Omnilux Men VS CurrentBody Series 2: How did you decide?
I narrowed down my category to: red light masks that feature the well studied 633 nm and 830nm wavelengths, plus one deeper wavelength. The field of available masks narrows down pretty dramatically with those requirements. So I'm deciding between the Omnilux Men and the CurrentBody Series 2. Editing to add: I don't think I could find their published irradiance numbers (thought I had, I was mistaken.) Did anyone figure that out? And, beyond the irradiance question, if these two masks were among your consideration set, how did you make your final decision? If it comes down strictly to price point, at the time of this post, Omnilux Men ($395) is winning against CurrentBody Series 2 ($469.) Two things I'm reading that might differentiate the CurrentBody Series 2: They claim their mask has been designed to be ultra flexible to fit a wider array of faces. Theoretically, the closeness of the mask to the skin can affect the performance? They also use VeriTace NFC tech that, apparently, allows you to tap close to your phone to verify the masks's specs. I get why that might be valuable if you're buying on a secondary market, but, if you're buying direct from the manufacturer, I'm not sure that's worth the additional spend. Bonus, question, if you ended up purchasing either of these particular models, what's been your experience thus far? submitted by /u/HorseTearz to r/redlighttherapy [link] [comments]

[PSA] Omnilux lawsuit??
Anyone know anything about this Omnilux lawsuit?? I bought one a couple of years ago because of Dr Dray hyping them up but it very quickly cause brown hyphenation spots on my face and chest and triggered a cold sore, which I haven’t had in 15 years since I was a kid. I haven’t used it since and am pretty upset about the wasted money. I’m interested in the lawsuit but would think it should be a class action?? submitted by /u/Montana_33 to r/SkincareAddiction [link] [comments]

Warning about Omnilux
Hello friends, I am posting this to warn any potential buyers of my dissatisfying experience with the Omnilux corporate brand. As a long time lurker I have been hesitant to invest the time and money into red light therapy. After reading lots of reviews and recommendations I decided to buy the Omnilux Men's mask last month. The product took two weeks to arrive but when it did I was impressed with the quality of the craftsmanship. For a $400 item it feels like a solid piece of equipment. This post is not a review of the product so I won't comment more than that. Unfortunately, the mask does not fit my face (and I would warn any men with beards to try a different product). This is where my journey began. First, the company puts front and center in bold font that returns must be within 30 days or no money back. Considering they are a luxury brand that is much more expensive than their rivals, I find the way they communicate off-putting, but okay.. if that's their policy then I will abide by it. In order to return the product, I went to their website and could not find any information on returns, there are literally no mentions of returns in my profile summary or purchase history. Instead, I had to contact customer service by filling out a form and waited two business days for them to email me back. With the clock ticking, this is already anxiety provoking. Then, when they did email me back, they sent a link to ANOTHER form to fill out with all of the same information I already put in. Then, I waited another two business days for them to email me a pre-paid label. They made sure to mention the label would come out of my return. I have now mailed the product back. I am guessing I will probably have to another two weeks before my return is processed and money given back (minus the fee!) Overall, I found the company's communications aggressive and overly convoluted, considering it is 2025 not 2015. I originally planned to purchase another mask for my girlfriend for Christmas however I do not plan to use any of their products again. Maybe this is a weird one-off, or maybe my expectations were too high? I would love to hear other people's experiences and if they feel differently. submitted by /u/High-Vibes-2024 to r/redlighttherapy [link] [comments]

Spent 30k+ On Lasers/Skincare - Here are My Hacks and Takeaways
