would using that feature be problematic as far as code? Charging my car’s battery using my grid electric wouldn’t need a permit and inspection, but would a anker solix need a permit to use both solar and the grid to charge it? submitted by /u/BusyBanana4205 to r/SolarDIY [link] [comments]

Best portable power station to buy for road trips in 2026?
Planning to get some kind of backup power for trips since I usually bring a lot of stuff like phone, powerbank, maybe even a small fan or lights. Been looking at those portable power stations but not sure if they’re actually worth it or just overkill for road trips. I don’t need anything crazy, just something reliable that can last a bit and not take too much space in the car. For those who bring one, what are you using and how often do you actually use it? Edit: appreciate all the insights and real-world experiences shared, these are the ones that kept coming up: EcoFlow Delta 2 – $428.99 - popular all-around choice with fast charging and solid capacity for travel setups Anker SOLIX C1000 Gen 2 – $428.99 - compact and easy to carry while still strong enough for basic camping or road trip needs Goal Zero Yeti – $499.95 - trusted long-term brand often used for camping, emergencies, and backup power UDPOWER S1200 – $399.99 - lower-cost option that still handles small devices and light camping loads submitted by /u/Helpful_Nest0 to r/roadtrip [link] [comments]

So which is the "best" of the worst in portable power stations?
In researching for the last year in regards to portable power stations, for a very basic short term backup option, it really looks like all of them are awful in customer service. All are offshore made, like my dual fuel inverter generators, and mostly have "email and wait" technical support althought a few have a US based phone number. It reads like the top 4 (Anker, Jackery, EcoFLow, & Bluetti) are really each no better than the other and a matter of picking your battle. As a note, I already have backup power for our house utilizing a pair of dual fuel inverter generators where I can run a single for probably 70% of outages, or, I can run them in parallel if AC or water heater or clothes dryer is needed. They hook to the house via a 50 amp power inlet/interlock kit/breaker and quick connects to a 250 gallon propane tank. I could go days on a single if needed. All I will add on is a 10 circuit MTS beside our breaker panel in the master closet where I can plug in a PPS when the power goes off for some "essentials" like lights, fridges, garage doors, etc. Most of ours lasted less than an hour over the last 7 years but we had a few where they were 4 hours but 12 hours being the longest. Thankfully , of course. In reading a lot of things in here, in the various Facebook groups, various online areas, etc., I almost feel like my best bet is to find something that will work from Sam's Club, where my generators came from, as they give a Lifetime Satisfaction Guarantee, like Costco, if it fails. Because overall, it sounds like many will fail. 😁😎 But I still like the cost factor of brands like Pecron since they are reasonable to get the F3000LFP and an extra battery for that short time. Any input is welcomed. submitted by /u/Big-Echo8242 to r/prepping [link] [comments]

Using DJI battery station as backup rack power
Hi all! Just looking for some advise. I’m building out my home network in a 25u rack. I use a lot of Unifi gear and have a CyberPower 1500VA UPS. I want more time if my power goes out for an hour or two. Is anyone using a power station for this? I’ve read the cutover is not fast enough but can I daisy chain my CyberPower into the battery station? Wall outlet > battery station > UPS > PDU > equipment. I have an Anker C1000 but I use it for camping som I’m thinking about the DJI one that is a good deal. I’d rather buy one of these than a new UPS that only lasts 20-30 mins. Update: I’m going to daisy chain them so I can get the best of both worlds. Thanks all! submitted by /u/macbook89 to r/HomeNetworking [link] [comments]

Can I plug roof panels directly into a portable power station during an outage?
Getting ready for the spring thunderstorm season here in the midwest. We have a grid tied solar setup on our roof but no local battery storage like a powerwall because the quotes were insane. When the grid drops the panels shut off for safety. I want to buy a heavy duty portable power station like an ecoflow or an anker solix f3800 to run my well pump and freezer. Is there a safe way to wire my existing roof panels into a portable unit to charge it during a multi day blackout? submitted by /u/StreetParsley2504 to r/solar [link] [comments]

