Hi, I noticed the significant change in design and size for the Pampers premium care, size 4. Old design was more yellow, new one has more blue color in it. Diapers with soft tabs? Pampers leaving red marks on thighs
My 15 month, 23 lb son has been in Pampers Size 4 for a while now, but I've recently started noticing the tabs and sides of the diaper are leaving red, almost cut-like, marks on his thighs. The diapers are rated for 22-37 lbs, so at 23 lbs it seems strange he would already need to size up. I know you're supposed to go off diaper fit not suggested weight, but they fit fine everywhere else other than the tabs rubbing. The next size up is rated for babies 27+ lbs, which seems like it would be too large. The tabs on Pampers are pretty sharp and he does have pretty chunky thighs, so not sure if this is what's causing the issue. Are there any diaper brands that have extra soft tabs? Or maybe are extra suitable for chunky babies? For various reasons we cannot use cloth diapers. submitted by /u/cookiemonster_22 to r/beyondthebump [link] [comments]

Replacement for Pampers Pure diapers?
So it seems Pampers Pure is being replaced by Pampers Amore and I’m disappointed. I went into motherhood thinking I wanted to do cloth diapering but being a working mom quickly nixed that idea. Regular pampers irritated my son’s bum, so did Huggies and the 1-2 free samples we got from Millie Moon. Pampers Pure was the only thing that never irritated him and we were super happy with their absorbency. But here we are 8 months into being Pampers Pure loyalists and stores are no longer stocking them so it seems we will have to move on. We tried Pampers Amore. They aren’t irritating him which is great but there are aspects we don’t like. Firstly, we’ve had a few leaks especially overnight. This is not a sizing issue because we had just gone up to size 4 a week or so ago. Also, the diaper liner seems to stick to his skin which is just annoying. Pampers Pure would do this sometimes too but a barrier cream would do the trick to prevent it. Anyone else in the same boat? If we are going to be buying “luxury” diapers, I feel like it should at least feel worth our money and (for now) I’m not feeling like Amore is that. submitted by /u/Ok_Squirrel_9601 to r/beyondthebump [link] [comments]

