Messenger Bricks my Bluetooth Headset
I've had two of the Blue Parrot B450XT headsets and never had any issues with them until I downloaded messenger the other day so I could call a family member while I work. I can answer an audio call just fine, but when I end the call, the headset shuts off and won't power back on. Usually when the headset is turned off it plays a little jingle and says "power off", but when this happens it just shuts off with no warning. It will not power back on again unless I plug it in to the charger for a few seconds. The same thing happens when I decline or ignore an incoming call. This has never happened before with any other app or device, and I tried granting "music and audio" permissions and "nearby devices" to no avail. Just another reason I avoid facebook products on my phone. submitted by /u/377stratocruiser to r/facebookmessenger [link] [comments]

Bluetooth headset recomendations
I drive a semi truck and talk on the phone quite a bit. Had a blue parrot 550 that was a pretty good headset that finally shit out after 6 years. Only thing I didn’t like about it was wish it was slight bit louder but other than that it was great. Don’t really want to spend over $200 for that again when buddies are using $100 gaming headsets with good results. Also considering a platronics single earpiece headset. Any recommendations are helpful. submitted by /u/big_foot_big_itch to r/GoodValue [link] [comments]

Bluetooth headset with best microphone for business calls?
Hi, I take a lot of business video calls from my office. I also have a toddler and lawn mowers in the background that I would like for my audience to not hear. I also don't want to wear a massive bulky headset on camera that makes me look like an air traffic controller. I have looked at a few options that might accomplish what I'm looking for but I would like your opinions. I have looked a the Sony WF1000XM5, the Bose Quiet Comfort, the BlueParrot M300, the Poly CS540. But what do you think is the most effective headset at blocking out background noise so that my audience can't hear any of it? submitted by /u/Tesla8585 to r/Headsets [link] [comments]

Bluetooth headset with noise cancelling mic?
Looking for a Bluetooth headset that has a noise cancelling mic. I currently have a Blue Parrot B450xt and it's terrible for this purpose. Coworkers can hear anyone speaking within 40 feet of me at home. Sometimes my wife will be in the kitchen while I'm on a call in the living room and people can hear her clearly. Recently we were looking after my in-laws' parrot who was 2 floors below me and clients could hear him squawking lol. We have a baby on the way so I want something ideally such that baby can be in the bassinet next to me and if it cries anyone on the other end can't hear it. Bonus if it has two earpieces/over ear as I find only having one is a bit annoying but this is not a necessity. Ideally not too expensive but I am definitely willing to pay if it does the job! submitted by /u/Merforga to r/Jabra [link] [comments]

Switching calls w/ bluetooth headset?
I'm looking to buy a watch this month (ultra with paired line with phone) and have a question on what I'm looking to do....if even possible. I'm a truck driver and use a blue parrot headset, it allows me to connect to 2 devices at the same time. So I'll be able to connect to watch and phone. If I'm chatting with someone and forgot my phone in the truck, is there away to have the call transfer to watch; from the watch? Auto switch call when headset disconnects from walking away would be nice but that doesn't sound possible. submitted by /u/Effective_Scratch735 to r/GalaxyWatch [link] [comments]

Bluetooth headset w/ PTT built in? | GMRS-PRO
GMRS-PRO + Blue Parrot B350 bluetooth headset = working https://www.blueparrott.com/on-the-road-headsets/blueparrott-b350-xt B350 pairs with the GMRS-PRO radio itself, not the phone the radio is paired to. Works quite well. Headset audio = GOOD Headset mic = GOOD It *almost* has a voice command for PTT called "Phone Command" that brings up Siri or Google Assistant - but knows nothing about PTT..... So close....... I'm aware of the BTECH BS-PTT Wireless PTT (Push-to-Talk) Device which states "Compatible with GMRS-PRO Radios and HFP Bluetooth Headsets" HFP Bluetooth headsets? Not sure if mine is that or not but can always return the button... If it works, maybe I'll just glue the button to the side of the headset? Make it an all-in-one? Any experience w/ the PTT button to share? submitted by /u/uhmzilighase to r/Baofeng [link] [comments]

blue parrot b450xt on pixel6pro very low mic
what is going on with this headset and Android phones or the pixel 6pro? but i think it might apply to all pixels. the mic volume for the other side is terribly low and extremely frustrating. people can't hear you. there is no way to control mic volume. there is just one volume control for the general Android volume. this is supposed to be a premium headset for making calls and is almost unusable because of this. i tried finding apps or rooted magisk modules to tweak mic volume since Android doesn't offer anything but no luck. not surprisingly, pixel buds volume is loud and clear. it's Google deliberately sabotaging other Bluetooth mics to make theirs better because theirs sure works fine. but I'd really like to use this headset. I've spent hours troubleshooting this the past few years no luck. and i even had prior to this the older 450xt model and same result. submitted by /u/superRedditer to r/Headsets [link] [comments]

