RE:Cat fountain
... currently own a couple of Petlibro Dockstreams and was thinking this..., I saw the that fountain had leaked pretty much all the water onto the carpet. Problem... that holds the water. Might be that the drainage is slow. But then when the fountain is running... but I don't see the fountain tipped over at all, only ..., my search for a perfect fountain continues.

Switched cat to only wet food now he won’t use his water fountain
In the last month I took out dry food completely from my cats diet, before that with a dry and wet food mix and he was drinking so much water. (I have the Petlibro fountain so I get a notification when he drinks), ever since switching to wet food he went from drinking multiple times everyday to nothing. I get that he probably feels hydrated enough from the food alone but any ideas on how to encourage him to use the fountain. I’ve tried moving it around the house, the filter is changed and it’s very clean but still nothing. submitted by /u/Appropriate-Mood-449 to r/CatAdvice [link] [comments]

Water fountain recommendations
Please drop water fountain recommendations I have tried the Petlibro that’s wired and the dock stream, the wired one my cat would pull the top off of and knock it over, the dock stream he knocked it over so much it fried the circuitry and almost caught fire ISO something sturdy he can’t knock over, or a general explanation as to why he feels the need to spill whatever we give him, we’ve tried just a bowl of water too but it’s so light he just tips it over immediately and then goes all day without water submitted by /u/Efficient-Lettuce-84 to r/CatAdvice [link] [comments]

petlibro vs elfin fountain
i’ve been researching a new fountain for months and can’t find anything that is really perfect. my criteria being: stainless steel, as little plastic as possible, pumpless/not submerged, and has a continuous flow. the two that i’ve found to come close are the petlibro dockstream 2 and elfin e1+. neither have stainless steel tanks though only the tray. i feel like the elfin pump system seems safer? my roommate just got the yeapaw and i like that the tank is stainless, however it has a traditional submerged pump with sponge and filters. it does seem easier to clean as the pump is fully replaced along with filters but i’m still unsure. does anyone have experience with any of these fountains? open to other suggestions as well. my boy has asthma and i’m trying to limit allergens and the risks of different materials contaminating his water. submitted by /u/lexiflechner to r/CatAdvice [link] [comments]

Automatic Feeder and Water fountain
recently adopted a cat! So naturally I desperately need a new water fountain and automatic feeder for him. I had a water fountain for 1 week, but it’s broken already… So i’m looking for a replacement. I’m willing to be flexible within my budget for something durable and efficient. I’m wondering if Petlibro is a good reliable brand? I noticed some negative reviews on this subreddit but I’m not sure how common it is for their products to malfunction. Please let me know! Cat water fountain suggestion?
I’m sure this has been asked before but I need a cat water fountain suggestion. We used to have a petlibro for our 3 cats, but one of my cats is a dumb, stupid, idiot (I say this with love) and loved to head-butt the water fountain and knock if off its base. We tried putting large rubber mats under but the splash zone was just too large and it started to damage our floors. That being said, I LOVED how easy it was to clean the petlibro parts. Cheaper fountains I’ve had in the past had tons of nooks and crannies that you couldn’t access and would just allow mold and bacteria to build up. The same cat as above also likes to play with the water, especially with motion activated fountains, so something that doesn’t have an exterior (like on the outside body of the fountain) power port would be necessary as well. So yea, I would basically love to know if there’s a fountain out there as easy to clean as the petlibro that doesn’t sit on a base so it’s easy to knock over. Thanks!! submitted by /u/FrostyCauliflower907 to r/CatAdvice [link] [comments]

How can I stop my cats from sliding their fountain off its base and spilling their water everywhere?
I bought my two cats a Petlibro fountain about 5 months back and they love it a lot. every time I go to fill it with fresh filter water from the fridge they just stand there and drink for like 10 minutes and use it regularly after that. recently though theyve developed a bad habit of sliding the fountain off of the base, even when it's been freshly cleaned and filled, and this spills the water everywhere. Constantly cleaning spilled water and refilling this thing is a bit grating l, how can I stop them from doing this? submitted by /u/Pittsbirds to r/CatAdvice [link] [comments]

Yet another water fountain
I replaced my fountain with a petlibro recommendation I found here because of mold issues, but of course it runs into the same issue. Once mold gets into the pump it becomes impossible to clean and it spreads in a day or two even if you do a full deep clean of the other parts. Almost every fountain on the market is the same pump just in a different box, all claiming their product is “easy to clean”. Has anybody used the pumpless elfin fountain for a long time and would recommend it over a simple gravity dispenser, or even just a plain old stainless steel bowl that I can empty every day? submitted by /u/afterhelium to r/cats [link] [comments]

Water fountains
I’ve been trying to find the best water fountain for my two dogs. I have two cats also. I’ve read that PetLibro is supposed to be the “best,” but when I read reviews, I see mixed results. What water fountain do you use or recommend? submitted by /u/EmptySpacesHere to r/dogs [link] [comments]

Petlibro Water Fountain Pink Stuff
Does anyone else have pink slimy stuff that builds up on their fountain? I clean it and change the filters. I’m just concerned about the color. Why is it pink/red? Should I be concerned for my cat? submitted by /u/Calm_Lengthiness_351 to r/Petlibro [link] [comments]

