I'm a solo mom founder who built a baby registry app because my husband felt completely left out of the process — would love honest feedback from real parents
I'm Chelsea, a mom from Michigan and solo founder of OneNest — a free baby registry and parenting app I built from scratch because I couldn't find anything on the market that truly included both parents. When I was building my own registry, my husband felt like an outsider. Every app was designed for one person. He had no way to add items, weigh in on decisions, or feel like he was part of the process. That frustrated me enough to build something better. OneNest has a Partner Co-Registry feature that gives both parents their own login to the same shared registry. Your partner can add items, approve things they love, veto things they don't, and leave comments — just like you. Think of it like a Netflix account for your registry. Beyond that it has: 🪺 AI powered registry builder 📱 Barcode scanner to add products instantly 📸 Baby memories timeline ✅ Preparation checklists 💌 AI generated thank you notes 🛍️ 145,000+ products to discover It's completely free to download on iOS and Android. I'm not here to spam — I genuinely want feedback from real parents who would use something like this. What would make it better? What am I missing? We made you a baby registry for twins
Yes you kind of do need 2 of everything. Both babies need a dedicated crib and we like to suggest that if space and finances allow, get 2 pack and play's as well. This way if one infant is sick, they can easily be moved to a separate area. What are your must-have twin items? submitted by /u/LetMommySleep to r/LetMommySleep [link] [comments]

Disappointing Amazon Baby Registry Welcome Kit - March 2026
I qualified for the free Amazon Baby Registry Welcome Kit but accidentally messed up during checkout and paid $35 for it. Wanted to share everything I received. This is such an underwhelming and sad package. Definitely not worth $35 and I definitely will be returning. I’m not really one to complain about something I got for free, if I had gotten it for free, but it’s insane that there’s even an option to purchase this for $35! •1 Pampers Amore Diaper size 1 •Amazon Essentials white onesie 3-6 months •Dr Philips anti colic bottle •Amazing Baby newborn muslin swaddle •Wonderbelly antacid chewable tablets •2 samples Palmers cocoa butter formula skin therapy oil and massage lotion for stretch marks •11 Hello Fresh free meals coupon (applied as a discount over 5 boxes) •Baby Brezza ad •Amazon baby registry pamphlet submitted by /u/LittlePinkJellyfish to r/BabyBumps [link] [comments]

Need to practice my surprise face for baby shower.. Amazon registry tells all 😂
So I did not realize Amazon just tells me everything bought on my registry. I see what’s purchased and then I accidentally clicked on the number of things purchased and saw who has bought everything. Well I’m not good with surprises nor holding back the temptation of looking so if there is anything in there bought, I have damn sure looked and saw who has bought it. Now I feel like I need to practice surprise faces and expressions for my baby shower 😂 I see now there is an option to turn these notifications off but too late! So if you want everything to be a surprise, turn off that setting and don’t click buttons inside the registry lol My last pregnancy was 15 years ago so I walked around stores with the scanner to create the registry and then everything was a surprise. Not sad about it because it’s actually kind of nice so I can see what’s been bought to take off my mental checklist, just forgot technology is way better now! submitted by /u/jagqueentiff to r/BabyBumps [link] [comments]

Amazon Baby Registry Welcome Box March 2026
Just got my Amazon box. It’s not bad for free, but definitely a little light. Two onesies, a swaddle, and a Philips Avent bottle, which is definitely one of the ones we were thinking of trying. Some creams for mom and a single diaper. The rest was advertising. How is everyone else doing? Still waiting for the Target one to be back in stock and I was considering Macy’s if I can find anything worth buying. Anyone else have ones that are worth doing? I’ve heard mixed reviews on Babylist, plus it sounds like a pain. submitted by /u/babybump222 to r/BabyBumps [link] [comments]