In search of convertibles... what competes with the Blue Parrot S650-XT?
For travel, I'd like something which can be many headsets in one... a good driving headset, which means covers only one ear and has bluetooth and can be worn for 4 hours comfortably and have volume/pick up/end call/voice dial without taking my eyes off the road (and also good battery life and excellent mic isolation), and also a good computer headset, which means stereo, decent audio for music, and 3.5mm in addition to bluetooth. Stuff I don't need: noise cancelling, superb audio quality. The Blue Parrot S650-XT seems to check most of the boxes, but at $250/pr, they cost more and weigh more than a Blue Parrot B250-XT plus a JBL 400BT Live which is what I carry now. I'm looking for something that would reduce both weight and clutter compared to carrying two headbands around, is there anything? submitted by /u/peaceinastorm to r/HeadphoneAdvice [link] [comments]

i want a bluetooth boom headset
Be Friendly. :) i am working with two headphone setups, and i'd like to consolidate it down to 1. throughout the day, i use the Besign SH03 headset. It's decent, but i've noticed it loses connectivity easily lately. It's my second set, and the price is right, and the style is mostly ok. i might use them forever unless i can find my unicorn. the other set i use SPECIFICALLY FOR FALLING ASLEEP. it was a $3 "bone conduction" cheap piece of plastic from ebay. it's pretty much perfect because it's utterly comfortable, not too loud, and the battery dies after about 2 hours, perfect for falling asleep. i saw the jabra engage 65, andi LOVED the flexibility to switch to stereo, and the single over-the-ear setup it allows. but it's not bluetooth. it's only selling point (besides VERY good call quality (supposedly)) was the style. Budget - i don't want to spend more than $50, because i'm cheap, but for the right headset, i would go as high as $120. Source/Amp - this would be primarily for bluetooth. any other connectivity would be bonuses How the gear will be used - daily phone calls, media listening, and falling asleep Preferred tonal balance - i want the microphone to be crystal clear, but i could probably tolerate even 8kb sound quality in the earpiece. it would be cool to have rich voices, since i listen to a lot of radio and podcasts, but this is not a primary concern at all. Preferred music genre(s) - country, pop, blues, folk, and christmas music Past gear experience - see intro above. edit: added links. also, while i was shopping today, i decided i like the BlueParrot that has the extendable mic boom. it's not bluetooth5+, tho, so i couldn't force/fake stereo even if i had two of em. submitted by /u/fbcebae39bd76915a91c to r/HeadphoneAdvice [link] [comments]

Bluetooth headset recommendations
I’m looking for some recommendations for a cheap but decent Bluetooth headset. I looked on Amazon and see they have some in the 30-40 dollar ranger that looks decent. Anyone have one of those and like it? I’m not looking to spend big bucks on a blue parrot right now. submitted by /u/Dmurphy2016 to r/Truckers [link] [comments]

I need affordable Bluetooth headset recommendation
If anyone can recommend me a Bluetooth headset for trucking that doesn't cause background noise to the other party during phone calls, long battery lifespan (approximately 10-12 hours full battery), and doesn't cost me an arm and a leg, I would appreciate it. My phone doesn't have audio jack. I tried using a type C split cable so I can charge while plugging to audio jack. It doesn't work as the audio jack kept on disconnecting randomly even though it's plugged in all the time. I tried to pull it out, clean the audio jack, still nothing. That's why I am looking for Bluetooth instead of audio jack. submitted by /u/fmintar1 to r/Truckers [link] [comments]

Bluetooth headset
For Christmas I asked wife for a bluetooth headset for taking phone calls while driving, and at the recommendation of a salesman she picked up the Scullcandy Hesh 3 bluetooth HEADPHONES. I found out online that these do not have noise canceling so Im thinking this might not be what Im looking for. Store will refund if the packaging is unopened. Im thinking I should return these and get a blueparrot. Antone use these and can give some input as to the phone call quality in a pretty noisy environment? submitted by /u/Antler24 to r/Truckers [link] [comments]

[REQUEST] a bluetooth headset for working tech support; must cover both ears
i've tried a couple different ones, most notably the Blue Parrot S450-XT but even after warranty replacement, this thing just decides to give up the ghost after a few months. edit: i should note that the ear cups need to actually cover the ears. it gets really loud in my department. mofos need to settle down. submitted by /u/steve0suprem0 to r/bifl [link] [comments]
