Has the packaging for Powecom Kn95 masks improved at all?
Hi all, I'm looking to purchase some KN95 masks for my family, and I'm leaning towards Powecom KN95s as they're within my price range. Additionally, I'm looking to start off with a 10-count package so I can see if they work effectively, and if they do, I can purchase more. However, when I watched AccuMed Tech's review of the KN95 masks, they indicated that the packaging wasn't as secure as most other masks, as the bottom of the package was only sealed with a small sticker. I'm concerned that anyone could easily peel off the sticker and tamper with the masks, then "seal" the package back up as if it were new. Powecom KN95 Face Mask Review I also haven't come across any other clear pictures of the 10-count packages that display the bottom, so I'm just wondering if this was ever improved. Thank you very much in advance! submitted by /u/AtomixCode to r/Masks4All [link] [comments]

Where and how can a low income Senior get face masks?

What is the effective usable area of a face mask?
This is a face mask. After I covered my face with a black substance and put it on, the upper edge of the mask was covered in the black substance. This means that these areas are in close contact with the skin. This happens with most masks because they rely on the edge area for sealing. This is also why I'm only interested in studying framed masks. I will test the overall performance of this mask, and the actual ventilation area performance of only the middle section (I did the same experiment three years ago). The test will use the KN95/N95 loaded filtration efficiency method, and the data will be released in two weeks. This experiment can explain why most masks have relatively high breathing resistance when worn, and also explain why some mask manufacturers exaggerate their data. submitted by /u/zhouliang to r/Mask_World [link] [comments]

Friends, we need to have a talk about going out in public sick.
Stay home if you can, if you can't, just wear a mask so you don't transmit to others who don't want your germs. Everywhere I go, people are coughing, sniffling, hacking up a lung, and complaining about how everyone's sick. And no, it's not just old people and snotty kids, it's us. It's gross. It's inconsiderate. A lot of the "just allergies" and "just a sniffle" y'all are going out in public with, are covid. We had a whole pandemic to learn better behaviors from and it's like everyone has amnesia about it. Most of us can't afford to stay home for an entire week if we've been sick. If you can, that's great, but if you can't stay home the entire period of contagiousness (which is usually 1-2 days before symptom onset to 5-10 days after onset, for most respiratory viruses), please wear a mask. A kn95 is appropriate. Cloth masks are better than nothing, but kn95s will protect other people much more. Everyone is sick because everyone is going out in public sick and unmasked, it's that simple. Also, wearing a high-quality mask can protect you from getting sick from others, even if no one else is masking. Get an air purifier for your office. There are tools to protect ourselves and each other, but hardly anyone is using them, and we're stuck in this death spiral of constant illness. Yes, People Really Are Getting Sick More Often After Covid Is one-way masking enough? "Face masks work best to prevent the spread of SARS-CoV-2 when everyone wears one. But experts say it is still worth wearing a mask to protect yourself, even if no one else does." Please stop. Show some respect for other people. Your "just a sniffle" could be a death sentence for an elder, baby, or immunocompromised person. A missed week of work to illness could mean eviction for someone. Not to mention Long Covid. We can do better than this. You can get some fun colored kn95s at: A Mask America Trusts™ Powecom® KN95 Edit for clarity: I thought I was clear about this but once again, I'm not shaming people who can't afford to stay home from work when sick. Just wear a mask. And this isn't just people in essential places, plenty of y'all are going to concerts and bars coughing too. submitted by /u/PrissyPeachQueen to r/Millennials [link] [comments]

Is there a place that would accept a case of cotton face masks as a donation?
Hi r/rva, The organization I work for has a big box of these fabric face masks that we purchased in 2020, and we no longer need them. We'd like to donate them to someone or someplace in the RVA (or surrounding) area that would use them, if possible, but I'm not sure where that would be! There are probably ~150 masks in the box, in sealed bags of 5 masks each. Since they are not KN95 or comparably-rated PPE, I don't imagine any healthcare settings would want them, though perhaps I'm wrong? Do you have any suggestions for settings or orgs that might want them? They're washable, cotton, do not contain disposable/changeable filters. Thanks in advance for your help! (The attached pictures that include packaging are actual photos of the box I have. The two pictures with a white background are stock photos of an equivalent product, since I didn't want to open any of the plastic packaging.) https://preview.redd.it/1aed4fmfipzf1.png?width=1098&format=png&auto=webp&s=00a569203cb44c1bf68ccf12f6ab717845824701 https://preview.redd.it/54a1efmfipzf1.png?width=1136&format=png&auto=webp&s=108e0c666d42610e36b8cd838e590f295cb83b6f https://preview.redd.it/6fx6momjipzf1.jpg?width=3024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=0b625df2f1bf0d35481d62b4ab16a8993186772d https://preview.redd.it/nojt2pmjipzf1.jpg?width=4032&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=d2e6ee9e077273e183d404a97acde47f3d6c2f72 submitted by /u/mistyblue110 to r/rva [link] [comments]

