I'm a long time user of IT Nude Glow CC Cream but dabble in many other foundation type products. My latest is the Milk Makeup Hydro Grip Hydrating Gel Skin Tint. My skin tone is a light-medium neutral. I'm using shade #6. It's light weight with buildable coverage. I like it.

What the heck is going on with my foundation/skin tint?! I’m at my wits end!
I’ve been fighting with this for a while now. It just kinda… started to happen. I have the same skin care routine that I always have. I’ll outline below for transparency. I’m using the same products. Also… below… but I’m getting this awful dry, separated, corpse-like look after only a couple hours. I stopped wearing makeup because of it for a while! I’ve tried different powders. No powders. Different setting sprays. No setting sprays. I went out and bought a hydrating setting spray from Tarte. And THIS is what I’m getting! It’s so awful! Help me makeup gurus! What the heck am I doing wrong? What changed? Second pic supplied to show makeup after about an hour. First pic was after about 4 hours, up close and gross… Morning skincare: Wash/rinse -> Rice Toner -> Vitamin C Serum -> Hyaluronic Acid -> Niacinamide -> Moisturizer -> SPF Allow to dry down for half an hour —> makeup. Both the Milk Skin Tint and the MUFE Foundation give me the same result. Huda Beauty Loose Setting powder? Same result. CT Pressed Setting Powder? Same result. Mac setting spray. Same result. Tarte Setting Spray? Same result. Argh!!!!! submitted by /u/Trial_by_Maeryn to r/MakeupEducation [link] [comments]

Tinted Sunscreen - I found one that works for my pale/cool skin!
In January I had a small scare - my derm decided that part of the sun damage on my cheek was looking suspicious and did a biopsy. My grandfather died from skin cancer - that formed on his cheek and quickly moved into the cheekbone. Thankfully, my little spot was benign. My derm recommended switching from regular sunscreen to tinted because I also deal with melasma. So, the journey began. I started with CeraVe Hydrating Mineral Sunscreen Light Sheer Tint. Now if you don't mind a sunscreen feeling heavy, this one might be right for you. The color is light and cool-toned. But it feels like smearing wet paint on your face and doesn't ever seem to dry down. I moved on to EltaMD UV Clear Tinted Sunscreen (there's no colors to choose from, just tinted or untinted). This stuff absorbed much better and did seem to be cool-toned but was not light enough in color, and unfortunately felt really drying. This might be good for folks who aren't super pale and maybe have oilier skin. Then I thought maybe I should try a chemical tinted sunscreen and went with SuperGoop Glow Screen in the shade Dawn. This is when I started getting really frustrated with my search. This formula is fantastic - absorbs quickly and doesn't feel heavy or sticky. The color is light and cool toned and has a bit of pearlescence to it. But it made my eyes sting like crazy. Then I tried Cetaphil Everyday Sunscreen, Tinted. This is the product my derm originally recommended. This made me look like a certain orange not-well-liked public figure. My husband kept joking with me about China. Definitely not for the cool pales. Finally, I went to ChatGPT. In the prompt I asked for a cool toned mineral tinted sunscreen for pale and mature skin. It popped out a few suggestions, but at the top was Australian Gold Tinted Mineral Sunscreen in the shade fair/light. I've never heard of this brand so I was skeptical. But this is it folks. Winner winner chicken dinner. It absorbs quickly and once dry feels like bare skin. When I squirted it out of the tube I was a little worried because it is straight up PINK. But it look amazing on my skin and even gave a bit of brightening effect. There is also a lighter shade called vanishing nude. Anyway, young ladies please wear sunscreen! If I could go back in time and wear sunscreen every single day I would. Instead I'm 47 and fighting sun damage. Take care of your beautiful selves! submitted by /u/Downtown-Evening7953 to r/PaleMUA [link] [comments]

Favourite skin tint for fair, dry, textured skin?
Looking for recommendations on skin tints for fair, dry, and textured skin? I’m looking for something for summer - hydrating, lightweight, with pinky undertones (I find lots of foundations look yellow on me). I don’t care if it’s Sephora or drugstore, I just want it to work and look natural! I live in Canada so if products are drugstore, I would need to shop at Shoppers Drug Mart or Walmart or Amazon. Thanks everyone for your help! submitted by /u/leafslover27 to r/MakeupAddiction [link] [comments]

best products to use with wet n wild tinted hydrator
I’ve been using this stuff for a while now and really like it. My problem is I don’t know a lot about makeup and I’m wondering how I can achieve a more dewy look with it. Does anyone use this with powder? Currently I only put some concealer under my eyes after using it and then a setting spray on top. I’m wondering what all of the “natural” makeup guys n gals use with it lol I need help 🫶 submitted by /u/throwawayokay333 to r/drugstoreMUA [link] [comments]