Water fountain recs
My kitties are on a 100% wet food, minimal processing diet so they don’t drink a whole lot of water, but I would still like for them to have access to freshwater. I have tried multiple kinds of fountains from ceramic to plastic and full stainless steel but they don’t seem to like any of them and I think it’s because the filter gets a gunked up even though I changed the water every two or three days and clean it out and replace the filter once a week. One of the units was foamy which was very strange. The others accumulated biofilms so quickly. Is there any fountain that doesn’t do this and that your cats will drink out of? I’m 100% going to do my part in the maintenance, but I haven’t been able to find the right fountain yet. I was looking at the Petlibro one, but it is quite expensive. I have a lot of their products in my house and like them quite a lot. submitted by /u/ComfortableHumble300 to r/CatAdvice [link] [comments]

What is the best water fountain and food dispenser for my cat?
Hey everyone! I am doing some research on what would be the best water fountain and food dispenser for my cat. She is a little overweight, so I would like to have control on how much food comes out. So far, I have seen that the brand, Petlibro is voted best, but I have also seen lots of reviews of it not being a good brand. I do like all of their features for both the water fountain and food dispenser and would like to find something similar to that, but I am hesitate to buy their product. Is there a better brand out there or will I be fine with purchasing from Petlibro? Thanks! submitted by /u/kbezug to r/catquestions [link] [comments]

Looking for advice on pumpless water fountains
Hello, my current water fountain went bad because the pump burnt out. I am now looking at pumpless designs and came across a few that look easy to use and clean. If anyone has experience with any of these or have suggestions I’d love to hear them. Thanks! Cat digs in water fountain
Let me set the scene... I have a Petlibro water fountain for my cats. It sits on a plastic mat with half inch high edges. My cat paws in the water so much, she'll empty the fountain in 30 minutes. The water gets everywhere. There's so much water that it overflows the mat. And I even put a towel between the fountain and the mat. It's now dripping on my front porch. How can I stop her from splashing all the water out? I have original hardwood in my house and don't want it ruined by a 7lb cat. She's not an active cat. Doesn't like toys, doesn't play much and isn't food motivated. She won't even sniff wet food. submitted by /u/Miserable-You7243 to r/standardissuecats [link] [comments]

Smart Pet Feeders & Water Fountains with HomeKit — Any Real Options?
I’m trying to find smart feeders and water fountains for cats that support HomeKit or matter. Petlibro devices look great, but they don’t seem to support HomeKit or Matter. Aqara does have a feeder, but it feels expensive for such limited functionality (no camera, very basic). Has anyone: Successfully integrated Petlibro with HomeKit in any way? Found better HomeKit-compatible alternatives? From your experience, is it actually worth having pet devices in HomeKit, or is it overkill? Additional question about setups: For those who don’t rely on an all-in-one feeder with a built-in camera, do you use a separate HomeKit camera aimed at the food area (or nearby), possibly combined with sensors or automations? If so, what real advantages does that give you beyond just “being able to see the bowl”? Do you actually get actionable insights or automations out of it, or does the camera end up being mostly passive and informational (setting aside home security)? https://preview.redd.it/t9kwfkvwpmdg1.png?width=752&format=png&auto=webp&s=33d7bdaecc03451bbb6c0ac51ac1f1a4fb6c6cef https://preview.redd.it/vccrww7eqmdg1.png?width=724&format=png&auto=webp&s=231e7e80390fadaaecc234b1dc367205f5e20a8c submitted by /u/mvrcentes to r/HomeKit [link] [comments]

Fountain: green water - algae? - fixes?
Never had a problem with our fountains, cleaning and refilling every 10-15 days. Recently we started seeing nasty greenish and foamish water and gpt says it could be algae forming. Only changes: - we started using central heating radiators - we have a new mopper and vacuum robot Could any be the reason? Any fix? Ideas: - clean and refill more often > not practical, negates the actual large tank benefits installing some kind of after-market UV light to kill bacteria and algae, any ideas while safe for cats eyes? Petlibro support: worth adding some UV filtering on future product updates? submitted by /u/foxtrot81a to r/Petlibro [link] [comments]

Is the Petlibro Dockstream Smart Fountain ACTUALLY good?
I've been considering buying the Docstream Smart Fountain for my cats, but I'm worried because I've heard Petlibro might have bots promoting their fountains and I don't want to be tricked by bots into buying a fountain that isn't really good for my cats. submitted by /u/hornetisnotv0id to r/CatAdvice [link] [comments]

Petlibro fountains
Hi folx, curious if anyone has a capsule and the stainless steel? Does one stay cleaner longer? Stainless steel is dishwasher safe but the capsule is advertised as having a whirlpool that keeps it clean. Would likely get 2 fountains for a med dog and 2 cats. Please who have switched from Petlibro Water Fountain
I got the Petlibro Water Fountain (the one that connects to the app) about 8 months ago. I have had a lot of issues with it and am fed up. I am thinking of purchasing a new fountain. I have seen several other posts on this sub about people regretting buying the water fountains and people saying that are going to stop using it. I was wondering for the people that stopped using the Petlibro fountains, did you get a new fountain? If so, which one is it and how do you like it? I am looking for a new fountain and am trying to decide which one to get. I liked the Petlibro fountain in theory because it would connect to your phone and you could monitor how much your cat drinks, but I felt that it did not live up to expectations. Edit: Also people that have had other water fountains before, is there one that you prefer or would recommend? submitted by /u/_Kit_Kat_Meow_ to r/Petlibro [link] [comments]