Baby Registry
Background info: this is my third pregnancy that I’ve made it to announcing. I have a living child who is 3 and a daughter that was born sleeping when I was 33 weeks pregnant. I had a miscarriage at 10 weeks recently and am now 14 weeks pregnant with a supposedly healthy baby. I never had a baby shower for my LC because my husband was in the hospital for a week during that time. We also didn’t really make a registry because we lived in a small apartment and got the bare minimum mostly secondhand (even cloth diapers to save money). I never had a baby shower with my stillborn as my shower was scheduled for 34 weeks and we knew we were losing her at 32 weeks and cancelled before we had her at 33 weeks. I’m making a baby registry and my husband and I are in very different places in life now. We have good jobs, a house, and our LC. That being said, we really didn’t buy much for our LC as a baby. Most of the baby checklist items we didn’t get and really only had a pack n play, cloth diapers, swaddles, my breast pump with some bottles. And the clothes are almost exclusively boys clothes and we are expecting a girl this time (but I don’t register for clothes because I know people love to buy baby clothes). TLDR: Need Advice: After losing my last babies, I want more than ever to celebrate this baby. This is the first time we are planning on making a nursery and actually having all the recommended baby items. My registry is 120 items ranging from $5-$1000, and it just feels like a lot because we already have a living child (even though we never actually had a baby shower before). We are going through Poppylist which doesn’t offer a completion discount. Should I make a separate private baby registry for things that are too crazy and just not expect people to contribute to the high end items or should I just leave it all on there? Should I just cut down the list to the necessities again? submitted by /u/Bulky-Card-4728 to r/pregnant [link] [comments]

Editable checklist for baby items - (it's free!)
I don't know if there are other people out there like me, who find it hard to focus on a baby registry app and also want a spreadsheet to keep track, but I'm anal so I made one. I'm registering with BabyList, but I'm using the spreadsheet to keep me sane and get a clear overview of what I need, have bought etc.etc. I'm not a professional so it's not perfect, and it's pre-filled with some items I've already chosen but you can just delete these and put in what you want, obviously. I'm from the UK so some words or spellings may be different than the US ones (again, change whatever you want) but overall I'm finding it super useful and I thought maybe some other people in this sub might find it useful too. Here's a link to it - it will prompt you to make a copy to save it so that it doesn't fill up my Google Drive! If you have any feedback or additional ideas that I might find useful to add in there for myself, please share! https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/16knsl8t9dX3Ze0cnjdo_PNny_afTUGAiiRaBIMdGr2w/copy submitted by /u/Regular-Message9591 to r/Buyingforbaby [link] [comments]

