Summary of every detail of new jeans song plagraisim case + Why Are the NewJeans Members Being Sued Too? +Why File the Lawsuit Now and Not Earlier? ( Everything you need to know)
I tried to find every query you were curious of regarding this case. Following are the detailed, unbaised information you need to know. Executive Summary On7 May 2026, four U.S.-based songwriters filed a copyright infringement lawsuit over NewJeans'2024 single "How Sweet”alleging that the track copied key melodic elements from their demo "One of a Kind"that had been pitched for the group and then rejected. The suit names HYBE, ADOR, and NewJeans members (Minji, Hanni, Haerin, Hyein)and Danielle among the defendants and seeks a share of royalties and profits from "How Sweet"rather than removal of the song from circulation. Background of the Lawsuit: According to reports summarizing the complaint, the plaintiffs are four songwriters: Audrey Armacost, Aidan Rodriguez, Adam Gokcebay, and Michael Campanelli. NewJeans released "How Sweet" as the title track of their second single album on 24May 2024. 3 The song was written by a multinational team including Gigi, Sarah Aarons, Elvira Anderfjärd, Oscar Scheller, Stella Bennett (Benee), Tove Burman, and member Danielle, with production by 250 and others and It achieved significant commercial success. Plaintiffs’ Narrative: How "One of a Kind" Was Created and Pitched: The lawsuit alleges that in January 2024 .Armacost received an instrumental track from her publisher and was invited to submit a topline (melody and Iyrics) for potential use by NewJeans. She then co-wrote and recorded the demo "One of a Kind" with Rodriguez, Gokcebay, and Campanelli over that instrumental, and the team sent the completed song to NewJeans'camp via industry channels. The writers say they were later informed that their demo had not been selected for the project and assumed the opportunity had ended. Four months later, when NewJeans released "How Sweet they claim they noticed that the first verse of "How Sweet" was "quantitatively and qualitatively similar" to the first verse."One of a Kind" and concluded that their topline had been copied without permission. Alleged Musical Similarities Press coverage of the complaint reports several specific musical similarities alleged by the plaintiffs: 1.Both songs are in 414 time and the key of B-flat minor. · 2.Both contain a topline built around an approximately eight-bar, 31-note melodic sequence consisting of four series, which the plaintiffs say is substantially the same in contour, rhythm, and structure. The plaintiffs argue that this specific melodic sequence is original to them and not a generic or commonplace pattern. Legal Claims and Requested Relief The complaint reportedly asserts federal copyright infringement of the musical composition, arguing that the plaintiffs are joint authors and co-owners of the composition embodied in "How Sweet" due to the alleged copying of their original topline. They seek: A pro-rata share of profits and royalties generated by "How Sweet" and • Any other relief the court deems appropriate (which could include statutory damages, attorneys' fees, and injunctive relief, though press reports emphasize the focus on royalty participation). Why the Members Are Being Sued and Not Min Hee-jin In U.S. music copyright cases, it is common to name a broad set of defendants: the corporate rights-holders (labels, publishers), distributors, and sometimes the performing artists themselves, even if the artists did not personally do thecopying. The theory is that anyone who participates in the exploitation of the allegedly infringing work, or is credited as a writer, can be liable for infringement or unjust enrichment, so plaintiffs cast a wide net to ensure any responsible party is within the court's reach. In this case, NewJeans members are credited as performers and, in Danielle's case, as one of the co-writers of "How Sweet, so including them aligns with typical U.S. practice. Why Min Hee-jin Is Not Named: Available reporting on the lawsuit does not list Min Hee-jin as a defendant. At the time "How Sweet" was written and released in mid-2024, Min was CEO and creative director of ADOR and deeply associated with NewJeans’ concept, but she is not credited as a songwriter or producer on the track. Copyright infringement liability in composition cases generally attaches to parties involved in the creation, ownership, or exploitation of the specific song, rather than to label executives in a general supervisory role. Timing: Why the Lawsuit Was Filed in May 2026: Music copyright claims in the United States generally must be filed within three years of the claim accruing, which for infringement usually means within three years of when the copyright owner knew or reasonably should have known of the infringement. "How Sweet" was released in May 2024, and the lawsuit was filed in May 2026, well within that three-year window. The timeline described in the complaint suggests that the writers first learned of the song in mid-2024 and then spent time evaluating the similarities, consulting experts and legal counsel, and attempting to resolve the issue out of court before filing. Strength of the Case: A Preliminary Assessment Several aspects of the publicly reported facts strengthen the plaintiffs’ position:. Clear evidence of access: Unlike many infringement suits