Eufy E20 baby monitor – gimbal freezes after ~24h, only reboot fixes it. Anyone else?
I’m seeing a consistent issue with my Eufy E20 baby monitor and wanted to check if others have the same problem. The gimbal (pan/tilt) becomes completely unresponsive after around 24 hours of normal use. When it happens: Camera stays online Live video continues to work But I cannot move the camera at all No response from the mobile app or the monitor unit Calibration also does not work The only way to recover is to reboot the camera, after which everything works normally again… until it freezes again later. Important details: Camera is always plugged into stable power Gimbal is rarely used (not constantly moving) No physical obstruction Issue is reproducible (roughly every ~24h) Latest firmware installed 2.2.3.7 I already tried: Rebooting (temporary fix only) Re-pairing the camera None of these fixed the root issue. Main concern is the gimbal freezing, since it requires manual reboot to recover. Has anyone else experienced this with the E20/E21 (or similar models)? Is this a known firmware issue or should I consider replacement? Any feedback appreciated. submitted by /u/heisenberg_pinkman to r/EufyCam [link] [comments]

eufy Baby Monitor E21 no white noise volume control
Anyone come acorss this issue where changing the white noise volume doesn't do anything on the monitor unit? Like changing it and the volume doesn't sync to the camera. VOX on the e21 baby monitor doesn’t seem to work very well
We have an older Eufy Spaceview Baby monitor and are very happy with it so we bought a e21 for our second child. When testing it I stumbled upon an issue with the VOX mode. With the space view monitor, you just set a threshold and when the room is louder than the threshold it’s triggers the display. With new E 21 it seems it makes a difference between loud noises and cry noises. Even with the sensitivity set to the highest the alert sometimes doesn’t trigger the display sometimes it takes two or three seconds other times it might take up to 1 minute or longer before it triggers the display. I tested it with normal talking in room, I tested while watching YouTube videos and I tested it with YouTube videos with crying baby noise. It was all very random. We can’t really rely on it now… Anyone experiencing these issues? submitted by /u/simohell_ to r/EufyCam [link] [comments]

Eufy E20/E21 baby monitor questions
Considering buying this system on Black Friday since it has a lot of nice features. Just wondering if someone can answer a few questions: I see lots of talk of connection issues. I thought this was on was supposed to prioritize wifi but fail over to the local connection if that went out. But does this not work reliably? It seems like if it loses connection, it doesn't alert you in any way? Is this also true of the local connection method? (My current monitor I'm replacing will loudly beep if it loses the signal) In the case of using multiple cameras, when it detects a loud noise, will the monitor switch to the camera it came from? Is there a way to adjust the amount of time before the screen goes back to sleep? Thanks in advance submitted by /u/rvH3Ah8zFtRX to r/EufyCam [link] [comments]

I love our Eufy E21 baby monitor. It has an app to view on your phone and it has an actual monitor. Then I got a stand for $25 on Amazon. I liked that it wasn’t as expensive as the nanit

Is motion detection a must for baby monitor?
Question about the E21 baby monitor We are switching from owlet cam to eufy e21 as we wanted a handheld parent unit and loved some of the other options. What I am wondering- my baby can wake up and lay peacefully in her bed. To figure out when she woke up, the owlet usually records movement and sound and we still use the sock (but planning on stopping as she’s 13m) and because she doesn’t cry, figuring out when she actually woke up can be a little tricky and takes some detective work. It looks like the eufy doesn’t have motion detection and won’t record moment clips but it does look like it can record entire night? Can I basically watch the entire nights recording and see when she actually woke up? Or is there another feature that I can use to see that? I wonder if I really need motion detection? I have it with the owlet but I don’t rest use it unless I’m trying to figure out when she woke up. submitted by /u/EquivalentCautious58 to r/NewParents [link] [comments]

