Popmart employee
I work at Popmart. The way they treat their employees is so frustrating. We get no discounts, we don’t get any hours and don’t allow full time employees so we get no benefits, they make us wait 24 hours to purchase any new drops and now don’t allow us to make any purchases at the Popmart we are employed at. The other closest Popmart besides our location is a good hour away, is so disheartening to continue supporting Popmart as I used to love Popmart so much before becoming an employee there. submitted by /u/FederalCompetition90 to r/labubu [link] [comments]

Labubus on popmart aren’t selling out anymore?
Basically just what the title says- I feel like it's so easy to get them off popmart now? I'm feeling slightly confused I used to fight for my life to try to get ONE but now I feel like I can get as many as l want off popmart. Did people stop buying them? Are they falling off? I love mine and am not complaining be now I can work on completing the collection but I'm just confused what happened. I feel like just a month ago l was still struggle bussing getting some. Like these screenshots are from 1am after they all drop and they are all available to buy whereas before they would be long gone and sold out. submitted by /u/No_Somewhere9228 to r/labubu [link] [comments]

You Know What? I Think I'm Done With Popmart
I've spent thousands on popmart, but it's overall been a nightmare with Popmart. They have the best toy designs, but after all they've put their customers through, I'm done. The greed is neverending with them. Now we can't use hint cards on all the good series when they barely gave us an edge to begin with? No thanks. Straw that broke the camel's back. Between that, the quality control, having CS emails ignored, constant price increases, bait and switch in the lives, hosts being told to lie to us, refusal to replace items that got lost in transit, $3 dollar coupons when things arrived totally messed up instead of replacements, and they've even started reporting authentic labubu listings on ebay so that people can't even recoup what they spend on duplicates!!! (I've had all these things happen to me or in front of me) We need to start pushing back by not spending until they stop this trend of greed. When will it be enough money for these people? submitted by /u/Weenington_ to r/PopMartCollectors [link] [comments]

Is Popmart okay?
I have several labubus and crybabies out of luck getting 1 from offline store whenever I see it, but was never able to get a full box of anything. I even had to get BIE set ordered from reseller from abroad bc I couldn’t get any. Yesterday I went to a new store opening and had to line up for 2 hours but I got Mac and Has sets. I also got FIW pendant as well. They have the new why so serious available in store too. I also got pin for love (both boxes) and checkmate pendant in mail coming. Did Popmart produce more or is the demand slower now? submitted by /u/squidienator to r/PopMartCollectors [link] [comments]

$42.99. There is noooooo way I'm spending over $40 on a blind box this is such a scam!! There are detailed Halloween plush pendants on kikagoods rn that are half the price! I was so excited for clown themed pendants this is such a disappointment. I shouldn't be surprised tho when they just released $40 skullpandas. I understand the frustration with popmart, but did anyone get into this trend because they actually liked the figures and not just the gambling aspect?
So I’ve been seeing a lot of frustration with pop mart as of late, and some criticisms are truly valid. The prices for new variations are very greedy, some of the quality control has opportunity, but the new frustration I’ve been seeing which I don’t quite agree with is how these are somehow losing value based on accessibility. And that made me sad that others would think something is less than just because everyone now has access to it a bit more. I never got into these lil cuties based on the idea that if I have something someone else doesn’t have or had a hard time getting, that I then find value in the item/ myself. I genuinely just fell in love with this series for a couple reasons 1- these were the one thing that would actually fill up my social medias that weren’t tied to the horrible things going on in the world. They were merely here to bring a sense of joy, relief, and whimsy during a very dark time in the world 2- I’ve never actually been a big collector of toys because they were just something you would buy and then put in a shelf. But what I really love about these is that they are also key chains, so in my mind I view them as more of an accessory and something I can attach to my bag. And I gotta say, whenever I look at my bag and see them adorning it, I do have a split second of calm/ joy in a chaotic day. Also side note, so I was don’t buying labubus because I was ok with the fact that I didn’t get all the colors I wanted, we got the ful macaron set which my partner and I shared and split up between the two of us, and then we both got a serenity. He got a luck and I got a loyalty and we were happy to stop there. And then our friends kids really loved our labubu so we got them both 1 labubu from the tik tok pop mart us shop and they came. Now I’m horrible but I don’t care. I had always loved love out of the BIE series and that was the one I wanted. Well the gifts came and I was like “let’s just open from the bottom to see what they got” and sure as hell one of the 2 was a love. So I’m keeping her and we bought 1 more for the kids. Yes…. I stole from a kid. But I replaced and purchased one more so they both still get one as originally planned. I’m so bad but I love her sooooo much! She’s got both arms in full red and then speckling of red throughout and I love her! submitted by /u/Donavon7 to r/labubu [link] [comments]

