Baby monitors for you
If you're shopping for a baby monitor but aren't sure which model fits your needs, take a look below, where I've rounded up the top options worth considering. Whether you want crystal-clear video with vitals tracking, a simple sound monitor with great range, or a portable wearable for peace of mind, there's a baby monitor here for you. Overall Video Monitor - Eufy S340 - A do-it-all baby monitor with the clearest images for night and day video. It includes a smart sock that tracks vitals like sleeping patterns, heart rate, and blood oxygen saturation, with a base station that alerts you if thresholds are passed. The sound activation feature keeps the monitor quiet just above ambient sound, and noise cancellation creates relative silence that can help parents fall asleep and stay asleep. A great choice for tech-savvy families. One-and-Done Monitor - Owlet Dream Duo 2 - Easily the only monitor you'd need to buy, no matter your monitoring goals. It includes a 1080p camera with better-than-average video, the quietest sound activation and noise cancellation features, and vitals and motion tracking via a sock sensor. A compelling option for those who find peace in knowing as much information as possible about their baby's experience and nursery environment. Budget - VTech DM1211 - A straightforward sound monitor with impressive range, making it suitable for larger homes or several walls between the nursery and parent unit. It includes a nursery component and two parent units. Easy to use with features like sound activation and sound filtering that increase overall usability. Perfect for families where less is more and extensive details could increase anxiety. Wearable Movement Monitor - Snuza Hero SE - A simple wearable that clips to your baby's diaper, monitoring movement indicative of breathing. Easy to use, portable, and had few false alarms during testing. Significantly cheaper than vitals tracking options and perfect for travel or pairing with a sound monitor of your choice. An economical solution to movement monitoring that provides peace of mind without breaking the bank. submitted by /u/ciatinale to r/Dads [link] [comments]

Eufy sock helped
Putting it out there if it helps anyone. I was starting to get really anxious and paranoid at 10 week pp. I could not sleep well at night and would wake up every 15 minsto check if baby was still breathing and also every time she would make a tiny sound. I have been feeing sooo much better since I got the Eufy baby monitoring sock. I know it’s not a medical device, don’t come at me. But it’s helped me subconsciously feel safe that if something was actually wtong by, the sock will alrm me. I am sleeping so much better since. Just in case it helps another struggling mama. submitted by /u/Commercial_Image5728 to r/Postpartum_Anxiety [link] [comments]

Baby monitor help
I'm trying to decide between the following baby monitors: - Eufy E20 and the Eufy baby sock Or - Momcozy B04 and the Eufy baby sock We considered the owlet but I read alot about false alarms and for the price I don't know if that's worth it. I like the idea of having the non-wifi option too. The Eufy baby sock seems to have some good reviews and I feel the combos above will give us the best of both worlds - sock technology with monitoring plus a non WiFi or WiFi version. I just can't decide between the Momcozy or Eufy monitor. submitted by /u/travelling_fairy123 to r/BabyBumps [link] [comments]

Baby monitor (eufy)
I am thinking of getting the eufy camera and also the eufy sock. From my understanding you can only view the camera on one phone, which is not great but it isn't that much of a problem to me. We have the vtech monitor camera currently, the cheap one. I hate it. It doesn't glitch anymore like it used to so much but we hardly ever use it now and hardly used it back when my daughter was little either. It always signs us out and no parent wants to sign into an account at 3am to view their baby. The parent counsel battery didn't even last its two hours it was supposed to. It always died and we stopped trying with it. It's not that we need a 10 hr battery on those but I do need a battery life that does go at least 3hrs id say as I am often alone and like the parent counsel for showering and for naps. I believe there is like a charger set up for the parent counsel as well that I would consider as no one wants to fight to plug in the counsel in the middle of the night, but mostly I don't have to worry about that as I sleep in the same room, I just am often by myself with baby and our 4yo. We also really love to go camping and so it would be truly wonderful to have a camera that I can take with and not need to connect to WiFi, from what I read eufy seems to not need that. It's not a must but it would be cool as it would be nice to sit on the porch and have baby in the ac this summer while taking naps. submitted by /u/One-Worldliness4825 to r/BabyBumpsandBeyondAu [link] [comments]