where access is speculative, the complaint alleges a direct chain of submission from the plaintiffs’ publisher to NewJeans' camp for consideration, which-if documented would strongly establish access. • Specific, non-generic similarities: The focus on an eight-bar, 31-note melodic sequence is more concrete than generic claims about "vibe" or chord progressions; if expert analysis supports that the melodic contour and thythm are closely aligned, courts may find this persuasive. Factors Weakening or Complicating the Case High threshold for originality and protectable elements: Courts have become more reluctant to treat short melodic fragments, common rhythmic patterns, or stylistic elements as protectable if they resemble generic musical building blocks, as seen in appellate decisions limiting the scope of protectable similarity.Shared instrumental track: Because both "One of a Kind" and "How Sweet"are based on the same underlying fact. Independent creation by credited writers: The credited writers of "How Sweet" (Aarons, Anderfärd, Scheller, Bennett, Burman, Danielle) could testify that they created the melody independently without reference to "One of a Kind," and if their process notes or session files support this, the jury might find in their favor. submitted by /u/Remarkable-West-6613 to r/NJDrama_uncensored [link] [comments]

What K-pop songs do you think are flawless, 100% masterpieces?
Gonna be a super heavily opinionated thread for sure but I'm really curious on what people consider masterpiece songs in K-pop. I'll list some first: TWICE - Fancy. Literal K-pop perfection. This is the song I show non-Kpop fans and EVERYTIME they've really liked it so it's my go to. I might be biased because they're my ult but it's hard to beat this song LE SSERAFIM - Blue Flame. My favourite K-pop song OAT. I've been going crazy trying to find the instrument used in the song because it sounds HEAVENLY and vocally the song is so good APRIL - Oh! My Mistake. Probably one of the best gg TTs I've heard. It gets better every listen for me LOONA (OEC) - LOONATIC. Top 5 K-pop songs for me. This song TRANSCENDS me everytime I listen to it and it's probably my favourite LOONA song OAT which says a lot because LOONA songs are all incredible including post disbandment. The English version is also chefs kiss Red Velvet - Russian Roulette/Bad Boy. I couldn't decide between the two because they're both so equally incredible to me and it's hard to find songs that match them for me. I always put these on loop when they come up IU - Love wins all. Such a heavy, beautiful song and one that's quite literally inspiring me to keep learning Korean so I can really feel the lyrics. IU has a solid discography but this one is such a highlight and it was on REPEAT when it came out BTS - Fake Love. Felt weird not putting a BG here but I would ride or die for this song AND put my AirPods to max. I just love it so unbelievably much and I really hope they can reheat these nachos because I think that would heal me NewJeans - Ditto. Basic choice I know but I couldn't help not putting this on here. Something was in the air in the NewJeans writing rooms back in the day because their discography is pretty flawless if tragically short Really curious to see what everyone else puts as theirs. Hoping I could even open myself up to new songs too submitted by /u/hypermads2003 to r/kpopthoughts [link] [comments]

[TOMT] Song that had guitar at the start with MV that featured men in white shirts and shorts or something
I listened to this song in 2019 or so, I remember the music video and it had men in white shirts and jeans or jean... shorts?... dancing I guess, and there was a comment that was like "these guys can move their hips better than me". I very much remember the way the guitar sounded at the beginning of the song too but that's all I got. The background was white I think and maybe the lyrics were vaguely pro gay. And I think it was sung by a woman. Just please somebody help me. It's been plaguing me for years and I can't take it anymore. submitted by /u/NoChard7622 to r/tipofmytongue [link] [comments]

Punk is boring, both in music and fashion.
NO HATE IF YOU ENJOY IT, IM DISSING THE STYLE AND MUSIC NOT YOU! The point of it (in short) is being against societal norms, which no surprise there managed to produce the worst type of music, it’s straight ear rape. I don’t get the appeal of having crusty pretentious men with ketone breath yell at you for 3 minutes with the worst guitar playing without any harmony in the background “But it’s just a way to let out our anger at the system” so firebomb a walmart or be an alcoholic, whatever it is, it’s surely better than listening to a dead washingtons song. And the fashion style is SO ugly, I get that it’s the point but that doesn’t make it any better, they look like they smell like a nickel, the jeans with the pins look like they haven’t been washed in three decades, the teeth are rotting, the belly is about to combust from the monster energy drinks, the shoes are a home for bartonella quintana. Nothing about it is appealing, I feel like it’s just an excuse for people with bad hygiene to look a mess. And yuno miles is better than Fugazi. submitted by /u/pilatesmatchalabubu to r/The10thDentist [link] [comments]

[TOMT][SONG][2010s] Rap/Hip hop music video of a woman in very short shorts waking down the street...