My (24F) Husband (23M) Faked Fainting After I Gave Birth
I am NOT OOP, OOP is u/Psalters Originally posted to r/relationship_advice My (24F) Husband (23M) Faked Fainting After I Gave Birth Trigger Warnings: health issues, weaponized incompetence, mentions of depression, postpartum Original Post: May 8, 2025 My husband and I have been together for 5 years. I want to start by saying that, despite his quirks, my husband is genuinely sweet and hardworking. I truly believe he loves me deeply, tries his best, and has always dreamed of being a husband and father. That’s why this whole situation has left me confused and conflicted. We got pregnant a bit sooner than expected, though it wasn’t entirely unplanned. In the first trimester I was lucky to avoid nausea, but the fatigue hit me hard, especially during my final university exams. I had to nap for 1-2 hours every afternoon just to function. At the time, we didn’t know that this kind of exhaustion was a normal pregnancy symptom, and I was so focused on school that I didn’t think much of it. Meanwhile, my husband quietly started resenting me. He thought I was being lazy because I wasn’t keeping up with the housework (which, except for dishes, was mostly my responsibility). Thankfully, a friend asked if I’d been hit by the tiredness and explained that it’s important I rest. He seemed to understand, but I guess it bugs me that faced with his wife being utterly exhausted his first reaction was to think of me as lazy and be annoyed rather than concerned. Throughout the rest of my pregnancy, his attitude often felt off. He would get annoyed by what I thought were small requests—like bringing me water before bed—and complained about the size of my pregnancy pillow. While he always apologised later on if I let myself get sad about it, I felt like there was something he wasn’t saying. Friends told me to enjoy the “pregnancy pampering,” but I didn’t experience any of that. He treated me the same as before and seemed irritated when I couldn’t keep up. Despite everything, I had a fairly easy pregnancy physically, and emotionally I responded very well to the crazy levels of estrogen making me quite happy and hopeful. I stayed upbeat and tried to be as pleasant and positive as possible. During this time, he started getting really into these “men’s experiences during pregnancy” podcasts and would vent about how no one considers what fathers go through, which I sympathised with. Then came the birth. After a long and sleepless labor, I needed an emergency C-section. I gave birth around midnight, and since partners couldn’t stay overnight, he went home. I stayed awake with our newborn for a fourth night in a row. When he returned the next morning, he told me he had fainted on the way home, showing me how dirty his jacket was after falling. I was concerned, but I was so depleted I could barely process it. During our hospital stay, he brought food and held the baby while I slept, but his attitude still felt… annoyed. I chalked it up to stress. Then came the newborn phase—our son was colicky, I was exhausted, and we argued constantly. I couldn’t be my usual sweet self, and I desperately needed emotional support. He, on the other hand, seemed to want sympathy too. At one point, it had been 5 days since the baby had a bath and he enquired of me annoyed. I didn’t turn on my filter and said, “Why don’t you give him a bath then?” he responded with that he didn’t know how and was upset I told him to Google it. He felt overwhelmed working 3–4 hours a day and microwaving meals twice daily, so researching baby baths was apparently too much. I ended up taking our baby to all his appointments alone because my husband looked so irritated when tired that nurses started asking questions. I could say a lot more, but here’s my main concern: Recently, we revisited the topic of my pregnancy and our son’s birth. I told him I felt unsupported during that time. That’s when he confessed that he lied about fainting after the birth so I would feel bad for him. He apparently only slipped on the ice. He felt ignored and unimportant during the pregnancy. Every time he talked to friends, they told him to focus on supporting me, and he started to feel invisible. While I understand the desire to feel seen, to lie about something like this when I truly needed support feels deeply hurtful. I explained that being a supportive partner is not meaningless—it’s actually a vital, powerful role. He was remorseful but I don’t know if this is expecting too much from him? Things are better between us today, but honestly, I don’t think I want him with me the next time I give birth. I feel like it would be easier to mentally prepare for doing it alone than to split my emotional focus between giving birth, the baby and managing his feelings again. TL;DR My husband lied about fainting after I gave birth to our son, I feel unsupported, but I am scared I am putting too much pressure on him. How do we move forward from this? Relevant Comments Commenter 1: I don’t think he tries his best, and I think you’re giving him too much credit by claiming he is doing so. He’s failing as a father and a husband, he knows this, and yet he does not even care to know how to clean his own child. The man you described in the first paragraph sounds like a fantasy you’ve superimposed over this unsupportive, lying jackass. Commenter 2: I'm also really curious about the work dynamic of this relationship. He works 3-4 hours for a workday? Is OP the breadwinner, nanny, and maid? Part of me hopes so, because that would make it that much easier to leave this asshat. OOP: He is the breadwinner, after his 1 week ish paternity leave he took half the day off to support us for a while longer. Now he’s back to working full time from his home office. I wish to be a sahm. He does the dishes, cooks 2-3 times a month, takes care of our dog and helps with baby when he has time. OOP on her husband's work schedule and how much he has been helping with their baby OOP: Well his work schedule is kinda wacky because of across the sea clients. We wake up at 8-9, sometimes he lets me sleep in for an hour, sometimes I let him sleep in for an hour. I am a morning person, so I usually have more energy for the baby in the morning. We eat brunch together unless I have errands to run (which I would bring the baby for), he does the dishes while I do some chores if the baby is happy playing on the floor or napping. He then works from 12:00-20:00, while I jungle baby and whatever else I can manage that day. I usually start to prep dinner at 15:30, we have a dinner break at 17:00 - 18:30 where he takes the little guy while I finish putting dinner on the table. Then he goes back to work, but he’ll usually do baby’s bedtime routine (20 minutes at 20:00) but I have to nurse him to sleep. Then we get some time together from 21:30 til 23:45 when I go to bed and he finishes up his work, feeds the dog and usually joins me in bed at 00:30 unless he has a lot of work left. Commenter 3: Every one of these starts with "I just want to say that my hubby is generally awesome and super supportive".... And then it's paragraphs of just how awful, unsupportive, selfish, and mean the husband is. I think it's almost second nature for us to not want to see our partners as bad people, because why would we be in a relationship with bad people? But you're husband isn't nice. He wasn't caring. He isn't supportive. And you have a valid reason to feel like he wasn't there for you. OOP: Well I think everyone has some bad and some good in them and it’s our responsibility to train ourselves to do the right actions and draw out what’s good. This is easy to do when life is a calm summer day, the real challenge is when things get tough. We are like a cup of coffee, if you bump into it some coffee will spill out and the hot coffee burns you. When life bumps into us some of our core spills out. For both me and my husband our spills have both been too hot to handle and therefore we quarrel. If one of us had a cool spill our temperatures would even out, and seeing how these events seemingly have been afflicting me harder overall I wish he would have evened out our temperatures. One of my biggest flaws is that I have no sense of self preservation, I just push on through everything, and this makes it too easy for a slightly emotionally immature guy to understand the need to reflect and anticipate over his own responses to a big bump from life. Anyway most people lose sight of the sun in the midst of a storm and all they can talk about is the storm even though they logically know the sun is behind all of it somewhere. Last summer I was able to write down 40 great things about my husband in 3 minutes but right now I can’t recall a single thing. My dismay at his current behaviour has temporarily coloured all my feelings towards him at the moment even though I know the list of things he does well is still true. The difference that I didn’t state clearly enough is that he has shown remorse and is willing to change, I am just annoyed that he wasn’t able to be insightful enough to see how his behaviour was unacceptable from the start and change sooner. OOP clarifies on the meals per month. There are 70-90 meals a month OOP: Fair confusion, I wasn’t clarifying haha. We eat twice a day. Brunch is usually leftovers or I make myself porridge, I was mainly talking about dinner. We eat leftovers two times a week for dinner and cook for the remaining 5 days. He cooks almost one dinner a week so 3/20. Which given his work schedule, which I also should have clarified is currently 8 hours if not more, is fair.   