Paddle advice: Triton 5, Avatar, C45, or other pink paddles? 🎀
Hi! I’m planning to upgrade my paddle and I’m currently considering these: • Sypik Triton 5 (Rise Pink) • Sypik Avatar • Franklin Parris Todd C45 I’ve been playing pickleball for almost a year now. I can play in the kitchen, catch smashes sometimes, and I’m getting better with resets and dinks. But I still hit the ball out occasionally. One thing I struggle with is power control. Sometimes my shots have too much power and go out, but other times I feel like I don’t have enough power to finish points. Because of that, I’m not sure if I should go for a power paddle or a control paddle, so I’m really torn. I recently learned that Gen 3 paddles can eventually have core crush issues, and I’ve also heard that the Triton 5 can experience this too. I really love the aesthetics of the Triton 5 in Rise Pink, but I’ve also heard about paint chipping on electroplated edge guards, so I’m a bit worried about durability. I also love the Selkirk LABS Project Boomstik and Bread & Butter Loco because of the feel and sound, but unfortunately they’re not pink 😅 I’m not the type to change paddles every time a new one comes out. I’d prefer to buy one paddle that will last and fit my playstyle for a long time, so durability matters to me too. Would appreciate hearing the pros and cons of these paddles, or if you have other pink paddle suggestions worth considering. PINK pickleball paddle recommendations?
Hi! Planning to upgrade my paddle and I’m looking for pink paddles. 🎀 Right now I’m using an Arté pickleball paddle that I bought from IG. I’ve been using it since I started playing and it’s been quite a while already, so I’m thinking of upgrading. I actually really like it since it’s pink and maganda naman performance-wise — sulit na sulit ko siya. Now I’m eyeing the Sypik Triton 5 (Rise Pink) because ang ganda talaga. Ilang beses ko na rin napapaginipan but I’ve seen some reviews saying: • the paint chips easily • some experienced core crush after dropping the paddle So now I’m a bit torn because I really love the pink aesthetic but I’m also considering durability. For those who have used it: • Is the Triton 5 worth it? • Did you experience paint chipping or core crush? Also open to other pink paddle recommendations (performance + cute aesthetics please 😅). Also looking for pickleball stores in Metro Manila (preferably Quezon City) where I can buy paddles and pay via credit card. Knocked out this fun one in a few days. Purchased for my mud room to start adding a few activities that my husband & I share together. We started playing last year & now always look forward to our time on the court. Ironically when he bought us some decent paddles, I got a pink one. So when I found this PBN, it called my name. I added some detailed to make it less generic, along with the Kosher that show a bit of my cheeky humor. submitted by /u/AltruisticAd3615 to r/paintbynumbers [link] [comments]

Not much beauty, but good stuff in RFY - CHOCOLATE!
These were all RFY, except the card sleeves, IIRC. I'll take general handy stuff. I grabbed the steam mop, then a few minutes later, there was a pink one (same maker and model) I'm glad I got the white one - I don't think hubs would use a pink one, just on general principles. ;) I hope the hair straightener is good - it has to be better than the one I have now, which I don't use because I don't like it. (corded) RFY also offered me men and boys clothes, press on nails (I have enough for now) cheap messy bun, but no good colors for me, a water flosser (just bought one because I gave up on ever seeing one in Vine ;) pet syringes, and a pickleball paddle. And my fave candy, Reese's!!! :q - and I'm getting it delivered tomorrow! I had a choice between tomorrow, and the 11th. Now, now! {even though I haven't started on my Valentine's heart Reese's yet - I have to eat the Easter candy, so I can get a timely review in - that's my story and I'm sticking to it. :D https://preview.redd.it/bwteyr3zdihg1.png?width=1212&format=png&auto=webp&s=ff9872378409f9b1d81c0a5fa696b15e94f8654a submitted by /u/vikingchyk to r/BeautyViners [link] [comments]