Purchased Champion Generator and Anker Power Station - Will they work together?
I "panic" purchased a (120v) Champion generator to have prior to the storm. The main feature was that I actually got it delivered prior to the storm. The worst of it barely missed us, so it is still in the box. I like that it has gas or propane. https://www.homedepot.com/p/Champion-Power-Equipment-5300-4250-Watt-Gasoline-and-Propane-Powered-Dual-Fuel-Portable-Generator-with-CO-Shield-201279/323716928 As I started thinking, I looked at power packs and thought a battery system to use first might be even handier, but I could still have the generator if things lingered. So I have ordered this and a solar panel: https://www.ankersolix.com/products/f3800-plus?variant=50451574358346 After researching, it looks like I may have issues charging the Anker with the generator because it is 120v and/or the Sine wave may not be "clean" enough. Is it possible to use it that way or do I need to replace either/or both and get a generator/inverter maybe? submitted by /u/user699 to r/preppers [link] [comments]

Power stations
Hi all, after some advice from gen pop rather than YouTube as getting nowhere fast. Looking at portable power stations and after a point in the right direction from people who've used them and not sponsored reviewers. The Anker Solix C1000 has caught my eye and they're on sale currently, but I dnno they're any better/worse than the competiton. Other options I'm considering are Ecoflow delta 2/river 2 max Bluetti Elite 100 V2 Jackery Explorer 1000 V2 More than happy to listen to other suggestions and whatnot and always grateful for any advice. Just saves me buying a sub par system and regretting it. Thanks all submitted by /u/Suspect-Physical to r/VanLifeUK [link] [comments]

How “Portable” Is Your Portable Power Station Really?
A lot of the posts here are about full roof arrays, sheds, cabins and whole‑home systems, but I’m curious about the opposite end of the spectrum: the little “grab and go” portable power stations. Lately it feels like half of YouTube is telling me a 1–2 kWh box will follow me from tailgates to hurricanes to off‑grid cabins… but I’m starting to suspect most of them end up living full‑time next to the router and the chest freezer. For those of you who actually own a portable power station (Bluetti / EcoFlow / Anker / Jackery / DIY equivalent ect): do you actually use it as a portable unit in real life? Do you take it with you camping or use it for projects out of outlet reach? Or has it basically become a tiny home UPS? submitted by /u/No_Lengthiness114 to r/SolarDIY [link] [comments]

Best power station for $700 Cad
I’m in Canada and looking for a solid portable power station during Black Friday sales. I’ve been eyeing the anker solixc1000 , bluer elite 100v2and people mentioned pecron1000lfp but can’t find any Canadian website that sells it and I’m not waiting a month for alibaba which is the only other site selling it. but I’m open to better alternatives if there’s something with more value or features. Use case: • Powering a diesel heater and fan (for off-grid warmth) • Charging phone + laptop • Want to add solar charging later • Need to charge from my Orion 30/12/12 DC-DC charger (from vehicle alternator) Must-haves: • At least 1000Wh capacity • LiFePO4 preferred for longevity • Solar input (MPPT preferred) • DC input compatibility (ideally 12V or adjustable) Budget $650 Canadian Dollars before tax submitted by /u/RedzCA to r/vandwellers [link] [comments]

portable power station black friday / cyber monday deal?
i'm tracking all the usual suspects like ecoflow, bluetti, anker, and jackery, but let's drop the actual good deals here. not the fake 'list price' markdowns, just the real price drops and bundles worth buying. i'm looking for a solid 1-2kwh unit for home backup (fridge/essentials) but anything good goes. bigger stuff like the delta pro ultra or smaller portable banks are welcome too. what's the best price to wh ratio you've actually seen so far? anyone seeing anything insane on amazon or directly from the manufacturer? submitted by /u/Otherwise-Bad-3686 to r/Ecoflow_community [link] [comments]