Update: March 17, 2026 (over 10 months later) [Update] My (24F) Husband (23M) Faked Fainting After I Gave Birth It’s been almost a year, so I thought I’d give an update in case anyone is wondering. First, I want to thank everyone who took the time to comment, message me, or simply read and reflect on the post. When I wrote the original post I was in a very poor postpartum mental state and felt lost and extremely lonely. Seeing people even care a little bit made me feel less alone and reflect more on my own self-worth. I also want to mention that I don’t think I properly explained our situation or what my husband was doing all day. I left out some details to keep the original post short and readable. Both my husband and I were incredibly sleep deprived at the time, and I wasn’t even fully aware of or able to process how difficult our situation really was. Our son had colic and needed to be fed up to 15 times a day (exclusively breastfed) and held almost constantly, day and night. We slept in shifts, but neither of us were getting proper sleep. In our country the cause behind colic is never investigated unless you pay out of pocket and go to a private hospital so the nurses and doctors brushed us completely off. There was also a misunderstanding about my husband’s work. The company he works for is very stingy with hours. He has to report his active work in 15-minute increments and only gets paid for those. However, because of time zone differences he spends a lot of time preparing for work and staying available for messages. Because he was often hovering around his computer, I felt like he was working and unavailable to help for 7–11 hours a day. In reality, that usually added up to only 4–5 hours of paid work. In between tasks, meetings, and waiting for messages, he would do dishes, take care of the dog, grocery shop, and change diapers. On top of that, we were also dealing with visa trouble, a mistake the immigration department made, which meant we had to spent a lot of time and money on lawyer visits, reapplying and gathering documents. That said, this doesn’t excuse his behaviour. The response to original post definitely turned into quite the choral demand of divorce, so let me start off by saying we are still married and things did indeed work out. A few days after I made the original post, one of our fights escalated to the point where I left to stay with my grandma for a couple of nights. That seemed to trigger my husband to realise he could potentially lose us. About a week later he found the post and confronted me about it. Initially he was very upset because he felt completely misrepresented, but it also led him to reflect on himself. We spent a lot of time talking about our relationship, reading relationship advice and books together, praying together, and reflecting on the past. Around the start of summer we all started sleeping a little better, which made us more functional and relaxed. He understood that if the way I described things in the original post was truly how I viewed him and our lives, then he needed to change. And slowly, he did. We also moved to a quieter environment, and as I started to manage motherhood better (and regained some brain capacity), our communication improved a lot. One of the biggest changes for me after having our child was realizing that I no longer had the capacity to manage or be responsible for my husband’s emotions. He is responsible for himself, and I stopped making excuses for him or making up for his shortcomings or shove everything under the carpet like my family tends to do. In other words, I became much more blunt in our conversations and stood up for my opinions more clearly. This helped us establish our expectations, how we view and show love, and how we divide work and responsibilities within our marriage. At the same time, he learned that his goal shouldn’t be to keep the peace at all times and avoid tough conversations in order to “spare my emotions.” To add more context, he was also dealing with a pretty serious depressive episode that he was hiding while I was pregnant. At the time he was actually working around 10–11 hours a day, which contributed to him building up resentment toward me and struggling to show compassion or affection. Even though this year has probably been the most difficult year of my life (and I grew up severely neglected, for reference), it has still feels worth it in the end. Now he is a great dad and husband. He gets excited about our child’s milestones and growing interests. He lets me sleep in when he can, takes the brunt of the night wake-ups, helps plan and prepare baby meals, and makes an excellent effort to be thoughtful and considerate. He really tries to listen to me and he feels much more like the man I first met and fell in love with. I’m still struggling with low self-worth, and I still find it hard to ask for simple favors. (I think however discovering Mr. Rogers while watching it with kiddo has actually been helping a bit!) And while we still quarrel, all our arguments finally tend to resolve calmly and in a timely way. After the long visa dispute and all the immigration lawyer and application costs, we unfortunately don’t have the money for individual therapy or couples counseling right now. But it’s something we both want to pursue as soon as we have a bit more financial stability. Anyway, thank you for reading all of this. I’m still open for advice if you have any. Is this marriage salvageable? tl;dr My husband is less depressed, and I gained the ability to stand more up for myself and we managed to heal and work out our issues slowly over the year. Relevant / Top Comments Commenter 1: I think you did salvage it! Seriously, that is some serious growth on both of your parts and I recommend you stop for a moment and appreciate that. Well done! I agree with the other commenter, do not have another child right away or in the near future, even if it might sound enticing. You didn’t mention you were planning to, but just throwing it out there. I think getting stable and enjoying what you have built together is the way forward. Again, congrats to making these changes for your family, it sounds like a lot of hard work is paying off and you should stop and smell the flowers so to speak. Pat yourselves on the back, cause nobody else is gonna do it for you. Good luck! OOP: Thank you for your kind words. We don’t have space nor the money for another child right now anyway so we will definitely wait for the right time 😊. Commenter 2: I remember reading your last post and I'm glad things are going better for you now! Honestly you're both still very young so I do think some immaturity and arguing is forgiveable as long as both people in the relationship are always actively working to improve themselves and the relationship. This is part of what people mean when they say "marriage takes work." It sounds like your husband did accept responsibility for his actions and has been stepping up to be both a better husband and father, which is a great sign. No one can predict the future, and only you truly know how your husband makes you feel. Do you feel safe with him? Do you feel like you can rely on him? Do you feel like he would have your back right now if something went wrong? From what you described solely in this post, things do sound promising. If you can't afford couples counseling, that's totally fine. Perhaps you can both schedule a check in each week where you each discuss the current state of your mental health, how stressed out you are, where you feel like you're struggling or could use help, but also what you noticed over the past week about your partner that made you appreciate them. It might help you both keep up to date with each other's feelings, keep resentment down by acknowledging the work the other does, and you might find it easier to communicate your needs if it's in a meeting scheduled specifically for that reason. You could try writing down things throughout the week that you feel you want to bring up later, so you don't forget. I hope things continue to improve and I wish the best for you and your family! OOP: Thank you for your comment. I have a hard time trusting anything but he is definitely the person I trust the most in the world because every time he makes a mistake he is honest about it and tries his best to not repeat it. Thank you for your advice! Commenter 3: The only advice I’d give at this point is to hold off on having a second child until you manage to get that counselling together. But overall you both seem to have put in the effort and rebuilt your relationship, so I’m happy for you. Commenter 4: I think you can probably be cautiously optimistic but continue to be watchful. Go to marriage counseling before your next kid. Otherwise I would bet money on him doing the exact same thing. Men feeling the need go center themselves during a woman's pregnancy are pathological, very "I am uncomfortable when is not about me?" And until he addresses the root of that its going to happen again.   DO NOT COMMENT IN LINKED POSTS OR MESSAGE OOPs – BoRU Rule #7 THIS IS A REPOST SUB - I AM NOT OOP submitted by /u/Choice_Evidence1983 to r/BestofRedditorUpdates [link] [comments]

