RE:Anyone notice changes in your body since baby?
The sweating and weird skin changes caught me off guard too. I had postpartum acne on my face and shoulders and nothing heavy was working. I switched to just a gentle spray (magic molecule) and moisturizer and that combo worked better than all the products I was layering. It’s basically just salt and water turned into something your body already makes, so it doesn’t irritate your skin.

A woman slightly older than I am remarked to me that I look younger than my age. She said be sure to use face moisturizer, so I do that twice a day. I use CeraVe because what do I know, probably all of them are equally good. I think moisurizer makes a difference not because of the one you chose but because you use it frequently.

Rapid aging due to grief.
TLDR: A compound grief has rapidly aged me, what can I do to look like myself again? In the last two years I’ve experienced a compound grief and I feel like it has aged me really harshly. The most important person in my life died followed by my fiance & partner of 6.5 years breaking up with me within a few months. I lost the two most important people in my life basically at the same time, moved into my ‘starting over’ apartment and I’ve been kind of drowning since. (Recently got into therapy, doing my best) I have a bulge under my left eye that has gotten so pronounced. As well as just the overall quality of my skin has really suffered. I feel like I look so harsh and distorted. I cry a lot and I have trouble sleeping, I know these are factors, but I eat really healthy, 80% Whole Foods, and I exercise regularly. Currently my skincare is oil cleanser, retinol eye cream, tretinoin, & moisturizer at night. In the AM, I just rinse my face with cold water, same eye cream and moisturizer, and SPF 50 sunblock. I’ve never tried any fillers, Botox, surgery, lasers etc. but I think I’m ready. Whatever the recommendation is I’m gonna have to save up for it, so don’t hold back haha. What would be the most bang for my buck? I don’t necessarily want to look younger, just like life hasn’t been as hard as it has. I’m 45 years old. Any advice appreciated, thanks in advance! First 3 photos are me right now, second three are me less than two years ago, just before my grandma died. I’ve been using tret/sunscreen the whole time. submitted by /u/07734tiza to r/40PlusSkinCare [link] [comments]

Orchid Face Wash & Moisturizer- my thoughts
Quick review of the new Orchid sensitive skin face wash and moisturizer. OMG I hope they never stop stocking this product! If you have sensitive skin or just like the idea of a less hard and fragrance free option this stuff is for you. Fave wash suds nicely and my face is soft afterwards. I’ve been using it as my morning wash since I double cleanse and serum the crud out of my face at night so I wanted something mild just to wash the residual from the night before and it’s perfect! No scent which is great. The moisturizer is AMAZING. I’ve been loving the first aid beauty and the working hands dupe and this one is just as good or even better! It’s thick, creamy and feels luxurious. I wouldn’t use it on my face as it is so much so it seems like overkill - but you know your skin so if you need a super super thick moisturizer for your face it may work for you. Only problem is the weird pump on the lid. It doesn’t open or work- could be just the one I opened but I just take the lid off and scoop. Please Dollar Tree. Keep making both of these! submitted by /u/Fancy-Elevator7342 to r/dollartreebeauty [link] [comments]

[PRODUCT REQUEST] No moisturizer helps this insane dryness on my face.
I do not currently have any kind of routine besides slathering on Cetaphil or Eucerin after a shower just to cover up the dryness. It comes back. I had a full fledged routine (AHAs, vitamin C, etc) years ago when I had very bad acne, but the acne cleared up and the dry skin never resolved, so I stopped wasting my time. I have this all over my face, on my forehead and by my lips. My eyebrows are always flaky. My skin everywhere is dry (scalp/hands included) and I don't know I don't drink enough water, so I'm trying to be better about that. What other reccomendations are out there? submitted by /u/SomewhereWeWentWrong to r/SkincareAddiction [link] [comments]

