What if Apple released braided cable EarPods (USB-C) — how many of you would buy them?
I was just thinking about this the other day — Apple’s been using braided cables on most of their newer stuff now, and honestly they hold up way better than the usual rubber ones. If they made braided USB-C EarPods, it’d fix the main issue I’ve had with them — the cable always ends up wearing out. Plus, you wouldn’t have to shell out for AirPods. They’re great, but honestly pretty expensive. I’d actually buy a pair just for that tbh. What about you guys? Would you still go for wired if they did this, or is everyone fully on wireless now? submitted by /u/ivishalpathak to r/airpods [link] [comments]

Ranking the best Earbuds for every single budget (Tier List)
Every now and often people ask for the "best" earbuds on here. There isn't a single best pair, BUT there are definitely some earbuds which you could consider the best value. I'm a huge sound enthusiast myself, so I decided to make a no-bullshit tier list with details about each. Oh also, I wrote this entirely myself! No SlopGPT used or anything. I've tried a lot of those over the years, so this post is mostly my personal opinion!! Also note that this tier list is based on VALUE aka bang for the buck. S Tier - best bang for the buck $199 - Apple AirPods Pro 3 are literally the best noise cancelling earbuds ever measured. If you don't have an iPhone, you'll miss out on a lot of their features, so keep that in mind. $79 - OnePlus Buds 4 - doesn't do anything amazing but does everything VERY well, which is honestly more useful day-to-day. $75 - The EarFun Air Pro 4+ are a VERY solid option for just $75. Long battery and sounds like something twice the price. Probably the most loved earbuds on this sub and for a reason lol. $49 - CMF Buds Pro 2 - there's a little dial on the case that controls volume and ANC and it's way more useful than it sounds. Great bass, good price, fun to use. A Tier - easy to recommend $249 - The Technics EAH-AZ100 are one of the best sounding earbuds i've come across, and the 10+ hour battery wipes the floor with every other flagship. if you care about music more than anything else, just get these. $79 - Soundcore Liberty 4 NC - the noise cancelling on these is insane for the price. They often go on sales so you can get them for even cheaper. $77 - Nothing Ear (2024) - sounds really clean and detailed if you're into that - it's not very bass-heavy though. $30 - JBL Vibe Beam - cheap, works, doesn't try to be anything it's not. Grab these if you just need something wireless and don't care about EQ or features. B Tier - good, but kinda expensive $298 - Sony WF-1000XM6 - the best do-everything earbuds if you're on Android - premium sound and tons of settings to mess with. They're quite expensive though. $249 - Beats Powerbeats Pro 2 - one of the best premium choices for any kind of sports or working out. Sound doesn't match price, but they won't fall off your ears. A cheaper alternative is the Soundcore Aerofit. C Tier - situational $249 - Sennheiser Momentum True Wireless 4 - those have some Sennheiser-specific problems if I remember correctly, only worth it if you actually notice the difference between good and great audio. $299 - Bose QuietComfort Ultra Earbuds (2nd Gen) - 6 hours of battery at this price is rough, and the sound is very bass-heavy which isn't for everyone. --- I'm mostly using the Technics nowadays though. I got used to them and they kinda work for everything. What do you guys use? submitted by /u/RubbyGT to r/Earbuds [link] [comments]

AITA for Connecting to the Ear Pod after my niece swallowed it to see if it would play in her stomach.
When my 3year old niece swallowed my sister’s left AirPod, everyone started worrying right away. I was trying to lighten the situation, so I connected the AirPod to my phone and put my ear on her stomach to check if I could hear it. Surprisingly, I actually did hear a little sound coming from inside her, which made the moment a bit funny for me. But the people around us didn’t really find it amusing. They all looked at me like I wasn’t taking things seriously at all. I was just trying to calm the mood, but instead I ended up being the only one laughing while everyone else was still stressing about the AirPod inside her. submitted by /u/reolives to r/AmItheAsshole [link] [comments]

Switch from AirPods to EarPods after 6 years.
After a lot of charging and connectivity problems, now one of my AirPods broke completely, I guess after it fell on the ground. No nerves anymore, so I got my hands on some old-school EarPods. If your AirPods Pro 2 are more than a year old, spend $10 on new ear tips from Apple (not the junk you see on Amazon). I just did this and it’s like my AirPods are brand-new again! Both the bass and noise cancelling are dramatically improved. submitted by /u/logicalvue to r/apple [link] [comments]

What’s with Gen Z/Alpha constant AirPod usage? While doing any task or even socializing I’ve seen AirPods in their ears.
My millennial self feels like it’s especially rude when you’re eating at a restaurant to have AirPods in while they’re dining with other people, family or friends. Maybe a real boomer take. [Edit] Want to clarify again - in a social setting for instance with family or friends at a restaurant. But I didn’t know about the AirPod hearing aid feature which is pretty neat. Menial tasks / gym / walking / office with headphones in is a given. submitted by /u/RenoNYC to r/NoStupidQuestions [link] [comments]

Do your AirPods Pro 2 come out like this when you pull them out of your ear, or just mine?
When I pull my AirPods Pro 2 out of my ear, they do this (attached picture). Does this happen to anyone else? Is this normal, or could it be related to the fit or how I’m using them? PS: They aren’t fake, got them from Apple themselves. submitted by /u/Zer0-Nebula to r/airpods [link] [comments]

Boss tried to take my AirPod out of my ear while on break…
As the title states, my boss (the owner of the company) was attempting to talk to me during my lunch break. I was watching tv on my phone. I was in the break room. I couldn’t hear him and I did not expect to be approached at all because I was on break. He then basically “rushed” at me and grabbed the end of my AirPod, attempting to pull it out of my ear. I quickly grabbed at it, paused my show and looked at him, bewildered. He then said “Sorry, lady, not trying to interrupt your lunch or anything BUT…” and then proceeded to ask me work questions, which I tried to dodge to no avail. I answered his questions and then turned back to my Netflix, covering my AirPod now with my hand, just in case he tried to do it again. How do I approach this situation with him? He owns the company and I don’t want to cause an issue or potentially lose my job. I also don’t know who HR is, but I have an inkling who it may be. I’m very disturbed by this and I feel so uncomfortable. Any help or advice would be appreciated. submitted by /u/Grouchy-Usual3546 to r/work [link] [comments]