7mo leaking out of 2 sizes of diapers…
Diaper help! We’ve been using pampers swaddlers for our nighttime diapers since birth (and Millie moon for daytime - she leaked through the Millie moons consistently every night). I upped her to a size 3 diaper less than a month ago due to blowouts, but the last 4 nights she’s leaked through her diaper, sleep sack, everything. So I went to Target, bought a size 4 pampers swaddler - same issue. Now I’m not sure what to do or try next! Her diapers are extremely saturated by morning. 2s are definitely too small, Huggies don’t work for us, and she leaks out of Millie moons at night. Pampers size confusion
My twins are right at 16lbs and their size 3 diapers are starting to fit tight so I went to pull the size 4 diapers out of the closet and apparently they've updated sizes recently so now I'm confused. According to the pampers website, the new size 4s are for 15-32lbs but our box of the old style 4s are 22-37lbs. Does anyone know if they are truly a different size or did they just change the weight recommendation? Should I go buy the new "smaller" size 4 or should this box work? submitted by /u/Upbeat-Student4387 to r/NewParents [link] [comments]

Between diaper sizes help
My 17 month old male baby is between sizes. We've been using rascals as they've been the most absorbent especially overnight. Barely had any blow outs. He was in size 3s forever but the waist seemed too much of a stretch and started having red marks on his bum so I moved up to size 4. They're HUGE he's having blow outs down his legs almost every poo and the diaper sags almost immediately all his pants are pulling them off his bum. We tried Pampers size 4 and they're a little snugger fit but still blowing out the legs when he poos. Do I switch brands?? Retry the 3s? Is there a trick I'm missing here?! submitted by /u/Snixx_Verendus to r/NewParents [link] [comments]

How is my 6 month old premi in size 4 diapers?
My 6 month old premi (corrected age 4 months) kept having blow outs in his size 3 diapers, which I was still shocked about having to move him up to those at 5 months (corrected 3). We've been having blowouts again with every liquid lava breast milk poop🌋💩, and I decided to try a size 4 and it fits his bum perfectly. Size 4 is for 22lbs, but that makes no sense! Maybe our little guy has a bigger bum than our first---"Different baby, different body." It's just like...he is a baby. He has a baby bum! I don't know if it's big or not. Lol! I'm going by the recommendations on the box and they don't make sense! Our little guy is currently: 25 inches long and 15lbs 8oz, which doesn't seem outrageous and isn't above 50th percentile or anything. So, like what is going on here with pampers? This is my second baby and my first wasn't in size 4 diapers until he was 11 months old and was 28.5 inches long and 20lbs, granted I didn't know WTF I was doing and probably could have sized him up sooner because I didn't know frequent blowouts meant you need to size up or anything about diaper science / fit (the research I've done on diapers...tell me you're a parent without telling me you're a parent when you spend hours of your life on reddit researching diapers). I'm so confused. The little blue elastic blowout liners don't cover his bum cheeks in the size 3. I have to fan them out and then they still retract back to his inner bum checks instead of the outside of them and they are meant to catch poop. I'm like...what is going on here? I've always liked pampers for my slender taller babies, but they aren't above average tall or anything. I'm just confused. I'm like...the size 2s we're leaving red marks on his thighs and were definitely too small. Are the size 3s actually too big? I don't think so. I don't understand 😭😭😭 submitted by /u/TypeAtryingtoB to r/beyondthebump [link] [comments]

