Is Microneedling trending?

Yes. Microneedling growing with a month-over-month change of 4.14% over the past 5 years, with approximately 165,000 monthly searches.

This is a seasonal trend that peaks every February. The seasonal demand is forecasted to grow over the next year.

Why is Microneedling trending?

1
Stimulates Collagen Production
Microneedling triggers the body's natural healing response, which includes the production of collagen and elastin. These proteins help to improve the texture and firmness of the skin, reducing the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.
2
Improves Skin Texture
Microneedling can help to improve the texture of the skin by reducing the appearance of acne scars, stretch marks, and other types of scarring. It can also help to reduce the size of pores and improve overall skin tone and texture.
3
Non-Invasive
Microneedling is a non-invasive procedure that does not require any incisions or injections. This makes it a safer and less painful alternative to other cosmetic procedures, such as laser resurfacing or chemical peels.
4
Minimal Downtime
Microneedling has minimal downtime, with most patients experiencing only mild redness and swelling for a few days after the procedure. This makes it a convenient option for those with busy schedules.
5
Cost-Effective
Microneedling is a cost-effective alternative to other cosmetic procedures, such as laser resurfacing or dermal fillers. It can provide similar results at a fraction of the cost.

HELP MICRONEEDLING AFTER???
Does anyone know or can give any advice as to what happened to me. I went in for micro-needling Dec 6. Everything was fine at first and then I scabbed and peeled really intensely. It is now day 11 (December 17) and I am super dark as shown in the video last pic was today. I also started all new products the day after to create a new regime because I am looking for new products to use. I’ve always used tatcha before. After micro-needling I used •bldg active skin repair spray • la roche-posay cicaplast • la roche-posay spf • dr. Reju-all pdrn • cerave hydrating facial cleanser A few days after my skin scabbed off I was very red and began to get darker and darker. My esthetician told me to start putting vitamin e on my face every day and night. I’m not sure if it’s getting lighter or I am just getting more used to seeing my face like this. Christmas is 7 days away and I am feeling so ugly. What should I do? submitted by /u/Mellyggt to r/Microneedling [link] [comments]

Microneedling - holy shit
So after successful botox'ing, I thought I'd try my hand at microneedling. Ftr I have terrible, TERRIBLE acne scars, very large pores and lower face lines that I'm not keen on putting botox around for fear of making it worse. I also have had a nasty sore throat and have been a bit for meh this week. Not ideal in hindsight. I also have a terrible habit of doing everything in an all or nothing kind of mindset. Also not ideal. I did tons of research and bought the Derminator 2 and all the bits and bobs. Mapped out my face with the depths of needle and numbed the most scarred parts only so I could go deeper on those. I did it yesterday morning and my GOD, what a traumatic experience. I am a bleeder - if I have blood tests or injections I tend to squirt blood out of the entry point - let me tell you, this microneedling session was like something out of a horror film. Granted, I did go deeper than most would - 1mm on my 'normal' areas (not the upper lip though coz that was v painful), and 2mm on my cheeks where the worst scars are, but omg the blood. It was literally pouring off my face. I probably should've stopped within 2 minutes but I told myself it was probably me being a bad bleeder and you've started so you may aswell finish. The rest of the day yesterday was hell. It wasn't painful at all, but the uncomfortableness was unbearable and I spent the day pretty depressed, and traumatised tbh. I put a lanolin based tattoo care ointment on my skin after 3 hours which just made it look so so much worse. By bedtime I had to try and get some water on it because I felt so disgusting - I super gently wiped tepid water over it in the shower which didn't do much as lanolin doesn't budge, but it would do for now, spritzed with saline when i got out and reapplied the tattoo care stuff thinly. A terrible night's sleep ensued, I can't sleep unless I lie on my front so lying upright was torturous. "Woke" up this morning feeling disgusting, weak, feverish, uncomfortable, but I have felt awful most days waking up in the last week due to the illness I've had. The face situation defo didn't help and might have even been the main reason I felt so shit. It's barely any less red (purple in parts) today and I've just not known what to do with myself all day. I wish I had a time machine to zoom forward 7 days. I look absolutely terrifying and it's got quite a lot of tiny white spots (ftr I was super super careful with hygiene) and shiny scabby bits. I've spent the day chatting to chatgpt and it's clear I went way too fast, way too soon. I don't know how it's going to pan out for me, but please please, be really careful with microneedling. submitted by /u/CurrentRecording5589 to r/DIYaesthetics [link] [comments]