Bought a “Used -Like New” Anker Portable Power Station for Hurricane Milton. The One They Sent Had Been Stripped For Parts.
I’m actually livid. Now if we lose power in the storm, we’re shit out of luck. The listing said “Like New”. I can’t open it up since I don’t have the tools. But it is almost certainly hollowed out. It weighs like 4-5lbs and the manual and the listing says it should weigh nearly 10lbs. Likely that all of the battery cells have been removed and the USB header was detached as shown in the picture. When you shake it you can hear what seems to be the USB header dangling around and all the screws the previous owner generously decided to keep inside the unit. Just outright disappointing and despicable on Amazon’s part here. UPDATE: Just contacted scamazon support and they gave me a $30 promotional credit for the inconvenience. But I’m still infuriated on the principle of the matter. Literally marking something as “Used - Like New” when it weights HALF of what it should and clearly has loose parts inside of it should NEVER happen. I’m on my last straw with this dogshit company. submitted by /u/MechaJabroni to r/amazonprime [link] [comments]

Anker SOLIX C1000 Portable Power Station Review: My Brutally Honest Take on This Beast
https://preview.redd.it/7ytyjvv4pagd1.jpg?width=1792&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=49e01e5e773a86e0abd87ad7c84b17131668e151 I didn't buy the Anker Solix C1000 because I'm some off-grid enthusiast or doomsday prepper. No, I got this behemoth because Mother Nature decided to play Russian roulette with my power grid, leaving me in the dark for six hours like some medieval peasant. My trusty little 256Wh Anker couldn't even keep the fridge running, and suddenly, I found myself eyeing this 1000Wh monster. Was it overkill? Probably. Did I need it? Absolutely not. Did I want it? You bet your ass I did. Here's what happened. Update: BEST PRICE on the Anker SOLIX C1000 Portable Power Station here: https://amzn.to/4cYJDwE First Impressions When the Anker Solix C1000 arrived, I almost expected a team of bodybuilders to show up with it. Surprisingly, it was just one very annoyed UPS guy who looked like he'd rather be anywhere else. Can't blame him - this thing isn't exactly a featherweight. The unit itself is a sleek, boxy affair that screams "I'm ready for anything" while simultaneously whispering "please don't drop me." My first thought? This better be worth the small fortune I just dropped. Spoiler alert: It kind of is, but we'll get to that. The initial setup was smoother than expected. No batteries not included nonsense here. Just plug it in, and watch the light show begin. The display lit up like Vegas, showing me more numbers than my high school math class. Battery percentage, input wattage, output wattage - it's all there, begging you to feel like some sort of off-grid genius. Anker brags about their "UltraFast" charging, and I've gotta hand it to them - it's not just marketing fluff. This thing gulps down electricity faster than I chug coffee on a Monday morning. Although, it does sound like a jet engine taking off. If you're planning on a quiet night in while it charges, think again. It's more white noise machine than library whisper. Anyway, as I plugged in my various gadgets - because of course I had to test every single port - I couldn't help but feel a little giddy. My phone, laptop, even my electric toothbrush all started charging simultaneously. It was like an orchestra of electronics, and I was the maestro. But the real test came when I plugged in my UPS system. This is where lesser power stations would've waved the white flag. Not the Solix C1000. It took on my entire home office setup without breaking a sweat. Computers, monitors, routers - all humming along like the power grid was their best friend. Not bad. At this point, I was starting to feel pretty smug. Power outage? Bring it on. I was ready to be the neighborhood hero, the guy with the lights on when everyone else is fumbling for candles. But then reality hit: I hadn't actually used it in a real emergency yet. Was I just a doomsday LARPer with an expensive toy? Who knows. But so far, I've been impressed. Key Features Battery Capacity: 1056Wh of LiFePO4. What does that mean in English? It means this thing could probably power a small village in a pinch. Or, more realistically, keep your fridge running for about 10-12 hours. During my tests, it ran my entire home office setup (two computers, three monitors, router, and a bunch of peripherals) for a solid 