Build the Perfect Baby Gear Checklist for Your Registry
A thoughtfully curated registry not only helps you keep track of what you need but also ensures that your family and friends can gift you the items that will ease your transition into parenthood. Let's dive into how you can create an effective baby gear checklist for your registry! Register Now Create a registry with Newborn Nursery Furniture that helps you sort through the multitude of products available today. Having a checklist can help you prioritize essential baby gear over unnecessary gadgets. Furthermore, it can prevent you from receiving duplicate gifts, making it a thoughtful tool for both you and your loved ones. Essential Categories for Your Baby Registry Creating your baby gear checklist is all about organization. To help streamline the process, we recommend breaking it down into several essential categories: 1. Nursery Needs Your baby's room should be crafted into a cozy and practical space. This is where the nursery furniture comes into play. Consider items like: https://preview.redd.it/vmh9aqdoyieg1.jpg?width=1400&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=0ed2c6a4b5bf6cb132702d40478f99ea3189bceb Crib: A safe and comfortable place for your baby to sleep Changing Table: For diaper changes, make sure it fits well with your nursery layout Glider / Recliner: Great for late-night feeding sessions Storage Solutions: Baskets and dressers will help keep your nursery organized 2. Feeding Essentials Feeding your baby requires some essential gear that helps make the process easier. Think about including: Bottles: Consider a variety for every stage of development Breast Pump: If you choose to breastfeed, this is invaluable Feeding Sets: To catch those inevitable spills High Chair: As your baby grows, a sturdy high chair will become necessary 3. Transportation Items Getting out of the house can feel daunting, but having the right transportation gear can help feel more at ease: Car Seat: Ensure it’s safe and meets regulations for travel Stroller: Look for a sturdy and versatile model Baby Carrier: A hands-free option for family outings Diaper Bag: Get a stylish diaper bag that can fit all the on-the-go essentials 4. Clothing and Diapering https://preview.redd.it/chkczipqyieg1.jpg?width=1400&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=f3976caad859b0cdc2ebd94234e70c2f59ca7f65 Understanding the types of clothing your baby will need is crucial. List essentials such as: Onesies: These are a staple in your baby's wardrobe Swaddles: For warmth and security in the crib Diapers: Both disposable and cloth options should be considered Wipes: Gentle and effective for clean-ups 5. Health and Safety Your baby’s well-being is paramount, and having the right health and safety gear is key. Include items like: First Aid Kit: Make sure it is stocked with essential baby items Thermometer: A digital one is quick and reliable Baby Monitor: Helps keep an eye on your little one Personalizing Your Checklist While it’s easy to rely on general lists, personalizing your baby gear checklist will make it even more effective. Think about your lifestyle, preferences, and even upcoming activities you may participate in, such as: Active Lifestyle: If you plan on taking your baby out hiking, you might want to consider outdoor gear Co-Sleeping: Decide if you’ll need a bassinet or co-sleeper for your first few months Home Office: Situate your baby gear for easy access during work hours Getting Feedback from Experienced Parents As you compile your baby gear checklist, don't hesitate to reach out to family members, friends or online forums like Reddit, who have already navigated parenthood. They can provide insights and advice based on their experiences. Learning what essential baby gear brought them success or what they wish they had can help you make better selections. Prioritize Comfort and Functionality When selecting items for your registry, make sure to focus on comfort and functionality over aesthetics alone. While it may be tempting to choose the cutest options, the most essential baby gear is often the most practical. Assess whether each item is easy to use, maintain, and store when not in use. Think Ahead Babies grow at an astonishing rate. Therefore, while your checklist should include newborn essentials, think about what gear you will need in the coming months: Growth: Items like convertible car seats that adapt as your child grows Durability: Look for multi-functional items that offer extended use Trends: Consider what is popular and practical, without getting swept up in gimmicky trends Download Our Baby Checklist Visuals can aid your memory and organization. Download our baby checklist for easy access and modification. Sharing Your Registry Once you’ve done your registry, it’s time to share it with friends and family. Our registries allow you to send a link or have it available on their website. This makes it easy for loved ones to gift appropriate items. Keep in mind the importance of clarity in your list; including details about colors, sizes, or features can help avoid mismatched gifts. Final Words Every item in your baby gear checklist holds a story. As your baby grows, find ways to commemorate those moments. Consider taking photos of your baby using their gear, or even creating a scrapbook that reflects the journey. This turns your baby gear checklist into a cherished memory rather than a mere list! Baby Registry for FTM - Where to start?
I’m 19 weeks and getting to that point where I’m feeling like it might be time to start adding things to a registry. As a FTM, I’m feeling bombarded with all of the choices and brands and products and not really sure where to start. Especially because I don’t want to put things on there that are crazy expensive, but I don’t want to put anything on there that’s of crappy quality either. Is there a good online checklist somewhere that can serve as a good starting point? Also please feel free to comment any “Must-haves” as well, including product name/info as well. Baby Registry help needed for this anxious mama
Hi my fellow mamas and mama's to be-I’m currently 32 weeks pregnant and feeling very behind. This is my first baby and between anxiety and gestational diabetes, I’ve been struggling emotionally and physically. I kept putting off making a registry because I just couldn’t get myself to focus on it but now I really need to get it done, and I’m overwhelmed with where to start. I’ve heard Babylist is great because you can add items from any store, is that the best place to start? Are there other platforms you’d recommend that are easier to use or offer better perks? Also is it too late to register for baby boxes? Also, if anyone is open to sharing: What were your essentials as a first-time mom? What did you actually use the most (vs. what ended up being unnecessary)? Any must-haves for postpartum recovery or managing newborn life? If you have a registry link you can share, checklist or things you loved or items you absolutely swear by, I’d love to hear. I really want to create something useful without going overboard. Thanks in advance for any advice- truly appreciate this community. submitted by /u/starlight8827 to r/pregnant [link] [comments]