8 week update after 3 sessions.
Sometimes I look at myself in the mirror and wonder if it’s been worth all the money I’m investing, because my face isn’t where I want it to be just yet, and then I make these Before and After collages…the progress is undeniable. Left is before ANY microneedling. Right is today, 8 weeks after my third session. On sessions 2 and 3 I was able to add on rejuran (sperm dna) to the treatments as I wanted to take advantage of a 50% offer they’re having. The day after tomorrow I have another scheduled session where rejuran will also be added. Then I plan on getting 2 more plain MN treatments since that offer ends Sept 30. These photos were taken by the exact same window at around the same time of the day. I’m wearing tinted moisturizer in both but nothing else. I have been incorporating hyaluronic acid to my daily routine since I started this MN journey 4 months ago. Also, I don’t know if it does anything but I add a collagen supplement to my coffee every morning. Feel free to look at my previous post where I detail some more about these sessions I’ve done. Just wanted to post an update as some people requested, and I plan on doing it as I continue to do the next 3 sessions. submitted by /u/Recent-Rent4917 to r/Microneedling [link] [comments]

Is this normal after potenza rf microneedling?
I had gotten potenza radio frequency microneedling done for the first time 3 days ago, and this is what my skin currently looks like. I had used nothing but a ceramide moisturizer after treatment for the last few days. Last night it was so itchy, I was having trouble sleeping. The itch was so bad this morning that I had to take a reactine. The raised bumps are slightly concerning since I’ve had previous dermatitis reactions to my face and am prone to cold sores as well, although no flare ups at the time of treatment. I’ve contacted the aesthetician and she said this was a normal response, but her attempt to push products at me to purchase and wanting to book me in for other treatments are making me a bit cynical about her advice. Am I overreacting? How long is the itching and bumpiness supposed to last?? submitted by /u/frazzledmouse to r/Microneedling [link] [comments]

Microneedling grid marks?
I’ve been working with the doctor at a med spa for the last six months to ensure my skin is at its best for my wedding on August 2. After years of playing soccer outside and not listening to my mom when she told me to reapply sunscreen, my sun spots are really not great. On May 24, I had RF micro needling done on my face. Immediately following and for about a week after the treatment I had pinprick “scabs” in a grid mark pattern all over my face. After about a week, the “scabs” went away, and my skin was clear. On July 24, I had a moderate chemical peel. I was really happy with the results of the chemical peel and feel like it definitely lifted some of the pigment from the sun spots under my eyes. Today, I noticed that Rfmy grid marks are back, however, rather than little scabs, they look like little sun spots/freckles… My fiancé mentioned that she had noticed the grid marks in the past, but that today they were definitely more prominent. The only thing that I can think of is that I played soccer outside on Sunday and got more sun exposure than I have in many months (with spf 70 on) and yesterday I went on a walk without a hat on. Outside of that, I did restart my skin medics Even and correct serum at night about 10 days ago. My sister thinks that the doctor was heavy-handed and I am left with scarring. The doctor says she has never heard of it going away and then coming back. I am not and have never done any needling/rolling of my skin on my own at home. The only needling I have ever done is on May 24. At this point, I feel worse about my skin than I did six months ago, and I get married in less than three weeks. I am not a beauty or skin care girl… any recommendations, advice, products, etc. would be incredibly appreciated. I’m at a loss. Thank you so much. submitted by /u/Additional_Gap104 to r/beauty [link] [comments]