Baby Monitor e21 firmware update fail
New parents here and not the most technically savvy. We bought the eufy baby monitor & have been using it just fine. But starting a few days ago, every day it goes off in the middle of the night and the camera in the room flashes bright red lights that often wakes our baby. On the video screen it says firmware update failed. On the app it says all firmware is up to date. I've turned everything off and on again. But it keeps happening every night, seemingly around 3am or so, which happens to also be when our baby wakes up, so it's annoying to deal with. Could someone who solved this issue walk through how you ended it like we are 5 year olds. Didn't realize we might have to be dropping and renaming files in a computer to keep a baby monitor working, as some threads imply... submitted by /u/Cultural_Bullfrog109 to r/EufyCam [link] [comments]

Baby Monitor - Eufy E21
Hey brains trust!! After some advice - we are now ready to buy a monitor for our 1 month year old baby. After lots of research we think we have settled on the eufy E21 but annoyingly the cot mount cannot be purchased in Australia. Has anyone found anything that works that maybe is universal? Or found a way to get one here. I’m also open to other cameras if you have suggestions. Budget is not a concern but needs a floor mount or cot mount. Baby Monitor Upgrade Rec for Continuous Recording
Hi! We are needing to upgrade our current 2 camera set up to a 3 camera set up and would like to add in 24/7 recording as our twins are medically complex and our current monitor has missed several events we would have liked to review if possible. Our wish list: 3+ cameras with feed cycling Continuous recording with 2+ days playback (SD card storage is a plus) Hi resolution night recording, monitor does not need to be (2K+ resolution preferred) Parent unit/monitor for local viewing WiFi viewing (one parent travels often for work) Our current set up is the Motorola PIP 2 camera and we have been fairly happy with it. Unfortunately it does not allow continuous recording and it will only record short events with a buffer period in between each one. We would have continued with this one adding a third monitor if our twins were not medically complex. We are trying the Eufy E21 and like it a lot so far but I just learned that it can't cycle cameras and only allows up to 2 connections! The picture quality is AMAZING though! submitted by /u/cakewedge to r/parentsofmultiples [link] [comments]

Baby Monitor Advice
Hello fellow Dads 🫡 I am a soon to be first time dad in November and have been doing some research I’m between 3 different baby monitors at 3 different price ranges. I’m currently looking at the Eufy E21, Babysense 5.5, and Phillips Avent. It seems like everybody hates their baby monitors or loves them a lot of the reviews seem to be 50/50 so Any advice would be great. Eufy e21 baby monitor constantly disconnecting
I’ve searched but can’t find much on this in the recent-ish past. I have the eufy e21 baby monitor and it is CONSTANTLY disconnecting (losing connection with the camera). There’s no warning sound when this happens so I’ll discover that it’s been disconnected for hours at night. It’s happening more in the past few weeks, now multiple times an hour. I have no idea how to even start troubleshooting this. It should be a local connection (not wi-fi) and I turned off Smart Connect (which uses wi-fi as a backup if there’s a poor local connection) without any improvement. My kid’s room is like 20 feet away from mine so the range should not be an issue. I’m ready to throw this thing out the window and invest in a whole new brand, which sucks because I bought it only - few months ago. Thoughts?? So grateful for any suggestions! submitted by /u/toddler_rage to r/EufyCam [link] [comments]

E21 baby monitor - lag in non-wifi mode
Hi all, I've been looking everywhere to see if someone has the same issue and couldn't find it, so here I am. I recently purchased the E21 to replace the spaceview. I noticed a lag in non-wifi mode of 2-3s which is not a lot, but just enough to drive me mad as I don't have a big house, so I kind of hear everything, but not synchronized. Never noticed this kind of delay with the spaceview, so I was wondering if it was my particular unit, or something more general. Tried to contact eufy customer service to know the answer, but they have not been helpful, so I'm trying to figure out if I'm keeping it or reverting back to my dear Spaceview. HYBRID MONITORS: Eufy E21 or ???
Hello! I am looking for recommendations or reviews for a HYBRID baby monitor - one that has a parent unit AND is WiFi enabled for use with a phone app. We already have a non-wifi unit at home so we are looking for something specifically to use for on the go/grandparents etc. Anyone have experiences with the Eufy they can share or another they recommend? Features that we’d love: 1. Remote moving/panning of camera is a must 2. Remote toggle between WiFi and parent unit, if possible - I don’t think the Eufy has this feature, it looks like the toggle is on the camera 3. Something that can be used by multiple app users at once (i.e. at least two caregivers can access the feed on their phones when the unit is in WiFi mode) 4. Multiple cameras/add on camera available 5. ANR (Noise reduction of white noise) 6. Movement/sound alerts a plus 7. Battery backup a plus submitted by /u/lrbsto to r/NewParents [link] [comments]