Popmart asking for SSN⁉️
I’ve been battling with popmart for the past 3 months about an order of labubus that I never received. The carrier GOFO express stole them themselves after “delivering” them. Their customer service is super unhelpful and take two weeks to respond every time and GOFO express is just as useless. POPMART finally told me to write a handwritten declaration about not receiving my order and now they’ve hit me with this. Why on earth would popmart need my SSN⁉️ can anyone weigh in on why this would even be a thing? I’m beyond frustrated at this point and I will never be buying from POPMART again. submitted by /u/joeyhartsx3 to r/labubu [link] [comments]

Popmart asking me to cancel chargeback
See above. Earlier in june i was able to snag 2 crybabies on popnow during a surprise restock. What I got delivered was a package full of twinkle twinkle items. I sent over an email to CS and they responded with asking for an unboxing video and the such. I replied with the video and further evidence of them delivering me the wrong items, and the warehouse must’ve put my label on someone else’s order. They did not respond at all after that and it’s been more than week. I filed a chargeback with my bank because I’m tired of dealing with popmart as they are notorious for having the worst CS. Now magically they are asking me to cancel the chargeback so they can “solve the problem with the order,” which i dont trust them because I want them to solve the problem first and they can submit that evidence to my bank. What should I do? submitted by /u/proxyator to r/PopMartCollectors [link] [comments]

Save Yourself from PopMart Checkout Hell
What I learned from being trapped in PopMart checkout hell for 5 hours (don’t end up like me). I had six Have a Seat sitting pretty in my cart, feeling smug… then PopMart decided I was a bot and locked me in checkout purgatory for FIVE HOURS. Tried my phone, laptop, incognito, new IP, new network, modem reset, app reinstall, same cursed Frequent Operation loop on repeat. I kept trying Place Order and my cart kept almost expiring. My life force drained after 5 hours and I gave up my hard earned boxes. What actually happened: I didn’t just piss off PopMart’s bot filter— I nuked my whole device fingerprint. So not just my IP, but my phone’s hidden ID got blacklisted. Switching Wi-Fi, clearing cookies, making new accounts… useless. Once your device is flagged, it stays blocked until support resets it and good luck with that. And yes, before anyone asks: I tried a new device. I tried mobile data. I made a new account. I changed the shipping name, phone number, tweaked the address. I used different cards. Still blocked. Deep fingerprint lock. Don’t like me: Tap checkout ONCE — do not spam-click. Panic-tapping = auto bot flag. If checkout freezes, don’t keep smashing it. Go back to the product page and re-click the Pop Now to refresh your hold. Don’t log into the same account on more than one device. One account = one phone. Turn off VPNs and Limit IP Tracking. PopMart hates hidden IPs. If you see Frequent Operation or Too Popular, STOP. Seriously— wait at least an hour. Trying too soon just resets the lock timer. If you’re completely stuck: Try a totally different device on mobile data. Use a slightly different shipping name/phone (billing must match your card). Use a fresh card/payment method if you can. PopMart’s bot guard is feral. Treat checkout gently or it will ruin your whole drop chance. If you break it, your phone is basically dead to them until their backend feels merciful. Drop your survival tips below, I’ll be over here crying. May your carts hold and your wallets cry in peace. submitted by /u/Important-Guitar8250 to r/labubu [link] [comments]