Best Face Moisturizer for Sensitive Skin. My Honest Review & Recommendation
Hi everyone, I have extremely sensitive skin. My skin gets red easily with temperature changes, and if I use a product that doesn’t suit me, I break out almost immediately. Especially products that feel like they clog my pores. In the past I used scrubs and peeling products regularly because I thought exfoliation would help. But it actually made the itching and dryness worse. Later I found out that scrubs and strong exfoliants are the worst for my skin. Recently I had a skin type test at a dermatology clinic, and they told me that I have widely distributed sebaceous glands across my entire T-zone. That explains why my T-zone becomes oily and shiny with just a slightly rich product, while my cheeks stay dry and flaky. It was honestly stressful not knowing how to manage both at the same time. I realized that most of my skin issues were caused by a damaged skin barrier. So I started looking for the best face moisturizer for sensitive skin based on very specific criteria. I wanted a product that: - Improves the skin barrier with consistent use - Maintains oil and moisture balance and keeps hydration even with one application - Can be used without irritation in any skin condition - Does not clog pores - Is fragrance-free I carefully selected 3 products and used each one until I finished the entire jar. - Illiyoon Ceramide Ato Cream - Dr. Althea 345 Relief Cream - COSRX Skin Barrier Moisturizer Honestly all three products were good in their own way. I realized that if you clearly understand your skin type, your current concerns, and what you expect from a product, you can find the best face moisturizer for sensitive skin for yourself. However the one I finally settled on was Illiyoon. My top priority was skin barrier protection, and this product matched that goal the best. It kept my sensitive and dry skin hydrated without irritation. Even with just one layer the dryness improved noticeably. The areas that used to get red and sting when my skin was dry felt much calmer and more comfortable. For me this truly became the best face moisturizer for sensitive skin. If you also have sensitive skin, struggle with extreme dryness, or even deal with oily yet acne-prone skin, I’d love to know if you’ve found your own best face moisturizer for sensitive skin. Please share your experience. My skin type is oily and sensitive. I live in a cold area. Current routine? mild foam cleanser, vitamin c serum, and moisturizer I'm reviewing. No complicated steps. Length of use before review is over 4 months. submitted by /u/ReasonableMango8798 to r/AsianBeauty [link] [comments]

Best winter face moisturizers I recommend
Now winter is coming, I hope this review helps anyone with oily but dehydrated skin, dry sensitive skin, or anyone who feels tightness right after washing their face. I have not seen many detailed moisturizer reviews on reddit yet, so it feels kind of fun and even a bit special to write this. I have oily skin but I am always told at esthetic clinics that my skin is dehydrated. When I do not sleep well or get stressed, I break out easily. I am not taking any acne medication. Here are the moisturizers I have tried recently : Aestura atobarrier 365 cream : I knew this cream was famous for a long time, but I never actually tried it until now. It has little capsules in it and applies really lightly. A lot of people compare it to Illiyoon, but to me it feels softer and more moisturizing.I think it works well when I’m tired or right before my period. Mary&may blackberry cream : I am a huge fan of the Mary&may serum, so I expected this cream and think to be thick and heavy. But the texture is actually like a hydrating gel cream with a lot of nourishment packed inside. When I apply it at night, I wake up with soft and hydrated skin. The texture is silky and spreads really nicely. If you expect a rich heavy cream, you might be disappointed, but if you want something lightweight and hydrating with a really full moisture feel, you will like this. Torriden dive in cream : I discovered this one through reddit because no one around me was using it. lol. It is super hydrating, but I think it suits summer a little more than winter for me. Still a great option if you want something light but moisturizing. Dear. Klairs midnight blue calming cream : I use this when my skin is irritated and I need a cream, not a serum. It does not break me out, but it also did not give me the strong calming effect I hoped for. I do not really feel much calming from it, but it is hydrating, and I still put it on when my skin reacts, maybe just because it is called the "calming cream" Illiyoon Ceramide Ato Concentrate Cream : I saw this one recommended a lot on reddit too, so I bought it. The texture is very similar to Aestura but a bit thicker, and it has small capsules inside. It feels very hydrating when applied, but the scent is not really my favorite. Still a solid moisturizing cream. Himalaya Cream : I used this a long time ago and it worked really well when I lived in a very dry country. But now that I live somewhere more humid, it clogs my pores and causes breakouts, so I only use it on my body. But back when I was in India, I used it every single day. Kiehl’s ultra facial cream : I only use this cream during winter. At first it felt too thick, so I did not reach for it often, but in really cold weather it actually helps a lot. It does not make me wake up feeling super moisturized, but it does keep my skin from losing moisture overnight. It has a slightly glossy finish, so some people might not like that, but I still think it is a good product. The only problem is the price. lol. Regardless of the season : mary&may, torriden Only winter : Illiyoon, Himalaya lighter texture : mary&may, torriden, dear.kliars thicker texture : atobarrier, Illiyoon, Himalaya, Kiehl Day routine : mary&may, torriden Night routine : everything I use mary&may in the morning, and at night I choose based on how my skin feels that day. I still get breakouts sometimes, but my skin has definitely become healthier. I hope you all find your own best products. Winter is coming! What is your holy grail winter face moisturizer ❄️❄️
Okay winter is coming and my skin needs help! What daily moisturizers do you absolutely SWEAR BY and love and use for the colder season, especially if you are a dry-skin bitch like me to keep your skin hydrated, calm and that is makeup friendly? Bonus points if it works well with tret! Trying to avoid the spooky lizard dry patches and redness that comes for me post halloween every goddamn year. Hit me with all the price points and recommendations, I want to go down a rabbit hole of options (would you want a spreadsheet to review? yes, I love data). Thank you!! I typically use: Day: CeraVe Moisturizing Daily Face Cream but she is NOT cutting for this colder weather and dry heat. Night: Kiehl's Ultra Facial Overnight Rehydrating Mask with 10.5% Squalane as a night cream which seems pretty good I sometimes add in rosehip oil or cosrx snail mucin but could stand to be more consistent. Other brands I've tried: Three Ships, Kiehl's daily moisturizer, Skinfix. ETA: DAMN YOU GUYS CAME THROUGH!!! Thank you so much