First time mom baby registry
I am due in July 2025 and at a total loss as to what to add to my registry. I'm using Babylist and I love the suggested items but I'm struggling with quantity, what footwear/socks babies actually need, etc. I understand there's a lot on that checklist that won't be needed until baby can walk, eat solids, sleep in her crib, etc. Does anyone think they had the perfect registry or have a better resource of what to add to a registry excluding some non-essentials? Would also LOVE to hear what your favorite items are that you got. Any and all advice welcome! 🩷🎀 submitted by /u/Particular_Log_911 to r/pregnant [link] [comments]

Registry / checklist for baby #2
Hi everyone, I was putting together a registry / checklist for things to buy with #2 and would love some insight! (also we are not doing a baby shower or anything like that, I just compiled a little list since christmas is coming up and my family has been on my case about what we need 😭) Of course since this is the second baby we don't need a LOT of things we did for the first, but there are some things I think I'd like to have, and would love to hear any recommendations for items that you'd recommend to add! What we have so far on the list : • Hatch sound machine (didn't get for the first, but have been seeing lots of videos about it and thought it might be a good idea) • Travel bassinet • 2x swaddle blankets (mostly for the hospital and summer, we have swaddle sacks already) • Diaper bag (definitely need a bigger one for two babies) • New stroller (PLEASE RECOMMEND WHAT YOU USE! I was thinking about the Safety 1st wagon for 2, but I have heard double strollers are better so I definitely need help picking!) • New carseat • 3x clothes (bodysuit with mittens pack, footed pjs pack, sleeper gowns pack) • Nose frida (we lost our first one and we definitely need another one) Diapers and wipes we are pretty particular about and my family doesn't get it so we will be buying all of that stuff by ourselves Please let me know any recommendations or alternatives to the things listed if you have options you think are better! 🤍 submitted by /u/benjbuttons to r/2under2 [link] [comments]

How many items are on your Baby Shower Registry?
Hi! I’ve been using my Babylist registry as a checklist to remind us what we need for the baby and it will also be used for others to purchase some of the items. I currently have 162 items, is that overkill or normal? I don’t expect for everyone to purchase all of the items but wondering if 162 items is too much stuff for a first time mom & dad. I’m having a hard time figuring out what’s essential and what is not lol everything seem so important! submitted by /u/ToriD96 to r/BabyBumps [link] [comments]