Skin tint suggestions
I’ve been using the Hourglass Veil Hydrating Skin Tint Foundation lately and noticed it’s started looking cakey and settling into fine lines/pores, which I don’t remember happening when I first bought it in the fall. I had a similar issue with the NARS tinted moisturizer too. I’m wondering if it could be the “primer” I’m using — the Sephora soothing moisturizer with the green tint for redness correction. I only use it underneath makeup even though it’s technically skincare, since I prefer really minimal/light makeup. Does anyone have recommendations for a good primer + skin tint combo for someone in their 30s who likes lightweight, dewy makeup that won’t look chalky or emphasize texture? submitted by /u/Big_Contribution_536 to r/Sephora [link] [comments]

Drugstore Skin Tint
Hi yall, i am looking for a tinted moisturizer product! I have used the ColourPop PrettyFresh Tinted moisturizer for the past couple years and finally hit pan, but I find that though the product performs decently well, it clings to dark patches very badly, which is just not a good look for me. I’ve been considering using the NYX make em wonder, maybelline super stay skin tint, or wet n wild hydrator. I have fair neutral toned skin, and often use a blue mixing pigment as products generally pull orange on me. I tried the elf camo cc cream and HATED it, so looking for not too orange, oily dry skin friendly products! Thanks💕 submitted by /u/PlaneDirt8602 to r/drugstoreMUA [link] [comments]

Skin tint with skincare?
I’m 38 and nevvvvvver wear foundation unless I have an event because I hate the feeling of it on my skin. However I have noticed some unevenness in my skin occasionally that I’d like to help smooth out. Can anyone recommend like a skin tint that might have some skin care infused in it so it doesn’t feel like I’m wearing anything? Anything that’s hydrating is a bonus. Thank you 🙏 submitted by /u/Odd_Archer_7953 to r/AusSkincare [link] [comments]

Skin tint for a dry girly
Hellooo! Needing some advice before that VIP sale I’m going into office again for work and wearing foundation 2-3 days a week isn’t really great for my skin so I’m looking for something lighter, but still provide some coverage! Context: my skin is on the warmer side (Asian), really dry (so I prefer the dewy glowy look), not acne prone skin. Currently using “Givenchy Prisme Libre Skin-Caring Glow Foundation” 3-W245 Wanted to see if anyone have tried these products and could give me insights? - Hourglass Veil Hydrating Skin Tint - ILIA Super Serum Skin Tint - bareMinerals Complexion Rescue Tinted Moisturizer - Glossier Perfecting Skin Tint (packaging for this is so disappointing and messy to me :( but wondering if the product is good enough to overlook it) Any thoughts would very much appreciated! submitted by /u/PutridEngineering111 to r/Sephora [link] [comments]