How to download baby monitor clips and data
Hello! We have the Eufy Baby Monitor2 with smart sock and I’m trying to download a video clip but can’t figure out how to do it. The SD card says it has data on it but the app says no events, even though sound detection is on. I’m not finding any setting to enable or disable recording either. Anyone know how to get to the videos? I’d also like to download the smart sock data if anybody knows if that’s possible, I can’t find that anywhere either. I tried doing chat with Eufy support but the person I talked to had virtually no grasp of the English language and kept telling me like to check my firewall settings and stuff. Completely unhelpful. submitted by /u/Rational-Pi to r/EufyCam [link] [comments]

Does anyone know if the Eufy Smart Sock works with the E21 Baby Monitor?
They sell the sock with a different camera, but there is no bundle with the E21, which appears to be newer and a hybrid monitor. I just want to know if I can see all the data and camera view from one app or if I habe to use two? submitted by /u/tweakerinc to r/EufyCam [link] [comments]

Help with choosing a Baby Monitor/ Camera, advice and regrets
Currently spending days looking into baby montiors. What did you chose and has it been good or bad? Everytime that I find a good product i see people complain about issues. We want to get the eufy baby sock so originally considered the combo with the camera, but it doesnt have a dedicated parent screen in the bundle, so I am now.looking at other options. Reliability is important to us obviously. Also looking for something that will give a decent alert when baby cries and that why i am steering more away from the app only options. submitted by /u/AddyStacks to r/BabyBumpsandBeyondAu [link] [comments]

Eufy Sock on Premie
Just wondering if anyone has had success with the Eufy Smart Sock for a premie baby? My daughter is 4.5 pounds and I would like to use a smart sock for peace of mind. Owelet does state that you have to be six pounds. I bought it when I was pregnant so gave it a go and it did not work at all on her foot. We got the Eufy sock now and when it works, it’s amazing BUT it only picks up metrics for a few hours at a time and then my app changes to “monitoring”, the sock placement indicator flashes in the base station and I get no data. Seems like a fit issue but I’m following directions exactly. Anyone have any tips for fitting the sock better or experience with this? submitted by /u/Automatic_Slide_2795 to r/BabyBumps [link] [comments]

Is motion detection a must for baby monitor?
Question about the E21 baby monitor We are switching from owlet cam to eufy e21 as we wanted a handheld parent unit and loved some of the other options. What I am wondering- my baby can wake up and lay peacefully in her bed. To figure out when she woke up, the owlet usually records movement and sound and we still use the sock (but planning on stopping as she’s 13m) and because she doesn’t cry, figuring out when she actually woke up can be a little tricky and takes some detective work. It looks like the eufy doesn’t have motion detection and won’t record moment clips but it does look like it can record entire night? Can I basically watch the entire nights recording and see when she actually woke up? Or is there another feature that I can use to see that? I wonder if I really need motion detection? I have it with the owlet but I don’t rest use it unless I’m trying to figure out when she woke up. submitted by /u/EquivalentCautious58 to r/NewParents [link] [comments]