Hi guys! *For title it should be Lasers/Skincare/Beauty Hacks *I have tan skin so lasers are a bit complicated due to risk of hyperpigmentation I.e. IPL not mentioned DISCLAIMER: PLEASE double check this with the science, before/afters, own skin and goals, and research articles. I'm not a dermatologist but a majority of my friend circle are physicians and we all do this anyhow before trying anything. I don't have time to cite articles etc and this is just MY experience SO I thought after spending so much money and buying all the overhyped products I should share what worked for me to reduce my skincare regimen and allow me to be makeup free for work. So I've been deep into skincare for a long time and I wanted to officially share it as a lot of my friends asked me to. We don't gatekeep here and I thought Reddit would be the best place. My background: I'm into digital portraits and it requires an understanding of good ratios of the face. I'm also into deep diving into skincare hacks like all of us. Here's what I think works off the top of my head. Procedures Ultraclear + Coring: forget ponytail facelifts, lip lifts, belphs, skinpinch, brow lifts, etc until you try this first. A good tech can get you the results you want. Ask to core where you want max lift. Make sure they pass with all the levels. It's painful so use your own numbing cream (I think some Russian brands are stronger available online), numb for a long time, and opt for the laughing gas or whatever. Make sure to have them use eye shields for your eyes. Have them core in the direction of the lift you want. Ask for a map of how they did it. You'll want 2-3 over a year to get the full lift you want. Nothing supersedes this procedure. For healing: 10% vinegar soaks + ointment + Benev exosomes + Alastin skin nectar. Hydroquinone to prevent spots from forming. Moxi Level 3: It works REALLY well but it's a baby compared to Ultraclear. Make sure to try level 3 for maximum lift. You can do a series of 3 if you're not ready for Ultraclear. Fontana 4D: It also works REALLY well and can contour your cheeks skin the buccal fat removal. Moxi Level3/Fontana 4D def made me hot again after 20lb weight loss causing signs of aging before my wedding. Again do a series of 3 for max results. Ultraclear did the most though, I would do all 3 until I die or go broke. BBL Laser: It works and makes you look like you have foundation on (and gets rid of under eye darkness) but because of techs fears of hyperpigmentation (a real fear) it's hard to find someone to do it. PRF/EZGEL: My under eyes looked better but also the swelling stretched out the skin so it also looks worse? Not worth it. PRF or PRP is useless, the gel is the only thing worth trying. Laser Hair Removal: Make sure they are using the newest machine that is practically painless, find a center that does a full body membership it's cheaper, you'll need 8-12 sessions. The painless one is worth it just get it done all over at Morpheus: painful and melts fat stay away. I did it 3 times, it got rid of my beautiful under eye fat pads, it slimmed my buccal fat, and it got rid of some acne though. It's not worth it due to pain and fat melting and lack of skin tightness effects it so claims. Katalyst EMS Suit >> Emsculpt: They cost the same and both work but you can keep Katalyst for life. Just use settings on abs/butt and get up to level 400, you can thank me later! I had Emsculpt 5X on butt and AB's, it works temporary, now we own. 2 Katalyst suits and they make sure fit whenever we want and honestly just as fast. Emsella: Amazing for sex drive and preventing or helping with prolapse issues! Also works for urinary issues post kids :). Do 6 sessions for prevention and amazing sex. Coolsculpt: Bullshit. Can burn skin btw. HIFU: Melts fat. But it works:) so use in the right areas. J Plasma: feels like lightening bolts attacking skin and limited outcome, stay away. PDO Threads: Forget it, painful, invasive, temporary. Omnilux Redlight Mask: Get the MENS version. It works. Jovs: it breaks apparently l but I'm gonna try it and update yall later. Also curious about Amiro devices given what they say they do/tech they use. ZIIP Halo + Silver Gel >Nuface: It works better than all the other main home microcurrent devices I've tried (nuface, medicube, 2 others on amazon) get the silver serum as daily easy skincare. Forget the other ones. Things on my list: Sofwave, Emface (per reviews sounds useless?), Syllifirm, Profound, comment and lmk I'll try it if it sounds safe and effective. Injections: Botox: Prevent wrinkles (but tbh this is BS until you have a baby line forming), get rid of wrinkles, shrinks muscle. What I've liked: TMJ/Jaw Slimming (30-50U per side), TRAP TOX (amazing and makes your neck longer), LIP FLIP, NOSE TIP, BROW LIFT (only do the tail of the brow not the whole brow) and PLATYSMA (prevents face sagging and actually works, prob the most underrated and important area for Botox!). Filler: Deep Lasers ("lift" = volume) >> Sculptra (natural body makes volume) >> Slow Down on Fillers >> Injector >> Price/Injectable. Fly to the right person LA, Miami, or