Ciele Skin Tint rave - dry, red, acne prone skin
I have struggled so hard to find a foundation/skin tint that works for my very weird red and ruddy/dry patched/acne prone skin. I always avoided foundation for years because I struggled with acne and found that I could never get it to look good - I've only recently started using makeup again, as I wanted to learn for my wedding. Almost everything I've tried would immediately cling to my dry patches or apply horribly, and for some products I'd find that I could feel it drying out my skin in real time. I'm also very allergic to oxybenzone/octinoxate, which rules out a number of popular options with SPF. Also, I'm trying to gravitate to brands that are not massive-ish conglomerates or at least knowingly evil. My skin prep is the following: wash with lukewarm water (I cleanse at night), 2% Naturium BHA every other day, Acure vitamin C, Laniege Milky Toner, Geek and Gorgeous Hydration Station, and Beauty of Joseon SPF. For my base, I'd previously tried over the years: -eltaMD UV Daily Tinted Broad-Spectrum: I loved this until they reformulated it with octinoxate and I unknowingly put it on my face. I was bright red and itchy for several days. -Neutrogena tinted moisturizer: too streaky and orange, felt really drying. -Elf Suntouchable - not actually a foundation but a tinted-ish spf primer that I used occasionally with concealer: basically no coverage, and sometimes patchy if prep was bad. -Tower 28 SunnyDays: I so wanted to love this as it was suitable for acne-prone skin, but I found it weirdly drying. It would cling to the dry patch on my chin and flake, and by the end of the day my skin would feel parched. -NARS Light Reflecting Foundation: this looked horrible. I think it was way too full coverage for me too, but it just clung to my chin and looked cakey. -Hourglass Illumination Foundation: started out promising but ultimately looked too thick and pale for my skin, and the next closest shade was too dark. -It Cosmetics Nude Glow: this was quite orange for my closest shade and also clung to my dry spots. -Ilia Skin Tint: I tried this on in store two different times, and it was the complete opposite of what I expected! I was so sad because I thought it was made for my skin type. It clung to my dry patches and didn't offer enough coverage to even smooth out my redness. Plus, as everyone says, it doesn't exactly smell great. -Catrice Soft Glam Filter Fluid: I lovvvee this and found it so hydrating. It doesn't cling to my patches and gave me a really lovely smooth base that I could spot conceal with. Unfortunately, it has comedogenic ingredients and breaks me out if I use it too often. It also can exemplify texture because of how shiny it is; great for days I have no acne, not great for the days I do. So, all that to say that this weekend, I was close to just giving up, using whatever I had on hand, and hoping my wedding photographer is good with filters. An employee at Sephora pointed me toward the Ciele tint & PROTECT SPF, which I hadn't previously considered because I had heard it was probably less suited for dry skin than Ilia. OMG. I was so wrong. In store, it was a perfect shade match, and honestly smoothed out all the redness on my skin despite it being red from me testing a few different products and using makeup remover. It didn't feel dry, and somehow didn't look horrible despite me having no skin prep on. It's non-comedogenic and has no fragrance. At home, I tested it again and was obsessed. It melted into my skin so nicely - I used my hands and couldn't believe how smooth it was. It felt so nice when I put it on, and didn't feel like I was wearing anything at all. It smooths out my redness and works great with my concealer and powder. I've used it again today and it looks just as amazing. The best part? IT DOESN'T CLING TO MY DRY PATCHES. I can't believe it. My skin actually looks NORMAL, except better. The second pic is the application, the last pic is a good idea of what my skin looks like without anything (ft. pimple patch), same lighting. I'm wearing shade 03. Curious if other weird skin people have had similar results with Ciele, or if there are any others that you'd recommend! UPDATE 10 DAYS LATER: It did not break me out or cause any issues! I wore it for a week straight and my skin actually looked BETTER after I would take it off each night. I am in love with this. submitted by /u/LoveOne5226 to r/MakeupAddiction [link] [comments]

Chanel v. Armani v. YSL v. Gucci: Battle of the Luxury Skin Tints!
Thought it would be fun to discuss all of the major skin tints from Luxury fashion houses of the 20th Century. Yes, there are other "luxury" brands in beauty and skincare... ones with price points that would make Coco Chanel's eyes water...but, for this theme, we're just focusing on skin tints currently available from iconic brands that started primarily as fashion houses in the 20th (or 19th!) century and are still around today. So, if you were going for one of those "my skin, but better" skin tints from one of those houses, which would choose? Chanel Les Beiges Water Fresh Tint Armani Golden Hour Skin Tint YSL Nu Bare Tint Gucci Glow Skin Tint I haven't tried any of them yet, but I'm most intrigued by the Chanel and Armani! submitted by /u/PatsyStonesBun to r/MakeupAddiction [link] [comments]

I cannot believe the difference from 24 days ago thanks to asking for advice!
I came asking for help with all the fine lines on my face and you guys delivered! I didn’t realize just how dehydrated my face was and that I was due for some changes in routine. I wasn’t expecting my skin to change so much already (I’m 33) but clearly I needed some changes! I’m so thankful for this group 🤍 New routine: So I cleanse at night only and then I do all the other steps both morning and night. At night I’ve been slugging with aquaphor but I’ve gone down to only 2-3 days a week for that now. La roche posay Toleriane Hydrating Gentle Face Cleanser for Dry Skin Milky toner from Paula’s choice The Ordinary Hyaluronic Acid 2% + B5 Hydrating Serum with Ceramides Then at night for moisturizer I’m using CALM Rescue & Repair Intensive Moisturizer Paula’s choice Morning moisturizer is Pro-Collagen Peptide Plumping Moisturizer I use DRMTGLY tinted moisturizer with spf but it’s been pilling lately with the new changes so I think I’m going to be on the hunt for another one. Id like to work retinol back in eventually but I’m scared because I think that was one of the products that messed up my barrier in the first place 🤷🏻♀️ submitted by /u/weddingaccount060417 to r/30PlusSkinCare [link] [comments]