A doctor told me microneedling will actually increase wrinkles long term. Is this true?
He said basically old skin is due to lack of elastin, and a bigger collagen to elastin ratio because cells can't produce enough elastin anymore. So old skin is due to more collagen to elastin. So adding more collagen doesn't help with getting a good skin, it makes it older. It makes it less elastic and more rigid and so yes those pen indeed, stimulate collagen production, but it will end up making you look older. But then I see all this stuff here and on the internet. Maybe he is misinformed? Is there evidence one way or another? (For those asking, he isn't a skin doctor, just a general doctor at a local clinic commenting when I told him I've use a microneedle stamp.) submitted by /u/Alex45223 to r/Microneedling [link] [comments]

I’ve achieved my current results using Finasteride, Stress reduction, a good Vitamin D status, Minoxidil, and Microneedling ( the key to restoring the hairline) These days, I’ve stopped microneedling (it’s been many months now), and I’m only using Finasteride and Minoxidil – and I’m really happy with where I am. My hair is thicker, my hairline is fuller, and I feel much more confident. I’ve also taken hair care seriously: I treat my hair well, I take care of it, I brush it, I show it love – honestly, I worship it now. If you’re struggling with hair loss, I would absolutely recommend trying this path before even thinking about a transplant. I’m so glad I stuck with it. I truly believe that anyone here can regrow their hair – with patience and consistent effort. Hair doesn’t grow back overnight, or even within a few months. Because of the resting (telogen) phases and the nature of the hair cycle, you really need to wait a long time to see solid results. But if you stay consistent and don’t give up, it’s absolutely possible. I’m not posting this to flex or show off my results – not at all. I’m sharing this to motivate all of you and to show you that it’s possible. You can make real progress without a hair transplant. I’ve been there, I know how frustrating it can be – but I also know that with the right approach and patience, change is absolutely possible. with Love , P ! submitted by /u/One-Persimmon3908 to r/tressless [link] [comments]

When microneedling changed my life
I do micro needling pretty regularly. About three times a year - actually just got one yesterday🙂 These pictures are from my first microneedling. January 2022. Just wanted to share in case you’re wondering if you should do it. It literally reversed my skin damage and aging. I didn’t even know my skin looks so bad until I got microneedling done. submitted by /u/Independent-Buy-2954 to r/Microneedling [link] [comments]

Got my first prp microneedling done and I’m not sure if it’s normal
Hello! I did my first micro needling today. However I noticed that instead of it being dots/punctures, it looks alot like deep scratches. I tried contacting the clinic and they said it is only because they went deeper into my skin because of my dark spots and said it was perfectly normal. However most images I see do not look like this. Is this normal? submitted by /u/EmotionDull3928 to r/Microneedling [link] [comments]

Update: I did microneedling back in Jan 20th. I feel my face has changed, worsened texture, and possible enhanced face drooping and jowls from one session. Needles were .5 .75 and 1. What do you guys think? Pictures from beginning to now. I want to do a TCA peel to fix texture. No before photos :/

Let's do poll. How many here have had microneedling that actually had visible improvement?
At home, or in office? Feel free to also share about other procedures done, or any bad experiences as well. submitted by /u/Innerpeace57 to r/30PlusSkinCare [link] [comments]

15 months total on Dut/Min/RU and microneedling 1mm every other week
My hair has improved a lot over the last 15 months of treatment, but it’s still not thick enough to grow anything past a short buzz. In another 4-6 months, I’m gonna look into the possibility of a transplant, as I have some money saved up. Treatment is 70mg ru once a day, 5mg oral min, topical min twice a day, dutasteride 0.5mg, ketoconazole twice a week, and 1mm derma roller every couple weeks. submitted by /u/Aggravating_You7654 to r/tressless [link] [comments]

Researchers develop new device modeled on leeches for taking blood samples using microneedles and a suction cup instead of a large needle. It is low cost, helps people with needle phobia, reduces risk of needlestick injuries and can be used by people without medical training.

No more needles - Engineers developed a microneedle patch that can be applied to the skin, capture a biomarker of interest and allow clinicians to detect its presence. It is low cost, easy for clinicians or patients themselves to use, and nearly pain-free.
