Why is Genderfluid trending?

1
Increased Visibility and Acceptance
As society becomes more accepting of diverse gender identities, more individuals are feeling comfortable expressing their genderfluid identity. This has led to increased visibility and awareness of genderfluidity.
2
Rejecting the Gender Binary
Genderfluidity challenges the traditional gender binary of male and female, and allows individuals to express their gender in a way that feels authentic to them. This rejection of the gender binary is appealing to many individuals who feel restricted by traditional gender roles.
3
Intersectionality
Genderfluidity intersects with other aspects of identity, such as race, ethnicity, and sexuality. This intersectionality allows for a more nuanced understanding of gender and identity.
4
Social Media
Social media has played a significant role in the visibility and acceptance of genderfluidity. Platforms like Instagram and TikTok have allowed individuals to share their experiences and connect with others who share their identity.
5
Gender-Inclusive Language
The use of gender-inclusive language, such as they/them pronouns, has become more common and accepted. This has made it easier for genderfluid individuals to express their identity and feel seen and validated.

Look I’m not homophobic, transphobic or any phobia.I respect the lgbtq community and I watch a lot of people who are part of said community, but what is the point of making slasher genderfluid?
Like with characters like 1x it makes sense since he’s a 4th dimensional being and other characters like noob and sixer,BUT SLASHER?He was already shown to be a guy and was ment to be a replacement for Jason, making him gender fluid makes no sense.Im not part of the lgbt community im just a normal straight guy but even people part of the community would agree on this. There more sexuality representation that aren’t just genderfluid yet forsaken never represents them. This feels like forced representation to me. submitted by /u/Firm-Reputation7918 to r/AntiForsaken [link] [comments]

Both leads seem to be genderfluid [The Peaceful Life Of A Maid Who Hides Her Power And Enjoys It]
It's definitely giving me this impression and I hope it's the case in the novel. Daisy was born as a girl, but used magic to take her brother's place (he has already passed away). She ended up changing her body with magic and lived as a man, Andert, until his death. Then she woke up 4 years later, in her original body. The reason I think the author is writing them as genderfluid is because they doesn't feel weird being a woman, nor a man. No body dysmorphia or struggle. In fact the moment MC accepts that Angert and Daisy are both themselves, and not to shun any part of their history and persona, they reach " unity of body and soul" Also, for plot reason, the two MC (bluehaired gardener-cook called "Lu", definitely the love interest and our MC) are going to an event, infiltrated under fake persona. Lu changes with magic his body as a woman's (the redhaired lady) and our maid gets transformed into a blondhaired man. They pose as a married couple More than the art, which is exquisite (and a bluehaired golden eyed love interest omg) and someone already psoted on this sub, I really love that we may have a queer character, let alone two as leads. It's still too early to know (unless you read the novel, which I didn't) since we are at chap 19, and while they may never put any label on themselves, I nonetheless see them as of now as queer and genderfluid and I'm happy with more representation in media. submitted by /u/Jasminary2 to r/OtomeIsekai [link] [comments]

I (19F) am no longer attracted to my partner (19NB/M) after they have come out as trasmasc/genderfluid.
I (19/f) feel like an awful person because I love my partner (19/nb+m) so much but this turn of events really has me conflicted. I'm a lesbian and have been out for a long time and my partner of two years told me this week that they're not a girl, that they're transmasc/genderfluid. I know that there are butch and trasnmasc lesbian identities and I'm attracted to that, but my partner has expressed a desire to identify more as a man and I'm just not attracted to anything masculine. They want to cut their hair, bind their chest and get top surgery, and use he/him pronouns. Even though i've been outwardly supportive of everything because I know this is a delicate matter and a huge step, internally I'm a little upset. This person who I love is identifying as something that I'm not attracted to and I feel AWFUL. Of course I'll fully support their transition in any way I can, but I don't know how to feel romantically towards them anymore. I'm not transphobic and have been an advocate for the trans community for years, and I feel like breaking up or expressing how I'm feeling would be transphobic. I really don't want to hurt my partner's feeling in such a huge point in their life, and we have known each other for so long that I worry expressing my feelings would destroy not only our relationship but our friendship. I just have no idea what to do. I like women and feminine people, and I love my partner for who they are, just not their gender. I just need to know how to handle this without anybody getting hurt. submitted by /u/OkEquipment7564 to r/Advice [link] [comments]

As a genderfluid mess, I wanna see what y'all got
If it helps at all, most of these are from various stuff I do, between vampire and werewolf LARPing, to my season as a scare actor! The punk look was for my masc vampire character, the hair down creepy look (both the purple coat one and the one with the plague doctor pin) for my femme vampire character, and the mostly hair tied up goth look for my femme werewolf character. The jester outfit originally was a Ren Fair outfit I made that they loved the idea of me reusing for my scare acting job. And other than that I think it's just random selfies! Wtf do genderfluid people do?
I am not sure, wether I am 24/7 trans girl or genderfluid. Or, well, cis and just in touch with my feminine side. Now, if I was a girl or a femboy, that would be one thing. I have an idea how those work. But what if I am genderfluid? Like, how to genderfluid transition? They can't just switch between looking like Gimli and looking like Fiona in Shrek 4 on the push of a button. Do they use neutral names or does it switch with their gender? How do they clothes? submitted by /u/Neurospicy_Nightowl to r/asktransgender [link] [comments]

Why do people say that genderfluid isn't a real thing?
I was reading some posts from people saying that genderfluidity isn't a real thing (I'm questioning being genderfluid) so that I could laugh at the transphobes, and I stupidly didn't remember that I'm very quick to follow other people's opinions, and I started to think, "Genderfluid isn't a real thing! It's just people dressing up differently and chaiming they are another gender! Your gender can't change!", even though I know that that's not true because I have experienced gender dysphoria some days and definitely feel like a gender other than a girl! I got sidetracked, but why do some people say that genderfluidity isn't a real thing? submitted by /u/Musical_Lover-1 to r/lgbt [link] [comments]

Being genderfluid kinda sucks actually
Well in my personal view of my gender at least. I wish my gender was stable and I could make transition decisions but I keep going from liking my voice to absolutely hating it. I think about wanting to go on testosterone for like a month or two and I’d absolutely kill to get my hands on some hormones and after that I’m like “why would I do this? I love how I am!” and this keeps happening over and over again. At least I know for sure I want top surgery. I’m waiting to hear back from the clinic and have some papers to fill but I really want it. But I don’t know… I don’t pass as a guy and in a very gendered world that means I look like a girl automatically. There is something about me that makes people think I’m a girl despite most everyone I know telling me I am perfectly androgynous. I don’t really know what I want anymore because physical and social dysphoria are mixing together and my gender changes and fluctuates. I have no idea what my ideal look would be anymore like… do I want to look like a feminine guy? Look like how I am but with slightly longer hair? Am I fine with my voice or would I want it deeper? I really have no idea anymore. I wish I could have shapeshifting powers, all my problems would be solved. submitted by /u/Tangled_Clouds to r/NonBinary [link] [comments]