Any thoughts on Cerave Hydrating Mineral Sunscreen - Tinted?
I am new to the group after learning from my derm that to prevent melasma, we should use something with iron oxides. I found this Cerave hydrating mineral sunscreen with light sheer tint that’s at a decent price. Was wondering if anyone’s found this to benefit? I am surprised that I don’t see posts about this as other sunscreens are more expensive it seems! Thanks! submitted by /u/chasingsunshine521 to r/Melasmaskincare [link] [comments]

I need a new skin tint/foundation
I’m 30, in the UK and I’m looking for a new skin tint or foundation. I’m looking for something light to medium coverage, glowy or natural finish, hydrating as well if possible. I’ve just tried out the Fenty skin tint in shade 2 which is a very good colour match but I was just wondering if anyone knows of any that may be a better choice? submitted by /u/just-a-girl-95 to r/MakeUpAddictionUK [link] [comments]

FAE BEAUTY SKIN TINT/SERUM FOUNDATION - THE SEXY REVIEW
hello beautiful people! Thank you to the people who interacted with me on my last post here - it was helpful to know what all you wanted me to look out for! I will try to address the questions that were raised in the last post. Hope this helps you make an informed choice. TESTING CONDITIONS every fair test needs to expand upon its testing conditions. Here's what I was working with - medium-neutral olive skintone. closest foundation match: estee lauder double wear in cashew oily-combination skin. heavy acne scarring. weather: cloudy, cool, not very muggy or humid, plenty of sun. no primer. my regular primer is the danessa myricks yummy skin blurring balm, because its the only product that can control my oil production. Yes, I am that oily. But I thought it will be a good idea to test the product without a primer. why? for three reasons. average consumer doesn't wear primer in their day to day ideally, a skin tint shouldn't need a primer. i wanted to see how the product would perform against my oily skin without the help of danessa. I applied the product using my fingers as well as a makeup brush. SKIN TINT OR FOUNDATION? the formula doesn't quite know what it wants to do on the packaging that i received, the product is named "super serum skin tint" whereas on the website, it is called the face card serum foundation. this inconsistency is the cornerstone of this product. it doesn't know whether it wants to be a skin tint or a foundation. to be clear, the product is more foundation than skin tint. it's thick and goopy (and it gets everywhere!!) and when it goes on the skin, it lays down very much like an oily, heavy foundation. This isn't a negative thing, necessarily - but I fear for those of us who wanted rare beauty at fae beauty prices will have to keep looking. Full disclosure, I expected a skin tint and am on the hunt for a skin TINT. I have plenty of foundations and don't really need another one. THE SERUM PROBLEM - DO WE REALLY NEED MORE NIACINAMIDE? I'm copying this directly from the fae beauty website. this is what their marketing material claims Niacinamide (0.5%) - Brightens, refines pores, strengthens barrier Kakadu Plum (2%) - Contains the highest recorded natural concentration of Vitamin C - up to 100x more than an orange. To Brighten dull skin and boost radiance. Fade dark spots & acne pigmentation. Liquorice Extract (0.2%) - To calm inflammation and redness. Moringa Oil (0.5%) - Nourishes & protects against pollution Amino Acids (0.5%) - Help maintain hydration & skin resilience Hybrid SPF system - SPF 15 - Protects from sun damage I have a huge problem with niacinamide and other heavy hitter actives being in makeup products, because they don't suit everybody. The other major issue is, the actives present in this formulation are too little to actually have any benefit. you're never going to put enough skin tint on your face to have the full effect of niacinamide. and 2% vitamin C... give me a break? 2% is nothing. so what we have here is all these actives getting wasted in the formula, because they're too little to have tangible benefits. but at the same time, they are present and may cause allergic reactions to skin types that are more sensitive. This is a big problem with the sciencification of makeup. In order to make up for past wrongs, we have pivoted too hard in the other direction. We're putting niacinamide in everything, and it really needs to fucking stop. UPON IMMEDIATELY APPLYING... I noticed that it goes on incredibly oily. like, very oily. I wonder if the moringa oil is doing overtime here or if there's some other ingredients here that that is a heavy hitter. I am not a cosmetic chemist, so maybe someone else can weigh in. From what I can tell, in their effort to make the product look dewy, they have added some heavy hitter silicone products, in addition to the kakadu plum oil and the moringa oil. My first application, it was a little disconcerting to have a product this oily on my face. I thought I was applying it wrong, because the excess oil made it difficult to see if I'd blended the product properly. After going in with my hands, I also went in with a dense foundation brush to blend it. Didn't help. I decided to let the product dry on my face, before going in with the rest of my products. IT TOOK ONE HOUR FOR THE FOUNDATION TO DRY DOWN, the oiliness of the product began to settle. Just to give it an additional boost - I topped it with some huda beauty powder (shade kunafa) in the more oily areas of my face. After the powdering, it started looking more skin-like and dewy rather than just oily. If you do buy this product and plan to use it, i would recommend starting your makeup atleast two hours before you are to go somewhere, because even with my oiliness, it took the foundation quite