Can you guys please help me find this music video I watched on YouTube a very long time ago (probably in the 2010s). I don't remember the lyrics at all, but video itself had basically this latin woman (or some other light skin ethnicity) wearing some very "revealing" attire (low rise jean shorts, with some of her panties showing too, and probably a sports bra). There's a very high possibility that the video is age restricted. Here are some other details I remember about the video: - The genre was probably hip hop/rap or pop (less likely) - A woman sings the song, but it's a different woman in the video - The entire video is a woman walking/dancing(?) toward the camera - There were a lot of people walking in the opposite direction - At some point, some guy tries to grab/touch her as he was passing by, but she dismisses him - Then some other guy passes by, and SHE touches/grabs him for a brief moment - The video had a few million views back then (around 3, maybe?), but I don't think it's from a very famous singer ... And that's all I could remember. Thanks so much guys. submitted by /u/ObjectiveJelIyfish36 to r/tipofmytongue [link] [comments]

Short K-Pop Songs That Feel Complete To You (under 3 minute songs)
Not all short shorts are created equal imo. Inspired by this post, what are some K-pop songs that feel complete, if 2:30 ones don't seem to cut it for you? The only stipulation is that the song(s) must be under 3 minutes. For me, I love a bridge and a good last chorus, but the lack of either isn't automatically a thumbs down in some instances. My nominations (in no particular order): Supersonic by fromis_9 (2:54) Magnetic by ILLIT (2:40) Love Dive by IVE (2:57) ABCD by Nayeon (2:43) Strategy by Twice (2:46) ETA by NewJeans (2:31) Hype Boy by NewJeans (2:59) Sticky by Kiss Of Life (2:37) Still Life by RM, ft. Anderson .Paak (2:55) Snap Shoot by Seventeen (2:56) Perfume by NCT DOJAEJUNG (2:47) The Killa (I Belong To You) by TxT (2:42) Tinnitus by TxT (2:37) Yes or No by Jungkook (2:27) FRI (END) S by V (2:28) Excited to see your picks! Remember, what is a good short song will be subjective :) note: I don't listen to HYBE groups that much, but it's outstanding how most of my picks are HYBE lol. submitted by /u/angie_kiprevski to r/kpopthoughts [link] [comments]

Legal representatives for each side had a total of 40 minutes to make their arguments. ADOR's side presented a total of 229 slides. NewJeans' side presented 93 slides. ADOR CEO Kim Joo Young and the members of NJZ also made appearances and provided an emotional appeals in the final minutes of their arguments. Korea JoongAng Daily: NewJeans members make statements at ADOR injunction trial's first hearing Korea Herald: Legal battle over NewJeans’ contract dispute revisits same arguments ADOR's primary arguments: Along with the members' talents and work, the early success of NewJeans was dependent on investment and efforts by ADOR. A 21 billion won investment from HYBE was mentioned as well as staff, producers, managers, stylists, trainers, choreographers, etc, who contributed. Through their exclusive contract ADOR fulfilled their obligations to provide opportunities and distribute profits (5 billion won to each member). NewJeans benefited from association with BTS as their 'little sister' group, 'successor', appeared in their music video pre-debut, and received promotional boosts after debut with other content like dance challenge videos. A KakaoTalk conversation between Hanni and Min Hee Jin related to the'hallway ignoring incident' undermined the credibility of Hanni's National Assembly claims. The conversation showed Hanni being uncertain about what the manager had said and that she did not consider it a significant issue at the time. It would not make sense for a company whose purpose is to make profit to discriminate against or sabotage their own successful artists and lose a revenue source. If NewJeans returns to ADOR, misunderstandings can all be resolved. Activities like world tours, fan meetings, and albums are being prepared. If the injunction is granted it will reduce potential penalties. NJZ's primary arguments: HYBE treated NewJeans in a discriminatory way, favoring the girl group LE SSERAFIM from a different sub-label. NewJeans was supposed to debut first, but HYBE neglected them, delaying their debut and switching a brand ambassador opportunity to LE SSERAFIM. HYBE created girl group ILLIT by imitating and plagiarizing NewJeans conceptually, therefore replacing NewJeans and diminishing their value (hanbok photoshoots, planning documents, styling, choreography, and teaser images were referenced). ADOR CEO Kim Joo Young did not adequately respond to the 'hallway ignoring incident' involving Hanni and a Belift Lab manager. NJZ wished to wear memorial ribbons in response to the Jeju Air plane disaster during their