Jiyu skincare toner pads are NOT a scam - my honest review
Hi everyone, I’m usually pretty skeptical when it comes to skincare that suddenly shows up everywhere, especially anything that gets pushed heavily on tiktok. I’ve wasted money before on products that looked amazing online and did basically nothing, so I assume the worst first. Over the last few months my feed has been full of jiyu toner pads. At first I thought “just another overhyped product” or even borderline scam, mainly because the content around it felt very repetitive and polished. I didn’t buy it right away for that reason. I stuck to my usual routine and ignored it. I ended up trying it later after a friend mentioned she liked korean toner pads in general, not even specifically this brand. That made me a bit more open to K beauty itself. For context, my skin is sensitive, and I try to keep things pretty simple. Had issues with overexfoliating before, so I was careful starting out and only used them a few times a week. At first, I didn’t notice much. The first week or two felt pretty underwhelming and I started thinking it might’ve just been another product that looks better online than it actually is. The first thing I did notice though was that they were gentler than I expected. I was worried they’d feel harsh or overdo it, but that wasn’t the case at all. Still I had to figure out how often to use them because using them too frequently felt like it could easily tip into irritation. Over time they started fitting better into my routine. I wouldn’t say it was some dramatic overnight difference, but I did notice my skin looking a bit more even and smoother over time. One thing I will say is they didn’t replace everything for me. I still use other products depending on how my skin feels, so it’s not like this became a full solution. Is it a scam? I wouldn’t put it in that category based on my experience. It’s not some miracle product, but it is more legit than I first thought. Curious if anyone else had a similar experience submitted by /u/Direct-Value4452 to r/Sophisticated_Beauty [link] [comments]

These coconut toner pads are my favorite March find!
I’ve really been laying off the lippies and skincare because I already have so much, but had to try these toner pads. I use 2 in the morning to wake up and feel human. They’re pretty gentle and I can even use them around my eyes without issue. They smell really good. They feel hydrating and give me that sweet sweet dopamine hit. submitted by /u/BellaStayFly to r/dollartreebeauty [link] [comments]

Underrated Korean Toner Pads Review
As a Korean skincare addict I wanted to share some toner pads I've loved but feel like not enough people talk about. These are the ones that surprised me in a good way and I hate keeping them to myself haha. My skin is sensitive dehydrated combo (oily T-zone but dry everywhere else) gets red easily and I need makeup to stay put without looking cakey. I don't have major concerns most of the time just occasional tightness or flakiness that shows up in drier months. My routine is basic: gentle cleanser, toner pad (these ones), a light serum, moisturizer, and sunscreen in the morning. I've been using these pads for over 3 months now rotating them into my daily routine and they've been a nice addition. - Benton The pads are huge and thick seriously the biggest I've used. I always do a toner pad pack before makeup and this one makes my base go on flawlessly. It gives this inner glow that shows through foundation like instant glass skin. If that's your goal try it once. It's gentle super hydrating and calming too. Hands down my favorite on this list. - Torriden Everyone raves about the green pads but I actually prefer this one. The green ones felt a little irritating on me but these are so soft and gentle the perfect calming pad. My brother (guy with normal skin) uses it too and likes it. Makeup compatibility is great no pilling or weird texture. - Skin1004 I loved their serum so I tried the pads. They're soft and tear easily so you can cut them to fit your face. Essence amount is generous and they feel really moist. Performance is on par with the serum no joke. Makeup sits nicely similar vibe to Torriden but maybe a tad more hydrating. - Dermatory This is the hidden gem in calming pads for me. The embossed side is perfect for wiping great for physical exfoliation without being harsh. Better for wipe-off than pack. It calms redness fast and adds tons of moisture. Solid for sensitive reactive skin. Benton is my top pick but honestly all of these are worth trying. Pick based on what you need glow calming or wipe-off power. submitted by /u/peacekimchi to r/AsianBeauty [link] [comments]

YAY THE OG TONER PADS ARE BACK! (and a sneakyyy formula conundrum!)
My little mini haul from the other day was part hit, part sh-💩! I almost passed out when I stumbled across the Sheer Melon OG toner pads in my store the other day, so I grabbed a couple (still left 8 on the shelf!). I use these every day, but the reformulated ones broke me out so bad and burned my skin (and smelled AWFUL) and I was running low on my stock pile, so before I new these were being distributed again, I saw someone else’s post about how not only are the new Revive Rx pads actually identical formulas (😕 shadyyyy, one says exfoliating, one says barrier repair) but apparently they’re also the exact same formula as the OG Sheer Melon pads, just without the light candied watermelon scent. I will compare my OG toner pads from last year to this year’s batch to see if they are the same, and if so I’ll probably unload some of these on the exchange page, as I don’t need TWELVE toner pads! 😆 The La Mercerie lip stain is GARBAGE. It says the color is supposed to be “blush veil”, a pinky nude, and it is DOO DOO 💩 BROWN. Straight to the trash! I thought that hand sanitizer was just another cucumber mint, but when I picked it up I realized it said pistachio! There were only 2 left, and one had a broker sprayer, so just the one little sanitizer. Hair clips because I’m forever doing skincare and my hair is always in my face submitted by /u/Less-Dependent-862 to r/dollartreebeauty [link] [comments]