Diaper Size
Hi All, I am struggling hard with diaper size. My LO IS 14 weeks and approaching 14 lbs. Size 3 Huggies Snugglers leave marks consistently on his inner thighs and pamper swaddlers do half the time. Am I doing something wrong?? No way he is a size 4! submitted by /u/Efficient_Internet13 to r/NewParents [link] [comments]

What diaper brand/size is in between pampers newborn and 1?
Hey so we have a ton of pampers swaddlers diapers in N, 1, 2, and 3. I don't have a reason to dislike them yet (I think). My son is almost 4 weeks and about 10 lbs and I think he's between newborn and size 1. Newborns are starting to get tight on his legs and don't cover his butt/backside but size 1s are pretty huge on him. It feels like theres a size missing. Is there another brand that would fit better in this awkward phase that someone can suggest? submitted by /u/Independent_Cat_8514 to r/NewParents [link] [comments]

Sized out of overnight diapers
My 2.5 yr old son wears size 7 Millie moon diapers during the day, they work great and don’t irritate his sensitive skin. The issue is they only make up to size 6 overnight diapers. He’s leaking every night. Our laundry is coin operated and 4.25 a load, so it’s adding uo pretty quickly washing his pee sheets. We’ve tried pampers overnight but 2 nights in and he’s got a rash on his bum. We tried honest as well, they didn’t break him out but they didn’t hold up overnight. I’ve tried cutting back liquid before bedtime, putting pee pads down, etc. I’m kind of at a loss, is my guy just destined to be soaked in piss nightly? submitted by /u/shannoniscats to r/daddit [link] [comments]

Overnight diapers for small 4 month old?
Hi, My 4.5 month old is 12.5 lbs. changing diapers at night is becoming a problem as it wakes her up even more. And sometimes she pees as I’m changing her and then I have to change everything which wakes her up. She’s long and lean. We currently use pampers pure size 2. Pampers swaddlers for best but kinda make her butt red. She’s on the verge of outgrowing them on top but the legs are still too big. Anyway- we try to change her once a night but even then there’s a lot of pee in the morning. Any tips for a good diaper for overnight for such a small baby? submitted by /u/ChallengeDizzy40 to r/NewParents [link] [comments]

5 month old baby in size 6 diapers…am I doing something wrong?
Hi my 5 month old baby just moved to size 6 diapers. I’m using pampers swaddlers. I’m worried bc they only go to size 8 and she’s only 5 months. Am I doing something wrong? I pull the tabs so they meet in the middle and 2 fingers can go under them. Is this technique correct? She’s 50 percentile weight and 70 percentile length. She weighs 15lb. She was leaking a lot of pee in size 5 so that’s why I moved up recently. No leaks in size 6 yet. Thanks! Edit: Wow thank you all so much. I know many people suggested size 3 which is where her weight range is based on the weight chart. However when we had her in size 3 a month ago she blew out poop almost every day. Should I try size 4? Last time she was in size 4 they started looking too tight to me but maybe I’ll give them another try. Size 5 leaks pee through leg during day and up back at night. Another edit: I know people are saying not to put tabs too far in middle. However when she was wearing a size 3 I played around and did tabs tight and loose and no matter what I did she blew out. submitted by /u/Lilac-Lover4 to r/NewParents [link] [comments]

I don’t understand diaper sizing
So my baby was in newborn diapers up until a month old, and then wore a size 1 for about 3 weeks before the blowouts happened. I bought so many size 1 diapers thinking we would be in them for a while. Then she moved into a size 2 before turning 2 months old, and size 3 about when she turned 3months old. She was only 14lb when putting her in a size 3, I know the range is 16-28lb but the size 2 diapers just weren’t fitting around her thigh and up the back. I also have about 250 size 3 diapers left because she wasn’t even in the weight range yet and I thought we would be in them until at least 20lbs Homegirl JUST hit 16 pounds (okay 16 pounds and 3 ounces) but is struggling to fit into a 3. She had 3 blowouts at daycare in 1 day this week. Partially because daycare half a**es putting the diaper on her (sometimes when I bring her home one side is barely on) but this weekend I’m seeing they’re snug and she had a little blow out on me. A size 4 is recommended for 22-37lbs. I put one on her and it seemed big because it’s a new fit compared to the snug 3.. but then she went poopy in it and didn’t blow out. I know the weights are all suggestions and recommended ranges but it seems weird that she’s on the bottom end of the weight range on a 3 and fits in a 4 better. For reference, she’s 70-80% for both height and weight, we’ve used Huggies, Kirkland, pampers, Aldi Brand, and Parents Choice (aka Walmart) and see the same thing. We’ve been using Parents choice most recently because we’ve have basically no blowouts until this week, they’re great price, and they’re mostly free of anything you don’t want (our pediatric derm recommended) I would say maybe parents choice runs small but she grew out of the Huggies (and had way more blowouts) before the parents choice. Maybe this is a rant, I just need validation that I’m not the only one struggling with diaper sizes making sense. At this rate I feel like she’ll be in adult diapers before she’s potty trained lol submitted by /u/SpecificChapter8281 to r/newborns [link] [comments]

