Im in the same boat. Third child also 7.5 pp. I always loose hair but this time feels excessive. But im hoping it will grow back within the year. It hasn’t yet. But im hoping I don’t have to start using rogaine.

Yes it seems to be the new norm. My daughter is now 4 years old and I have half the hair I had prior to her. My doctor told me to use rogaine but I’ve seen no difference. It shocked me because I didn’t know this would happen. Not sure what to expect after this second kid.

It was an on and off thing, but mostly on. It became a habit like brushing my teeth. It never really grew new hair but I think the loss rate may have decreased somewhat (how much I'll never know). Hello this is my first ever Reddit post. I tried one early and it didn’t work so I’m going to make this short and sweet. I started using Rogaine on my hair around the beginning of Novemebr. So basically for a few months. I feel like I’m seeing some results which I’m so grateful for. Also I will say towards the beginning of using Rogaine I did notice more hair shedding, but as of today it’s pretty much completely stopped once again I’m so grateful. I really don’t know what else to say so if you have any questions for me feel free to ask and I will answer to the best of my ability. P.S. I use 5% minoxidil (Rogaine brand). I apply it to my hair once per day before bed. I tried Rogaine 7 years ago, and it just burned face and irritated my scalp. I also didn't want to have to take a shower every time I applied it. I believe it said to use it twice daily, and this is EVERY single day. If you skip 2 days, you basically need to restart from scratch. And you also need to wash your hair afterwards, it's a hardcore requirement, otherwise it'll burn your skin. I've been through them all, and I gotta say there is no brand like Rogaine when it comes to minoxidil. Rogaine = equivalent to Coca-Cola, it's the Blue meth in breaking bad. For those of you that can purchase it's foam form, you're lucky sons of bitches. Background: Me and my wife have been together for almost 10 years now. She is someone who has always cared about appearances, and i honestly never had a problem with it. I am in good shape, but this isn't something i can really control. Earlier this year my hair started to rapidly disappear. He originally prescribed me with a pill that i could take to help with the hair loss. By August the pill was doing nothing, my bald spot was growing and my wife started asking me to wear a hat when going out. My doctor suggested i try Rogaine, which i did. But it had a fairly nasty side effect of making my scalp constantly itch, redness, and extremely dry scalp. However in the month of August my hair loss did completely stop. However the side effects have been getting worse, when i saw my doctor today, he immediately told me to stop using it. The alternatives were not really great, such as things like a hair transplant which are pretty expensive and not covered by our insurance. I told my wife tonight, and she made some pretty shitty comments. She essentially asked me to keep using Rogaine and just "deal with the side effects", because "I don't want to be seen with someone balding". I said i could just shave my head, and she that would look disgusting. When i asked her what did she want me to do, she told me to just deal with the side effects. Then went to bed pissed off. I honestly have been sitting here contemplating our entire marriage now, and frankly I feel really disgusted with her behavior.
