Best Canister Steam Cleaners
Hey all Quick update from our side. Our team recently researched over 30 options of the steam cleaners to find out what to recommend. This post is focused on the canister type (though our work included other types as well:)) Before you buy a canister opion, here are a few things to consider: Water tank capacity A bigger tank means you can clean longer without having to stop and refill, which is great for large houses. Heat-up time Some machines take 10 to 12 minutes to get ready, while others are good to go in less than a minute. Think about how patient you are. Included accessories Different jobs need different tools. Make sure the unit comes with the right brushes and pads for your floors, grout, or car interior. Hose and cord length You want enough reach so you are not constantly unplugging the machine and moving it to a new outlet. Premium and High-End Options [Best Overall Premium] McCulloch MC185 - A powerhouse unit that holds a ton of water, giving you two hours of cleaning time. It comes with 23 attachments to handle any floor or car surface. [ Multi-Purpose Pick] Karcher SC3 Steam Cleaner - This one heats up in just 40 seconds, which is super fast. It is great for hard floors and features a system to stop limescale buildup. [ Mid-Range Choice] Dupray Neat Steam Cleaner - Super compact but packs a punch. It holds enough water for 50 minutes of cleaning and gets hot enough to easily lift stubborn dirt from grout and upholstery. Solid Mid-Range Choices [Best Value Option] McCulloch MC1275 - A heavy-duty machine that gives you 45 minutes of cleaning time. It has a lockable trigger so your hand will not get tired during long sessions. [ Portable Pick] McCulloch MC1270 - This model comes with a shoulder strap for easy carrying. It heats up in five minutes and is perfect for reaching tight spaces in cars or smaller rooms. [ Mid-Range] GOATCLEAN Heavy Duty Steam Cleaner 1500w (ST008) - A strong option that runs for 40 minutes. It has great reach with a combined 22 feet of cord and hose, plus plenty of brushes. Budget-Friendly Finds [Great Budget Portable] Slpgarimahqe Handheld Steam Cleaner for Home - An affordable choice that heats up in seconds. You get an hour of cleaning time and a display on the handle to easily adjust the steam levels. [Best Budget Canister] WSRYYCC Steam Cleaner (LEST-C2) - Very compact and budget-friendly for quick indoor or outdoor jobs. It gets hot extremely fast and includes 16 tools for scrubbing away grime. Hopefully this helps narrow it down for you. If you want more information or want to use filters to see other brands, different types, or budget ranges, check out the full research on our research page for canister steam cleaners. Dupray one steam cleaner won’t stop shooting steam
Was cleaning my bathroom with the dupray one steam cleaner and it non stop shoots steam out when I’m not pressing the trigger. Tried descaling with vinegar and I only use distilled water in it, but it still seems to have this problem submitted by /u/DependentAggressive5 to r/CleaningTips [link] [comments]

I Thought Steam Cleaners Were Overrated Until I Actually Used One
I never realized how useful a steam cleaner could be until I finally got one for my apartment. Deep cleaning used to feel exhausting because I had to scrub everything forever, especially bathroom tiles, kitchen grease, and those tiny corners that somehow collect dirt no matter what. What I like most is that it makes cleaning feel easier and weirdly satisfying. Seeing grime loosen up almost instantly with steam is honestly satisfying to watch. I also use way fewer chemical cleaners now, which makes the whole house feel fresher afterward. The small attachments have been the biggest surprise for me because they reach places I normally ignore completely. Window tracks, grout lines, around faucets, corners near the stove… all the annoying spots are finally manageable. Definitely one of those household tools I thought was unnecessary at first, but now I use it constantly. Has anyone else used a steam cleaner before? I’m curious what people use theirs for the most and whether you found it as helpful as I did. submitted by /u/TopWafer7468 to r/Cleaningandtidying [link] [comments]