New York. Make sure the area they inject, they do often. Treat multiple areas BUT WITH 1/3 THE ACTUAL DOSE you want and go again twice. This prevents the botched look. Dissolve overfilled lips, it hurts, but it's worth it. ALA/Glutathione/Vit C: Shrinks pores and evens out skin tone. Make sure to add ALA for max pore shrinking. It also helps regulate sugar. You can also opt for liposomal. Go to a reputable IV center and make sure to have labs to get ALA. Peels/SkinCare: 30%+ Glycolic Acid On Body - Fast way to clear scars and evens out skin tone. Start low and increase slowly to prevent a burn. TCA Peel - Amazing for anti-aging tbh. But go to a spa and have them do it (face or full body) because it's more serious. Musely Spot Cream - Amazing stuff if you're lazy like me and don't like to do 100 things. Combines all the stuff you want for face skincare. Apostrophe Triple Cream for Rosacea - Top 3 ingredients that work for rosacea in 1 bottle. Also look into low dose naltrexone. Also moxi or ultraclear helps. Benev Exosomes + Microneedling: Use for scars and face/body with a home microneedling pen (max the number of needles Dr Pen is good). Calecium Exosomes + Microneedling: A godsend for hair growth. Retinol Gel .1% + Stack With Hydration: get it prescribed. Level up to max %, look up how to layer with coconut oil/moisturizers/Benev to prevent the ugly phase (breakouts, dry skin). Don't need if have Musely spot cream or alternate days. Clindamycin/Benzyl Peroxide Compound Cream: Get it prescribed and store it fridge now. It's the only thing that reliably clears up my acne overnight (I've tried dozens of acne products over 16 years). Alastin Skin Nectar: My main moisturizer post laser. * Wanted to add for Daily I use Prakti Maha mask because it works like under eye filler almost when you stack it on and gets rid of my acne without extra stuff about 60-70% of the time. I combine with Clarins double serum or snail stuff just depends. Also considering plated exosomes. Ourself Lip Plumping: If you don't want lip filler or just want to maximize lip size try this brand it's from the makers of one of the actual fillers and it works. Minoxidil>Grandelash>Latisse: Latisse darks eyelids /under eyes and lose eye fat so stay away!! It's so hard to get that fat back!! Use castor oil for eyelash durability and oral minoxidil for eyelash growth. Pills: Oral Minoxidil: Max your eyelashes and hair volume Low Dose Accutane: Freeze eggs before doing this. Derm will prescribe for chronic acne especially if on back etc. It will also help reduce size of tip of nose if issues with rosacea or thick skin. Gets rid of acne but horrible side effects even at a low dose. Spirinolactone: NOT FOR ME - will give me headache, dehydration, makes me dumb because I'm so dehydrated, worse breakout for months, also just not worth taking this pill. It may work for others? Eyes: Lumify (duh) Hair: Nanoplastia > Keratin Straightening > KBond20 > Olaplex > Dyson Teeth: SMILE Whitening (in office dental procedure) INSANE will get you white instantly Request for double frequency teeth cleanings Purple Toothpaste = Safe Alternative to Home Teeth Whitening that works better Boka Nanohhydroxy Toothpaste (so you don't loose enamel) Toothbrush with Water Flosser Combined (another lazy girl hack) Therabreath (contains xylitol known to prevent cavities) Mind Hacks: TDCS headband :) works for insomnia, works for mood I'll copy past all my comments into above later I use Elemind headband + Calm Sleep Powder for sleep after having sleep issues - (don't want to take meds, Benadryl is very bad for long term health and linked to increased dementia risk) Multivitamin: Make sure it has 5 methylfolate not "folic" acid. Try pure encapsulations or if you want to eat food-source multi try TEND prenatal bar chocolate flavor. Vit D: Try to get level to 60-90 it's suppose to help with a lot of things including depression!! Alzheimer prevention! Even used by oncologists to decrese cancer risk!! I take 50k unit every week and recheck my level after a month to make sure it's atleast 80. I used to have depression. Astaxanthin: 2000x more potent antioxidant than Vit C. It can give you an orangish glow if you overuse or if you're aiming for that! I used to use Vit c and other antioxidants. Omega 3/DHA (fish derived not algae!): Take it or eat fish it's good for you. DHA 1000mg I've been using for 10 years and it makes me smarter and remember more for exams etc. Silica Drops + Collagen 10G Daily w Hylaronic Acid + 100G Protein Daily > Nutrafol > Biotin/Hair Nail Vitamins: yes the standard female nutrafol works, I prefer Minodixil it's faster and better for me and less big pills lol. 1G Water A Day - Eat good food, drink