Help me pick my engagement ring! 💍🙏
My wonderful partner proposed yesterday ❤️ he proposed with this beautiful wedding band & made an appointment so that we could go ring shopping together today! I think I am leaning towards marquise cut, but was surprised by some of the rings that I liked (always thought I didn't like halos or rectangular shapes, but ended up liking them on my hand lol). Which ring do you think looks best on my hand and with my wedding band?! 💍 I would likely get the halo ring center stone a bit smaller, and the metal would be yellow gold for any of them. submitted by /u/mysticalorbit to r/RingShare [link] [comments]

I don’t like my engagement ring
My boyfriend and I decided to custom make my engagement ring. I specifically wanted a Dutch marquise brilliant cut lab grown diamond in the 2–3 carat range. We found a great jeweler who was able to create exactly what we had in mind. When we received the initial sketch, it looked absolutely beautiful and exactly what we both wanted. However, we recently received a video of the finished diamond and I’m not sure I like it. I can’t tell if it has a noticeable bowtie effect or if they combined a step cut with a brilliant cut, but it doesn’t look like the brilliant cut Dutch marquise I envisioned. Now I’m feeling unsure about what to do. We really don’t want to wait much longer, and we’ve considered selling the diamond and sourcing a new one elsewhere. Engagement Rings Shapes: how to choose without regretting it?
Scrolling through engagement rings shapes online has me losing my mind. Cushion, emerald, marquise… each one looks gorgeous but I can’t pick. Did anyone here pick a non-traditional shape and not regret it? Trying to avoid buyer’s remorse before dropping serious cash. submitted by /u/Rich-Infortion-582 to r/WeddingRingAdvice [link] [comments]

Marquise opinion?
My boyfriend has been begging me to pick out a ring (he knows how particular I am). I’ve had my eyes on this one for a bit. Does anyone have something similar? My biggest concern is regretting the marquise shape because I’ve been told it snags a lot. Does anyone with a marquise regret having that shape? I’m open to any and all opinions Also, I can’t decide if I should do the petite diamond distance band (shown above) or I should stick to a simple thin gold band. submitted by /u/Puzzleheaded-Chip832 to r/EngagementRings [link] [comments]

Let’s see your marquise/dutch marquises with price!
My partner and I are starting to look at rings; I got this cheap one off amazon for about $20 that is a 3.5 karat marquise with a gold band and fell in love. I like the look of the size, meaning I don’t need it to be a 3.5 karat diamond actually if it looks kind of that size on me (i have a size 5 finger if that helps lol). I’m curious what others have paid for around this size? Our budget is around 3k or so and I’m just worried the size I want will be over budget. Let’s see them rings yall!! submitted by /u/Confident-Voice435 to r/EngagementRings [link] [comments]

Finally engaged! 5ct marquise 💍
Hi everyone — longtime lurker, first-time poster. I recently got engaged and wanted to share my ring. It’s a 5 carat marquise diamond set in a minimal platinum setting with a hidden halo. I tried a few different sizes and was surprised that this proportion felt the most balanced on my hand. The marquise shape really elongates the finger and feels elegant without being over-the-top. My ring size is 6. Happy to answer any questions and would love to hear thoughts from this community! It’s a lab grown diamond🤍 submitted by /u/alg52 to r/EngagementRings [link] [comments]

Finally got my custom engagement ring!!
I am OBSESSED!!! So happy with how it turned out!! It was definitely worth the wait!! Thank you to Pacula Diamonds in Fort Wayne, IN!! The design was inspired by Oore Jewelry. I’ve been obsessed with her pieces for years and I had something in mind that she hadn’t done yet. I showed my idea to Rich, he brought it to life, and I couldn’t be happier! The blue stones are the color of my fiancé’s birthstone (aquamarine) which is also my favorite color, and the gold is for his favorite color (yellow). The color pops and sparkles perfectly even in my office lighting! Our wedding bands will likely also have these two colors incorporated, and our handfasting cord for our wedding is aqua blue and gold. Ring details Center stone: 11x7mm (3ct), elongated old mine cut, lab diamond from Ouros Jewlery Side stones: marquise lab diamonds (3x1.5mm I believe) Accent stones: 2mm aqua irradiated lab diamonds Metal: 14k yellow gold (I think, need to double check because we didn’t actually talk about it during the design process. We said yellow gold and he just kinda used his expertise and went with it lol) submitted by /u/Alternative_Form211 to r/EngagementRings [link] [comments]

WIBTA if I wore my old engagement ring?
Backstory- I was engaged a couple years ago, now I am not. I am seeing someone and he’s amazing. Anyway, my engagement ring was my grandmas old wedding ring. It’s a beautiful marquise diamond with a gold band. She passed several years ago & it was handed down to me. I recently was cleaning and found the ring box with the engagement band (grandmas ring) and my wedding band I was going to use. I just stared at it. Her ring was is so so beautiful and she is no longer alive. I don’t want it to sit forever in a box, it deserves to be seen. But is it also weird to wear it because it WAS used as an engagement ring? I don’t want to be disrespectful of my current partner either. What i be an asshole if I wore it? Obviously not on my ring finger. submitted by /u/SomeonesIBSdemon to r/AmItheAsshole [link] [comments]