promotions in Japan, but HYBE did not allow them to citing concerns with Japanese broadcasters. Other HYBE artists wore memorial ribbons later, so it appears HYBE's intentions were to damage NJZ's reputation. NJZ and Min Hee Jin are a team of six members. Being separated was painful and fundamentally broke trust in HYBE and the new ADOR management. NJZ can never return to ADOR again due to the loss of trust and the lack of authentic connection to their work. Following the hearing, HYBE made a statement in response to the claim about memorial ribbons. They noted there had been sweeping consideration for the use of memorial ribbons by artists in all labels and coordinating with broadcasters appropriately for activities. According to them, all artists expressed a desire to wear the same provided ribbons, but NJZ insisted they wished to wear ribbons they had prepared on their own. HYBE honored their decision to do as they wished. As a result, the NewJeans members are prohibited from participating in activities that are independent of ADOR, including making advertising deals, until contract validity is determined through other trials (1st hearing April 3rd). Ador responding with “we’ll clarify in court tomorrow” is exactly what NJ should be doing.
NJ clearly doesn’t care about exhausting the public anymore, as long as it makes noise, grabs attention, and gets Bunnies emotional enough to hope that some politician or influential figure will save them again. Dropping this statement one day before the injunction, revealing something they’ve known since FEBRUARY 11, is just embarrassing. Ador is handling this perfectly—l, short response, ending with “we’ll clarify in court”, which is where this should have been from the start. Nobody was even talking about NJ this week, and now, suddenly, they drop this right before the injunction to stir up media and public reaction. Then fans will act surprised, like “Why are people talking about this?” “What does this have to do with you?”bas if NJ isn’t making sure no one forgets for even a week. Below is Adore’s full statement: While the injunction to preserve the status of the agency and prohibit the signing of advertising contracts, etc. is in progress, Adore inevitably expanded the purpose of the injunction application because New Jeans has expanded their activities, such as releasing new songs and announcing large-scale overseas concerts. This is not to restrict their activities, but rather to continue their entertainment activities ‘together with Adore’ and ‘while keeping the contract. ’ As we have already made public, we have never pressured the concert organizers and have not expanded the purpose of the application as a retaliatory measure. Adore will clarify the artist's various misunderstandings in court tomorrow and seek a judgment that Adore, which many members are waiting for, is the agency that manages New Jeans. submitted by /u/catRiosmom to r/kpop_uncensored [link] [comments]

Short songs under 3 minutes shine if they feel complete
Songs under 3 minutes are acceptable if they sound complete and not unfinished. The trend of releasing shorter songs is likely to continue, driven by artists aiming for viral hits. While not everyone appreciates this trend, I personally find it acceptable as long as the songs feel substantial and well-crafted. A prime example is G-IDLE's "Queencard" (2:41). Discovering its duration surprised me, as the song seamlessly incorporates proper verse, pre-chorus, chorus, repetition, and a conclusive outro. This sense of completeness is also evident in their other hits like "Tomboy" and "Nxde," both under 3 minutes. Similarly, Enhypen's "Sweet Venom" (2:30) initially seemed too short upon release, but revisiting it reveals a song packed with energy and even includes a bridge—an often overlooked element in modern music. Tate McRae's "Greedy" (2:10), although a Western song, deserves mention. Despite its brevity, McRae delivers a complete composition with proper verse, chorus, bridge, and a satisfying outro, avoiding any rushed feel. However, there are examples of songs under 3 minutes that sound incomplete. Sistar 19's "No More" (2:40) left me obsessed with its comeback, but the absence of a final chorus or a notable outro, especially Bora's rap, leaves the song feeling incomplete. Enhypen's "Bite Me" (2:37) stands out as a favorite boy group song of 2023, yet it lacks a compelling bridge or a noteworthy outro dance break that would elevate it to a high note conclusion. Nonetheless, it remains a personal favorite. New Jeans' "ETA" (2:31) is a notable offender for songs under 3 minutes. While I'm generally fine with their songs, "ETA" would benefit from reaching the 3-minute mark, incorporating a good bridge or a cool outro to match its insanely catchy instrumental. Is there any reason for K-pop songs being short nowadays?