Top Baby Monitors
The best baby monitors are chosen based on whether the parent prioritizes app-based smart features (Wi-Fi) or secure, dedicated local hardware (Non-Wi-Fi). Infant Optics DXR-8 PRO: Best Non-Wi-Fi Monitor Overall. This is the top pick for parents prioritizing security and simplicity over internet connectivity. It uses a secure, closed-circuit signal, eliminating Wi-Fi hacking concerns and latency issues. Key Feature: It has a unique interchangeable lens system, allowing users to swap lenses for a standard, wide-angle, or zoom view, offering flexibility without needing a cloud subscription. Nanit Pro Smart Baby Monitor: Best Wi-Fi Monitor & Sleep Tracking. A premium, app-based system that connects securely via Wi-Fi (using AES 256-bit encryption). It is beloved for its Advanced Sleep Tracking features, which provide data on breathing, time asleep, and sleep quality via the Nanit app. Key Feature: Its integrated Breathing Wear (band, sheet, or pajamas) tracks movement, offering unparalleled peace of mind, though advanced features require a subscription. Eufy SpaceView Pro / VAVA: Best Non-Wi-Fi Hybrid Alternative. These models offer the security of a direct, local connection (like Infant Optics) but often include a larger parent unit screen and features like remote pan/tilt/zoom. They are highly recommended for parents who want a large, dedicated screen without relying on a smartphone app or home Wi-Fi network. Owlet Dream Duo 2 (Dream Sock + Cam): Best for Vitals Tracking. This is the ultimate peace-of-mind system, as it combines a video monitor with the FDA-cleared Dream Sock, which tracks the baby’s heart rate and oxygen levels. Key Feature: Provides predictive sleep technology and real-time vital sign alerts directly to the parent's smartphone app. VTech VM819 / HelloBaby HB6550: Best Budget Options (Non-Wi-Fi). These models are the most affordable entry points, offering basic, reliable audio and 720p/HD video feeds with a dedicated parent unit. They are perfect for parents who want essential, simple monitoring (clear sound, basic video, long range) without the subscription costs or complex setup of smart monitors. submitted by /u/Defiant_Fix8658 to u/Defiant_Fix8658 [link] [comments]

IoT VLAN baby monitor
Hey All, I recently followed some VLAN setup videos from crosstalk and some forums and managed to create working VLANs. I am having an issue with the baby monitor and baby wearable sock where I can connect using the vendor Eufy app and “see” the sock and manage it but any data from the sock stays blank(does not update) bpm or spo2. Now if I connect to the IoT SSID the baby monitor and sock function normally, a solution is just to move the baby stuff into the main VLAN but I’d like to separate them. Below is my firewall zone rule for blocking from IoT VLAN to main VLAN, then I created a separate rule to allow my wifes and I phones to the IoT VLAN but this is were I am stuck not working. Like I said, everything else I can manage from main VLAN on my phone to IoT VLAN except the baby stuff. Thanks for any help. submitted by /u/UltraLeov to r/Ubiquiti [link] [comments]

Smart socks for newborns- Owlet vs Eufy (or any other brands you love)?
I’m preparing the last few things I need for my baby and as a first time mum I’d rather over prepare than under prepare. One of the things I’m seriously considering is a “smart sock” monitor (you know, the ones that track oxygen, heart rate, temperature, etc). In my research so far, two brands keep coming up: Owlet and Eufy. I’m big on “better safe than sorry”, so I’d love to hear your experiences with these devices (good or bad). Also, if there’s a brand you’d recommend over both of these, I want to hear about it. Here are some questions I have: -How often are false alarms? -Did the sock tend to slip off, lose contact or give unreliable readings if the baby moved around? -Did you feel more anxious checking the app or did it actually help you sleep? -Would you ever buy it again, or do you wish you didn’t? **** Also, I am aware many doctors say that while these devices can offer extra reassurance, they are not proven to prevent SIDS or serious health events for healthy infants. They’re more like a “bonus monitor,” not a substitute for safe sleep practices, regular checkups and parental intuition. submitted by /u/ButterflyRose143 to r/pregnant [link] [comments]

Should we get Eufy S320 smart socks?
Our preemie twins came home 3 weeks ago from the NICU and they’ve been on .5L of oxygen and the pulse oximeter monitors. The oxygen company says our insurance only pays for 2 sensors per baby per month. The NICU gave us a ton of those sensors and they go bad within 4 days. Twins are on their last sensors and it’s constant false alarms because of interference and not being able to read properly. Oxygen company said it’ll cost $250 out of pocket to get more sensors, I can’t find the ones we need online to order either. So I’m wondering if it’d be a good idea to just buy a couple of Eufy socks to use for daytime and try and save the sensors for night time use? Just to help make the sensors last longer. Also add, twins have not had an actual desat while they’ve been here, it’ll be the occasional newborn breath holding, or false alarms from the sensor acting wonky. submitted by /u/Living_Progress_1444 to r/NICUParents [link] [comments]