Almost Complete list of Baby registry boxes March/April 2024
If you're interested in baby registry boxes but don't know which one to try or how to even sign up for them I have some info for you here! I got boxes/bags from Target, Walmart, Amazon, Hey Milestone, Babylist, and Similac and I'm still waiting for a box from Enfamil. I'm not an influencer or someone paid by these companies I just really like surprise boxes of stuff. I have pictures but I don't know how to add them. Anyway onto the lists. Target: How to get: This appears to have changed recently. According to target.com you join the Target Circle rewards, create a baby registry, add 10 items, and spend $10 from registry (either yourself of someone else). You have to pick up the bag in store with a barcode they give to you and it can be somewhat difficult to get since supplies are limited. When I did this in March all I had to do was create a registry and then go to the store to pick up the bag. Items: 1 Philips Avent Natural Bottle 1 Dr Browns Anti-Colic Bottle 3 pack sample of Huggies Special Delivery Diapers 2 pack sample of Millie Moon Diapers 16 count sample of Huggies Natural Care wipes 10 count sample of Honest plant based wipes 10 count sample of Water Wipes 2 count sample of Lansinho breastmilk storage bags 2 count sample of Lansinho disposable nursing pads 1 count sample if Boogie Wipes 1 sample of Dreft scent booster for laundry 1 sample of Palmers stretch mark lotion 1 sample of Dapple bottle and dish soap 1 sample of Pedialyte 1 sample of Auqaphor baby ointment 1 sample bottle of Aveno baby wash and shampoo 1 sample tube of Triple Paste diaper rash cream All coupons are through Target Circle rewards Walmart: How to Get: Sign up for a registry at Walmart. Click this link https://walmart.cesampling.com/babybox/soldout and fill out the form and it would be shipped to you for free. Unfortunately these boxes have been sold out since last year but maybe they will restock. I only got one because my OB’s office gave it to me at my first appointment. You’re not missing much by not getting one. Items: 1 Dr Browns Anti-Colic Bottle 3 pack sample of Huggies Special Delivery Diapers 16 count sample pack of Huggies Natural Care Wipes 1 sample of Arm & Hammer baby laundry detergent 1 sample bottle of Johnson’s head to toe wash and shampoo 1 sample bottle of Aveno baby wash and shampoo 1 pack of milestone month cards Insert cards (not coupons) for Gerber, WaterWipes, Liquid IV, Aquaphor, and Arm & Hammer Amazon: How to Get: Have an Amazon prime account. Create a baby registry. Add 10 items to your baby registry. Purchase $10 worth of items from registry (either yourself or someone else). Wait for the items to ship and then add the baby welcome box to your shopping cart. There should be a $35 coupon applied when you go to checkout. 1 Newborn Swaddle size 36in x 36in 1 Amazon Essentials 3-6 month onesie 1 Mam Anti-Colic Bottle and Pacifier set 1 Bessie's Best lactation cookie 2 count sample of Lansinho breastmilk storage bags 2 count sample of Lansinho disposable nursing pads 1 sample of Aquaphor baby ointment 1 sample of Palmers skin therapy oil 1 sample of Palmers stretch mark lotion 50% off coupon for Shutterfly 10% off coupon for Amazon Essentials (items must be from a list compiled by Amazon) $20 off coupon for Tylenol Smart check digital ear scope $200 off Factor meal delivery service Inserts (not coupons) for Palmers, Aquaphor, Baby Breeza, Mam bottles/pacifers A card booklet with ideas for the registry Hey Milestone: How to Get: Hey Milestone is not a registry. They make three different baby boxes you can choose from and you just pay shipping. If you’re considering multiple boxes it’s best to get them all at once because the shipping will be cheaper. Shipping for one was $12.99. I only got one, the pregnancy box, so I can't tell you what you may expect from the other two. Check them out here: https://www.heymilestone.com/ Items: 1 full size Boudreaux’s Butt Paste butt barrier 1 Herobility 5 oz bottle 1 sample pack of Bamba peanut butter puffs 1 Kudos diaper with 10% off coupon 1 Dr Browns pacifier 1 Nanobebe hospital go-bag kit (includes pacifier, 2 breastmilk bags, 2 nursing pads, 20% off coupon) 2 count sample of Lansinho breastmilk storage bags 2 count sample of Lansinho disposable nursing pads 1 Preggie Pop 1 Bessie’s Best lactation cookie 10 count sample pack of Zahler prenatal vitamins 1 sample of Bella B nipple butter 1 sample of Bella B cradle cap be gone shampoo 1 sample tube of Eucerin baby sunscreen 1 count sample of Jack n Jill baby gum and tooth wipes 1 nail file with info for Mother’s Milk Bank 10% off coupon for Boudreaux’s Butt Paste butt barrier from Amazon $130 off good chop meat delivery 16 free meals from Hello Fresh $1 off Bamba snacks 1 insert for Forsite 350 genetic testing Babylist: How to Get: This one is by far the most involved process. Create a registry on Babylist. Enter in your baby’s due date, you address, and first and last name. Add three items from the Babylist shop. Add three items from other stores (you can do this by putting a plug-in from the website on Chrome or Firefox. More detailed instructions on the website). They tend to ship close to your due date so I may get it soon. Overall thoughts: I enjoyed the fun of going through the boxes to see what I got. The Walmart one is no great loss to anyone not able to get one. I was disappointed with the Amazon one because I expected it to be a bit better based on what others had gotten. Plus I didn’t get the Dude Wipes people were getting and I was looking forward to them lol. The Babylist box was the best of the bunch, which is good considering the hoops you have to jump through to get it. Hey Milestone was great for the butt paste and bottle alone. I was also really pleased with the Target bag. These are just the things I got and each box/bag may be different. submitted by /u/disusedyeti78 to r/pregnant [link] [comments]