Good KN95 style mask useful for 8 hour daylong landscape maintenance work in hot, humid, dusty, dirty conditions
Tldr ; what's a good mask that comes individually sealed, doesn't break the bank and does a good job of keeping dust and dirty conditions away from my lungs? The ones pictured used to be my go to but not anymore. I used to use these HALIDODO Individually Wrapped, 60 Packs KN95 Face Mask, 5-Ply Breathable Comfortable Safety Mask with Over 95% Filtering because they were 50 for $25 and USED to do an excellent job of being highly breathable, strong ear loops that didn't break after 8 hours of grueling work or ever give me a runny nose despite some hot humid dusty conditions . I'm in Florida for reference. Also they came individually sealed which was a huge plus I only needed one mask MAYBE 2 to last me 8 hours This was as of July 2025 when my last GOOD box from them lasted me until now. Now some dumb bean counter changed the price to 15 for 50 and they are absolutely the worst things in the planet. Atroucious filtration, couldn't keep a face seal longer than 30 seconds, filtration is worse than uncovered, and the ear loops break at the slightest stretch. I have to use maybe 3 a day now, minimum, to accomplish what 1 or 2 used to do. I used to buy these religiously since Covid-19 but now I can't handle anymore runny nose anymore and my allergies kicking up. For my work I put my mask on first, followed by these awesome 3M anti-fog, anti-dust eyeglasses that allow my eyes to "breathe" and dissipate heat and lastly a Mission brand Neck Gaiter to completely seal the mask and also helps cool incoming air. This 3 step process has kept me working in some brutal conditions but with these masks being worse than bad I need help. Please help. I found these masks through Armburst YouTube video and at the time they showed they were highly breathable and filtered very well. The price and individually sealed factor made me stand by these for damn near 5 years until now. submitted by /u/O_O___XD to r/Masks4All [link] [comments]

Who still wears a mask (😷)?
Not here to judge anyone that doesn’t at all. Just feeling lonely in still wearing a face mask (N95 or KN95) in indoor public settings to avoid long-term risks and wondering if there are any other spiritual people out there that do. Just needing a moment of not feeling alone and like an outcast. If you do still mask, I’m curious where (you can be general for safety purposes) you are located in the world. Sending love to all of you. 🩷 Edit: I feel so so so moved. 😭 I hope others feel less alone too. So grateful for everyone. submitted by /u/Fresh_Mobile to r/WitchesVsPatriarchy [link] [comments]

Why is everyone so critical?
Ok, stay with me because I think this topic is a sensitive one and I’m not sure how much it’s talked about and it makes me so sad and I don’t know what to do. I used to be SUPER active in the CC community. I’m disabled and it felt great to have other people like me give a crap about what is happening in the world. But, recently, my CC friends have gotten really critical of me and how I live my life. I had to get a full time public-facing job and I get crap for it constantly. I used to work from home but I got laid off. People in my life (real and online) just keep bringing up how “unsafe my behavior is”. But I mask everywhere and never eat at restaurants and never unmask outside. I even skip meal breaks at work to do everything I can to be safe. And yet, CC people keep finding ways that I’m unsafe to be around and don’t want to hang out with me anymore. Two of my CC friends stopped talking to me because I got a public facing job. They said I was “too risky” to hang out with. What?! So I’ve pretty much left all CC spaces now. I’m so tired of being judged so critically and being told I’m not wearing the right mask (it’s a Powecom KN95 and it’s the only comfortable one I can wear for 10 hours) or that I don’t test enough or that I’m doing risky things like going grocery shopping. Ugh it just feels like endless nagging. So I dipped. This is the only place I still engage with CC people and it sucks but I just can’t stand having something constantly “wrong” with what I’m doing based on opinion. Can anyone relate or am I just being whiny? I don’t know what I’m doing wrong but I think I have the ick and it sucks. submitted by /u/Party-Dragonfly8995 to r/ZeroCovidCommunity [link] [comments]