Anyone know why there is odd pricing on ProXR paddles on official site?
Does anyone know why the ProXR is ridiculously low priced on the official website now? I remember sometime this year it was around £170 on the site, and even elsewhere currently it's listed as £170, but on a sale (black friday lingering). Essentially brand-new — hit with it for one session and liked a lot of things but didn’t connect the way I wanted to. Why Avoura Paddles Might Be the Best Thing You Can Do for Your Pickleball/Tennis Elbow
If you’re dealing with pickleball or tennis elbow, the pain isn’t just inconvenient; it’s limiting and frustrating, often the reason you leave the court early or stop playing altogether. Sleeves, bands, stretches, and warm-up drills can help. However, the factor that matters most, and is often overlooked, is the vibration and torque caused by mishits. Gen 3 and Gen 4 paddles have advanced the technology by incorporating foam into the perimeter for enhanced vibration damping and sweet-spot extension. There’s a catch; the true sweet spot is still relatively small, and even slight misses can jar the hand, wrist, or elbow. That’s where Avoura Pickleball steps in with a more complete answer. Paddles Designed to Protect Your Arm Avoura paddles are designed and manufactured in California, and they aren’t chasing gimmicks. Co-founder Steve Dawson created the line because he struggled with debilitating tennis elbow, and traditional paddle designs weren’t solving it. Avoura’s mission is simple: make paddles that are genuinely arm-friendly, especially for players managing chronic tennis or pickleball elbow. The design philosophy comes from first-hand injury experience. Rather than pushing through pain or quitting, the goal was to eliminate the vibration and twisting forces that aggravate sensitive joints. The approach centres on enlarging the sweet spot while dramatically reducing vibration from mishits. Models like the Rhapsody 13 are built to resist twisting even on off-centre contact, minimising the jolt that typically reaches the elbow. The result is a paddle that plays comfortably and lets you stay on court longer without discomfort. Many players compare Avoura favourably to other known “arm-safe” brands, particularly ProKennex. Instead of kinetic beads or external dampeners, Avoura uses gel-infused perimeter weighting and a carefully engineered sweet spot that naturally cushions impact. This has proven effective even for players who previously experienced flare-ups with other paddles. Instead of simply chasing more power or spin, the Avoura team focused on: Reducing vibration Expanding the sweet spot Creating a soft, plush feel that still performs Why Avoura Works, When Others Fall Short Avoura’s patent-pending Sweet-Spot Enhancement System (SES) aims to maximise the stable zone. Unlike traditional shapes that taper through the middle, Avoura places the widest point where players typically strike the ball. To enhance stability, a metallic-infused silicone gel is injected around the perimeter. This adds mass in exactly the right places, around the sweet spot, without increasing swing weight. The paddle feels quick in the hand, yet extremely stable at impact. This internal perimeter weighting lifts twist weight, so off-centre contact causes far less vibration or deflection. Paired with a NASA-grade honeycomb core, the construction significantly dampens vibration. Players report a plush, controlled feel on contact, even when blocking fast volleys or digging out low balls. The gel-weighted perimeter and enlarged sweet spot work together to create a forgiving, consistent, joint-safe experience. Vibration Dampening That Works Using a NASA-grade honeycomb core and metal-infused gel around the perimeter, Avoura paddles reduce the shock that typically travels up the arm. The result is a controlled, stable, comfortable response on every contact. Sweet-spot forgiveness: Whether contact is perfectly centred or slightly off, the response stays predictable and calm; players say mishits no longer send a shockwave into the forearm, the usual trigger for flare-ups. Lightweight and customisable: With stock swing weights around 113, these paddles start light and manoeuvrable; you can add lead tape for more plough-through or stability without pushing the setup into elbow-aggravating territory. Ergonomic handle: ≈4.15" circumference handles encourage a relaxed grip. Every model includes an overgrip for extra padding, useful for wrist, hand, or finger pain. Soft, not dead: These are not foam bricks; the feel is plush and muted, yet there’s still clear feedback, spin, and pop for competitive play. Dinks, drives, and blocks all produce a calm, confident response. Feedback From Real Players with Arm Pain Long-time rec player with tendonitis: “Started with an Onix Z5 and immediately felt elbow pain. Switched to ProKennex; less pain, but no control. Tried a Selkirk Luxx for more dampening, but it still wasn’t quite right. Switched to the Avoura Revaya and haven’t looked back; I can now play for hours pain-free, and my consistency has gone up.” Former tennis player with chronic elbow issues: “I’ve had chronic tennis elbow for years. Since switching to pickleball, finding the right paddle has been a journey. Avoura was the first one that worked. It’s extremely muted and stable, probably the most arm-friendly paddle I’ve tried. And it’s light, which makes a big difference over long matches.” Tournament player recovering from shoulder injury: “The Rivelle gave me back my confidence. I could swing out without worrying about flaring up my shoulder; it’s stable, feels fast in hand, and doesn’t punish my joints.” Which Avoura Paddle to Choose? Paddle Shape Arm-Friendliness Feel Rhapsody Widebody ★★★★★ Ultra muted, plush Rivelle Hybrid ★★★★☆ Stable + poppy Revaya Elongated ★★★★☆ Lively & Power The Paddle Lineup Rhapsody, the most arm-friendly option. Shorter and wider for enhanced control, stability, and a soft-touch feel; ideal for instructors, senior players, or those in recovery. Rivelle, a hybrid shape balancing power, reach, and control. With its intermediate size and forgiving profile, it suits all-court players seeking versatility without joint stress. Revaya, elongated and powerful. Offers reach and pop for aggressive players; despite being the power option, it retains Avoura’s hallmark stability and comfort. All three share the core technology, large sweet spot, gel-infused edge weighting, and robust vibration dampening, tailored to different playing styles. Rhapsody is especially popular with instructors and older players, while Rivelle blends stability with pop, and Revaya adds reach and quick-hand manoeuvrability yet stays elbow-friendly. Proudly Built in the USA Unlike many big-name paddles that are OEM’d overseas and rebranded, Avoura designs, moulds, assembles, and finishes its paddles in the United States. The result is a noticeably refined product: Consistent quality Clean edge work with no lifting No dead spots or cheap adhesives Tighter tolerances for a better on-court feel The company reports improved durability and a more polished feel compared to paddles in the same and higher price brackets. You Don’t Have to Choose Between Performance and Comfort A common misconception is that paddles that help with elbow pain must be soft, slow, or “pillow-y.” Not here. Spin: High, thanks to the carbon face Control: Excellent, especially on dinks and resets Power: Present, and tunable via weight mods Pain: Dramatically reduced, based on real-world feedback Avoura paddles let players return to form, or stay there, without compromise. Whether you’re dinking for hours or grinding through competitive matches, these paddles hold up while protecting your arm. Final Thoughts If you’re managing tennis elbow, wrist fatigue, or general joint sensitivity, Avoura paddles are a standout solution. They aren’t a magic wand, but they’re about as close as it gets to playing without pain while still competing at a high level. Thoughtfully engineered, built in the USA, and designed by people who understand joint pain firsthand. At around $189 with SLICE10 discount Code, they’re more affordable than many “top-tier” overseas paddles, and often include a paddle cover or customisation kit. submitted by /u/Ok-Razzmatazz-3104 to r/pickleballreview [link] [comments]

