Why is Gas Weed Eater trending?

1
Power and Performance
Gas weed eaters are known for their powerful engines, which allow them to tackle tough weeds and thick grass more effectively than electric models. This makes them ideal for larger yards and professional landscaping.
2
Portability
Unlike electric weed eaters that require a power outlet or extension cord, gas weed eaters offer greater mobility. Users can operate them anywhere without being tethered to a power source, making them convenient for large or remote areas.
3
Longer Run Time
Gas-powered models typically have a longer run time compared to battery-operated trimmers. Users can refill the gas tank and continue working without waiting for batteries to recharge, making them suitable for extended landscaping tasks.
4
Durability and Longevity
Gas weed eaters are often built with more robust materials and components, which can lead to a longer lifespan compared to electric models. This durability makes them a preferred choice for professional landscapers and homeowners with extensive yards.
5
Versatility
Many gas weed eaters come with interchangeable attachments, allowing them to be used for various tasks such as edging, pruning, and even blowing leaves. This versatility makes them a valuable tool for maintaining outdoor spaces.

Hello. Cork gasket on the gas cap for model ES30 Ryobi corrodes every couple years. I can’t find replacement gaskets and am forced to buy a new gas cap. RE:Rec 90 vs Premium
the one time you really save is when you use gas that goes bad quickly(ethanol gas) and let it go bad and mess up your whole fuel system. then the cost will hit you in the head. for most it wont happen, till it happens. many have it happen to their chain saw, lawn motor, weed eater etc. and cost to fix is as much as throwing it away and getting new.

Air pushing out carb when turning the flywheel on a weed eater
I inherited this craftsman 4 cycle 30cc weed eater from my dad who generally takes good care of his tools. The only issue that I found was the fuel lines were rotten so I replaced all the lines and cleaned the carb, changed the spark plug and made sure the primer bulb was connected and working properly. I tried to turn the engine, sprayed it with starter fluid, put a drop of gas in spark plug. Nothing I dove deeper and checked the valves to make sure they're not stuck, sprayed carb cleaner in the intake. Did I make a mistake and put sometime on backwards when I cleaned the carb? I feel like I put it all back together correct? submitted by /u/pawlesome to r/smallengines [link] [comments]

Weed Eater
My mom's house has some places that need wacked down every now and then. We got her an electric weed eater but they're so damn top heavy it's awful for her to hold. I want to get her a gas one that's pretty light and possibly has an electric start since it will be easier for her? Are there any options for this? Weed eater will not start
Someone give me a weed eater to work on. Im pretty good with atvs and stuff like that, and have always been known to be pretty mechanically inclined. This is about to make me backflip off of Everest. It was a simple fuel delivery issue. Went ahead and cleaned the carb. Cleaned the spark arrestor. I put it all back together and it ran full throttle like it hadn't before, because the carb wasn't actually dirty so I took the fuel filter off. I figured the line was only sucking some gas before floating up. Today I went ahead to do a full thing just to pinpoint the filter. I replaced the black diaphragm with one from another carb because I ripped some of the gasket. Put new fuel lines, blew out the air filter and fuel filter. And now? Nothing. Starting fluid does nothing. I've got it to hit once or twice. Primer bulb is full of fuel. Already determined its not flooded. It wont run AT ALL. What the hell is going on. submitted by /u/SwayzeFitness to r/smallengines [link] [comments]

Straight gas in a weed eater
So I recently did some yard work for someone and she gave me gas to put in the weed eater she assumed it takes the same kind of gas as a car and I didn’t think anything of the gas can she handed me. So I managed to weed eat for 3 hours straight with regular gas not mixed. It would randomly start dying if I let of the throttle and I couldn’t figure out why and it dawned on me that gas prolly wasn’t mixed. So I’m just curious what happens when you don’t use mixed gas in a weed eater cuz it’s obviously bad for it and by the time I finished I couldn’t even start it and it sounded horrible. submitted by /u/LankyDrop5147 to r/smallengines [link] [comments]

We didn't know that a weed eater needed mixed gas and now it won't start. we ran it for about 45 minutes yesterday then when we turned it off and tried to start it again, it wouldn't start.