the popmart community is NOT ok
With Popmart's greed finally exposed, the ball is in consumers' court; it's time to rethink our spending. Popmart has actively raised prices on all regular blindboxes from $15.99 to $19.99; for plush keychains the price rose from $21.99 to $27.99 now, totaling up to more than $30 if we're counting tax and shipping. I think this is a great time to reflect on why we're purchasing Popmart in the first place. First, some history and context on this boom in blindbox consumption. I would source the explosive demand in Popmart—especially the Labubu plush keychains—to the bag charm trend that came from 2024 runways (miumiu Spring/Summer was a big one, along with Coach and Balenciaga runways from the same time). Popmart had actually released their first Labubu plush keychain in October 2023—and I remember seeing it on the website and thinking that no one would get such an overpriced doll, but ig here we are— but basically no one bought it until the 2024 runways, when afterwards celebrities started hopping on the runway trends; the bag charm trend being one of them (the most famous examples are Lisa and Rihanna in April 2024). Labubus formally became a trend thanks to the help of Instagram and Tiktok near the end of 2024, and people started going crazy over them; probably hooked by the blindbox system and the way it became a collectable status symbol (not of wealth, strictly, but of "hip-ness") within the generation, much like the Stanleys, squishmallows, and Owalas did in the past. I've been a Popmart "collector" for a year now. And by collector, I mean I get a few boxes every year/end of quarter and would like to complete a set one day, which is probably on the lower-middle end of consumption. I'm not advocating for people to collect in the same manner as I do, but I think we need to bring back the innate incredulity we feel when we see more and more people dropping $100 a month, or even multiple days a month, on pieces of plastic and plush. Because at the end of the day, no matter how emotionally attached you feel to your Popmart, dolls aren't going to help you pay the bills or pass your classes, and if you convince yourself otherwise you may have to rethink that philosophy. When it becomes a trend to spend copious amounts of money on something so useless, I can't help but feel frustrated. Not to mention that the Labubus especially are driven by seasonal fashion trends and manufactured scarcity—you can't deny that if everyone were able to get the Labubu color they wanted, for $10, the average price of a plushie made in China, on Amazon, they wouldn't be this popular. On the other hand, if it was randomized even more such that there are more secrets, people probably wouldn't be that obsessed either. It's the tantalizing feeling of not getting the exact one you want, but still feeling like getting it is attainable (because you can just get another blindbox), that keeps people coming back; aka the gamblers fallacy. Therefore, I wonder if the majority of people who purchase Labubu's even like them in the first place. Because the point of collecting an art doll is to invest in something in which the aesthetic appearance of it brings you joy, right? I legit saw/heard comments before labubu's took off about how ugly they were, and on an post about how Lisa likes Labubu, one user said "Lisa is the only one who can convince me these Labubu dolls are cute. snfksfskfn". Obviously there are many people who like how labubus look, just like there are many people who hate how Skullpanda, Hirono, and Dimoo look. So this is not about me hating on a doll that I don't like aesthetically, rather it's just a fact that Labubu would not be as popular as it is based purely off it's baseline appearance, if it did not go viral. Why is that a problem? Well, if you're just hopping on a trend, you're spending your hard-earned money on $200 Labubu sets that may not bring you any longterm value at all, because you don't actually like how the doll looks and you don't actually care about collecting them—or you may be gaslighting yourself into liking them because other people do, because you can't convince me that millions of people just autonomously fell in love with Labubus. Nothing is that cute... rather, the actual thing you're getting is some X amount of social capital that grants a burst of short-term gratification. But that's objectively not enough return for the amount of money you're paying upfront and for the amount of emotional withdrawal that will happen after you realize you have a box full of toys that you spent $5k-12k on and no money for other stuff. Why not just live and let live? Isn't it normal to get stuff that's popular or trendy? Ok well, my thoughts on this matter can not actually penetrate through the cyber realm and physically stop you from swiping your credit card on your next Popmart purchase. I also don't aim to stop anyone from doing what they want with their own money, but I care about this community and think that people should not be spending blindly in this