I was just handed this by the receptionist and asked to review it. I pay $300/month for the Passport and book 15 classes in advance… That’s the limit on the app. My home studio fills up quickly so I’m guessing that’s why they’re trying to limit it to 10 bookings at a time but damn. I have to ask if this includes all studios or just my home studio. Is this a recent change in the policy? submitted by /u/DueOwl9456 to r/ClubPilates [link] [comments]

Tavi Aria grip socks disappoint
I recently bought these grip socks for Pilates class. I purchased my last pairs two years ago and they fit like a glove, but the grip is wearing down. These new ones are loser on my feet even though they're smalls. I want to stick with the ankle height. Has anyone noticed a change in Tavi Aria socks over the years? Can you recommend a better brand? Pilates people: what do you actually want in grip socks (and what do you hate)?
Hey everyone — hoping to get honest feedback from people who do Pilates regularly. I’m working on a small product idea around Pilates grip socks because I’ve noticed common complaints like slipping, rolling down, weird sizing, and grips wearing out fast. I’m not here to spam or push a link; I’m trying to understand what matters before I invest in sampling/production. If you use grip socks, could you share your experience? What brand/style do you currently use (or avoid), and why? What’s the single most annoying problem you’ve had with grip socks? (slipping, fit, sweat, durability, washing, grip placement, toe style, etc.) Do you prefer full-toe, open-toe, or toe-less—and what’s the reason? What price do you usually pay, and what would you consider “worth paying more for”? If an “ideal” grip sock existed, what features would it need? (examples: higher cut, arch compression, sweat-wicking, thinner/thicker, better grip pattern, anti-roll cuff) Optional (helps a lot): how often do you do Pilates per week, and are your classes reformer, mat, or both? If anyone’s open to it, I can post a quick summary of what I learn back here so it’s useful to others too.Thank you. submitted by /u/alpencore to r/ClubPilates [link] [comments]

I have a big insecurity with my feet. I know people say you’ll get over it doing it barefoot but I don’t even want to go to even show them 😅 I’m a beginner but want to learn in class vs home so I learn correctly first. What are some popular options for Pilates socks?
Okay, so I've been pretty consistent with the gym for the last 3 months! This is the first time that I've been this consistent. Usually, I go for a month or two, then take long breaks before signing up again. But since I decided to start 75 Medium, I’ve found myself sticking to it, even though my 75 Medium challenge ended like two weeks ago. The thing about these challenges is that they shift your mind, body, and generally how you show up in all areas of your life. Cause tell me why I finished this challenge about 14 days ago, yet my routine is still the same? I think this is my lifestyle now, lol! Anyways, I’m looking to change up my gym routine and want to incorporate something more fun. I was thinking of skating, but then a friend of mine started taking Pilates, and she’s been hyping its benefits. I think I’m going to try Pilates, then maybe next year I can try skating. So far, I’ve been able to get almost all my Pilates equipment and gear from Alibaba (that’s where my friend got most of her things). She, however, doesn’t recommend the brand of socks she got. So, I guess my question is: what are some of the best or most popular brands for Pilates socks? I would really appreciate it if you could advise me on the best brand to see if I can get them, as I want all my gear to arrive at the same time. submitted by /u/Crafty-Reach-2373 to r/ClubPilates [link] [comments]

This improved grip helps maintain proper form, reduces the risk of injury, and allows for a more effective and comfortable workout experience. This review will guide you through the top brands and models poised to dominate the market in 2025, helping you choose the best option for your needs. [Explore top Rated pilates grip socks on Amazon.] Key Features Analysis The effectiveness of pilates grip socks relies on a few essential features. These features impact not only the performance but also the comfort and durability of the socks. Grip Pattern and Material: The grip pattern and material are crucial for preventing slips and ensuring stability. The best grip patterns are strategically placed to cover high-pressure areas of the foot, such as the ball and heel. High-quality silicone or PVC is frequently used to create these grips, providing excellent traction on various surfaces, including wooden floors, mats, and reformers. A well-designed grip pattern will also ensure that the grip material doesn't easily peel off after repeated use and washes.Material Composition: The material composition of the sock determines its breathability, comfort, and moisture-wicking capabilities. A blend of cotton, nylon, and spandex is commonly used in quality pilates grip socks. Cotton offers softness and absorbency, while nylon enhances durability and shape retention. Spandex provides the necessary stretch for a snug and comfortable fit, allowing for a full range of motion without constriction. Look for socks emphasizing moisture-wicking to maintain dry feet during intense workouts. Design and Coverage: The design and coverage of the sock can vary depending on personal preference and the type of activity. Some socks are designed as completely covered, offering full foot protection. Others are half socks, often called "toe socks," allowing the toes to move independently. These can improve balance and coordination. Some socks also come with ankle support for even more stability. Others are designed as ballerina-style socks, offering a more stylish look and a secure fit around the foot. Durability and Washability: Pilates grip socks should be able to withstand frequent use and washing. Reinforced stitching in high-stress zones, such as the heel and toe, are crucial for extending the sock’s lifespan. The ability to machine wash and dry the socks is another essential feature, making them convenient and easy to care for. Look for socks that retain their shape, elasticity, and grip after several washes.Fit and Comfort: A proper fit is essential for comfort and performance. The socks should fit snugly without being too tight, allowing for full range of motion. Consider the sizing chart provided by the manufacturer to ensure a correct fit. Features like a seamless toe closure can minimize irritation and prevent blisters. Cushioned soles can provide additional comfort, especially for longer workouts. Eco-Friendly Materials and Production: With increasing environmental awareness, many brands are opting for eco-friendly materials, such as organic cotton or recycled polyester. Manufacturing processes prioritizing sustainability and ethical labor practices are gaining popularity. These aspects may be important considerations for environmentally conscious consumers. [Explore Top Rated pilates grip socks on Amazon.] Core Benefits Pilates grip socks provide several benefits that contribute to a safer, more effective, and comfortable workout experience. This helps prevent the spread of germs and bacteria, especially in communal fitness environments. They provide a barrier against potential skin infections like athlete's foot. Increased Comfort: High-quality pilates grip socks are made from breathable materials that wick away moisture, keeping your feet dry and comfortable throughout your workout. A snug fit and seamless toe closures can also help prevent blisters and irritation. The cushioned soles provide extra comfort, especially during exercises that involve prolonged standing or impact.Greater Control and Precision: With enhanced grip and stability, you have greater control over your movements. This precision is crucial for exercises that require balance and coordination. Such as, during plank variations or balancing poses, grip socks allow you to maintain stability and focus on engaging the right muscles. Versatility: Pilates grip socks are not just limited to pilates; they are also suitable for barre, yoga, dance, and even everyday wear around the house. Their versatility makes them a practical and valuable addition to any fitness enthusiast's wardrobe. Avoid using bleach or fabric softeners, which can damage the fabric and reduce the effectiveness of the grip. Will pilates grip socks work on all types of flooring? Tavi: Grip Sock Rec!
I know socks may not be the most conventional clothing rec here, but I've struggled for so long finding a pair of grip socks that fit my feet (Womens US size 5/5.5). I regularly take barre and pilates classes and hated how my previous grip socks would always slide and get loose, which sometimes caused me to lose balance or form. I just ordered 2 pairs of the XS grip socks (fit to Women's US 3-5.5) from Tavi Active and I'm SO happy to finally find a pair that fit my feet! The grip seems pretty strong and the fabric is thick and feels like good quality, so I'm hopeful they'll get good longevity! Just a PSA for my smaller-footed peeps out there! submitted by /u/kokoromelody to r/XXS [link] [comments]