a bit of time to truly settle into my skin. After my hour, I put some products on top. mac gingerly blush milk makeup contour nars soft matte concealer + estee lauder double wear concealer nyx i know that's bright palette. milani make it last dewy setting spray huda beauty easy bake powder MAC glossy liner - root for me MAC lustreglass alone time MAC kajal CLIO long curling mascara the products settled well and didn't pill or react immediately. I'm a little shy about putting my face on reddit but my makeup looked fly as heck (my girlfriends said so!). other than the milk contour, I would recommend all these products. anyway, back to the review. DID IT OXIDISE? yes. here i took the two photographs against the same window, and roughly the same angle. today, in my city, the weather has fluctuated and sunlight has been more or less steady. if you notice the two photos, it kind of looks like I've had a slightly bad tan in the second pic. does it look terrible? no. i went out and it was fine. not oompa loompa orange. but while purchasing, I would probably buy one shade below. of course, this is slightly difficult for me because the shade directly below my shade 31N, is 30N which has a "peach undertone". Most decidedly, peach is not my undertone. I'll just save money and go for rare beauty. DID IT PILL? no. here there was no pilling, caking or flaking. in fact, it blended most beautifully with my other products, to give a really nice glow. you'll notice under my eye, there's a slight fading and feathering. it looks like it is clinging to the dryness, but that's because i have run out of eyecream and my undereyes were crusty as hell. overall, as far as pilling goes, it has performed well given i didn't put any primer. IS IT TRANSFER PROOF? yes, somewhat. after it is on the face, there's slight transfer before it dries. but once its dry its pretty much not moving from your face. WHAT TYPE OF SKIN WILL IT SUIT? if you are someone who dislikes the oily feeling, it will not suit you. it may be best suited for dry skin, but to be very fair I didn't notice any substantial issues on my oily combi skin. I will say, if you have sensitive skin, its best to avoid because of the heavy hitter actives, the oils and the pore clogging silicones. DID IT COVER ACNE SCARRING? ohohoho, here's my time to shine. if there's any type of acne scarring out there in the world, I most likely have it. you can check out the pics I've put above, and judge for yourselves. Here are my thoughts - it wont cover the icepick, boxcar and rolling scars. it will cover some hyper-pigmentation and marks. think of it as your average medium-low coverage foundation. you can use it to even out the skin, not necessarily cover. use your colour correctors. HOW LONG DID IT LAST? It's about 75% gone from my skin after a good 4.5 hours. I actually don't like long wearing products, and to be fair - I did not use primer. I suppose with primer it would have lasted full 8 hours as they claim, though that's hard to say. I am super oily, haha. So, not a minus for me. OTHER SKIN TINTS? since this is a foundation, I think its unfair to compare it to the house of makeup skin tint - which is the only other skin tint that is being created by an indian brand. however, I will say - the house of makeup one is a true-blue skin tint. its a runny, beautiful formulation that sits very well on the skin. If you can find your shade in the house of makeup skin tint - go for that one. why i say "find your shade" ?- because you may find it difficult to. their medium m10 is NEON ORANGE on me. they have completely fucked up undertones. difficult to figure out which shade to buy using their website images. however, i have dear friends who have found their shades and are VERY HAPPY with the product. I'm just unlucky. such is life. SPEAKING OF UNDERTONES... I truly don't think the fae team understands undertones. They have marketed their shades as "olive" and "warm" and "cool" but I found it highly strange that no matter what I put, it all seemed orange on me. for reference, I tried shades in the medium skin range (40N, 30N, 31N, 41O, 42N, 32W) - i don't have images, but frankly don't think I need them either. just go on the website and observe their own images. the neutrals are very orange. the warms are even more orange. the cool will likely be peach. if you want to understand what olive foundations should look like, look no further than about face beauty - which i consider the gold standard for actually olive foundations. the difference will astound you. this isn't to shit on fae, atleast they're mentioning olive. but, be warned. you may need blue color corrector. LA Girl has a good one. FINAL THOUGHTS good marketing, terrible execution. I am more forgiving of FAE than I am of other brands, because I do think their brand ethos is very clever. they identified a gap in the market and are now having a lot of fun in it. I do wish the marketing would be backed up by solid products. unfortunately this hasn't been the case for the foundation. I am not a fae hater. I like the lip whip and the brown kajal. but the products have been inconsistent across the board. The lip liner fades after 20 minutes, lets not even talk about the gloss. Unfortunately for me, the foundation is another miss. Given the oiliness, the work it took to make it work for me (one hour wait is far too much) and the oxidation, I don't know if I am willing to spend 1000 rupees on the product. I can just mix moisturiser into my estee lauder and make a skin tint that doesn't give me so much trouble. hunt for a good skin tint continues... https://preview.redd.it/02r2pbg4zwtf1.png?width=1080&format=png&auto=webp&s=1754de868819451c6fac35e37eeb7ab5a17112a9 submitted by /u/SexyFoodandFilms to r/IndianBeautyTalks [link] [comments]