economy. $100 (what an average collector spends on Popmart in a month, enough for 3-4 dolls) can get you 3–5 days of groceries for one person (basic staples), ½ full tanks of gas (if ~13 gal @ $3.50–4.00/gal), 2–3 casual meals out, or 1 nice dinner with tip. Evidently, that's a significant amount! Even barring all that, the problem with Popmart is directly downstream of larger societal problems, namely of consumerism, influencer marketing, and the crisis of individuality and free thought within it all. Have you thought about how absurd it is that we're just spending all this money on toys we may not even love that much, on a company that doesn't seem to give a damn about their consumers (just look at this price increase), and for the purpose of getting what everyone else has. This goes for all other products that people on tiktok/ytube shorts "love" or "swear by" or say "work so well"; the brunt of short form content has become little more than advertisements, disguised as product reviews, unboxings, or try-ons. If creators know they can get sponsorships if they talk positively about a brand, they're going to do it; there's absolutely no incentive for them to be honest and lose out on lucrative brand deals—speaking of, when's the last time you watched a creator give a nuanced review of a product? Or clicked on beauty/fashion videos that aren't sponsored by any brand? Content platforms have transformed from places of creation and originality, to shrines of commodification and greed. Mediocre content, where people do the same exact thing, is rewarded as long as it's aesthetically pleasing—because being easy on the eyes increases the chance that viewers don't realize they're being sold to. Product after product in every video, viewers are the frogs being slowly boiled, steeped in the lie that you'll gain an extra point on the happyness index if you just purchase this one product—after you get it, you'll be as aesthetic and post-worthy as the cool people online. But what does post-worthy entail? At best, you add something to your own sense of self—great. For the average follower, it just means you become more like everyone else, carbon-copies of the people who share your algorithm. The Labubu you bought, that you put on your shelf or your bag, is part of the uniform of the trend-follower (along with the stanley, sambas, birkin, and rhode lip tint, for example), almost a perfunctory addition to your character rather than anything actually cool or novel. And after a while you realize that you've been lied to, and that this commodity doesn't make you happier, causing you to search for happiness in the next product or launch or trend, as if the dopamine rush of making a purchase will fill that void in identity. And even if creators actively resist this incentive structure, which I don't believe they do, the mere-exposure effect is still at play, and as long as you're immersed in social media, you'll scroll past a few Labubu posts, and all of a sudden be struck with a mysterious urge to go get one. It's not magic, it's not that you find Labubu's sooo aesthetic all of a sudden, it's literally basic psychology. The things that other people have in the video that you think you need? You really don't, you just want it. The concept of need has morphed and become all-consuming. In fact, companies are masters in manipulating the feeling of "need" to coerce consumers into staying docile as they continue to raise their prices again and again. No one should be paying $20 for an art doll that was originally valued at $13— or for any of the other overpriced trendy items. Don't let companies and corporations manipulate your demand because they don't give a damn about how your spending habits are going to negatively impact your future as long as they're lining their pockets in the present. However, while capitalism may pit the interests of consumers and producers against each other, it's also a mutual exchange. And here's where I'm hopeful. Consumers need to demand more transparency, boycott products until companies lower prices, and always remember that without the consumer, the producers are finished. Without action there will be no progress, so if you're content with paying increased prices, by all means, continue purchasing. But Popmart's latest price increase should be the wakeup call for all of us to stop spending mindlessly, and to take back our bargaining power. submitted by /u/Phiiiii49 to r/PopMartCollectors [link] [comments]

i was so looking forward to the Popmart x Arcane collaboration, since official merchandise are soooo limited (at least in my country; popmart would’ve been accessible here). these figurines are just… not it. absolutely disappointing, just like the Uniqlo UT collaboration. did the team behind the series even bother watching the series at all?? on top of that, each blindbox is around $30 A PIECE, the whole set being around $280. it’s quite sad how such an amazing show with mind-blowing artwork has poorly designed merchandise :( submitted by /u/vulpiix38 to r/arcane [link] [comments]