Clarification regarding the hairdresser post shared yesterday
Hello, we are the hairdressers from Renu Hair. We’re posting to provide clarification following a post shared yesterday that has resulted in false and misleading allegations about our business. Unfortunately, the situation has escalated online, with details being altered across multiple posts, which has caused confusion and led to negative commentary from people who were not involved in the appointment. We want to outline what actually occurred from start to finish so the full context is available, as the facts of the appointment have not changed. The client booked in for a full head of foils/ on scalp bleach, the starting price for this is from $420 During the consultation, the client had shown how she wished for her hair to look. The only way to achieve those results were with bleach (as booked). Visible banding was identified, which meant the service required to be changed to a colour correction rather than a standard full head of foils/ on scalp bleach. This is where the price changed to $520. All our pricing and booking conditions can be found on our website. The pricing was discussed in full during the consultation and prior to beginning any work. the total cost was shown on our iPad including a break down of each service, alternative options were offered had this price been out of the clients budget A toner-only option was explained as a lower-cost alternative, with the clear understanding that the banding would reappear once the toner faded, for this we would not be liable as her existing colour was not done by us. Due to the condition of the hair, a k18 package treatment was recommended as an optional add-on, which the client agreed to. A haircut and styling were also included. The final total reflected the services discussed and confirmed prior to commencing. The appointment took approximately 4.5 hours and involved two hairdressers working together. The service performed included on-scalp bleach, as well as through the mids due to banding, root tap, toner, k18 treatment, haircut and curls. This is not comparable to a simple tone and cut, which generally takes significantly less time. Payment options were discussed beforehand, including Afterpay and Zip Pay, and the client chose how they wished to proceed. No services were added without consent, and no pricing was presented after the fact. We’re sharing this to provide full context and factual information, not to engage in arguments. We understand everyone’s budget is different, which is why we are upfront with pricing and always confirm details before proceeding submitted by /u/Adelinadilsen to r/Geelong [link] [comments]