Couldn't think of any other title, lol. Here I'm referring to NewJeans' second ep 'Get Up' . The songs? The M/Vs? All are 10/10. The only minus point about the ep is how short it is. 6 songs and only 12 min (13 sec) ? Their first ep 'New Jeans' is longer, which contains 4 songs (12 min 52 sec). The song 'New Jeans' in their second ep is only 1 min long. The song 'Get Up' is so amazing, but Ador did us dirty by making it too short. submitted by /u/Blueberrykitty_8 to r/kpopthoughts [link] [comments]

Making short songs longer won't automatically make them better
Why this opinion is unpopular: a lot of people complain about how short songs are, citing the length itself as the reason for their dissatisfaction Disclaimer: this post is mainly about, but is not exclusive to NewJeans By far, the most common criticism of recent musical trends in Kpop is that songs are getting shorter. NewJeans' most recent EP, Get Up, has been branded as the poster child of this troubling trend, with criticisms almost universally centering on the fact that no song on the album extends beyond 2:34. However, attributing your dissatisfaction to the song length is really shallow criticism, and dismissive of artists who had no trouble creating "complete" songs within a similar runtime. Many timeless and universally classic songs fell below the 3:00 mark, especially those produced in the '60s and early 70s. Some examples: 1, 2. Why do you rarely ever hear complaints about their brevity? Because songs like these made the most out of their runtime. They utilized their hooks IN MODERATION, incorporating instrumental solos, variations in vocal tone and timbre, and other ad libs to keep things interesting and the listener engaged. It is these elements that are what is missing from NewJeans, NOT length. Instead of using time wisely and creatively, they opt to beat the listener over the head with the same hook for what feels like an eternity, and when the song finishes, you're left thinking "that's it???" Yes, that is it, and extending the song by another minute isn't likely to add much more. Even in the past two years alone, we've already had several Kpop classics released that failed to clear the 3:00 mark, such as IVE's "Love Dive", (G)I-DLE's "Tomboy", and even NewJeans' own "Hype Boy". Again, what did these songs all have in common? They used their hooks in moderation, employing tasteful scarcity. Because even the catchiest hook starts to sound shallow and annoying when the song beats you over the head with it enough times. Imagine if Led Zeppelin's "Immigrant Song" kept repeating Robert Plant's iconic screech every 15 seconds -- it would sound fucking awful. The problem with NewJeans' Get Up is that most of the songs treat the verses like a chore they need to get through ASAP (pun intended) so they can abuse the hook some more. There's no incentive to rewind any parts since the song is basically rewinding itself for you anyway -- further exacerbated by the members' vocal timbres and tones all sounding pretty much the same. Given this, "ETA" would have offered the most reason for optimism, only be to derailed by an annoying one-note synth brass melody that sounds exactly like a mosquito buzzing by your ear. It's a shame they couldn't have played literally any other instrument or note. Because if there's one thing I want from my music, it's to be reminded of the most universally hated organism on the planet. As for the song "Get Up" -- you'd think we were about to hear the second coming of Whitney Houston with the way NJ fans were gagging themselves over this little jingle if it were 3 minutes longer. Sorry, but it was not going to go anywhere regardless. Absolutely nothing from NewJeans' discography nor their extracurricular vocal showcases has shown that they are capable of delivering any sort of face-melting bridge or ad libs that would warrant an extended runtime. TL;DR: song length is not the problem, lack of creativity and variation in vocal delivery is the problem View Poll submitted by /u/SippinDatHaterade to r/unpopularkpopopinions [link] [comments]

The new New Jeans songs are starting to get repetitive to me
(DISCLAIMER: I’m not saying there’s anything wrong with any of the songs or the direction their music is going towards. This is just how I personally feel about the music) I was just listening to their song, and it has that really mellow soft vibes and nice melodies to it which I like, but I’m starting to feel like all these songs this era are just blending together. This is not to say the songs are bad, but I feel the production on them is starting to get tiring and overused for this era. All these songs have a nice melody to them especially with the really soft vocals which I think is probably the intention of ADOR/ HYBE for this comeback because it’ll be easier for casual listeners to listen to and those are their target audience. But I really wish this EP had some variety in its sound. I listened to “New Jeans”, “Super Shy” and their choruses are just extremely repetitive to me (which I guess is to have an ear worm for the songs). “ETA” is a bit more on the louder side with the production which I like. It has a lot more energy to me than “Super Shy” but It doesn’t help that the songs are EXTREMELY short. I wish there was at least some sort of bridge to their songs (not just this era but like among all their songs). I’m tired of the 2 minute songs trend in general which I know is because of streaming but I really don’t like it. All in all I do think these songs are good in their own right but they don’t compare to their previous tracks like “Hybe Boy” or “Attention” which had some strong choruses. This is only their second comeback and they’re still rookies so I don’t want this to seem like I’m saying their future releases are bad or anything. Min Hee Jin (🤮) seems to know what she’s doing and I know this all part of building their careers forward so I have no problem with that. This is just my personal feelings about the era. submitted by /u/Ok_Perception_3026 to r/kpoprants [link] [comments]

A "Short" review about Super Shy and why the runtime of a song probably matters.