Monitor Help - Owlet Vs CuboAi Vs Eufy E21 (or other options)
Help me, I'm drowning! Looking for some actual real world advice on Baby Monitors as the reviews are so polarising & I've been agonising over this for way too long now & need to pull the trigger and buy something. Looking at the: Owlet Cam 2 (with or without the Sock) CuboAi (with or without the Sensor) Eufy E21 (with or without the additional Sock) So these my concerns from reading the reviews, if anyone can comment on this and give any feedback it would be really helpful. Eufy: App not so great A lot of features don't work without using the sock (sleep tracking, etc) Comes with the Parent Monitor screen. Doesn't come in a bundle with the sock, would be an additional purchase. Owlet Camera is glitchy, not great quality, disconnects a lot Inconsistent temperature, unreliable readings. Lag on the app. CuboAi Frustrating subscription to access the features that were originally free. Sensor Pad gives a lot of false information, can give reading when the baby isn't in bed. Camera has good features, such as face covering, roll-over, etc. I have also looked at the Sense-U brand, but the fact the Camera doesn't do room temp is off putting, so I took the brand from the list of potentials. Another options we have considered is just a Eufy indoor camera as we already have the Eufy HomeBase 3 for our outdoor security system & it something like the E30 or some of the Pan & Tilt cameras have AI crying detection features. Then we could just by a room temperature monitor. Even if we do some with one of these other monitors, I might still get a Eufy indoor camera anyway as a backup. Other brands in consideration: Lolipop & Nanit... submitted by /u/Camkb to r/BabyBumpsandBeyondAu [link] [comments]