All tinted moisturizers roll up on my face?? Going crazy
I feel like I've tried everything but I know the people of reddit can help me. 40yo female. My skin is dry/normal. I wear makeup 1-2x a week, and when I do, I'd like a light coverage. I thought tinted moisturizer would be good for that. This has happened with Clinique moisture surge Shear tint hydrator, Neutrogena healthy skin anti-aging perfector, and Neutrogena radiant tinted Moisturizer. I thought maybe it was part of my routine, so I tried skipping each/all of those. Nothing changed when skipping daily SPF moisturizer (Aveeno), niacinamide (The Ordinary) or my Vitamin C (No 7 Radiance). I read that maybe it's because my skin was too dry, so today I made sure to be extra moisturized and even used some water on my fingers, which really seemed to work at first. But then by the time I get to where I'm really trying to rub it in, it starts rolling/pilling on me. The last picture of my eyebrows is crazy, I know- I don't usually rub it into my eyebrows but as I was trying to get the rest off it really shows how bad it was. Whenever this happens I have to wipe everything off with a washcloth and completely start over. Maybe I need to use a brush or sponge? Maybe tinted moisturizer is not for me? I also got some Maybelline Fit Me foundation to try later this week. submitted by /u/kascott76 to r/30PlusSkinCare [link] [comments]

Rating every Face Moisturizer (Updated) [Review]
Hi everyone! A little while ago, I posted a review of all of the moisturizers I tried over the years and since so many of you seemed to enjoy it (thank you again for all the love 🥹), I thought it was time for an updated version.(P.S: Price/Rating comparaison is on the last page). I received a ton of recommendations both in the comments and through private messages about moisturizers I should try next. I’ve added 10 new moisturizers that I’ve personally tested since then. For context, I test all products for at least 3 weeks, unless they cause a negative reaction (like irritation, breakouts…), in which case I stop using them. About me: I'm 27 F, I have combination/sensitive skin that is prone to breakouts. The most important for me in a moisturizer is that it keeps my skin moisturized (duh!) but with no heavy, greasy or oily finish, all at a reasonable price. Bonus points for: - Sits well under makeup (so that I don’t have to buy 2 different moisturizers). - Enjoyable texture. - Nice light scent (if any). - Cute & eco-responsible packaging. submitted by /u/emi518 to r/SkincareAddiction [link] [comments]

Looking for a face moisturizer that makes me feel rich and like I have my life together
My current face moisturizer is empty and I'm looking to upgrade. I usually use Neutrogena hydro boost gel cream daily, and strivectin super B barrier strengthening oil. I also like the ordinary +HA, it leaves a nice soft feeling after. I want to bump it up tho, I'm ready for a new moisturizer bracket. I want it to feel luxurious. I want it to make me feel like I have my shit together in life. I want it to save my marriage. I (35/M) financially take care of my girlfriend (35/F). Today, she wanted to buy moisturizing face masks, and I asked if she could pay for them herself. She got upset, saying it's an essential item, like toothpaste or toilet paper. Is this true?
My girlfriend has been out of work for a long time, and so I told her I can take care of her until she is in a better position. Recently, she has been finding some freelance work, and makes maybe $500 a month or so. I don't track her finances, but she doesn't handle any expenses outside of government taxes and such. I pay for food, housing supplies, pretty much any day-to-day expenses. As per the title, we were walking around the mall and she saw moisturizing face masks, and asked if I could get more for her. Previously, I had indulged her for these, but today I asked if she could pay for them herself. She was taken aback by this, and we went home. Later we had discussed it, and I told her that I'm happy to take care of her and I'm glad she appreciates what I do for her, but it would be helpful for me if she can handle some expenses by herself. She told me that I wouldn't understand this, but face masks are basically an essential item for women of her age, like toilet paper and toothpaste, and by denying that from her basically shows that I don't care about her well-being. Obviously I don't intend to make her feel that way, but I was surprised to hear of moisturizing face masks as an essential item. Though even if it were the case, I don't think it's unreasonable to ask her to handle even a small amount of expenses related to taking care of her, such as "cosmetic essential items" like face masks, skin care, makeup, etc., again, all of which she claims are essential. In the end, she begrudgingly agreed that she'll pay for her own face masks and other such care products, but she seemed quite upset towards me. I'm not sure how to handle this situation. submitted by /u/kthisgamesucks to r/relationship_advice [link] [comments]

