I have been so stressed out. I got 4 of these planters and put them around my pool. Silly me planted majestic palms in these without know how freaking hard they are to maintain. Rhododendron ‘The Honorable Jean Marie De Montague’ ‘Jean Marie’, as it commonly called, is quite abundant in the Pacific Northwest gardens, for foundation garden plantings and specimen shrubs, and is in my opinion is probably the best Red,and possibly the highest rated. If you’re looking for a red you just can’t go wrong with this hybrid. It was the first one I bought in 1982 and it preforms well and usually without fail. It holds its color well and the foliage is a dark green. It also makes a great cut flower for the vase, as it is usually in bloom for Mother’s Day! Blooms: Abundant showy vibrant, scarlet-red, wavy-edged flowers, dome shaped trusses, with a slight, dark red spotting in throat, 3.125 “ across. When in full bloom it is a show stopper. Planting in masses it really is a Wow factor! Foliage: Rich dark green, leathery leaves that often have a distinct V-shape. Considered a vigorous grower, with a dense, mounding habit. Leaves are kept for three years, and often elliptic or oblanceolate make it look fuller. Winter foliage remains dark green. Dense habit. Performance: It is known for being sun-tolerant, but preforms best in part shade to dappled shade, protected from the hot afternoon sun. Hello Y'all, TL;DR - Invasive Bradfords removed/wanting native pollinator friendly full sun tolerant Tennessee trees in their place. Over the weekend I finally removed the four bradford pear trees from my front yard that the previous owner planted (I wish I took a before and after picture, but it did not even cross my mind). I am looking to replace those with some native pollinator friendly Tennessee species, flowering preferably, but that doesn't really matter as I'm going to amp up my whole yard this year with flowers. I originally wanted to do Eastern Redbuds and Flowering Dogwoods, but the more I read into them, it seems as though they will not be able to handle the full (7+) hour sun my front yard gets. I do not want any large trees like the White or Red oaks that make up my backyard. I'd say the total working area is over a quarter acre guessing. I saw Serviceberries might be a good option, but no where has them in stock. I am open to any suggestions! Hello, our frontyard receives full sun all day long and no plants that I plant in this area survives. Can somebody help me with a plant list. I live in the bay area. My door face the south. Picture 2 is the succulent garden that my dad has created. I'd like to make it at least cohesive because we don't want the property value to go down in case we need to move. I also would rather just throw in seeds than plant individual plants because it's such a big area but I'm open for other suggestions. I would like to know what kind of flower seeds can I actually throw around and still thrive in shade, and what kind of pathways would be the most economical and low maintenance? I'm not sure free woodchips would be great for pathways since it's sloped and if we get a lot of rain, it will just get washed out but I probably use for for the plant areas. Anyway, I don't even know where to start so I'm just here looking for suggestions and what to look out for when making shade gardens. It is a mysterious, liminal space between the body & mind, life & death. Very few people are capable of establishing a mental connection with the Wayob. It is not somewhere you can access by ordinary means. Under normal circumstances, only the consciousness can enter. There is a way to go there in person, however, the Night Kingdom will attempt to repel you. The concept of The NK is similar to Ley Lines. Staying there for a short period of time shouldn't have an effect on the person, but with the Abyss in the picture, your sense of self will be devoured until, eventually, you become one with the sea of souls. By creating something tangible in our world — like a net — you can establish a connection to a corresponding "concept" in the Night Kingdom. Essentially, you can use the "concept of a net" to catch something equally intangible — like an Ancient Name. There are 6 main totem poles representing the Wayob of each tribe. They are like the "body" of each Wayob. Additional totem poles serve as proxies to which the Wayob can extend their consciousness. There are countless proxies scattered around the Night Kingdom. Through them, the Wayob can extend their consciousness over the entire realm & track down souls no matter where they roam. If a proxy were to become severely contaminated, then a soul could become lost within the Night Kingdom. The looming destruction is not a recent development, but the inevitable conclusion of the disaster the Abyss initiated 500 years ago. After the war, calculations estimated that only a maximum of 500 years could pass before the NK was completely lost to the Abyss. The Archon had a long and involved discussion with the heroes of each tribe, & finally came up with a 500 year plan to save Natlan. If the Natlan of the future was to have a fighting chance, the Pyro Archons that came after the war had to rebuild the decimated tribes. Goal was to reunite the people & restore the strength of each tribe's Wayob. Then the tribe's Wayob would select a "hero," indicating the tribe was once again ready for war. Each tribe was supposed to have been fully restored by the time Mavuika awoke. The 6 heroes successfully inherited the Ancient Names from five hundred years ago, but the intel regarding the plan wasn't passed on to them. To unblock that information from being passed on, the Ancient Name bearer must establish a greater connection to their Name. Two people have not been acknowledged by their name yet, one from the Flower-Feather Clan and one from the Masters of the Night-Wind. The plan cannot start until all the heroes have been gathered. Their "time" has yet to come. Putting pressure on them beforehand will only hinder their development.
