RE:Vote: Diaper Genie or Ubbi
I have a diaper genie. It’s nice and contains smell (until you open it) but the larger they get the less it holds. If you get a platinum one (it’s the rectangle refills) it’s 30$ for a refill of trash bags. I’m looking into getting something else now that my daughter is in a size 5. It feels like we go through a bag every 2 days. I will say Walmart has the bags cheaper

Baby & Pregnancy Items: Bumbo seat, diaper genie, baby monitor, diaper bag, momcozy pump
Hi! I need these items gone by today, I am located in the Pearl District. I can meet in front of apartment. They served me well for a short time, but most these items are lightly used. Details below: -Metal Diaper Genie Select: lightly used, I never got around to buying the refills so this just took space -Bumbo with tray: Used twice -Momcozy handsfree breast pump: I used it twice, wasn't really for me -Baby Monitor: all plugs there, camera moves -Diaper bag: well-loved -Nursing Pads: I have a ton left I never used -Baby heartbeat Doppler. Works amazing, I had a high risk pregnancy and it gave me peace of mind. You'll need to buy the gel, you can get it on Amazon I have some miscellaneous items too like water bottles and a kid lunchbox. Would be great if you can take them all, but first come first serve! submitted by /u/crispylumpia to r/PDXBuyNothing [link] [comments]

Diaper genie Platinum hacks needed
We were gifted a Diaper Genie for our newborn and are on our last bag. I know there is a hack out there to use regular trash bags for the refills and watched the video. This only works for specific models and the Platinum one is not one of them. Anyone know of any alternatives? I know there is an off brand of bag refills but they don't really save more than a few dollars per order. submitted by /u/HorzaDonwraith to r/NewParents [link] [comments]

Are generic diaper pail refills like BabyWantz as good as the name brand?
We're looking for ways to cut down on diaper expenses. Has anyone tried BabyWantz diaper pail refills or other generic brands? Do they control odor as well as the more expensive Diaper Genie refills? I appreciate any firsthand experiences or tips! submitted by /u/bhinder209 to r/NewParents [link] [comments]

Anyone tried BabyWantz diaper pail refills? Trying to save some money.
My twins go through diapers so fast; we've been spending a lot on Diaper Genie refills. I saw a cheaper option from BabyWantz and wondered if they actually contain the smell effectively. Have any dads here tried them? Would love honest feedback before I switch. submitted by /u/bhinder209 to r/daddit [link] [comments]

BabyWantz vs Diaper Genie refills – worth the switch?
I’ve used Diaper Genie refills for a year but just saw these BabyWantz ones trending on TikTok and Amazon. They’re like half the price and claim to fit the same pails. Anyone here actually tried them? Wondering how they hold up for odor and mess. submitted by /u/bhinder209 to r/BabyBumps [link] [comments]

Anyone tried BabyWantz diaper pail refills instead of Diaper Genie ones?
I’m trying to cut down on diaper costs and came across BabyWantz diaper pail refills on Amazon. Way cheaper than the Diaper Genie ones I’ve been using. Has anyone tried them? Do they actually block the smell well? submitted by /u/bhinder209 to r/Parenting [link] [comments]

Diaper Genie Classic
I'm wanting to buy the diaper genie classic, but as cant find any generic bag refills as they take the square ones. Has anyone found some easily available refills for this (in Walmart or target etc) submitted by /u/georg9219 to r/BabyBumps [link] [comments]

Useless baby items
Hi, I’m currently 15 weeks pregnant with our first baby and I’m trying not to buy too much stuff. But in a world of overconsumption it’s hard to filter out what is or isn’t necessary for a kid. 3 things I’m already not buying: • diaper genie: I wouldn’t leave my own soiled wipes in the bin for multiple days. I find them too expensive and the refill bags are also not cheap. • bottle warmer: I can just get warm tap water? Or use the microwave. • wipe warmer: don’t feel like I need to explain this one. What are more examples of products that are marketed towards new parents but are a waste of money, or what are better/cheaper alternatives? Edit: thanks so much for your answers and recommendations, you guys changed my mind about a diaper pail. I will be looking into buying one. submitted by /u/cuppien to r/NewParents [link] [comments]

Tips for fighting diaper genie stink
Every single time I go to change my daughter and open that diaper genie I get slapped in the face with the most horrid smell ever. We were changing out the bag with every poopy diaper but went through the refills like crazy, now we just wait until it's full. You guys have any tips and tricks to help fight the smell? submitted by /u/iamgoneinsane to r/NewDads [link] [comments]

I didn't know you were supposed to empty a diaper Genie multiple times with the same bag...
I had read online that a diaper Genie refill can fit like 170 diapers, I was amazed because it's not that big. We had our baby 14 days ago and she got out of the NICU 5 days ago. Well it's full and I'm just shoving more down in there but it's not closing, I was asking my wife if it's broken or what. Then I looked at the instructions and you're supposed to empty it when it reaches the top not shove it down... I just pulled like 20lbs of diapers out of that thing. I feel so dumb 😂 submitted by /u/Usernameinotherpantz to r/daddit [link] [comments]

fuck Diaper Genie and their fucking shit-ass shit can
Seriously. We had twins and I estimate we spent about $15/month minimum on refills for nearly three years. That's over $500. Stupid fucking plastic bucket broke all the time -- I could maybe have a part time job just in Diaper Genie repair. Always stinking to high hell, even with the deodorizing inserts. Taking the bags out and pinching off a shit sausage is always a stinky mess, too. We just had a third baby and got a new solution for him. I don't want to name product names, but it's basically a fucking trash can with a lid. It works 15000 times better than the fucking Diaper Genie and all I have to do is open the fucking lid and take the bag out. Also, the bags are just on a roll like normal trash bags and we're still on the first roll after three months in. In summary, fuck Diaper Genie and their fucking shit-ass shit can scam. submitted by /u/platetone to r/Parenting [link] [comments]
