Superblast 3 is everything that it’s predecessors were not and should’ve been
After five months on the sideline due to health issues, I’m finally lacing up again. I’ve gained 40 lbs during the break, so I’m coming back heavier and slower than before. My Stats: 5’7” | 225 lbs | HM: 2:45 | 5K: 32:39 | 10K: 54:00 I sit firmly on the relaxed end of the pace spectrum, and I put the Superblast 3 through its first test on a quick 5K at my local park. Sizing True to size in Men’s 9.5. Upper — 3/5 My one gripe. The tongue still doesn’t feel quite right, and the laces loosened up mid-run — enough that I had to stop and retie. That said, breathability felt solid, the toe box is generously roomy, and it didn’t have that snug, locked-down feel of the Megablast. I’m not overly fussy about uppers, so it’s not a dealbreaker, but it’s worth flagging. Midsole — 5/5 This is where the shoe earns its keep. The foam compresses beautifully underfoot — especially noticeable on the uphills — and snaps back almost instantly. You can actually feel it returning energy with each stride, giving you a subtle but real lift off the ground. At easy warm-up paces it felt planted and stable, with no ankle wobble whatsoever — noticeably more composed than the Evo SL at slower speeds. When I opened up to 5K effort, the geometry didn’t fight me. The shoe wanted to move fast. Outsole — 4/5 Performed well given the conditions — a short, hilly loop on a wet day. Confident through corners, no slipping, nothing concerning. A longer test will tell more, but the early signs are good. How It Compares Adidas Evo SL — A shoe I’ve loved and run two pairs through. The SB3 matches it on midsole feel and holds its own at tempo pace. The SL gets a little squirrelly at slower paces; the SB3 is more forgiving there. ∙ Superblast 2 — Wanted to love it. Couldn’t. Slappy, stiff, and clunky. Picking up the pace helped slightly, but it never clicked for me. ∙ Adidas Prime X3 Strung — My race day shoe and personal favorite series. Lightstrike 2.0 foam is genuinely hard to beat. The PMX3’s rocker and more aggressive midsole geometry put it in a different category. If budget allows, get the PMX. ∙ Hoka Cielo X1 OG — The bounciest shoe I’ve ever run in. The SB3 brought that memory back, but it’s not quite at that level. Few shoes are. ∙ Adidas Megablast — I enjoy the Megablast despite its snug toe box. The SB3 is softer and bouncier, though the Megablast’s firmer ride does help with snapping into a quicker turnover. Verdict The Superblast 3 is a genuinely great shoe, and I have zero regrets. It’s stable enough for easy days, responsive enough for tempo work, and comfortable right out of the box. My goal is 250–300 miles in this pair by end of spring. On my radar next: Adidas Hyperboost Edge and Rad UFO. submitted by /u/Poke-Tuna to r/RunningShoeGeeks [link] [comments]

Need help converting Hoka’s woman shoe size to men’s size
Hi all, i would like help figuring out my brother’s shoe size. A long time ago I accidentally bought him the Hoka Mach 6 in size 10 D (wide). They actually fit him great and we never noticed for a year straight! Now Im really confused about what his actual size is in the men’s section. What would be his sizing in men’s? Would it go up in size? submitted by /u/Ok_Upstairs_3819 to r/beginnerrunning [link] [comments]

Men’s Size 15 Wide Shoes?
I’ve been wearing Hoka Bondi for the past couple years and they are completely falling apart now. It’s time to either replace them or find other options. I was hoping to spend less than the $180 that these Hokas cost me. I have HR in my big left toe and need size 15 wide (or double wide if possible). So far Hoka are the only shoes I’ve found that I can walk normally and comfortably with but they are also the first shoe I tried since my diagnosis. I haven’t tried other brands. Hokas even run narrow even with double wide so it would be great to find something that has the same benefit but isn’t so inherently narrow. [WTS] Men's Hoka Speedgoat 5, men's size 11, 2E
SOLD Photos: https://imgur.com/a/ueLD4kk 2 pair of Hoka Speedgoat 5. Men's size 11, width 2E (wide). Color is blue/orange. Each shoe is 11.1 ounces. $55 each including shipping in CONUS. $100 for both, including shipping. These are new, unused. But I did make two modifications 1) each shoe has a piece of velcro on the back (visible in the 2nd photo) for gaiter attachment. It's the non-sticky side of the velcro, so it won't do anything to your pants. And 2) the sides of a different pair (not for sale here) of the same shoe were rubbing my ankles, so I cut off a small bit of the padding on the outside of each shoe (also visible in 2nd photo). I've hiked with other shoes modified this way, and a small piece of duct tape over the opening works fine. I never had any further tearing or issues. I bought these a couple of years ago for a long hike and realized quickly this model didn't work for me. They've been sitting a closet unused since. Payment/shipping: - all prices include shipping in CONUS - paypal g&s only submitted by /u/ul_sell to r/GearTrade [link] [comments]

