FML. Got Chipotle, but just I was getting out of the car, the food fell through the bag and all over the pavement. (BOWL ON LEFT IS WHAT MY ORIGINAL BOWL WAS, RIGHT IS THE REMADE BOWL) I got Chipotle today with my mom. Usually the proportions are a little iffy but it’s still a decent amount, you complain under your breath, but it’s whatever, it’s how chipotle is. But today had the worst by far, I got all the way through my order, albeit I don’t get a lot, but I could still see the BOTTOM OF MY BOWL!!! I get white rice, no beans, steak, pico, cheese and guac. I barely got half a scoop of steak, so I looked at my mom weird and then she saw how little was in my bowl and said something. I’m unsure if it was a manager or what but he heard her complaining and asked what was wrong, like look at my bowl, it was barely halfway up the bowl at the peak!! He said that he’d make it right, and he did, but I shouldn’t have to complain about me not getting what I’m paying for. Then the cashier made a snarky remark about “don’t come to Chipotle if you don’t like it” WE DO LIKE IT, THATS WHY WE ARE HERE. Anyway, the manager, like I said, did make it right, my remade bowl was literally bursting out of the lid. My son’s been on a strict liquid diet since August while battling Crohn’s Disease and is now recovering from a major, life-changing surgery. All he talked about was Chipotle. Today his doctors cleared him for real food and he finally got it… and I swear this simple Sofritas bowl healed his soul. Talk about a mental turnaround. He’s on the mend now and while he may still face a lifetime of difficulties caused by a disease without a cure, he did what it took to power through. This is a continuation of my previous posts. I only weighed the chicken - based on the fact that Chipotle is supposed to give you 4oz per scoop of chicken. Results: skimp = - extra = + 1st, -5% 2th, -3% 3th, -20% (online) 4nd, +27% 5th, -20% 6th, -20%(online) 7th, -5%(online) 8th, -15% (online) 9th, +2% (online) - DML hack 10th, -10% 11th, +5% 12th, +20% 13th, -10% (online) 14th, -25% (online) 15th, +5% 16th, -10% 17th, -20% 18th, +10% In person Average = Almost 4 oz exact. Online Average = 13% skimp :( Mean of 94.7% with a standard deviation of 14.5 I made a website to find the Chipotles that skimp and don't. www.stoptheskimp.com Since I started #stoptheskimp 5 months ago, we have been able to shine a light on Chipotle's portion sizes. I've been working at Chipotle for a little over a month now and have realized that most people prefer bowls over burritos and I was wondering why? You can hold burritos, and they're more filling IMO because of the tortilla. What benefits does the bowl have? I manage a team of 6 people, we are now coming back to the office one day a week. I decided to get lunch for the team to show that I am appreciative of everyone coming back to the office, eventually I can use the company card but for now I used my own cash. Well I ask everyone to write on this sheet of paper what their order for Chipotle is, and I was going to pick it up. Well, one of my team members call her Cathy, puts her order down and then puts 2x. I was like this is odd but when I went to Chipotle I just got one bowl for her, as I did for all my other coworkers. I didn't want people to think I was being unfair or anything. Well when I come back I give everyone their bowls / burritos and Cathy flips out. She says why I didn't get her two bowls, I said I wasn't sure. She then starts raising her voice, I tell her we can speak in my office but then she goes onto rant saying that I am giving her an eating disorder, that she isn't going to starve herself. I stepped away to my desk and called HR. She went to their office and then someone had a phonecall with me. Besides what happens with HR, on a personal level was I wrong here? To me it's just the most obvious sponsor for a bowl game ever. Normally, I hate the commercialization of bowl game names, but this one I'd be okay with. The other one for me would be for whenever they added them to the menu, there should have been a "Waffle House Hashbrown Bowl" Also, add in a game between the 2 teams with the worst records and call it the "Kohler Toilet Bowl" Any other companies that you think should sponsor bowl games?