Anyone else’s 16 month old still wearing size 3 diapers?
It’s actually kind of funny. My girl has been in size 3 pampers since she was probably 11-12 months old. So far, we’ve had no leaks or anything, which is why we haven’t sized upped. They are, slowly, getting tighter and she could probably wear a size 4 if needed - but I’m so amazed that they still work and fit her 😅 submitted by /u/takeaabreath to r/toddlers [link] [comments]

What size diapers are your babies wearing?
FTM and I feel like I’m changing the sizing of my baby’s diaper too quickly? If that makes sense. She does not have blowouts often or anything of that sort. I solely judge based on how they fit her, around the waist and legs. I will notice that once the elastic at the thighs start to fit a bit more snug, I’ll size up to the next size once we finish the current ones. For reference, she is almost 5 months old, weighs 14 pounds, 98th percentile in height (idk if this matters) and is wearing a size 4 in pampers swaddlers. Am I doing something wrong here? Are there other ways to determine when is the right time to size up? submitted by /u/bullylover4 to r/NewParents [link] [comments]

Diaper Sizing - I am terribly mistaken
I feel so embarrassed. I think I’ve been putting my daughter in the wrong size diapers for a longggg time. Help! We use pampers swaddlers. I’ve never followed the weight sizing, but moreso the yellow markings on the waist band. I think I’ve been putting the diapers up way too high. But she’s had a blow out maybe once in her life so I thought the more full-coverage was a good thing/working well! BUT I recently learned the diaper should go under her belly button. When I do that, I see just how huge her current ones are. Like huge everywhere. I was doing high waisted diapers. 🤦🏼‍♀️ For reference, she is almost 15 months old, weighs 20-25 lbs, and is probably about 30 inches long. (At her one year appt she was 20 pounds, 29 inches). She is VERY slim in the waist. Most 12-18 pants are too loose. If you use pampers swaddlers, what size would you suggest for her? What size diapers does your baby use in general for the 12-15 month age range? According to pampers, she’d be a size 4. I am humiliated to tell you I’ve been buying a much bigger size than that! 😬 ETA: thank you all for the input! I ordered a small pack of size 4 to try on her! I’m thinking a 4 or 5 would be a much better fit than the 7s I just started buying. 😂😭🫣 Go easy on me, y’all. 😅 submitted by /u/Icy-Objective-8969 to r/beyondthebump [link] [comments]