I am a DV survivor. I refuse to give ELF my money. I have made a list of popular products from ELF, against what one can use instead. Hope this helps!!
This is not an exhaustive list - in the comments please feel free to discuss and add suggestions. Hope this can be pinned. I will not even use the product names, because i won't give elf even that much free marketing. I hope the descriptor will be clear enough. There will be a separate thread for ELF skincare which will also provide alternatives for their subsidiary: rhode by hailey beiber, keys wellness, naturium and w3ll people. you can find the skincare list here GRIPPY PRIMER McCoMakeup Grip Primer Maybelline grippy primer revlon colorstay grip primer NYX the face glue. ETA: not including sheglam because that's shein's makeup brand which is... not... great. milani has been struck from this list as they publicly sided with johnny depp during the trial. unfortunately, this list is not bds safe because i typed it from memory, and its gets pretty hard to keep track of who is the parent company of which brand. so i urge everyone to do their own research, as it will take me a couple of days to track down the parent company of each brand and then mark them safe on the list. meanwhile, here is the bds list - https://boycott.thewitness.news/categories/cosmetics submitted by /u/SexyFoodandFilms to r/drugstoreMUA [link] [comments]

Help me match with Hourglass Skin Tint!
I’m a fair asian who has a lighter face than neck. I have swatched shades 1, 2, 3 and 4 on my face and neck in natural light (red numbers) and with flash (black numbers). I wear NARS light reflecting foundation in deauville which seems like a good match, and NARS radiant creamy concealer in vanilla which feels a little light. I have very very very dry skin and I use the laura mercier hydrating primer (water based) and the charlotte tilbury setting spray on top. I am unsure of my undertone and overtone but have been told that I could be a cool/neutral autumn (?). I have purple blue veins and what seems to be a yellow overtone due to my asian heritage. I also ended up buying shade bisque in the hourglass vanish concealer but I am hesitant to try it incase it is too bright! TIA!! ❤️ submitted by /u/FallingBiryani to r/MakeupAddiction [link] [comments]

Which skin tint/light foundation should I get?
I'm wanting to switch to a skin tint or tinted moisturizer or a light/buildable coverage foundation. I feel like the foundations I have used over the years are feeling heavy, settling into my fine lines on my forehead and making my dry spots more noticeable. So I read a million articles and looked at a ton of options and I'm sure ice not seen everything there is to offer but I've narrowed it down to these 5 (there is a 6th but Sephora doesn't carry it, it's Chanel Les Beiges Water-Fresh Tint) so I need your help because you guys always have the tea and the best advice. Which of these six do you think would be best to avoid the issues I had with my other foundations and get a "looks like your skin but better" look? Thank you so much in advance. submitted by /u/fuzzydiceinrearview to r/Sephora [link] [comments]