Monitor Help - Owlet Vs CuboAi Vs Eufy E21 (or other options)
Help me, I'm drowning! Looking for some actual real world advice on Baby Monitors as the reviews are so polarising & I've been agonising over this for way too long now & need to pull the trigger and buy something. Looking at the: Owlet Cam 2 (with or without the Sock) CuboAi (with or without the Sensor) Eufy E21 (with or without the additional Sock) So these my concerns from reading the reviews, if anyone can comment on this and give any feedback it would be really helpful. Eufy: App not so great A lot of features don't work without using the sock (sleep tracking, etc) Comes with the Parent Monitor screen. Doesn't come in a bundle with the sock, would be an additional purchase. Owlet Camera is glitchy, not great quality, disconnects a lot Inconsistent temperature, unreliable readings. Lag on the app. CuboAi Frustrating subscription to access the features that were originally free. Sensor Pad gives a lot of false information, can give reading when the baby isn't in bed. Camera has good features, such as face covering, roll-over, etc. I have also looked at the Sense-U brand, but the fact the Camera doesn't do room temp is off putting, so I took the brand from the list of potentials. Another options we have considered is just a Eufy indoor camera as we already have the Eufy HomeBase 3 for our outdoor security system & it something like the E30 or some of the Pan & Tilt cameras have AI crying detection features. Then we could just by a room temperature monitor. Even if we do some with one of these other monitors, I might still get a Eufy indoor camera anyway as a backup. Other brands in consideration: Lolipop & Nanit... submitted by /u/Camkb to r/BabyBumpsandBeyondAu [link] [comments]

Eufy Baby Monitor E21
Recently purchased 2x of these because of the mobile monitor screen. Easier than opening the app and finding the camera view. I feel like I’m pretty deep in the Eufy life, own like every single product ever. That being said this one perplexes me. there’s like not one position where the mount they provide works. The camera is so heavy because of the mobile battery it barely holds with the clamp tightened to the max. Am I the only one who is confused if this is supposed to be plugged in all the time. All the marketing shows no cord and I get it needs power but with the camera on a mount the cord just dangles everywhere, not the most organized system. Like a choking risk when the kids get bigger is my fear. I’m not 100p I’ll keep these but I do love eufy and everything about the brand just not this one. Change my mind, I want to keep it. Appreciate tips on how you’ve made it work for your little ones. TYSM; signed… overtired, struggling parents to our first. submitted by /u/Careful_Apricot520 to r/EufyCam [link] [comments]