Pilates grip socks- do you prefer crew or no-show?
I’m curious what everyone prefers when it comes to Pilates grip socks. I’ve only used the quarter or crew length ones so far and haven’t tried the no-show styles yet. If you’ve tried both, which do you like better and why? Also, I have really small and narrow feet. I wear a women’s size 5, and sometimes even that feels a little big. My ankles are small too, so finding socks that fit snugly and don’t slide around can be a bit tricky. I’m wondering if anyone with a similar foot shape has found one style more secure or comfortable than the other. I’d also love to know which brands people recommend, especially ones where the grip actually holds up after multiple washes. I’ve been using Pilates Honey (the grip kinda went away after two washes which was odd), Lucky Honey, Arebesk, and Tavi, and I like them, but I’m always open to trying something new if it lasts longer. submitted by /u/crazydogmom25 to r/pilates [link] [comments]

Pilates studio banning grippy socks?
For some reason, my Pilates studio is banning the use of any socks (including grippy) unless there’s a medical reason. Is there any actual rationale for this? Is it safer or do you get more out of the class? I hate being barefoot outside of my house and have seen some gross feet in my Pilates classes and can’t stomach getting plantar warts or anything similar. I’m thinking of just ignoring the policy unless there’s some sort of real reason? Plus the instructors walk around the studio in outside shoes, which seems a bit unsanitary submitted by /u/sommersolveig7 to r/pilates [link] [comments]

DIY Grippy Socks
Has anyone tried making their own grip socks using the stuff called "Sock Stop Paint" or Dimensional Puffy Fabric Paint (if they're allergic to the latex in Sock Stop?) I just found out through Tik Tok that this is possible. I've spent so much money on grip socks, and I don't regret it. Because the "Tavi" brand socks they sell at Club Pilates are SO comfortable, and they hold up so well in the wash. But grip socks are so ridiculously expensive, (unless... insert "grippy sock vacation" joke here, because if you know, you know.) But I just saw a Tik Tok about making your own grip socks, and it sounds very fun, easy, and more cost effective to just be able to pick out regular socks that you like and add grips on your own. I've read some reviews that say that the Sock Stop paint works better than the puffy fabric paint, but that the transparent color, particularly tends to soak into the fabric of some socks, and so you need to use a lot of it in order for it to work. I've also read that the dimensional puffy fabric paint can be a little uncomfortable on the bottom of the socks. But I haven't read or seen anything about whether or not either of these options actually last through washing, or if the grips actually stay on the socks as well as they do on store-bought grip socks. I also don't know if you can put homemade grippy socks into the dryer, or if they need to be air dried. Does anyone have any insights into how well turning regular socks into grippy socks works, or doesn't work? submitted by /u/Technical-Pie-1802 to r/ClubPilates [link] [comments]

Grippy socks for small feet?
What pilates/grippy socks are best for size 5 feet? When I started pilates, I bought cheap kids grippy socks from Amazon. Now that I have decided to stick with Pilates, I would like to buy some nicer socks! But I always find adult athletic socks to be too big and the heel ends up around my ankle. I am thinking of ordering a pair from Tavi and a pair from Pointe Studio since they come in size s/m vs. one size fits all. Are there other brands that I should look at? I am on a really tight budget (starting my own business!!) so I would love to hear from others before I order.