Lisa Eldridge Skin Tint t1.5
Thank you to you beautiful fair olive Angels on here for suggesting the Lisa Eldridge skin tint in the shade t1.5 -- I have NEVER had a shade match this good. I'm still shook. ✨️Thank you thank you!! I can't believe it✨️ Can we talk about the finish??? Immaculate. It's so skin like, and for my oily af skin it appears slightly dewy and healthy with a lovely glow but WITHOUT slipping off my face and gathering into every fine line and pore?! What is this magic? I touch my nose, my biggest oily girl problem area, nearly 8 hours after applying the tint and it's not at all the usual greasy mess I have to deal with. I don't feel the need to touch up with powder. I look glowy in a hot girl healthy way, and not in a dunked my face into some olive oil kind of way. Normally I have to touch up with powder every 2-4 hours, but I haven't touched up once other than patting in my smile lines at the 7 hour mark. Which, btw, were WAY less prominent than they usually are and easily fixed. Speaking of patting in my smile lines, the ONLY place it's gathered in a not very fixable way has been in the crease of my nostrils, but I've never not had that happen to me and you can barely tell unless I stretch the skin there to show it. Everything else is so perfect, this doesn't bother me at all. It's just one of those "well, I AM wearing makeup" things. The shade t1.5 is so perfect, I could cry. I love that the formula let's my natural skin "peek" through ever so slightly instead of becoming a layer or mask over the skin. It truly is my skin but way better. It's so comfortable and I found that it layers well over itself on areas that needed a tad more coverage. I have a lot of PIE and PIH around my lower jaw/beneath my jaw area and layering it there did not become cakey. I did have to go in with a light hand and apply a tiny bit of concealer in those spots to cover the marks completely, but that's the case with any foundation I've ever used and I prefer doing that than having full coverage over my entire face. I've been searching for what felt like an impossible HG foundation that was not only a shade match for my fair olive neutral skin, but also having a skin-like finish, thin consistency, and preferably not matte (I've only ever used matte because of my skin type and I've gotten so over it making me look crepey under the eyes, powdery, and older than I am) but not tooo dewy either otherwise it becomes greasy looking so fast on me. I wanted it to be able to look glowy, healthy, and like my skin, all while keeping the oil at bay. And this LE skin tint does exactly that!! When I tell you I've been looking for so long.. I tried Nars (in all their different finishes), Rare Beauty, Kosas, Ilia, Beauty Blender, Too Faced, Tarte, Estee Lauder, and the Unleashia green cushion in 21n. Only some of them actually matched my skin tone, none of them settled into my skin the way I wanted (BB and Rare came the closest but still too foundationy), and all of them became patchy and/or oily to differing degrees within an hour. Unleashia was the worst offender, if anyone can tell me how to work with this cushion I'll be eternally grateful because the shade is lovely but it clings and cakes so weirdly on my skin, gathers and separates like nothing else, becomes cakey so fast and just sits on top of the skin instead of melting into it like the Lisa Eldridge skin tint has done. Anyway! My routine and methods for using the Lisa Eldridge skin tint (which was the same routine I've been using for ages): I started with my usual skin prep for soothing and hydration, and used my favourite sun screen the Skin Aqua UV Super Moisture Milk (blue bottle). I let that sink in and didn't actually start my makeup until half an hour to an hour later, idk if that makes a difference but I was busy and didn't jump straight to it. I didn't use any primer. I applied the tint in thin layers using a flat foundation brush, one of those ones that apply it like a spatula to the skin so you can get a really even, thin layer all over. I did that all over the face, then I patted it into the skin using my dry Amortals marshmallow puff (I'm obsessed with this method of applying foundation with spatula-like brush and puff, game changer for me). I used the tiniest dab of Nyx Bare With Me serum concealer in the shade Fair in the dark circles under my eyes, but did not bring it up to the fine lines of my eyes. I just used it for the slightest bit of brightening coverage in the hollow because I wanted to see how the tint performed in my fine lines. And my god, it performed brilliantly. It looks absolutely lovely there; 8 hours later and it hasn't become cakey, dry, or gathered in any fine lines at all like it usually would when I wear makeup. It looks just like my skin only clearer, even and bright. I then used the Nyx serum concealer over PIE and PIH marks at my jaw and it layered very well over the tint, no issues at all and its held up through the day. I sprayed my face with the Tir Tir fixing spray, then applied liquid blush with my fingers which did not disturb the base, then set my face with a powder brush and the Funny Elves setting compact powder in NU00. Over a few select oily areas I used the compact's puff to press a little extra powder into the skin. I finished the rest of my makeup and then used the Tir Tir spray one more time at the end and that was that. I haven't touched up since. As you can probably tell, I'm extremely happy with this blind purchase. It's risky buying blind, but I'm so stoked I followed all of your recommendations and advice and took the leap. If you haven't tried it yet and this all sounds good to you, my shade in the Nars creamy concealer was Chantilly, for Nars sheer glow foundation I used Siberia, my Estee Lauder foundation was in Alabaster or Shell (the pink undertones didn't work tho, and Alabaster could sometimes be a little too light/bright as I am quite muted), Rare Beauty 110 was a bit too dark and golden but still worked for me with concealer, Beauty Blender 1.10n was quite decent but again a little warm, 12n Tarte Shape Tape, and the Too Faced concealer in Cloud was light enough for me too. I can't remember the Kosas or Ilia shades, I'm sorry! When compared to Nars Sheer Glow Siberia, the LE Skin Tint is less yellow and more muted, with that lovely neutral olive tone. It's perfection. It's also thinner, Nars SG feels thick and makeup-y in comparison whereas the LE tint feels like an emollient skin serum or very light breathable oil. Wayyy less oily greasy feeling than the Ilia tint and sits so much nicer for me without making me oily. First two photos are from an hour into wearing the skin tint. Last photos I've attached comparing the shade t1.5 to Nars Siberia. Phew, if you made it to the end well done because I apparently had a lot to say! Thank you again olive angels, I don't know what I'd do without you! 🕊🫒 submitted by /u/sacredandscared to r/Fairolives [link] [comments]