water. Take collagen, eat protein 100G daily, fat 50G daily. Otherwise this is useless. ADD POTASSIUM (prime powder packets) to SLIM FACE SWELLING. Add gua sha or lymph suction drainage also to help. Sauna/Ice Water on Face also works. Low Fat is a FAD - Hit 50G fat a day - obv is you need to optimize weight lower calories and cut inflammatory food like most non vegetable carbs. You can take a food allergy test also and optimize. For example no tomato skins, no onions for us. Exercise (weights good for bones: BUT for brain benefits it's only with aerobic workouts!): increased bdnf and prevents depression also improved blood flow from skin - look into the research and thank me later - you need to burn 1200cal a week to hit this Dairy Does Cause Breakouts - cut it out and see if there's a change for acne Colustrum: ARMRA works better than others but they all work. It's good for gut health aka good for skin. Seed Probiotic: the best strains here. Rosacea/Autoimmune Skin Stuff: Look into low dose naltrexone and astaxanthin. Autoimmune issues cause the face to look puffy! PCOS/Hunger Cravings: Inositol 6G powder or gummy inositol/myoinositol Vitamin: Tend Prenatal Bar (hate daily pills) Gummy CoQ10 200mg Tru Niagen NAD+ (gives me energy) OM matcha mushroom powder (this flavor specifically has a blend that makes me happy/laughing next day, I use when stressed) Silica Drops (makes my hair shiny, nails stronger within weeks) Zinc Picolinate 30mg (if sick or acne) Fisetin (or Qualia monthly) gets rid of dead cells I just feel good when I take it Vital Protein Collagen/Hylaronic Acid Dessicated Beef Liver or Shilajit (micronutrients) Multivitamin: Pure Encapsulations ONE I don't take pills daily except multivitamin or depending on my aim. But these are what work for me and what I've read that makes sense and I've tried without side effects and some benefit x Inpsitol is a miracle that everyone should know about it'll legit make you less anxious too Deodorant: Chlorella Liquid (removes body odor) > Native > Certaindri. want to try the weekly devices out there that actually stop sweating but weighing risks. Native covers me all day smelling good and I used to sweat through EVERYTHING. Nails: basic - sally hansen hard as nails clear (drop 3-4 magenta drops of any brand in for a natural pink nail look) - silica drops make nails tough af - only do RUSSIAN manicures they are magic thank me later SUN: the sun is your enemy for skincare, it's time to be aware of this all the time! Legally UV tint the max of your front car window (there's a way to uv protect without darkening so it's legal). Always wear long sleeves or a hat. Cover face with hand when walking and unprotected. I use supergoop clear sun stick because I'm lazy and it's a stick and doesn't have white caste. I'm sure there's better ones but this is the best clear stick I found. The powder makeup ones are BS and don't actually protect you. A HAT + Long Sleeves >> Weight Loss: I have a chubby face if my BMI is above 19 genetically. Find the BMI you need for optimizing your face. I drink all my water before eating. I drink black decaf with monk fruit (stevia is not as safe, Splenda is bad news) instead of lattes. I put all my food on a salad instead of rice. I don't eat grain carbs because it makes me bloated. I eat spinach daily because it has highest potassium (reduces face bloating). I try to have have less than 1.5G salt daily. I also make sure there is IODINE in my salt for my thyroid (pink salt is causing iodine deficiencies and thus thyroid issues!). No dairy because it gives me acne (try cashew milk 25 cal). I hit 100G protein via NATURAL NO POWDER sources. Then I sleep by getting my fat intake (50g) and veggies cooked with seasoning I like or whatever I want to eat (kind of a baby Intermittant fast but more lax). If I'm craving sweets I eat frozen fruit and add fake honey (monk fruit sweetened avail sprouts). If you made it this far, the most important thing is to be at a healthy weight, eat right, drink water, no alcohol (I've heard from friends: Passion flower extract "anxiety" > IV NAD (addiction)), no smoking(I've heard from friends: Chantix > Wellbutrin> Nicotine Patch > Tapering Nicotine Vape ), no all nighters (if insomnia look above TDCS headband elemind > Calm Sleep Powder > Sublingual Melatonin). This is all I could think of but I've tried a lot feel free to DM me. I've also deep dived into fertility and dementia stuff for friends/family! If you want reccs DM! You can fact check me but I research this stuff just like we all do so you'll find out or realize this is likely the consensus. submitted by /u/Mindmaster04129 to r/30PlusSkinCare [link] [comments]

Omnilux red light mask - is it worth it?