8 hours before even breaking a sweat. Output Power: 1800W continuous, 2400W peak. In layman's terms, it can handle pretty much anything you throw at it short of a Tesla charging station. I plugged in a space heater (because why not?), and the Solix didn't even flinch. It's like asking a bodybuilder to lift your groceries - almost insulting. Charging Speed: This is where things get interesting. Anker claims about 80% charge in 43 minutes. In my tests, it hit 80% in about 47 minutes. Close enough that I'm not calling the complaint department. But here's the catch - it sounds like a small aircraft taking off. If you're charging this in a quiet room, prepare for some serious white noise. Ports Galore: 11 output ports in total. USB-A, USB-C, AC outlets, car socket - if you can't find a way to charge your device with this, you might be living in 1850. I particularly love the 100W USB-C port, which charged my MacBook Pro faster than its own charger. Show-off. Solar Charging Capability: I didn't shell out for the solar panels (my wallet was already crying), but the Solix C1000 can apparently gulp down 600W of solar power. In theory, you could fully charge this bad boy in about 1.8 hours of good sunlight. Perfect for when society collapses and we're all fighting over the last can of beans. Smart Features: The Anker app is surprisingly not terrible. You can monitor power usage, adjust charging speeds, and even set up alerts. It's like having a power plant engineer in your pocket, minus the hard hat and union benefits. Pros Power: This thing could probably jump-start a dead star. With 1056Wh capacity, it's like having a small power plant in your living room, minus the nuclear waste and disapproving looks from environmentalists. Charging Speed: Remember dial-up internet? This is the opposite of that. The Solix C1000 charges faster than a caffeine addict chugging espresso. 0 to 80% in under an hour? I've had slower fast food orders. More Ports Than an International Airport: With 11 output options, this thing is more accommodating than a Swiss hotel. USB-A, USB-C, AC outlets - if you can't charge it here, your device probably runs on magic. Built Tougher Than a Nokia 3310: This isn't some delicate flower. The Solix C1000 feels like it could survive a fall down the stairs and still power your house. Not that I tested this. Officially. Smart Features Don't Make You Feel Dumb: The Anker app is surprisingly intuitive. You can monitor power usage, adjust settings, and even set alerts. It's almost fun enough to make you wish for a power outage. Almost. Cons Weight Issues: This thing is heavier than my relationship baggage. At 26.7 lbs, it's portable in the same way a small child is portable - technically possible, but you'll regret it quickly. Price Tag Shock: Prepare for your wallet to go on a diet. It's not cheap, and that's putting it mildly. You could buy a decent used car for this price, though the car probably won't power your house in an outage. Noisy When Charging: When this thing is gulping down electricity, it sounds like a mini jet engine. If you're planning on a quiet evening while it charges, think again. Size: It's not exactly discreet. Trying to hide this in your living room is like trying to hide an elephant under a tea cozy. Hope you like the industrial look. Final Thoughts After weeks of using the Anker SOLIX C1000, I've come to a conclusion. This thing is the Arnold Schwarzenegger of power stations - brawny, a bit loud, but damn reliable when the shit hits the fan. It's perfect for the semi-paranoid homeowner who wants to keep their fridge running during the apocalypse, or for the outdoor enthusiast who can't bear to part with their creature comforts even in the middle of nowhere. But let's be real - it's overkill for some. If your idea of "roughing it" is a hotel without room service, you might want to reconsider. This thing is for those who are serious about backup power or off-grid living. It's for the person who watches disaster movies and thinks, I could totally handle that. The Solix C1000 isn't any everyday purchase. It's a commitment. A commitment to being that smug neighbor with lights on during a blackout, and to potentially becoming the savior of your street's frozen goods during an extended outage. Is it perfect? Nah. It's heavy enough to double as gym equipment, and the price might make your credit card cry. But when you're comfortably watching Netflix while the rest of the neighborhood is practicing their shadow puppet skills, you'll feel like a goddamn genius.