Just to start off, It's a little lengthy but I do think that explaining why the runtime of a song matters would be good since there might be people having a hard time formulating their words to match what they think about the song. Super Shy is super short, which I don't necessarily mind. I enjoy the vibe, this is the kind of genre of music I like to listen to. I'm familiar with this type of music. And I was already expecting this type of style because of the songwriters that were credited on these tracks. But the shorter runtime does also mean that you have less material here. And in Super Shy's case the beat is cool and the chords are vibey and pretty but the songwriting is lacking a bit. I honestly did not expect that. There are some highlights and there's a hook, but they are definitely similar in energy as the rest of the other parts of the song which makes this "one note". "Super shy, super shy" that's the hook and that's kinda it. "Super shyyyyyy~ Super Shyyyyyy~" as well. It's fleeting. The verses are cool though, it has an alternative "rapping" vocal talking style which I like because it switches things up, but it dissipates in an instant because the song moves on quickly. I'm not able to get into it because it has already left. And with the arrangement where the intro starts off with a long chorus hook and ends with a long outro, that just amplifies that feeling of fleetingness especially because the verses are cramped because of this arrangement. I was playing around for an hour or so re-arranging the song to see if a longer runtime would be better, and IMO it could probably help but it's hard to judge how it would've worked because I don't know what the song creation process was for this song. Did they only have a short instrumental and did they have to compromise with the arrangement? Or were they actually on site making the song from ground-up? Regardless, I think they should've extended the verses, perhaps doubling them each time since repetition legitimizes, we would want to hear and expect things to happen in order to get a feel for the song. Maybe they could've made a different chorus section and extended the chorus to fill that as well? I tried to section off the different parts of the song so Intro -> Chorus -> Verse -> Pre-Chorus -> Chorus -> Verse -> Pre-Chorus -> Chorus -> Outro. And then extending whatever I felt could've been extended which was the verses and the choruses, I did feel like they could've gotten away with actually doing this because this would result in a longer runtime (3:12) instead of (2:35). With the lack of different parts and material, I mostly fitted and exchanged vocal parts like a puzzle to fit the arrangement. I also added some random effect layers and more drums because I was just playing around, I don't know if that would necessarily make or break this song. Original Arrangement New Arrangement Anyways, point being, the runtime of the song does not allow for certain arrangements obviously, it does feel like they shortened things to a point where it feels unsatisfying. Not necessarily because the song has any super boring parts but the absence of change and movement that could've been held longer in those verses, makes this a little boring. There's not a lot of contrast because of this. But yeah, for those that have a hard time formulating words when it comes to giving constructive opinions on music, hopefully I made some sense and that you got something out of this explanation about how the runtime of a song can or will dictate the natural progression and arrangement of a song itself. Super Shy is still a decent song but I did not expect this from them, I did in fact expect something much more. They could've probably pushed the envelope a bit. Some would say it's unfair to have high expectations but, I'm just expressing what I feel about the song and I'm taking into account that this is not just from any Garage, DnB, Breakbeat, "Pinkpantheress" act. I have high expectations because why wouldn't I? NewJeans has a great discography that I still listen to to this day. And they've been consistently great. As a whole though, I can't comment on the album obviously because it's not out yet, but for Super shy, it gets a decent: OK/10. EDIT: If you want to listen to the longer edit I made here's a SoundCloud link: https://on.soundcloud.com/Ccdy8 submitted by /u/he_johe to r/NewJeans [link] [comments]