Baby Monitor For Multiple Children: Harbor vs. Eufy E21 vs. Vava 8 Inch, Pros/Cons List from One Parent to Another
I will start out my pros and cons list by saying this: I am not affiliated with any of these brands in any way. I have simply spent a month (or more) trying to find the best baby monitor out there for multiple children. I have spent a lot of time speaking with both Harbor and Eufys customer service to iron out questions I have had about some of their features. I wanted to share my findings, as these are all relatively new monitors, and there are very little reviews out there, about the Harbor specifically. They are trying to get the word out about their monitors, I myself even received an email to spread the word with my own link to share. If you decide to go with the Harbor, please feel free to use my link to purchase here - That way I can earn money to be able to purchase this mystical $800+ monitor and update my findings with an unbiased opinion! I personally have purchased the Eufy E21 (has not arrived to my house yet, I purchased it on sale a few days ago) and I also own the Vava 8 inch, which I impulsively purchased at Walmart on one of their crazy baby clearance days for 50% off. Initially, when I began looking, the Harbor was the unit I REALLY wanted because of the wifi/non wifi options. However, with the new Eufy E21 out as a competitor, it was hard to justify the price. If any information that I have provided below is incorrect, or outdated, please let me know and I will update accordingly. I want this thread to help parents find the perfect unit! For those who are not familiar with the basics, the Harbor and Eufy E21 are both Wifi and Non Wifi Capable Monitors. The Vava 8 Inch (VA-IH020) is NON-WIFI ONLY. Harbor $599 ($824 when you purchase one additional camera) PROS: 1.) Split screen to see 4 cameras at once 2.) Works with and without wifi. Great for those with spotty wifi in babies rooms 3.) Receive failsafe alerts to your phone and monitor if camera disconnects 4.) Large 10 inch parent monitor unit 5.) App access to view cameras from phone 6.) Extensive app control for notification preferences and motion sensors. 7.) 2k camera viewing 8.) You can control the volume and zoom of each camera independently 9.) Wall mount included 10.) Has recording, not sure if it’s 24/7. I can’t find their manual online to get a lot of details like I was able to with the eufy! 11.) Has “smart audio” to customize audio notifications, but I’m not sure if they have noise reduction? I have seen videos of their app camera/notification customization, and the amount of things you can adjust on there is amazing. 12.) 10 inch monitor unit doubles as a digital picture frame. 13.) You can trade in your old monitor to receive either $100 or $200 back on your purchase 14.) The little reviews I have found on Harbor all seem to be glowing. 15.) They USED to have a monthly subscription, but it seems they have done away with that and include a lifetime subscription with the purchase of the monitor, hence the hefty price. Added to the pros list since there is no monthly subscription fee. 16.) Per their customer service, their monitor is very travel friendly. The camera comes with a twist off foot that mounts to your wall and also hides the cord. To take the camera with you, screw the camera off of the foot. 17.) Also straight from customer service, travel mode: when you power up the device outside of your home, the monitor auto detects lack of home wifi, and switches into the direct (non-wifi) mode. CONS of Harbor: 1.) PRICE. For monitor and 2 cameras, price is $824. This is $465 more than the Eufy E21 at $359 with the 2 camera bundle. 2.) Mixed reviews on night nanny service. Personally, I find this service useless as you can customize your notifications to your liking, so I don’t see how another notification from a person will help you (I don’t have this monitor so I haven’t actually tried this feature, this is just my initial thoughts on it) You do also have to pay for the service, it is not included in the lifetime subscription cost. 3.) I don’t think the cameras have a built in battery, so if power goes out you can’t see babies. 4.) No floor stand (if that matters to you, it doesn't to me, I screw my cameras on the wall) 5.) You can't choose between wifi and non wifi mode, like you can with the Eufy. However, according to customer service, they are actively working on an update to enable you to switch more easily between internet and non-internet modes to access the direct mode. FROM CUSTOMER SERVICE, RE: WIFI: In regard to wifi outages (should an outage occur in your home): If there’s an issue with the router, the system will try to reconnect to your home network. During this process, the Camera may reboot as a final step. After that, if the Monitor is within ~50 feet of the Camera, it should connect directly. We're working on extending this range, and the current reconnection process typically takes 5-7 minutes, with improvements planned to bring that down to 1-2 minutes in the coming months. In regard to an ISP Outage: If your internet provider goes down but the router is still running, the system will keep working as usual. You may receive a 'disconnect' notification, as our backend will detect the loss of connection with the camera logs. Eufy E21 - $259.99 ($359 for the 2 camera bundle on Amazon) PROS: 1.) Active noise reduction 2.) Alternates the sound every 5 seconds between the two cameras and you can see both babies at the same time 3.) If the power goes out the camera has a built in rechargeable battery, so you can still see baby 4.) 