Canadian steam cleaner
I have been looking for a steam cleaner through Canadian shops and most of the usual brands have mixed reviews. I was surprised to find that the car detailing sub-reddit recommends a Canadian-designed steam cleaner, Dupray. Edited to say I was surprised because I didn't know of any Canadian companies in this product area, not surprised it was recommended! submitted by /u/jabbytabby to r/BuyCanadian [link] [comments]

Dupray Neat Steam cleaner issue
I bought a Dupray neat from auction, it's not one that needs to be recalled, but I clearly don't have the receipt now so I have no warranty I can see When I turn it on, the light goes green very quickly (I read it's supposed to take around 8 mins but this doesn't) It makes the humming noise when I press the button on the nozzle The box heats up a bit I can feel a bit of warmth at the beginning of the pipe, maybe up to about half the pipe length at times But nothing comes out I tried descaling it once, some stuff came out I did it again, didn't notice anything come out Any idea what the issue could be? submitted by /u/Blade123222 to r/CleaningTips [link] [comments]

Dupray steam cleaner won’t turn on and apart of the recall related?
Hey yall so my cleaner will not turn on at all! I see that it is part of the cap recall as well. Would the cap cause it to not turn on?? I did the vinegar clean with no luck and I tried to unscrew it but couldn’t get the screws off.. definitely not buying from Duoray again! Not a cheap steamer! Any suggestions would be appreciated thanks! submitted by /u/WhisperingWooper to r/CleaningTips [link] [comments]

Best steam cleaner for oven grease and kitchen grime (finally replaced my spray habit)
I cook a lot. Like embarrassing amounts of roasting and braising for someone who lives alone in a studio in Portland. The downside is my oven looks like a crime scene every three weeks and I'm the one who has to deal with it. For years my routine was spray a can of Easy-Off in there at night and scrub it out in the morning. It worked but the whole apartment would reek for hours even with every window open. My neighbor knocked on my door once asking if something was burning. No man, just me trying to have a clean oven. That's the moment I started looking for something else. Tried the baking soda and vinegar paste thing that everyone recommends. Paste went on great. Came off like concrete. Spent more time chipping dried paste off the oven walls than I ever spent scrubbing grease. So that was a waste of a Saturday. A buddy of mine restores old motorcycles and he uses a steam cleaner to degrease engine parts. He brought it over one weekend and pointed it at the inside of my oven just to prove a point. The baked on stuff from three weeks of cooking just ran down the walls. I literally said "you're kidding me" out loud because I'd been scrubbing like an idiot this whole time. Ended up getting the Dupray Neat Steam Cleaner after doing my usual deep dive into which one was actually worth buying. It gets up to 275 degrees which is apparently what you need to actually break down carbonized grease instead of just moving it around. The triangle brush attachment is the one you want for ovens. Gets into the corners and along the door gasket where all the worst stuff hides. Whole process takes me about 10 minutes now and there's zero smell afterward. My girlfriend pointed out that the apartment doesn't reek of chemicals on cleaning day anymore which I didn't even think about but yeah she's right. Fair warning. The first time you use one of these you will have water everywhere. I soaked my kitchen floor because I didn't realize how much steam output you're dealing with. Took me about three uses to figure out the right distance and angle. Also it's not cordless so plan your outlet situation. If you only clean your oven once or twice a year then honestly a $5 can of Easy-Off is fine. But if you cook regularly and the inside of your oven makes you feel ashamed when someone opens it, the steam cleaner pays for itself fast just in time saved. TL;DR: Went from spraying chemicals and scrubbing overnight to pointing steam at it for 10 minutes. Buddy showed me his motorcycle degreaser trick and I felt dumb for not figuring this out years ago. submitted by /u/cyclingtrivialities2 to r/ProductProbe [link] [comments]