My Mom is mad that i decided to leave for college earlier than necessary.
I am not The OOP, OOP is u/ElectricalPlum6281 My Mom is mad that i decided to leave for college earlier than necessary. Originally posted to r/AmItheAsshole & r/EntitledPeople TRIGGER WARNING Financial abuse, emotional abuse, physical abuse, emotional manipulation and destruction of property MOOD SPOILER: OOP ends on a positive note AITA for yelling at my brother and charging him every time he eats my food? Feb 14, 2023 For a little background info, I’m a 17-year-old girl whose balancing 2 jobs and senior year while my 24-year-old brother has no job and lives upstairs in our attic with his gf who also has no job. They’ll sometimes go deliver food but they spend all of that money on alcohol. My mother pays all the bills and sometimes buys groceries but that gets a little hard with all my senior fees she pays plus I go to a private school so that’s more money. Ever since I got my job I started to buy myself and my mother food so we could have something to eat for the week. I started noticing my brother coming down into the kitchen multiple times a day and the food would be gone that night. If I bought food Monday all of it would be gone by Wednesday morning. We began hiding the good food but eventually, he’d find that and eat it. I even wrote my name and do not eat on stuff but that didn’t stop him either. Once he ate all the food that was it until the next week I’d get paid and we’d only have bread pasta and cheese to eat for that week. About a month ago I went to the doctor and found out I lost a substantial amount of weight in 3 months and I decided to put my foot down since my mother never would. Every time he’d eat anything I text him a fee for the food. I’d keep nagging him and he’d eventually pay me back. Well about 2 days ago I bought a case of Ensure (which is a weight-gain protein drink) nobody else in my house would have any reason for drinking them. The next day when I woke up the whole pack of 6 was GONE. the empty case was left in the fridge. I exploded and called him and his gf losers who needed to get tf out. I let 3 years of anger out and lost it. I told them they both owe me over $1000 worth of food for these past years and I left before he could respond. while at school my mom and grandparents kept texting me about how I was out of line and how family doesn’t treat each other like this but I can’t find it in myself to care. I asked my friends what they thought and there were mixed opinions but the majority said I was out of line and should’ve let my mother handle it. so aita? VERDICT: NOT THE ASSHOLE My Mom is mad that i decided to leave for college earlier than necessary. May 27, 2023 Sorry i’m typing on a phone because she(my mom) has broken my computer. For some background info I had posted on AITA before about how my older brother would constantly eat everything in the house and not contribute anything to the family(he’s 23). We would then be left with bread, water and pasta while him and his gf would constantly go out for food while also paying no bills and leaving everything on my mom. I have a gluten problem so i can’t eat bread and pasta and i’d essentially be left starving almost. Once i did get a job i’d buy things i’d be able to eat(gluten free products) and he’s still eat everything up in 2 days and for the next week i was left to starve again. It got to the point where i had lost so much weight my doctor was concerned. He recommended i started to drink some protein shakes and get a better balanced diet. I had bought a few cases of ensures and when i went to get them the next day they were all gone. So i immediately purchased a mini fridge and installed a lock on my door. This was fine for about 3 months until i came home and my door was removed and my mother berated me and basically yelled at me for “holding out” on them. Anyways to sum that part up for the next few months nothing changed but i was able to eat a little more and i’m up to a healthy weight. I also got a full ride to my top college and they invited me to their honors college and a summer program which will give me college credits and they’ll also fly me out to them. All i’d have to pay for was my dorm supplies and clothes if i wanted any new ones. When i told my mom about it she immediately said no to the program and to college because i’d be “leaving” her and she needs me because i’m her “rock” and i can’t just leave her with my brother. Like okay? then kick him out and live by yourself , this is the same man she protected and kept taking his side during arguments, everyone in my family has cut him off but her. after like 3 arguments about the program i enrolled anyways because my grandparents gave me money to pay for my enrollment and board fee which was like $500. but since i’m 17 they emailed her to confirm if i could go, luckily she was cooking so i just ran into her room and accepted it myself and deleted the email. Well the program starts june 11th and the whole week before that i was packing and slowly hiding things in my grandparents house until it was time for me to leave. Idk how but my mom found out and called the college to say she never signed the slip and that i would not be enrolled(keeping me from going to college) she then broke my computer saying that i won’t need it since i won’t be going to college anyways. I had called the college and there was nothing i could really do since i was a minor at the time , but 2 weeks ago i turned 18 and explained my situation to the college and they let me continue the program but said i’d have to pay for the flight down here myself. After that i called my grandma and had her come get me and the rest of my things. my mom was PISSED. she was screaming ,crying and yelling asking me how could i just abandon her with my brother after all she’s done for me, i still have the knot on my head from her tackling me and making me bang my head against our concrete stairs. my grandparents asked me if i wanted to press charges but honestly i just want to be away from her. she keeps texting me after what happened and said she’s going to sue me for emotional damage but that’s not likely since she can’t even afford to feed her family. i’m living with my grandparent now and i’ve never been more fed. i think i’ll get all my strength back before i leave my grandparents house. this is all honestly crazy for me because she’s never acted like this. this past year she’s been on a downwards spiral Tldr: Mom bashes my face into the ground and says she’s gonna sue me for emotional damage. Update 1 May 27, 2023 This most likely won’t be the last update but i wanted to tell you guys what happened and answer a few things i was messaged and things i saw. First i wanted to thank everyone for the nice comments, honestly after the year i had i definitely needed to hear the things to confirm i wasn’t crazy. I also wanted to thank you guys for pointing out the abuse i was going through, i guess i had convinced myself that the things happening weren’t severe enough to be considered abuse. The things you guys said made me really think of everything that has happened in my childhood and she was truly an abusive women. One memory i can think of off the top of my head is when i was 5 and my brother was 10 was her keeping a suitcase packed and whenever me and my brother upset her she’d leave for hours on end saying she was “tired” of us and “leaving” us. In all honesty before this post i just considered that a punishment. I also wanted to address a few comments and messages i saw. A few people spoke about me not fighting back but imagine having a 300+ pound women on your back, i was terrified if i’d moved she most likely break me in half. Even if i did fight back i’m 100% she’d body me in 5 seconds with superhuman strength. I also got