STORYTIME: I was looking into different Mp3 players for a while, I ordered many on Amazon, sent them back, ordered more... but none were to my liking. My budget has always been limited, and I honestly was, and am terrified to spend a ton of money on an Mp3 Player that I may not even like. I looked at name brand models, some expensive, some not. I considered buying an old ipod and modifying it (I still might do this at some point just because) Finally one mp3 player caught my attention.. the innioasis Y1. I love the design, style, colors, and capabilities, but I was hesitant to purchase. I had been looking into a few different models, but kept coming back to the innioasis. Finally I heard that innioasis is working on the Y2, so now I'm torn. Buy the y1 or wait for the y2... y'know what?...I'm gonna bite the bullet and try this cheaper model while I wait. how bad could it be... ...It's one of the BEST purchases I have ever made on an Mp3 player. And it didn't even cost much. Just $30!!! REVIEW: It works on an older processor, but is a SOLID player. The quality is INSANE! especially with wired headsets (which I've always liked) (the earbuds it came with are "tin-y" trash) the interface is easy to use. for the price I am surprised, but happy that it can display Album art. (so long as its 1000 pixels or less, and encoded to ISO-something. this was a learning curve for me when it came to mp3 files) I've never had a player that could do this. The material its made of is a mix of plastic and metal which gives it a hefty feel to hit, which I quite like. It feels like a "professional" piece of audio equipment... if that makes sense? It has 64gb internal storage and claims that it can only hold a 128gb SD/TF card, but I've been using a 256gb one and have had no issues. I also like how you can simply select it to play ALL of your songs, either In order or shuffle, which I do when I cant decide what to listen too. It has a really good Radio option (with aux plugged in) its Auto-tuning function is better than my radio! It also has one of the greatest features... locking. it has a physical switch for locking the buttons, I appreciate this sooo much! Finally the battery life is INSANELY good! I work 10 hour shifts and as long as the screen is "off" it barely dips halfway into the battery life. All in all. Helloooo, I saw a post on another sub recently that had the SnowSky Echo Mini, and seeing as how my bday is coming up I was curious into getting myself a little treat (since I'm trying to move away from using my phone for everything). However after a bit more digging I don't quite think the Echo Mini has all the features I would like to have, and so I would like to ask in advance what MP3 players are out there that would fit my criteria. My ideal MP3 player would: Be able to fit in a pocket. Isn't too difficult to use (just shove the MP3 files into a card, put the card into the MP3 player, listen to music). NEEDS to have a shuffle function. Has a headphone jack and can be charged (big asks, I know lol). Ideally would have some kind of equalizer (my songs don't really match in terms of audio levels, so something to make quiet songs louder and loud songs quieter would be excellent). NEEDS to be able to make playlists (this is the big one for me, I have a chill playlist and a general music playlist, and I want to be able to have both on one device for whatever situation I need without having songs from each intermingling with one another). Optional, but a replaceable battery would be pretty nice to have. Bonus points if it comes in a fun shape or package, like what the Echo Mini had. Bonus points if it's not too-too expensive (for reference, I am in Canada, and the Echo Mini was going for about $71 for me on Aliexpress). Things I can happily live without: A touch screen (Buttons are fun :D). Bluetooth (I don't need that, I have headphones). Other apps / Spotify (I never use spotify, and the whole point of this is to get away from my phone and social media lol). A camera (I just need music). Internet access (just not necessary). I’m looking for an mp3 player nothing too fancy but playing lossless would be nice, functionality and aesthetics over capability though I’d rather it be pretty and reliable than expensive and crazy capable. I'd like to purchase an MP3 player because i'm getting really tired of streaming services costing a bunch, having ads, and most dont have the random songs you find on a website made years ago lol. I'd prefer it just be small and simple, durable ya know? for working and am I able to screen record YouTube videos, convert it to an audio file, and download that to an mp3 player?