Are face masks allowed?
First timer here. Obviously the dress code states no costume/full face masks, but would a cloth medical mask or KN95 be okay? Lightweight Mask for Narrow Face and Long Thin Nose?
Go easy on me with this request. Anyone with a similar face/nose shape find a KF94/KN95 boat style mask that is easy to breathe in (that isn't a WellBefore or Posh)? I usually use the WellBefore Pro KF94 style masks in lower risk situations (e.g., outside in a non-crowded park) but I'm finding them harder to breathe in lately and am looking for something lighter weight that is also an ear loop mask for those lower risk situations. I have a very narrow skull/face and a long thin European nose so it's been challenging as it feels like most masks are for different face/nose shapes than mine. I have to buy a small/kids mask and sometimes those are too wide and don't quite fit right with an ear saver nor tightening the ear loops. For indoors, I do well with the 3M Aura (all color straps) and as long as I double strap them on the top of my head it will pass a fit test, but ear loop masks are a challenge for my face shape and I don't want to wear a N95 outdoors in a lower risk situation nor can I use tape for my extremely fragile skin. Just looking for something comfortable and lightweight for my face/nose. I've tried so many mask brands and none worked. POSH was the worst for me as it seems to be for people with wider shorter noses and wider faces (as compared to mine). submitted by /u/Familiar_Culture_278 to r/Masks4All [link] [comments]

Australian Mask Recommendations - Small Face
Hi all! I'm running out of my KN95 masks which I bought in Finland, and have tried the P2 respirators from Chemist Warehouse, however they're simply too big for my face and gap around the nose. As someone with low income, does anyone have any good + cheap masks recommendation that are either locally available in Australia, or have reasonable / free shipping? Max I am looking to spend is $2 a mask, if possible :-) submitted by /u/PerfectDebt6671 to r/Masks4All [link] [comments]

Anyone else still wear face masks in public?
I’m diagnosed with Level 2 ASD & inattentive ADHD. I never stopped wearing face masks in public since the pandemic started. I’m extremely avoidant and anxious around others. Always have been. Being perceived feels a lot less awful with a mask on. It brings down my social anxiety and makes it so much easier to function in public. It’s been very accommodating in that sense. I use black powercom kn95’s. Fortunately I’m in a very blue state. Mask wearing isn’t really looked down upon here. The protection against viruses/long covid/allergens isn’t even my main reason. It’s just a bonus atp. I live alone and WFH, and I haven’t gotten sick once since 2021 (to my knowledge since some people are asymptomatic). submitted by /u/thelovelyylilith to r/AuDHDWomen [link] [comments]

KN95 mask that is consistently good
Hello, I am hoping someone can recommend a KN95 mask that is consistent in their manufacturing and quality. I bought what I thought was a good mask from Amazon late last year; there were 50-60 in a box and individually wrapped, but when I reordered the same recently, the material of the mask and the nose wire had become noticeable thinner--so much so that the nose metal would no longer keep its shape or snug to my nose/face. I have seen some of the videos from Aaron Collins, but I wanted to see if anyone else has direct recommendations. Thank you submitted by /u/MentalResponse11 to r/Masks4All [link] [comments]

Light face mask for outdoor use against pollen
It's pollen season and I'm going on walks pretty often wearing my usual kn95 that I wear whenever I'm inside somewhere (wellbefore mask). But I'm super intolerant to heat, and the kn95 gets very warm in the hot weather! Does anyone know of any light, thin masks that I can wear while I'm outside that will only filter out pollen and let me breathe a bit easier? Of course busy areas will still be getting the kn95, this is more for walks through my neighborhood where no one's around. Bonus points if the pollen mask is black as that is the only color I wear... submitted by /u/antifa_ceo to r/Masks4All [link] [comments]

Face Masks: one of the biggest form of solidarity that you can actively do is wearing an N95 or KN95 face mask while going out.
In my opinion, one of the biggest indicators of whether or not you're leftist in praxis is if you're continuing to wear a face mask while going out or at events. The pandemic has continued to rage on in what the ruling class has deemed a new normal, despite the infectiousness and capacity for people to become disabled from said infection. If you won't wear something as simple as a face mask for whatever reason, it makes me question how devoted you are to the movement. It literally is that simple. This was prompted by seeing over 300 member's of NYC DSA 101 get together for a meeting, with not a mask in sight. Edit: If you can't even be bothered to wear a mask, what makes you think you'll be of any help when the going actually gets difficult? Again, masking is the bare minimum to show you care. Edit 2: I highly recommend many of you look into the work of disabled leftist activists and advocates, such as Alice Wong, Imani Barbarin and Tinu Abayomi-Paul. submitted by /u/Stormpax to r/leftist [link] [comments]