Toner Pad Roundup: Mixsoon, Mediheal, Torriden
I've nearly panned most of these. Though they all serve different purposes, I wanted to post a little comparison review. I primarily use them for daily mini-masking. Skin type/Climate For context, I have combo/dehydrated skin that is very sensitive to irritation. I live in an area with hot, humid summers and cold, dry winters. Mixsoon Galactomyces Toner Pad Ingredients: Nothing really special here. Galactomyces ferment is pretty low on the ingredients list. Top ingredients are humectants + niacinamide Packaging: 60 pads. The little tweezers were constantly falling when I closed the box, rendering them useless. I had to constantly reach inside and contaminate the pads to grab them back out. The pads themselves are a nice thick material, like a typical cotton pad you find at a drugstore. One side is mildly exfoliating. Fragrance: None. Smells ever so slightly ferment-y Performance: Not brightening and hydration is just okay. I do like that because the pad is thick, the essence doesn't evaporate so quickly when mini-masking. Nothing special that I can't do with my own toner and cotton pads Overall: WNRP. Not brightening, okay hydration, nothing special. Mediheal Watermide Moisture Pads Ingredients: Lots of humectants in this one but also quite a few oils and extracts. Packaging: 100 pads— I love the quantity. And because these are absolutely soaked in essence, I didn't have an issue with them drying out in the box. I like that the tweezers are long, but they're stiff to use and it's dfficult to separate pads. The pads are a silky texture, similar to a silky sheet mask. The box itself sometimes doesn't close properly and I've heard it can leak terribly. I haven't tested this and keep it right side up. Fragrance: I'm not sure how to describe the fragrance but there definitely is one. Not the biggest fan of it but I can tolerate it Performance: Hydration is great but they unfortunately do not last long at all when mini-masking. I feel like they dry up on my skin within minutes sadly. Overall: WNRP. Decent hydration but dries up quickly. Prefer to DIY my own. Mediheal Madecassoside Blemish Pads Ingredients: Quite a few plant extracts and oils Packaging: 100 pads. Opinions are pretty much the same as the watermide ones. The pads are more of a thin gauze material and sometimes the loose threads are annoying Fragrance: Very strong herbal/earthy fragrance, like my asian parent's medicine cabinet (but in a good way). I personally love how it smells but I can see I being off-putting to some. Much stronger than how the sheet mask version smells Performance: Very soothing! Not as soothing as the sheet masks but they do have this lovely cooling effect. Like the watermide pads, they do dry up rather quickly when mini-masking. I prefer to use the sheet masks for face use instead. But I adore using these on my eyes! I cut them in half and put them on my eyelids when I nap or sleep. They help calm down irritation and puffiness from allergies (cause of said allergies featured in second picture) or when having a sad girl day. And they feel really nice when my eyes feel strained. Overall: RP. My indulgent aromatherapy spa treatment. I prefer the sheet masks, but love these specifically for my eyes! Torriden Balanceful Cica Toner Pads Ingredients: I wanted gentle exfoliation and landed on this one because it has both PHA and LHA, and no other actives like BHA, AHA, vitamin c, etc. Packaging: 60 pads. The pads are your typical thick cotton pads from a drugstore. The exfoliating side is pretty rough imo. My skin was really not happy with it, even when used gently. I just use the normal side instead. Fragrance: None. The natural smell is faint and vaguely chemical in the way most AHA's and BHA's smell. Performance: My skin is very sensitive to irritation and can't tolerate actives very well. These have been helpful for more frequent but gentle maintenance of texture and sebaceous filaments. I do have to spot treat with something stronger for acne though. I use them every 1-2 days on my t-zone (cheeks can't tolerate it as well). I didn't realize that there is a toner version of this at the time of purchase. I would like to try that next, but the toner does have betaine salicylate and lactic acid in addition to the PHA and LHA. I'm worried it'll be too harsh for my skin. Would love to hear from anyone who's tried both! Or any other LHA + PHA products. Overall: RP...? Great for gentle chemical exfoliation and maintenance of texture and sebaceous filaments. Considering trying the toner version instead though. After going through these, I vastly prefer DIYing my own for daily mini-masking.s performance-wise and cost-wise. Shout out to the unicharm silicot cotton pads for being soft, thin, and stretchable. They're still thicker than the mediheal toner pads though and last way longer on my face. I think toner pads are excellent for lazy days or for those that prefer a more "all-in-one" quick step of cleaning, exfoliating, and hydration. The exfoliating ones also tend to be much gentler than regular chemical exfoliants, so those with sensitive skin may like them. But otherwise, I've satisfied my curiosity and won't be trying any new ones. submitted by /u/RadiantStarr to r/AsianBeauty [link] [comments]

What are your favorite toner pads? How and when do you use them?
Hey again! So I've always been skeptical about toner pads since they seemed a bit wasteful to use each time. Using a regular liquid toner and my hands to pat in the product has always worked for me. However, I recently picked up the house of hur brightening pads on a whim at tjmaxx and they've been such a game changer even after a week! I've just been swiping the toner pad over my skin every night before applying the rest of my skincare. The toner pads are slightly textured so I think the physical exfoliation is what's making the noticeable difference? My skin looks looks less dull and feels a lot softer. So now I'm wondering if y'all had any hacks on how and when you use your toner pads. Also, what specific toner pads do you enjoy using? I'd love to try out more brands after this one. I've been changed LOL Thank you! submitted by