Dupray Steam cleaner stiffer nylon brush?
Recently got a Dupray Plus and I find the nylon brush is a little to soft for some jobs. However, I also don't want to use the wire brush on the surfaces to prevent marring. Does anyone know of a stiffer nylon brush available anywhere for this? Something similar to a high quality grill brushes? Thanks. submitted by /u/BacchusIX to r/CleaningTips [link] [comments]

Dupray NEAT steam cleaner, worth it?
I’m considering buying it to help ease cleaning a few different things that it purports to do well grout, hard flooring, light sweat stains on mattress and oven. Read a few reviews and it seems to work well, wondering if anyone has this and can attest to whether it actually works in real liefe situations on these items. The two priorities on that list would be cleaning white bathroom floor grout with coin tiles, ( I could smack the previous owner that did the reno); pink stuff worked really well a couple years ago with a drill, I resealed the grout with with constant daily use and walking its graying again in high traffic areas. Cleaning the oven, I hate this task with oven cleaner and would do it more regularly if this is a viable solution. Floors and fabrics would be a plus, but not the things we have trouble maintaining regularly. Thanks! submitted by /u/Weekly-Recognition-8 to r/CleaningTips [link] [comments]

The Best Steam Cleaner Right Now? Recommendation?
I’m looking for a great steam cleaner for home use something that’s powerful, easy to use, and actually makes cleaning faster and better. The options are wildly overwhelming with all the different models, attachments, tank sizes, and features out there. I’m open to splurging if it’s worth it, but I also want budget-friendly options that actually get the job done. I’ve seen a bunch of brands like Dupray, Bissell, McCulloch, Shark, and Wagner mentioned, but honestly I trust real experiences over ads. If you’ve tried one and loved it or regretted buying it I’d really appreciate the honest take. submitted by /u/MollyChase9091 to r/CleaningTips [link] [comments]

Suggest me a steam cleaner
My pest control will arrive tomorrow, but I don't think they are effective. Crossfire is not available in Canada, unfortunately. The only option left for me is "Harris Diatomaceous Earth Food Grade". Now I need a steam cleaner. I have chosen 3 steam cleaners, but I am not sure which one I should choose. Dupray NEAT Steam Cleaner with 17-Piece Kit BISSELL Little Green Proheat Portable Deep Cleaner BISSELL Steam Shot Or you can suggest a different one as well, whatever works best. I need to clean that carpet and clothes as well. Please suggest to me. submitted by /u/junayed1452 to r/Bedbugs [link] [comments]

Dupray neat plus steam cleaner
I just purchased this model. Love the feature of continuous fill during use. But is it normal for water to be dripping out of the tool where it connects? I looked through manual and it didnt have any tips, tricks or notes in the I able shooting for that. It was a bit annoying to have to clean the floor of all the water that dropped out after steaming the walls. submitted by /u/AbbreviationsRare401 to r/CleaningTips [link] [comments]

First time cleaning with Dupray Neat+ Steam Cleaner
Received my DuPray Neat+ today and attempted to use it's on bathroom tile grout with no pre-treatment. I used it for about 30 minutes on one side of my shower floor and I cannot tell a difference at all between the two. Is pre-treatment a must? I had back surgery so I'm not able to get down and wipe as I steam which I know is suggested but I did a a lot of research on it and that didn't seem to be a deal breaker. I am trying to not to be disappointed. As I did start with the hardest place in the house, I figured I would try something easier like baseboards and bathroom mirrors next. I would love to hear others experiences, suggestions, etc. I submitted by /u/HeroineLizzyJane to r/CleaningTips [link] [comments]

If you’re contemplating buying a steam cleaner, here is your sign!
I am due to have a big move soon, purchased the Kärcher C3 steam cleaner to help. We have a poor ventilation set up in our bathroom, so frequently get mouldy grout (it was already stained yellow-y before we moved in). Usually I have to scrub, scour, bleach frequently and takes an age. This… 20 seconds, gone! Best household cleaning purchase I have made in a long time! submitted by /u/ABPT89 to r/CleaningTips [link] [comments]
