Happy Skin. Healthy Skin. Cherry Sparkle with Ceramides & Peptides Face Toner If someone has a photo of a full bottle before it has been shaken, please feel free to post! It would be much appreciated! It looks like an oily pink layer on top of a clear watery solution. When mixed, it is oily when applied, but much less so (really, don't forget to shake the bottle or you'll be really oily). I bought this originally because it looked so fun! It is similar to Global Beauty Care Retinol Renewing Double Serum in that it it looks like two liquids in one, however is definitely like a watery toner (though not thick and viscous like most serums are). It must be shaken to mix it thoroughly and applied. It does have a child-like fragrance to it, like a watery cherry scent. You know how watermelon has that watery smell with a hint of watermelon? Or the leftover rinds? Yeah, that, except kid cherry scent. I'm not a fan of it, but some people on here are. Now, I will say I slapped this on my face a few times and broke out and was bummed out. Since it was winter, I decided the extra oil blend would be nice for my body instead and boy was I right. I apply this on my body after a shower and go over it with lotion and it did beautifully for cold and/or dry weather. It really helps lock in that moisture! It takes me about a month plus to go through an entire bottle for my body (5-6 weeks if I'm lazy and am careful) and was better than slugging (occlusive [Vaseline] over your lotion). I wanted to add that, for the GBC Retinol Renewing Serum, I sandwich it between two moisturizers, because other people were breaking out from it being so oily and that worked great for me (on my face). I think maybe I could use the Cherry Sparkle Toner the same way, but it states the product is a toner and that seems counterproductive? I'm still traumatized by the 5-6 pimples when I tested it out on my face (sandwiched between a toner and a moisturizer), so I'm too worried about even trying it again! You'll have to figure it out for yourself. Other than that, not great for my face, but great for your body! I usually do the Revive RX Body Spray when I'm not too lazy, then Cherry Sparkle toner and finally lotion. Luckily enough the scent doesn't really last and is smothered by lotion. Will I buy it again? During winter, sure, summer probably not, though if I'm lazy, it may work pretty well using it alone without lotion (maybe spring or fall when it's cooler). Hope this helps! Update! Thanks to all of you for all the advice, I feel like you fixed my issue! I simplified my routine in the AM to - milky toner, vitamin C, moisturizer and spf. I let 2 mins between each application and 5 mins for spf. Also eliminated the primer. My foundation looks so much better! You all are the best! In my experience, layering a simple hydrating toner and then using a peptide serum gives better results than chasing one expensive “all-in-one” product. It’s more flexible and usually cheaper. Hi everyone! I turned 37 this year and started experiencing hormonal acne after going off birth control a few years ago. My skin type is dehydrated/combination and somewhat sensitive, prone to acne scarring and hyperpigmentation. The second picture is my skin right after my nighttime skincare routine/when I'm about to crawl into bed. I've been deep into skincare for many years now (thanks ADHD!) and have finally nailed my routine not down to specific products, but product types and actives. I love trying new things so I hate being beholden to a single holy grail. I find that I can rotate products in and out of my routine as long as I do it one at a time, and it contains the same main actives as the one it's replacing. I'm listing my current routine and products below, but the main actives I always have in my routine are tretinoin, vitamin c, azelaic acid, and tranexemic acid. I also focus a LOT on hydration and layer different hydrating formulas to make sure my skin isn't thirsty. I originally used 0.1% Adapalene for around 6 months to treat some mild comedonal acne, before deciding to try Tretinoin in February 2018. Have used various strengths and formulations (compounded vs generic, gel vs cream) before finally settling on 0.05% Cream.