I was looking into LED masks and remembered seeing this one at my med spa for sale, I was kind of shocked by the price and went to Amazon to see if there were other options. There seems to be a lot of variability in prices. Is the Omnilux worth the price or are there better alternatives that give you the same results? submitted by /u/Persephone_luvs_u to r/30PlusSkinCare [link] [comments]

Omnilux isn't for everyone :(
Hi guys! I decided to buy the Omnilux after months of consideration, and lots of reading into it. I could only find a few criticisms that many people defended against, so I went forward with the purchase. However, there are a couple things that ended up being dealbreakers for me, which I only realized after having for a while. I kept it after the return period because I was really excited about the potential results, but a few months in, I wish I went with other options instead of just pushing through with it. The mask has definitely helped with some fine lines, but I hope girls with similar features read this and save a little heartbreak by skipping the Omnilux 😣 It only comes in one size, and fits smaller faces very awkward! I have a big (3") forehead, features that are closer together, as well as a short nose and chin, which I feel like are pretty common features for women. Because of this however, there's an inch of forehead that isn't covered. The LED lights on the mask are a 1/2" away from the edge, so there's 1.5 inches of my forehead that don't actually get light. If you look at my picture, you'd see there's no way for me to scoot it up without the mask directly touching my eye (and they're already getting squeezed & pulled down!) Ironically, I only have acne on the part of my forehead that isn't covered 😅 Could be my new bangs, could be the lack of LED lights... On top of this, my upper lip gets squished by the line under the nose... didn't think it was a big deal at first, but it gets really uncomfortable when you're using it twice a day, every day for months... I can force my lip to fit, but at the cost of stretching the skin in an even more uncomfortable way. I'm 5'4", but I'm pretty sure this mask wouldn't fit most my friends who are 5'1" and below. There's no lights in the area between the upper lip and nose. Maybe the white material helps refract the red light there?? But for me, it just seems pointless and even harmful because of the way it puts pressure on my lips. The LED lights are REALLY bright, and it can be really uncomfortable on my eyes sometimes. When it's on, and my eyes are closed, it reminds me of closing your eyes with the really bright sun beating on them, or going to the dentist without the sunglasses they give you, to protect from the super bright light they use over their patient's seat. Not very pleasant when you're using the mask before bed, or if you have sensitive eyes. Tldr: this mask could be great if your forehead is 2" or less, and have a nose that's 1.75-2" starting from the bottom of your eyes, so that the upper lip part doesn't bother you 🥲 but I can see it being very uncomfortable if your face is much bigger or smaller than these specific dimensions, which aren't mentioned on the website. In the future, I'd probably choose one of those masks that cover the whole face instead of going around the lips and nose, and also provides more eye protection than the omnilux. I think it definitely does what it's supposed to, but it's not worth $430 when it's this uncomfortable. Ps: I also bought the mini acne circle device, and it didn't do much for me either... submitted by /u/AdOriginal4889 to r/30PlusSkinCare [link] [comments]

Omnilux ruined my under eye area
I got an Omnilux in December for Christmas. My under eye wrinkles are so much worse. Nothing else in my routine has changed at all. I am heartbroken when I see the before and afters. I guess NIR can be bad for skin after doing extensive research. I’m so upset. Anyone else have this issue? Time for under prp or fillers? I don’t even know. submitted by /u/Trustfundxx to r/SkincareAddictionLux [link] [comments]

Do Not Waste Your Money on the OmniLux face masks!
I bought this piece of garbage for $400 from OmniLux directly a few months ago - it does NOT work! I bought the OmniLux Contour face mask after reading their reviews about it. Well, I have used it EVERY DAY since I purchased it, for 10 minutes a day sessions. It has not made a single bit of difference in skin tone, texture, spots, fine lines, nothing! It's garbage and does not work. And, they only have a 30 day return policy which obviously is also garbage because that's not even enough time to see results - do not waste your money. submitted by /u/No_Struggle_2066 to r/30PlusSkinCare [link] [comments]

Review of OmniLux Eye Patches (unless im missing something they are awful)
