It falls into the classic chunky dad shoe category, with a thick sole and a complex multi-layer construction that makes it instantly recognizable among luxury sneakers. Even though Dior has released many new models lately, the B22 is still one of the most popular entry-level sneakers for many people. Retail Dior B22 pairs usually cost around $1200+, and some colorways even go above that on resale, which is why many people start looking into reps. Important Note: The pairs I’m reviewing today are not top-quality batches. They are both budget options, aimed at people who don’t want to spend too much money. Since both pairs are cheap batches, instead of focusing on extremely detailed accuracy comparisons, I want to share my personal experience to help beginners choose a pair that won’t look obviously fake from a normal 2-meter social distance. This all-black colorway is one of the most classic B22 versions. With summer coming up, it’s actually a very versatile sneaker that can match many different outfits. If you’re currently looking for a pair of B22s, feel free to keep reading. Even if you’re planning to buy a more expensive batch, you can still use my review angles to check whether those pairs have the same flaws. If you notice any mistakes in this review, feel free to point them out and I’ll correct them. Price Seller 1: ￥280 + ￥0 shipping(~$41) Seller 2: ￥129 + ￥7 shipping(~$20 total) These prices are the base prices shown in the product links, and do not include agent fees or shipping. The final cost will depend on where you are located. Detailed Comparison Shape: The two pairs are actually different sizes. Seller 1 is EU40, while Seller 2 is EU42 (because I didn’t need two identical pairs, one of them is for my friend lol). Overall, Seller 1 looks rounder, while Seller 2 appears slimmer and longer. The difference is especially noticeable around the toe angle, where you can clearly see the shape variation between the two pairs. Color: Seller 1 shows a slightly more noticeable color difference between the sole and the upper materials. The sole on Seller 1 looks a bit more greyish, but the difference is actually quite small and hard to notice in normal lighting. Upper & Materials: The upper mainly consists of leather, mesh, and TPU structural pieces. Personally, I prefer Seller 2 here. The materials look more dimensional, and from a top-down view the overall shoe looks cleaner and more visually balanced. Mesh: At first glance there isn’t a huge difference, but after looking closer: Seller 1 has larger mesh holes, while Seller 2’s mesh pattern looks narrower and more elongated. DIOR Logo: The logos look exactly the same. They are probably sourced from the same factory. Tongue Patch: From the front view there isn’t much difference, but the tongue labels on both pairs are quite rough. The print quality isn’t very clear, the text placement is not centered, and there are quite a lot of loose threads, which is probably the biggest flaw here. Laces: Seller 1’s laces are thinner and feel tighter, while Seller 2’s laces are slightly thicker. Sole: Seller 2 has quite noticeable glue stains on the sole. Personally, this doesn’t bother me too much because no one is really staring at the bottom of my shoes, but it’s still something worth mentioning. Heel: There is a noticeable difference in the heel structure. From the side view, Seller 1 looks flatter, while Seller 2 has a smoother curve. However, the heel shape on Seller 2 is slightly crooked, which is definitely a downside. There is also a difference in the heel sole spacing: Seller 1 has a wider gap, while Seller 2 is narrower. Box: Both pairs come with the same basic budget shoe box. They do not include the retail Dior style packaging, which normally has the separated lid box and textured rigid cardboard. That said, Seller 1’s box arrived in slightly better condition. On Foot: Based on both my own experience and my friend’s feedback, the shoes fit fairly true to size. Seller 2 feels slightly tighter in the toe area, but if you size up it might become a bit too large. For everyday wear though, both pairs are totally fine for casual use. Final Thoughts Seller 1: 5/10 (score adjusted for the price) Seller 2: 7/10 (score adjusted for the price) The price difference between the two pairs is actually more than double. Considering the price-to-performance ratio, I would personally recommend Seller 2. It’s extremely cheap and doesn’t perform much worse overall. Seller 1 doesn’t really show a strong advantage despite being more expensive.