Baby Monitor For Multiple Children: Harbor vs. Eufy E21 vs. Vava 8 Inch, Pros/Cons List from One Parent to Another
I will start out my pros and cons list by saying this: I am not affiliated with any of these brands in any way. I have simply spent a month (or more) trying to find the best baby monitor out there for multiple children. I have spent a lot of time speaking with both Harbor and Eufys customer service to iron out questions I have had about some of their features. I wanted to share my findings, as these are all relatively new monitors, and there are very little reviews out there, about the Harbor specifically. They are trying to get the word out about their monitors, I myself even received an email to spread the word with my own link to share. If you decide to go with the Harbor, please feel free to use my link to purchase here - That way I can earn money to be able to purchase this mystical $800+ monitor and update my findings with an unbiased opinion! I personally have purchased the Eufy E21 (has not arrived to my house yet, I purchased it on sale a few days ago) and I also own the Vava 8 inch, which I impulsively purchased at Walmart on one of their crazy baby clearance days for 50% off. Initially, when I began looking, the Harbor was the unit I REALLY wanted because of the wifi/non wifi options. However, with the new Eufy E21 out as a competitor, it was hard to justify the price. If any information that I have provided below is incorrect, or outdated, please let me know and I will update accordingly. I want this thread to help parents find the perfect unit! For those who are not familiar with the basics, the Harbor and Eufy E21 are both Wifi and Non Wifi Capable Monitors. The Vava 8 Inch (VA-IH020) is NON-WIFI ONLY. Harbor $599 ($824 when you purchase one additional camera) PROS: 1.) Split screen to see 4 cameras at once 2.) Works with and without wifi. Great for those with spotty wifi in babies rooms 3.) Receive failsafe alerts to your phone and monitor if camera disconnects 4.) Large 10 inch parent monitor unit 5.) App access to view cameras from phone 6.) Extensive app control for notification preferences and motion sensors. 7.) 2k camera viewing 8.) You can control the volume and zoom of each camera independently 9.) Wall mount included 10.) Has recording, not sure if it’s 24/7. I can’t find their manual online to get a lot of details like I was able to with the eufy! 11.) Has “smart audio” to customize audio notifications, but I’m not sure if they have noise reduction? I have seen videos of their app camera/notification customization, and the amount of things you can adjust on there is amazing. 12.) 10 inch monitor unit doubles as a digital picture frame. 13.) You can trade in your old monitor to receive either $100 or $200 back on your purchase 14.) The little reviews I have found on Harbor all seem to be glowing. 15.) They USED to have a monthly subscription, but it seems they have done away with that and include a lifetime subscription with the purchase of the monitor, hence the hefty price. Added to the pros list since there is no monthly subscription fee. 16.) Per their customer service, their monitor is very travel friendly. The camera comes with a twist off foot that mounts to your wall and also hides the cord. To take the camera with you, screw the camera off of the foot. 17.) Also straight from customer service, travel mode: when you power up the device outside of your home, the monitor auto detects lack of home wifi, and switches into the direct (non-wifi) mode. CONS of Harbor: 1.) PRICE. For monitor and 2 cameras, price is $824. This is $465 more than the Eufy E21 at $359 with the 2 camera bundle. 2.) Mixed reviews on night nanny service. Personally, I find this service useless as you can customize your notifications to your liking, so I don’t see how another notification from a person will help you (I don’t have this monitor so I haven’t actually tried this feature, this is just my initial thoughts on it) You do also have to pay for the service, it is not included in the lifetime subscription cost. 3.) I don’t think the cameras have a built in battery, so if power goes out you can’t see babies. 4.) No floor stand (if that matters to you, it doesn't to me, I screw my cameras on the wall) 5.) You can't choose between wifi and non wifi mode, like you can with the Eufy. However, according to customer service, they are actively working on an update to enable you to switch more easily between internet and non-internet modes to access the direct mode. FROM CUSTOMER SERVICE, RE: WIFI: In regard to wifi outages (should an outage occur in your home): If there’s an issue with the router, the system will try to reconnect to your home network. During this process, the Camera may reboot as a final step. After that, if the Monitor is within ~50 feet of the Camera, it should connect directly. We're working on extending this range, and the current reconnection process typically takes 5-7 minutes, with improvements planned to bring that down to 1-2 minutes in the coming months. In regard to an ISP Outage: If your internet provider goes down but the router is still running, the system will keep working as usual. You may receive a 'disconnect' notification, as our backend will detect the loss of connection with the camera logs. Eufy E21 - $259.99 ($359 for the 2 camera bundle on Amazon) PROS: 1.) Active noise reduction 2.) Alternates the sound every 5 seconds between the two cameras and you can see both babies at the same time 3.) If the power goes out the camera has a built in rechargeable battery, so you can still see baby 4.) 24/7 recording (for this feature I believe you have to have a c10 micro SD card (max 128gb) installed into the camera. I have ordered a sandisk extreme C10 128gb for my camera) 5.) Comes with a crib mount 6.) Sound alerts to our phones 7.) 4K HD 8.) Camera has a built in battery, if power goes out you can still see baby 9.) Apparently the night vision is wild, will update after I receive the unit I ordered. It’s SUPPOSED to arrive tomorrow 10.) Cameras LED light auto turns off in the dark 11.) Works with wifi and non wifi, so no problem if power goes out & since camera has built in battery 12.) 2 cameras and monitor bundle on Amazon is currently $359. 13.) User manual states you can connect up to 4 cameras to this monitor as well, however I’m not sure how many the split screen option shows at once. 14.) App access to view cameras from phone CONS of Eufy E21: 1.) From the reviews, it appears they are working out some kinks with the sound and other reported glitches 2.) Users have noted that the monitor doesn't play an active noise/alarm when monitor is dying or when/if camera disconnects, so you could possibly sleep through not being able to see or hear babies through the night without that alarm feature. 3.) Users have noted when you switch the wifi off, it doesn’t actually disconnect. Users have noted that Eufy support has said they are working on an update to this as well. 4.) I do not believe there is a floor stand. Not sure if pro or con of Eufy E21: 1.) User stated as a pro, but I see it as a con, monitor unit does not have a kickstand. However, it does have a charging base for it to sit upright on. I am also not sure if the Eufy requires a monthly subscription to use the app. I will provide updates when I receive the unit (set to arrive tomorrow) and begin playing with the app and setup. VAVA (VA-IH020) $259.99 ($369.98 total if you need two cameras) This monitor is your basic non-wifi baby monitor, so there are no fancy extra wifi features or app, which is absolutely fantastic if you are looking for a wifi-free monitor for multiple children. PROS: 1.) Large 8 inch monitor screen 2.) Split screen capability, up to 4 cameras. The sound between the rooms switches every 15 seconds, according to the user manual. 3.) Camera has loud alarms to alert you if baby is crying, can turn off alarms. Alarms you if camera is disconnected as well. 4.) Camera has "autopilot" mode, which scans the nursery if your baby is alone and playing independently. 5.) Monitor has kickstand 6.) I have read reviews that the parent monitor has a really long battery life. 7.) Easy setup. Camera was already paired. You just have to plug in and go! CONS: 1.) Customer service has been slow to respond to me (emailed them last week, they emailed me back to describe my issue, emailed them back same day, then they emailed me back just today to let me know they were on Lunar NY until Feb 4th.) Not sure how fast they usually respond outside of this. (The unit I purchased was faulty, the parent monitor dies quickly when not even in use) 2.) Does not come with any sort of screws to install camera on the wall, or mounts for crib, or a floor stand. 3.) Resolution is only 1080p HD, which is still better than the 720p baby monitors, but not nearly as good as Harbors 2K or Eufys 4K Some additional info on other monitors, Infant Optics DXR-8 Pro and Owlet Cam: With my first child, I purchased and still use the Infant Optics DXR-8 Pro. It has been a fabulous non-wifi baby monitor, with the exception of one hiccup. My unit was faulty and began acting up after a year of use. It would no longer connect to the camera. Customer service was helpful as it was a known issue and sent me a new unit and it's been working for the year since. Since I like to go outside while my baby naps, I did need a wifi option, and I purchased the Owlet cam for a longer range and to view baby on my phone. The Owlet cam has been trash for me, personally. You could NOT use that as your primary baby monitor, as the sound on my phone just cuts out and if I were asleep when that happened, I couldn't hear my son crying. On the other hand, I love the owlet sock for newborns! submitted by /u/NintendoNana to r/NewParents [link] [comments]