Right now I'm on a whole red light kick. I have my little wand, a face mask, a yoga mat and just rediscovered eBay (whose had a cute glow up?) to get the theraface thing. I don't need more ways to administer red light- clearly. If I did, I'd wander over to the dark side and join the weird r/redlighttherapy panel people*. But I find the process of comparing data, specs, and manufactures tedious. It's my beauty routine not a full-bright. It's not just red light. I find myself looking at current, at home treatment modalities and want to make them better. Like for example: you know how we have those pimple patches? With nano silicon micropoints? Covered in some kind of anti acne treatment? We need that for bruises. I want these types of band aids to be covered in whatever agent will speed up bruise healing. DMSO? Some kind of thybolytic enzyme? Idk- if anyones a molecular biologist or just loves hemoglobin- hit me up. Please explain to ya girl the mechanism involving the removal of intradermal hemoglobin. (Is it phagocytosis by leucocytes? WHAT ENZYME ARE THEY USING THEN?!) *Update: I have since become one of those people But add something that breaks up hemoglobin The other thing. Why don't we have a water pick but for the face? I fucking hate standing there, splashing, over and over. Hell is beads of water rolling down my arm. Its a sliver of wet pajama sleeve. Could I wear those little wrist towels? Sure. Maybe. But thats what the system wants- compliance!!! I want to design a water pick and a clearasonic-like scrub brush combined. Live in a 1940's shit box apartment like me? Great! Add a filter to it- now it's soft water. Lead and rust aren't good for your face. You could even go as far and remineralize it. Or use thermal water. The same stuff thats in those sprays*. I'm fucking brilliant. *The facial sprays that are the epitome of c*nt vacationing in the south of france silent luxury circa like 2006. The trace minerals like selenium, calcium, and magnesium have shown to have anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, and barrier-supportive effects, especially in irritated or sensitive skin (e.g. after sunburns, eczema flares, or laser treatments). Crazy i know, but it rebuilds the skin microbiome and acid mantle, especially useful after cleansing or if your barrier has been damaged (e.g. over-exfoliation or retinoid irritation). Just an FYI https://preview.redd.it/4hk6zw45pn7d1.png?width=860&format=png&auto=webp&s=b94b1904537a900a7d514c0c56c1a87b8374e1d9 But back to main point. All of the above is totally irrelevant because I am only here to have a dry heaving snot dripping cathartic tantrum, thats unable to be deescalated or consoled. Which you should watch from a safe distance, and wait till I tucker myself out and fall asleep. What I am currently specifically enraged by? this fucker: Omnilux Eye Patch And before you're like, yeah well no shit- just get a mask...be careful I'm currently hysterical. Logic means nothing right now. https://preview.redd.it/19w437hipm7d1.png?width=2480&format=png&auto=webp&s=16dbb920fbaa7a82b9e74c81863dd6a0ee371c4a What drew me to the product initially was that I liked the brand and their mask. I liked it because there's actually a fair amount of physics required to obtain the correct nm of light being emitted- and there is a huge difference between claiming you're doing it correctly and actually doing it correctly. This is one of the reasons why investing in a company that takes accountability and responsibility for product testing is so important. I literally could take a sharpie and color some little lights red- will it look like red light? I mean no, but more importantly it def won't behave like "red light". And its also why the investment into such a device is worth it- because if something goes wrong you want that fucker to be under warranty. So- whatever. I picked them and naturally became curious about other fun things. What made this originally appealing: Despite people claiming you can multitask with a mask on- I am legally blinded by mine. This actually provided visibility. Loved the idea of the travel capabilities. Like how cute- she's red lighting in economy. Sleep out after a night out? Don't worry you've got this in your purse AND the uber driver wont talk to you. Its hands free. Yes the mask is also hands free, but something like a red light wand is not. So it was like the best of two worlds- I could sit and type at the computer and actually jump up and escape if there was a fire. This is a little bougie- but the mask isn't like the...easiest to put on. I mean if I'm laying in bed I feel like im trying to get a girdle on vs. just placing this under my eye like a delicate snow queen. -AND FINALLY I VERY FASLEY ASSUMED IT CAME WITH TWO. Why this an insulting, wasteful, and poorly executed concept: Im sorry, but I don't need to pay $95 + CA taxes on an eye patch. When first looking at it I just assumed a company wouldn't be so fucking ridiculous. But after realizing it was only one, I logically abandoned the idea....of buying it directly from omnilux and found it on the second hand market... Now it is