What are your thoughts on the booming trend of Pickleball in Malaysia?
Everywhere I go I see pickleball courts popping up like mushrooms. Old warehouses converted to pickleball courts, mall spaces, carparks, even shoplots also got. Seems like the growth/craze only picked up speed from mid last year. Got me wondering a few questions: Who actually plays pickleball? I mean as in which group/demography of people? Why pickleball over badminton/tennis/tabne tennis others? What is so attractive about it instead of other sports? Is this a temporary trend in the style of a bubble waiting to burst upon itself, or is this a genuine lifestyle that's here to stay for the longer term? What do you personally think of pickleball? Yay or nay. Would love to hear your thoughts on this. submitted by /u/balistafear to r/malaysia [link] [comments]

Difference in the Hesacore Pickleball vs Hesacore Padel Grip?
Hi all, I recently purchased the Extra Small 5.25" Hesacore Padel Racquet Grip for my pickleball paddle, not realizing that it was the grip meant for Padel. Upon doing a quick search, the Hesacore website pretty much says that each of their grips are made specifically for that sport, so they are not compatible with other sports' paddles/racquets. I compared the dimensions and specifications of each of the grips and it's the exact same length and weight. Is Hesacore just saying their grips aren't interchangeable for other sports just to make more money? Can I still use the Padel grip I bought originally on my pickleball paddle? Any feedback is appreciated. https://preview.redd.it/vqcsy0pnyoxe1.png?width=412&format=png&auto=webp&s=78e3241d0cc9374c4507b8f77ec18e818a813a5c For context, the pink one is the 5.25in Extra Small Hesacore Padel Grip and the white one is the 5.25in Small Hesacore Pickleball Grip. submitted by /u/Logical-Credit-3198 to r/Pickleball [link] [comments]

Local Florida product welcome package?
My parents just bought a house in Punta Gorda. I live in Tampa. I am helping them move their stuff in a couple weeks. I want to put together a “welcome to florida” care package for them. I’m looking for suggestions on products. Food, drinks, Knick knacks. All made in florida. Any help is appreciated! Bonus points for creativity! submitted by /u/Sea-Presentation-989 to r/florida [link] [comments]