Recommended Baby Monitor (Non-Wifi)? ((Also Owlet is AWFUL))
First I just need to get this off my chest: The Owlet Camera is the biggest piece of shit and I want to Office Space smash it to pieces in the middle of a field. My husband & I HATE this thing. We didn't get the sock because of the mixed reviews (right before the FDA stepped in) but we decided to go with the camera. Might as well have thrown $150 into the fire place. I mean Owlet is so popular and shiny and advertised so hard to us. It constantly disconnects on us. We'll check it right before we put baby down and as soon as we step out of the room it fails. Our internet is fine and nothing else struggles to connect. To reset it the robot voice is so loud! When it does function it lags like 5-10 seconds and I've already heard baby through the wall if I'm nearby. The quality isn't even that good for how much money we spent. Also I found out I just hate using my phone as the viewing monitor ((Sometimes ya girl just wants to disassociate on TikTok for awhile...)) With that out of the way...Does anyone recommend a Baby Monitor that doesn't use Wifi and comes with a hand held device to show the video? Preferably from Amazon cause we got a gift card recently. Like I don't need crystal clear video but as long as I can see her & hear her that would be great! Thank you! Edit: WOW! I didn't think this was going to get this popular! Every time we woke up to feed baby I would just see more Upvotes and even better more Comments! Also thank you for the Rewards! I'm not entirely sure what they do but they look pretty! Haha! Also thank you for ALL the suggestions! Husband and I are going to pluck through them to see what will be the right fit. I hope this thread also helped others with their research on finding the perfect monitor that'll work for them! :-) I'm both happy and sad to read other people's problems with the Owlet. I'm happy to see it works for some people and I hope it continues to do so. Unfortunately we purchased ours about a month before she was born and it's now a little over 2 months of having it. We paid in cash and I lost the receipt (I probably threw it away) so I don't think Owlet would do anything to help. Considering it a expensive lesson learned. Cheers to ya'll and Happy Holidays! submitted by /u/TrulyOutrageous89 to r/beyondthebump [link] [comments]