also advertised that it comes with a collection of Hydrocolloid patches infused with niacinamide and amino acid-rich peptides to brighten dark circles and smooth the under eye area. Lovely. What a great idea- until you realize that its not optional to use them. Its required to adhere it to your fucking face. So once you have used the 14 included, you're required to purchase additional patches- sold separately for: $44.00 a box. (thats half the price of the device) I don't... I don't even understand the math on this one. Not only is it obscenely expensive- but they don't provide any other kind of affordable option OR BETTER YET SOMETHING REUSABLE. Each stupid peptide sticker is single use, individually wrapped, with a plastic coating on both sides that you'll have to use a steak knife to de-peel. The best part. and I mean like the absolute incredible thing about it- it doesn't stick to your face. 45 mins later after managing to make sure my face was completely dry of tears, I took a deep breath, placed it on my face. And watched it fall to the ground. Well fuck you too then. Other problems: doesn't come with a case. You get a sturdy cardboard box, that when opened you find the device sitting on a flashcard made from a middle-schoolers science fair project. Which you then remove, to find your facial Nicorette patches, a charger and an instruction manual. The little adhesives seem totally useless and are kinda gross. My only hope is that the product evolves so you can spend another $75 on a carrying case. https://preview.redd.it/je33zjtajp7d1.png?width=1040&format=png&auto=webp&s=4407a15e3d993dc650c0c93a54980aebfa04b693 Please let me know if you've had a different experience, if im doing something wrong, or literally any kind of dupe other than duct tape to keep this on my face while using it. It seriously contains some great potential, but even with it being a totally unnecessary luxury item that could accomplish the same thing in vastly better ways- it doesn't even work properly. k love you bye. UPDATED: Just wanted to come back here to say thank you guys so much. I cannot tell you how meaningful it is to me that something I enjoy doing, writing and fueling my unhinged internal monolog, is met with encouragement, support and even shared thinking. I derive so much pleasure from the opportunity to express who I am and rub it in my boyfriends face that people think im funny- not to mention the dialogue which is created as a result.... SO THANK YOU. If you have any other request or specific writing prompts I'd love to take them on!!! submitted by /u/stonedinnewyork to r/30PlusSkinCare [link] [comments]

[Before&After] 2 months with my red light therapy mask
Back in April, I bit the bullet and ordered the OmniLux red light therapy mask after a few months of research. In the mirror each day, I felt like I was noticing some changes but decided after 2 months of use to take some updated selfies and I’m really pleased with my results! Here’s the relevant details: I use my OmniLux 4-5 nights each week for the full 10 minute cycle. In April I used it almost daily but pulled back a bit in May and June. I’m 36 years old and my main concerns were uneven tone and fine lines. I definitely see my tone and redness have improved and I’m waiting until the 6 month mark to really judge any fine line appearance. I have dry skin with an oily T zone and I tend to be acne prone. My skincare routine is pretty basic and I don’t really follow a strict regimen. I will usually take a terry cloth pad and rinse/gently exfoliate with micellar water in the AM and sometimes do P50 as a toner, and then apply Ultra Violette Supreme Screen SPF 50. In the PM, I double cleanse with the Elemis oil cleansing balm and La Roche Posay gentle cleanser. If I’m doing my red light mask, this is the point in my routine where I would use it. After that, I either use the Dr. Dennis Gross extra strength exfoliating wipes or do a retinol sandwich (consisting of La Roche Posay Cicaplast B5 balm, followed 15 minutes later by 0.1 Rx Tretinoin, then 15 minutes later with more B5 balm) - and then randomly I will have nights where I give my skin a break and just moisturize. Overall, I’m really pleased with how my skin has responded to the mask and am looking forward to the 6 month mark. submitted by /u/lauruhhpalooza to r/SkincareAddiction [link] [comments]

Omnilux shouldn’t be used with Tretinoin :(
I follow a dermatologist on Instagram and she said that you shouldn’t use the Omnilux red mask if you’re using prescription tret. So then I looked it up on their website and yep, that’s what they say. :( I’m guessing in the long run, it is better to stay on Tretinoin then give it up for the red light therapy? submitted by /u/Puzzleheaded-Diet20 to r/30PlusSkinCare [link] [comments]

Considering finally pulling the trigger and purchasing a red light mask during Black Friday. What's the best one? Omnilux or CurrentBody? Others? Drop your experiences and recs please!
