RE:suggestions needed on solids while traveling
We just took an international flight and took pouches as well as puffs. We use Serenity Kids, Love Child, Happy Baby Organics, Peter Rabbit, Cerebelly, and the Whole Foods brands of pouches. We use Once Upon a Farm puffs. I just look at the ingredients list on anything we buy and make sure it doesn’t have any additives.

RE:Picky toddler and frustrated
My almost 3 year old is the exact same except the only fruit/veg he eats is ONE variety of cerebelly pouches. He loves noodles so I just make sure to hide things in there like bone broth and bone marrow. I keep bone marrow frozen in 2 tbsp portions and whipped marrow in 1tsp portions and add them to most of his meals. I even spread a thing of marrow on a slice of bread before adding PB&J.

Daycare gave my 15 month old cake
My daycare sends pictures throughout the day of the kids and I received pics of my 15 month old eating birthday cake. Apparently a child in her class had a birthday and the mom bought cake for the toddler class. I wouldn't consider myself crunchy, but I really think it is inappropriate to give such a sugar bomb to such a young children without the parents knowing. She did have a little smash cake on her first birthday but she has not had any cake since, and we also don't do juice, or candy at this age. I really focus on feeding her a variety of whole foods with water and milk as her beverages. She does get things like goldfish, yogurt melts and cerebelly bars--but to me grocery store cake is an a whole other league. I plan to speak to the daycare about it.