comments about the doctor and why he didn’t alert cps, im pretty sure he thought it was likely i had an ed than being starved. The doctor i was attending was a family doctor so he’s been in the family for awhile. My weight wasn’t drastically underweight that it was dangerous, it was more so i dropped from 140 to 100 pounds in a short amount of time that he was concerned. Also saw a comment on tiktok about me being “spineless” for not pressing charges. You go get your ass beat by somebody twice your size and see if you want to see them again. I seen some comments about financial aid and other things but i don’t need anything like that. My grandfather has his own business and my grandma works for him so they have more than enough money. My dad is also an accountant so he also has enough money. Anyways for a sort of update: I read all you comments and took all your advice, so i told my grandparents exactly what happened while we were on a facetime call with my dad(he lives in the state of my college). My grandfather immediately told me to me we were going to press charges and my dad also advised me to get checked out by a doctor for any head injuries. So we made a report with the police and we are waiting to hear back from them i guess, idk i’m not that good with legal stuff. We also went to the doctor and they said i everything seemed to be fine but they did tell my grandparents to monitor me and if anything happens to come back immediately so i guess time will tell with that. I am no contact with my mom and i’ve officially gone no contact with my brother which really sucks because me and my brother was very close for such a long time until a year ago when his new gf moved in. In all honesty i saw him as my hero and it really hurts to see people change in an instance. Maybe i’m still in the after shock of the situation but i have real emotions for what happening. I’m not really sad about anything but i’m also a little glad this did happen because it truly showed me all those who cared for me. Also once my dad heard about the computer he sent me money to get a new one!! Really happy about that but i also want my mom to cough up the money for the other one, maybe i’ll go on a little shopping spree with it as reparations for giving me an ugly knot on my head. Also now that i think more about it, my brother and mom are really fucking fat for us to not have “enough” money for food. Seems like i wasn’t the only one holding out. Thanks for all the advice and for everyone giving me tough love and making me open my eyes to the abuse! I really appreciate all you guys and i hope all goes well in your life. You guys truly are good people. Update 2 June 4, 2023 Okay guys another update i didn’t think i would be making so soon lol. Good things first, i started seeing a therapist and it’s going very well! Everything for my college is finalized and i’m very happy. I’ve also made a lot of friends that’ll be going there through social media so i’m excited to meet them Now the other parts, i won’t be attending the summer program because for the past few days i’ve been having fainting spells and the doctors don’t know what’s causing it. They say it could be due to the head injury but it could be other factors as well so i’ll have to stay for the summer for further testing. I’m upset that i won’t be moving in when i wanted to but i’m happy i get to spend more time with my grandparents. On to other news, my mom was recently arrested but not for the reason you may be thinking. So since i’ve had fainting spells i haven’t been driving because it’s dangerous duh. I think two days ago i had went to get my protein water bottle out of my car when i seen my tires were completely slashed. All 4 tires cut and stabbed deep. My windows and door handles were also covered in shit, like real nasty brown shit. As i am a teen girl i won’t portray myself as some kind of saint and act like i’ve never been in drama , i immediately assumed it was someone from my high school or something which was also weird cause i haven’t really argued with anyone recently. I woke my grandparents up and we went to the neighbors house to get footage and as you can guess where this is going my mother was seen on footage driving past the house a few times before getting out of her car and ruining my car. Honestly i’m not even mad about my car anymore i just want to know where the hell she even got shit from. Like in the video it looked like she was using a diaper and as far as i know none of my relatives have young babies so who shitty diapers did she take? Like is it easy to obtain a shitty pamper? why would she even want to hold shitty pampers. I genuinely just want to ask her where did she ever get shitty diapers from. I stay up at night thinking about this because i’m genuinely so confused on how she got shitty diapers. Anyways. the cops arrested her pretty quick for damaging of property and trespassing and she’s waiting for someone to bail her out. Also my brother had come across the post and texted me about him never drinking my ensures and my mom having the packs of them in her closet. He apologized again but i honestly could not care less at the moment. This whole situation is harming my inner peace and i can not focus on them anymore. The thought of them being in the same state as me already messes with my energy. Even if he didn’t drink the insures and she stole them for fun i don’t care anymore, i’ve started using protein powder and it tastes way better anyways. My new macbook has arrived and it’s so much better than my last one. I think this’ll be my last update for awhile. To all the people who wanted me to update in a few months i will! You have all been such a help and when i’m thriving in college i’ll be sure to come back. Final Update July 14, 2023 (sorry for bad grammar guys i don’t feel like fixing) Hi everyone, since everything has been wrapped up and i’m still getting messages and comments i decided that you guys deserve this update more than anyone. I’m not sure if the people who saw my last post and updates will remember but if they do I want to thank all of you for your comments, messages and overall support. I’m not sure if i’m supposed to post this update here but i will so more of you guys can see this and my appreciation for you. Update on my mother is that she has been FINED and sentenced 2 years PROBATION and like some time on house arrest. Idk how she skipped out on jail time but hey. I’m typing this on my new phone looking at my new macbook that she had to pay for😘I also have a restraining order and if she breaks it in anyway then she’ll be in jail. essentially she’s been ostracized by everyone in our family and is now all alone, the one thing she didn’t want:) As for my personal update: My health is fine and the fainting spells was stress and my body getting used to getting so many nutrients i wasn’t used to. I have fallen back underweight but doctors said it’s normal and i’ve found better supplements and protein shakes that will help me build my strength. I’ve also accepted a different program from my school which was a program to go abroad for the summer . I’ve been in Korea for almost a month now and i can honestly say i love it here so much. I’ve made so many new friends and have been partying and exploring like crazy. I miss my family(not my mom) and i’ll be back in the states august 14th so i can have a week left with my family before i’m sent off to college. The new freedom and experiences i’ve gained is amazing. I thank all of you for showing me my worth and teaching me that i have a voice and that i should stick up for myself. This will be my last time posting here but if you want any personal updates feel free to message me anytime or check my page lol. I’ll be sure to talk all about my college experience Until next time submitted by