Update
Hi sweet people, unfortunately i don’t have a huge update but it’s been a couple days. tomorrow will be a week since i have started antibiotics and steroids. it is SLOWLY getting better day by day. I did have to cave and wear makeup (that’s the only way i’ll leave the house) because my uncle passed away. since the medicine, there has been no new spots or burning anymore! i take keflex in the morning, after noon, and night time. i take the prednisone together in the morning. i completely cut out pop and candy (my addictions) and use cerave face wash and moisturizer along with tower 28 spray. this is not the pace i wanted it to heal at but thank God it is healing. I personally don’t see improvements but im very hard on myself BUT my family & friends do. I will update in a couple days. Thanks for following ❤️ (also if you have any advice to help it heal faster please let me know, without food dieting because i’m not doing that). [PSA] Counterfeit CeraVe Face Moisturizer on Amazon
TL;DR: Be careful when buying CeraVe products on Amazon. I purchased a bottle of the CeraVe PM Face Moisturizer a few months back and received a fake. Important context: this product was sold through the official CeraVe Amazon store, but fulfilled by a third party (WS Global). So, in hindsight, it is my fault for not making sure it was shipped and sold by Amazon - I will definitely be doing so going forward. The appearance of the fake bottle (on the right) was very similar to the genuine bottle (on the left). In comparison to the genuine bottle, the fake bottle was: - Slightly taller and slimmer - Had a low-quality (cheap feeling) nozzle - Washed out text in certain areas - Washed out “oil-free” label (the most noticeable difference) As a long time user of this lotion, I wasn’t able to tell it was fake until I actually applied it on my face (it was greasy, and not at all moisturizing). I’m glad I caught it early on, because who knows what ingredients are in this thing. I also created a review on Amazon describing the situation (very similar to the contents of this post), but it was swiftly rejected because it somehow violated the community guidelines. So, I’m posting here instead to try and spread some awareness. submitted by /u/DisgruntledYoda to r/SkincareAddiction [link] [comments]

AITAH for telling a friend that I would have dated my ex crush 5 years ago before she was a single mom, and that her face looks like it lost moisture?
I have always had a female friend and crush in college call her Cam. Our families were good friends as well. Now we did not click that much personality wise I was a huge nerd, and I just liked the idea of dating someone like her. We were friends throughout college but lost touch till recently. Cam and I are both 30. Cam also has 4 year old son. Recently we started being friends again mostly messaging and sending memes. I let her know early on that I wasn’t interested in dating when she flirted with me. She has asked me out a couple more times but I have turned her down. Well, recently I hung out with a guy friend in my home town who’s girlfriend is good friends with Cam. And he asked me why I don’t give Cam a shot.I told him that it’s not her, it’s just that I don’t want to be with someone that has a kid. I said that 5 years ago she was my ideal girl. But if I am having a kid I want it to be with someone who’s it’s also their first time having a kid. Like dating someone that has already been married before too would cheapen it for me. I said that I would like someone ideally 24-26.Then he asks me how would I rate her on a scale of 1 to 10. I was like I am not going to do that, I said that she is pretty fit for someone that has a kid. But face wise I feel like age has just made her look tired and drained the moisture from her face, which I understand as it must be a lot of effort raising a kid by yourself. I said this all really stupidly thinking it was just between us. However, the next day I got a FaceTime from Cam with her crying. I tried to apologize but she wasn’t having any of it. Now Cam, my friend and his girlfriend think of me as a giga asshole. submitted by /u/Turbulent_Stand_8019 to r/AITAH [link] [comments]