24/7 recording (for this feature I believe you have to have a c10 micro SD card (max 128gb) installed into the camera. I have ordered a sandisk extreme C10 128gb for my camera) 5.) Comes with a crib mount 6.) Sound alerts to our phones 7.) 4K HD 8.) Camera has a built in battery, if power goes out you can still see baby 9.) Apparently the night vision is wild, will update after I receive the unit I ordered. It’s SUPPOSED to arrive tomorrow 10.) Cameras LED light auto turns off in the dark 11.) Works with wifi and non wifi, so no problem if power goes out & since camera has built in battery 12.) 2 cameras and monitor bundle on Amazon is currently $359. 13.) User manual states you can connect up to 4 cameras to this monitor as well, however I’m not sure how many the split screen option shows at once. 14.) App access to view cameras from phone CONS of Eufy E21: 1.) From the reviews, it appears they are working out some kinks with the sound and other reported glitches 2.) Users have noted that the monitor doesn't play an active noise/alarm when monitor is dying or when/if camera disconnects, so you could possibly sleep through not being able to see or hear babies through the night without that alarm feature. 3.) Users have noted when you switch the wifi off, it doesn’t actually disconnect. Users have noted that Eufy support has said they are working on an update to this as well. 4.) I do not believe there is a floor stand. Not sure if pro or con of Eufy E21: 1.) User stated as a pro, but I see it as a con, monitor unit does not have a kickstand. However, it does have a charging base for it to sit upright on. I am also not sure if the Eufy requires a monthly subscription to use the app. I will provide updates when I receive the unit (set to arrive tomorrow) and begin playing with the app and setup. VAVA (VA-IH020) $259.99 ($369.98 total if you need two cameras) This monitor is your basic non-wifi baby monitor, so there are no fancy extra wifi features or app, which is absolutely fantastic if you are looking for a wifi-free monitor for multiple children. PROS: 1.) Large 8 inch monitor screen 2.) Split screen capability, up to 4 cameras. The sound between the rooms switches every 15 seconds, according to the user manual. 3.) Camera has loud alarms to alert you if baby is crying, can turn off alarms. Alarms you if camera is disconnected as well. 4.) Camera has "autopilot" mode, which scans the nursery if your baby is alone and playing independently. 5.) Monitor has kickstand 6.) I have read reviews that the parent monitor has a really long battery life. 7.) Easy setup. Camera was already paired. You just have to plug in and go! CONS: 1.) Customer service has been slow to respond to me (emailed them last week, they emailed me back to describe my issue, emailed them back same day, then they emailed me back just today to let me know they were on Lunar NY until Feb 4th.) Not sure how fast they usually respond outside of this. (The unit I purchased was faulty, the parent monitor dies quickly when not even in use) 2.) Does not come with any sort of screws to install camera on the wall, or mounts for crib, or a floor stand. 3.) Resolution is only 1080p HD, which is still better than the 720p baby monitors, but not nearly as good as Harbors 2K or Eufys 4K Some additional info on other monitors, Infant Optics DXR-8 Pro and Owlet Cam: With my first child, I purchased and still use the Infant Optics DXR-8 Pro. It has been a fabulous non-wifi baby monitor, with the exception of one hiccup. My unit was faulty and began acting up after a year of use. It would no longer connect to the camera. Customer service was helpful as it was a known issue and sent me a new unit and it's been working for the year since. Since I like to go outside while my baby naps, I did need a wifi option, and I purchased the Owlet cam for a longer range and to view baby on my phone. The Owlet cam has been trash for me, personally. You could NOT use that as your primary baby monitor, as the sound on my phone just cuts out and if I were asleep when that happened, I couldn't hear my son crying. On the other hand, I love the owlet sock for newborns! submitted by /u/NintendoNana to r/NewParents [link] [comments]

Cameras Compatible with Baby monitor E20/E21?
There is black friday sale on the E20/21 baby monitor. I was thinking of getting the E21. It says you can connect up to 3 additional cameras to it. Are any Eufy cams compatible with it? Was thinking of getting the S350. If not every camera is compatible, how do I find out which are? submitted by /u/harmar21 to r/EufyCam [link] [comments]