Do toner pads and sheet masks work?
Hi everyone. I have always been skeptical of toner pads and face masks in general. I do use sheet masks just cuz it makes me feel like i am taking care of skin. I do not think I reap any skin benefits tbh. And same goes with toner pads. They are essentially toner. So, what is the difference of using toner pads as opposed to just toner as itself? Toner pads have never been a part of my skincare so far. Hence, I wanted to know how other people felt. For me, it sounds more like marketing gimmick cuz honestly you run out of toner pads faster than actual bottles of toner. Let me all know your thoughts. Sheet masks and Toner pads + reviews
First post on here, apologies if I miss any rules! Quick backstory: I started getting into skincare in April (actually the reason why I started this new account) and it's been a blast! I wanted to share with you some of the products that have worked for me (and some that haven't) starting with masks and toner pads. Most of these are labeled "for daily use", but l use them less frequently. L-R, up-down: VT PDRN Daily Masks (30 sheets), 8/10: I'm not completely convinced with PDRN as an active ingredient but it's nice enough as a mask, no irritation, no scent, nourishing and fits me well. VT TX Toning Daily Masks (30 sheets), 9/10: I think I prefer this one over the PDRN just for the actives. But really, it's a mask, and I just enjoy using them as long as they don't break me out. I keep them both in the fridge and it feels great to put them on during these warmer nights. Lululun Wipe OFF Toner Pad (50 sheets), 7/10: Impulse buy! I was testing this out at a nearby drugstore, and It smelled so good and nostalgic I had to get it. It's described as a "marine" scent, and I think that's pretty accurate. But it's not the most luxurious feeling toner pad. It's feels pretty rough, and given that it's meant to exfoliate, I think it can easily be too harsh for some. Mediheal Watermide Moisture Pad (100 sheets), 8/10: Chose this particular one simply for the name and packaging, but ended up liking it a lot! I often use 3 sheets at a time as a mask (because I got it with the refill bundle)and I love the fresh, clean, "water-y" scent. The pads are super thin and silicon-y, which feels great as mask but slippery to wipe across your face. The square shape is a bit to fit on my forehead and I wish I could tear it apart more easily. I have to use scissors. Saborino Mega-Shot Night (32 sheets), 2/10: Broke me out horribly. After having troubled skin for a couple weeks (while using this with several other new products, bad, I know) I wore it one night, wiped the excess on my neck and chest and I woke up to horrible rashes that lasted for a few days. I tried washing the essence off my face when I used it last and it didn't break me out, but it still made me uneasy, so I'm giving this away. Skinfood Carrot Carrotene Calming Water Pad (60 sheets), 10/10: The one that turned me into a believer! Such a simple, pleasant, reliable, and economical toner pad. Refreshing and light, and can be used for a quick cleanse, moisturizing, exfoliation, soothing mask, depuffing. This was great during the colder months, but I think it's a little rich for the summer season. VT Azelaic Acid Cica Exosome Toner Pads (60 sheets), N/A: Haven't cracked into this one yet. Besides the Lululun and Saborino, I got all of these sheets and pads on sale from 30-50% off, and honestly, I wouldn't get any of them at full price. Anyway, what do you guys have on rotation? 😄 submitted by /u/carrotshaus to r/AsianBeauty [link] [comments]

Toner pads - how do you use them and what difference do they make?
I recently purchased Torriden balanceful toner pads and added them to my skincare routine. After double cleansing I swipe a toner pad across my face and neck. I didn’t expect this to be a game changer in my routine since I already double cleanse, but I was shocked by how grayish the pad looks after rubbing it on what I thought was my already cleansed skin. Am I cleansing wrong or is this normal?? I use an oil cleanser followed by a foam cleanser. I’ve noticed a drastic difference in my skin congestion since I began double cleansing about a year ago. Since using the toner pads after cleansing I’m seeing even more of an improvement. submitted by /u/MuchCar2777 to r/AsianBeauty [link] [comments]

jiyu toner pads ab marketing scam?
this is keeping me up at night because i did a full google search and can’t find anyone talking about it, and its driving me crazy LOL. a few red flags kind of stand out to me: every review i’ve seen of these toner pads seem like a paid promotion. the account on tiktok (ashkbeautytips) seems to be the most successful at pushing this product, in part because it looks the most natural, however one look at their page and their entire account is making various versions of rating skincare, with the pads being last product rated and their favorite. other accounts like (kbeauty4eva) use AI people to talk about the product, which makes me question it even more. (https://imgur.com/a/mHspo8O) honestly, one search on tiktok and you'll see how hard it is to find a genuine review. is the company actually a korean brand? not sure how loosely defined the term k-beauty is because this product does seem k-beauty inspired (especially with the asian sounding name), but the company that creates pads sells only under amzon and tiktok shop. on amazon, the parent company it says its sells from is "one living earth" which up until 2024 seems like an american based company based on website on instagram (currently its down, but i used wayback machine) furthermore, they don't sell on the usual k-beauty avenues like yesstyle, etc. the am*zon reviews look all the same with all the photos of the girls doing the same exact poses with the pads on their faces (see picture on this post) which makes me believe there was some kind of instructions involved when posting their "review" the more i kept looking the more i dug myself in a deeper hole...has anyone found this or tried it? TLDR; lots of red flags on jiyu toner pads? submitted by /u/gracedie to r/AsianBeauty [link] [comments]

Mediheal toner pads
These Mediheal toner pads save me on days na I get depressed and too lazy to take care of myself. Yung usual five steps nagiging two or three (cleanser, toner pads, moisturizer/sunscreen) na lang. Out of these three, my favorite is the blemish pad. Ang bilis mawala ng acne marks and blemishes. I’m currently using the white one since my goal now is to smoothen yung texture ng skin. Yung trouble pad di ko gaanong ramdam yung effect. I already bought the refills since hiyang sa skin ko. Super effective din for me yung eye ampoule, naglighten yung dark eyes ko. submitted by /u/nekouchan17 to r/beautytalkph [link] [comments]