Baby registry vs. sustainability
TL;DR: How do you balance making a registry and letting people buy you nice things, with trying to be environmentally/economically sustainable in preparing for baby? Hi y’all - I’m expecting my first baby in February and just started making a registry. Until this week, I only had a diaper fund on it and was otherwise trolling Craigslist and FB Marketplace to price things out, keeping my ears open for hand me downs, and avoiding my registry page like the plague. But now baby showers are being planned, so my SIL sat down with me on vacation this week and helped me make a list of everything that’s actually necessary/useful (the online checklists are just insane). Now that I’m actually trying to choose & add the specific items, the sheer consumerism is just blowing my mind! Everything high quality costs SO much; even though I know people like to buy nice gifts and could go in on them together, it just feels so crazy to ask for all these expensive ass items. Like why the f*ck is the best reviewed baby carrier $200?! And then there’s the level of waste - like a gazillion plastic Diaper Genies already exist in the world, do I really need a brand new one?? But then…buying one on CL means spending $20 of my money instead of accepting a $40 gift. So I’m curious if others have thought about this dilemma. SIL says I should just let people buy me the good stuff. Obviously, getting the highest quality items while saving my own money for my actual baby is the big pro to that argument. It just seems so wasteful though. Editing to add: I put “secondhand gifts welcome” in the “about” page of the registry but I don’t think many people will see it. My friend is planning the local baby shower for our friends, and I’m going to ask her to put that on the invite too. But I suggested it to my MIL (who will be planning an out of town shower that will be VERY traditional, all women, mostly older relatives) and she said maybe but looked so horrified lol. submitted by /u/m4ng0ju1ce to r/moderatelygranolamoms [link] [comments]

Do people really just ignore your registry for baby showers?
If that's the case I don't think I want one lol. Just seems like a hassle if I'm going to get mostly clothes and plushies 😅 Every woman with kids I've talked to IRL so far has been like "oh yeah people just get you clothes" lol edit: to be clear I'm making a registry for sure (mostly just to have a checklist for myself) but am on the fence about an actual shower. Would it be weird to throw a party and specifically ask for no gifts? Lol. Or like it might be nice to invite our closest family and friends (~10 people) and just have a nice dinner with no gifts or something submitted by /u/purplepaintedpumpkin to r/BabyBumps [link] [comments]

Caila’s Baby Registry
Caila shared her baby registry must haves. What do you think of her picks? I’m impressed she’s so on top of things! (Let’s try not to make this a pile on…Though I did laugh when she said “Nuna or Uppa Baby? The biggest question for new moms!” That definitely was not my biggest question as a new mom lol) https://withlovecaila.com/blog/my-baby-registry-must-haves-top-22-items-on-my-baby-registry-checklist submitted by /u/snmbb to r/thebachelor [link] [comments]