I'm 36 and have fair, sensitive skin and suspect I may have rosacea as well. My primary concerns are anti-aging, redness and mild hyperpigmentation. I also use prescription Tretinoin. Budget is $400, max. submitted by /u/crystaltay13 to r/30PlusSkinCare [link] [comments]

Need Omnilux LED mask review from folks who have used it
I’ve started to notice the lines around my mouth are becoming permanent and deep. I’m seriously thinking of getting this product but need genuine feedback from people who have used it. I also tried finding any scientific research on LED light therapy for wrinkles but couldn’t find one. Please share any resources you know of. submitted by /u/1messyworld to r/30PlusSkinCare [link] [comments]

[review] bad experience with Omnilux Contour Face led mask
I've been interested in light therapy for a while now, I joined the red light therapy subreddit to research red light panels before discovering led face masks. After some googling it seemed like CurrentBody, Dr. Dennis Gross Spectralite, and Omnilux Contour were promising choices. I ended up deciding between the CurrentBody and the Omnilux, there didn’t seem to be any significant differences but I ended up with the Omnilux Contour since it seemed like the silicone would be more comfortable to wear. I ordered directly from the company in March, however the devices were backordered. Finally it gets shipped on April 28th. I receive the order about a week later on May 4th. I have finals at this school so about a week goes by before I try the mask. To use the mask you charge the combo battery/controller first, then detach it from the plug and attach the mask. I apparently was sent a different iteration of this part while the instruction booklet wasn’t updated because it says that you know the battery is charging when 3 leds are flashing but the one I was sent only had one led. I checked their Youtube channel and the demo video features a battery/controller with 3 leds and different straps. The battery/controller included with my mask is really cheap looking, it looks to be some sort of generic battery they sourced from somewhere since it says “I-Smart Development Ltd” on the bottom, googling this company brings up another led mask company called Face Lite with similar looking masks, not sure if this the same company as Omnilux’s parent company GlobalMed technologies or what. It took some adjustment to get the mask to fit comfortably, the silicone is somewhat thick and it tends to not want to curve, because it is flat and heavy, it also tends to want to slide off your face so it took some trial and error to get the straps to the correct tightness. I wish I had more information to share regarding the masks efficacy but I was only able to use the mask once before it broke for no apparent reason the very next day. The battery flashes and indicates it is charging but the mask doesn't turn on. I tried calling their customer service line but noone ever picks up, you get sent to voicemail where they instruct you to leave your contact info. I emailed the company and got a prompt response. I tell Omnilux about the issues with the mask and why I was unhappy and that I wanted to return my order, there’s no information anywhere in the package about returns so I check their website. The purchase page says “Satisfaction guaranteed, 30 day money-back guarantee” and I had just assumed like the vast majority of retailers out there, that if I wanted to return a product I could just ship it back for a full refund as long as I did it within a reasonable time frame and I hadn’t done anything to the product. I received my package from them on May 4th and I tried it on May 11th. I emailed them on May 12th. They don’t say this anywhere on the purchase page but on their returns page they mention a returns processing fee, however the exact amount is undisclosed. Omnilux offers a replacement battery pack, again I mention I just want to return. They ask me to film a video before a return can be approved so I do. (I buy a ton of tech for my major and have never had a company request video proof for a return) The return gets approved but there’s a catch, they’re going to charge me the return shipping cost, plus they still haven’t answered my question about how much the restocking fee is even though I’ve asked twice. I emailed back to complain about this since I don't feel I should have to pay the return shipping and restock fee because the item is defective only to have the director of customer relations at Omnilux jump in and accuse me yet again of not charging the battery pack correctly, despite me sending a 12 minute video already, then patronizingly offering to show me via Facetime. I had mentioned several times the battery pack I received was not the same as the one in their demo video since mine has 1 led and theirs shows 3, she is apparently unaware of what the current iteration of their product looks like, and also of their companies official Youtube channel since she's asking me to show her the demo and prove that the two battery packs are different. Omniluxe Face contour demo from their channel: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CihsEAwx9Kk I filmed yet another video this time, showing the battery charging twice, and surprise, the mask failing twice. I even added a lightbulb in case they accused me of not having a working outlet. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dTziclXlqlE&t=139s long email chain: https://imgur.com/a/3VtQoHj Mask, instructions, battery/controller: https://imgur.com/a/CbCMQWF It seems Omnilux is determined not to give me a full refund so at this point I'm going to ship it back and wait to see what the return processing fee is since they refuse to tell me. TLDR: Omnilux mask breaks after one use, company determined not to give full refund - demands video proof, head of customer relations doesn’t know their own Youtube channel, not sure if anyone in the company has actually seen the latest product. 2023 Update: lol, can't believe this post is still getting attention, I'm apparently getting accused of leaving info out. All communication between me and Omnilux up to the date of this post was included. Let me just add this comment from me below in case it's hidden. " I just saw this, I didn't leave anything out - this post and all the communication I had with them at the time was on made on May 18th 2021, 10:33pm CDT (hover your mouse over the time to check). The post they made on here was on July 27, 2021 10:49am. They sent me an email explaining why the controllers were different on May 19th, 2021, 10:55am, after I already made this post, uploaded 2 youtube videos, and exchanged multiple emails. It should have been pretty obvious already it wasn't a user issue. And it's sort of besides the point what version of the controller I have, the main issue is it wasn't charging and I wanted to return the product, not exchange for a different controller." submitted by /u/snowysteps to r/SkincareAddiction [link] [comments]