skin tints
I have oily, acne-prone skin with a few dry patches and a neutral-cool undertone. Issy & Co (bisque) — my first skin tint ever! shade match is nice, and yung lapat niya sa face maganda din but one thing I hate about it is grabe ako mag oil up sakanya, kahit maset mo ng maayos or whatsoever. will prolly recommend this to someone na clear face kasi very sheer lang sya :) Belo tinted sunscreen — maganda naman sya pero ang hapdi niya sa mata pag matagal mo nang suot. the coverage is also nice, nacocover niya red marks ko. Would not recommend this to dark skin tones kasi kahit may tone adapt technology siya parang pang fair-light skin tone lang talaga + mejo matagal bago ako mag oil up. Sola (light beige) — very runny and coverage is nice kahit onti lang ilagay mo, also covers up my red marks but what I hate about this is nagccling sya sa dry patches ko, kahit ang dami ko na nilalagay na moisturizer ganon pa din. maganda naman sya kasi kahit buong araw mo suot, it still looks nice, and ganda ng lapat niya. Colourette first base (bonbon) — nag break out ako:((( it's lightweight as they claim and hulas proof talaga sya kasi whole day ako nasa school and ok parin sya tho but yun lang nagkaroon ako ng tiny bumps sa face. so think twice if you want to buy this and di ko sya mare recommend sa acne prone skin kasi baka mag worsen acne niyo. Vice Cosmetics Blurrfection (in fair) — very lightweight, coverage is medyo sheer yet buildable, but nagccling sa dry patches. hindi niya din masyado nacocover red marks ko, and hindi ako masyado nag oil up. mejo uncomfy na sya sa init kasi parang natutunaw siya:( Happy skin (fair) — THIS ONE IS MY FAVE AMONG ALL! 🥰 very hydrating, nacocover red marks ko, doesn't cling to my dry patches, and is lightweight! as in ang ganda talaga. you might as well consider this if you're looking for a good skin tint! submitted by /u/bnkbong to r/beautytalkph [link] [comments]

I just found my holy grail drig store skin tint
Loreal true nude skin tint in shade 2-3. She doesnt feel like foundation and just melts into skin. Shout out to loreal lumi glotiom, loreal true nude skin tint, and natirium dee glow spf for this beautiful base. Had to post the before and after because WOW. Also used the nyx color correct pallete in the 2 darkest shades to color correct my dark circles and then ised elf hydrating camo concealer for my dark Eyes. It reallu worked better than peach color correcter. Then i set the whole face with Huda wasy bake in pound cake and urban decay all nighter dewy. submitted by /u/lunalovegoodhero to r/MakeupAddiction [link] [comments]