Men’s Shoe Recommendation
Hi teachers! My boyfriend is a high school teacher, and he stands for about 10-12 hours a day with the afterschool activities he helps with. He always has back and foot pain and desperately needs new shoes. I was wondering if any male teachers had any shoe recommendations. He wears sneakers just about everyday so looking for something on the casual side but still appropriate for a teacher. TIA!! ETA: Thank you everyone for all your suggestions!! While I can’t get him to hop on the Hoka train because he thinks they’re ugly (he’s only in his second year of teaching so has yet to prioritize comfort over fashion), he has found a pair of on clouds he likes the look of, so with the day off Monday he’s going to go try them on. These comments just further prove that teachers are truly the best and most helpful people! submitted by /u/NormalAdvertising969 to r/AskTeachers [link] [comments]

Hoka Shoe Finder is a joke if you have x-wide feet
The width question for men has 3 options - D Standard, 2E Wide & I'm not sure. Well I'm a 4E. When I complete the shoe finder it gives me an output of only one shoe and guess what, it doesn't come in a 4E. Why make a shoe finder without an option for x-wide when you sell x-wide shoes. Makes no sense to me and is very frustrating. Sorry for the rant. submitted by /u/HKDrewDrake to r/Hoka [link] [comments]

Are hoka trail running shoes for street running and park run?
Apologies for being uninformed but there’s a good deal on some Hoka Torrent 4 Men's Trail Running Shoes - AW25 that I’ve seen and I was about to get them but noticed trail in the name and hesitated. I do street running and the local park run each Saturday which is mostly on a path and a running track. It’s gets a little boggy in places sometimes. Wides shoes for Men that don't suck?
Hey hobbit feet community, I'm getting pretty fed up with wide sneakers—outside of New Balance, most of them just aren't cutting it. And with Gen Z/Alpha hyping up NB, the prices are getting out of control—but I digress 😅. I'm on the hunt for men's shoes that don't suck—no squeaking, no falling apart. I’m after durable sneakers that can handle walking and light hiking, ideally with solid technical features. My favorites so far have been the Made in USA New Balance lines and their Gore-Tex hiking models. Here’s what I’ve tried so far: Adidas – Wore out the soles fast. Asics – Don’t remember exactly, but didn’t like them. Brooks – Super comfortable but they squeak. Nike – Just meh. Under Armour – Generally uncomfortable. ON – Built like tanks and comfy once broken in, but they squeak too. I’ve been eyeing Hoka, Merrell, Columbia, and Kizik, but haven’t pulled the trigger yet. I'm open to suggestions across the board—sneakers for walking/running/hiking, work shoes with safety toes, and dress shoes (I currently wear Allen Edmonds for those). What brands and models do you recommend—and why? Thanks! submitted by /u/incucrash83 to r/widefeet [link] [comments]

My father works in the coffee business, standing 12+ hours daily. He has knee and back pain, slight inward pronation, and calluses. I want to send him good shoes. A friend suggested Hoka Bondi SR, but I’m unsure. He moves a lot like nurses or waiters.

Summer Sales- Mens Shoe Sizes 9.5-10.5- Prices are shipped
Hey, y'all, I have far, far too many shoes as you already know and as I had a sale a few weeks back. A few of the deals fell through and my running buddy from MCRRC sold me some of his shoes he did not want anymore, along with some of these which I will keep since I need some shoes to run in, but regardless I am putting up the whole closet to see what sells first Please take a look at the list below for shoes, prices, and what has been sold. All miles are tracked on Runna, for any shoes which are from my friend, I will label as such and give his estimation for numbers of miles. I have several confirmed trades on here as well.
