I have a couple of accounts, and both are several years old. I have never had an issue with CGB on both. If I try to submit a CGB order with transmit=False, the order is saved correctly; if I try a what-if order, it fails on both. So this looks like a what-if order issue, at least for my accounts. @hawktalk: I don't think LEGO is doing well in spite of the economy. I think it's doing well because it's seen as a stable investment that has a low entry point and outperforms the stock market. It's the same with trading cards. Market is full of people who have their collection organised as inventory in spreadsheets trying to offload stuff they bought 3 months ago.

A coworker showed me he was up $260 over a month of investing on Robinhood, so I decided to give it a try. Deposited $525 into a margin account. My wife was two months pregnant. After seven months building it over 50k, and an SNDK $550 2/27 c sold for profit while wife was sleeping in the hospital bed, I built the account up to $89,000. My daughter was born 3 months ago. Here you see my 3 month timeline. From that day, I have made incredibly horrible stupid plays, and burned it all the way back down. My biggest losses, screenshots attached, all were 100% revenge trades trying to chase trades that were barely wrong. MULTIPLE times I owned 25+ contracts of SPYX at 1.50, would sell them for 3.50 because the infant is needing more attention, only to realize that they ended the day worth 48.50.... but the times I don't sell and walk away it absolutely craters. Y'all know how it is. Casual fumble of 140,000 profit trade. Was holding SNDK 880c and was worried my position would be destroyed while I'm feeding the baby so I exit and it heads to 1100. Two Disclaimers: This is not my retirement it all came from $500 and I did also withdraw $20,000 in march to start an Edward jones account for the kiddo. So if anything my 500 turned into 20,000 for her. (Even though I blame this as the reason I started revenge trading. Trying to make back that 20k instantly.) Two weeks ago, I decided I hate Robinhood and took my last 7k into WeBull and bought puts on CAR before it fell so I'm up pretty big again. EDIT: I do NOT blame my child GEEZ lol y'all are wild right now. I was cocky cause I secured big gains off peanuts and was overconfident obviously. But now... my account was all of a sudden 20k less than usual. Revenge trade to make it back blindly on stocks and option strategies that I havent looked at the chart because I'm overconfident and "I'll go back to my normal methods after I make this back on some quick SPX options". blindly believing the war will end and spx will skyrocket, just time it. I laughed every time Alex talked about day trading and especially the scene where he had in his ear piece claiming he was listening to a speech by Jerome Powell in one ear and based off what he was hearing he was making moves in the market. This maybe sounds semi realistic to someone who has no idea how financial markets work but there is zero chance he is making money in the real world. Day trading means buying and selling financial assets within the same trading day and trying to profit from small price movements. Buying at 100.20 and selling at 100.40 off arbitrage or momentum off information you have that others don't have. You're competing against massive hedge funds or algorithmic trading firms which is why retail has no chance. It's glorified gambling and the small guy always loses. So I have been trading for some time now and developed a clear working strategy. I have seen some success, but my emotions would always get the best of me. I set out to automate my strategy in order to fully remove my emotions. It has been a long hard journey but it’s amazing to finally start seeing the fruits of my labor start paying off. Cheers! P.S. Started trading 5 years ago, right after Covid, initial investment was $5k into Tesla and doubled my account. After that it was all downhill. I’m also down $70k on Schwab, and another 20k on other trading platforms. Trading is complete gambling and always has been. Every time I thought I had an edge and would make a few thousand I’d give it all back plus more. There’s never an upside here, this is the hardest thing to do ever. I also never managed to get “lucky” on trades either. Never hit big. I’ve tried almost every method I can think of. This is a dark path that I never wanted to go down, caused more harm than good. Sharing this because maybe there’s others going through similar stories. The reality is trading is the hardest thing in the world, now I see why 99% fail. Hi, I’m a pro trader who have been in this business for 7+ years and over the years I have seen many traders come and go and many become profitable and many more amount huge losses and wreck their lives. I’m here to share some tips of how to go about trading so it can work for you. start trading with 0 capital the first 2 years, strictly. No matter how intuitive and easy it feels, trust me you are going to lose your capital no matter what. Trading requires you to know the market so well that even if you miss a single factor you will lose money in the market and even when you know everything to be profitable, you will still have market losses. learn from books, PDFs, YouTube videos. Stay away from indicators as they make you a lazy analyst, study price action and key levels from traders online who share them on YouTube. (Stay away from ICT as well). This is a lot of fun. If you’re curious by nature, there is so much information you come across (but it helps to have a bu*****t meter) as many traders chat nonsense. Even the so called experts. No one is an expert when it comes to the market, not even someone like Jesse Livermore, market is always your best teacher. pick a mentor who has a good understanding of the market, someone who has taught traders before and can guide you to become profitable. This will cost you a few upfront but you have a good guidance and much easier to learn as you also gain the mentor’s trading experience of do’s and dont’s which you can avoid. Saves time and trading money (in huge losses) but costs tuition. The whole experience of learning how to analyse and trade becomes comfortable when you’re lucky to choose the right mentor for you. Comfortable in the sense, s/he guides you when you make mistakes in analysis, when your thought process is wrong as you take trades, your blind spots can be seen, psychological help, and so on. Again, this is only an option. A good one at that. Regardless of what you do, DO NOT risk money until you have at least 1 profitable month in technical analysis or fundamental analysis - and every trade is “analysed” and not just entered without analysing. I can’t stress this enough - anyone can make money in the market as it’s just a simple buy or sell but staying consistent requires skill. Trading income is directly correlated to your skill. It’s a skill based income and not otherwise. Until you become highly skilled in this business you can never ever stay profitable. Do not listen to anyone, not your brokers, not the internet, not your friends or family members, trust that - trading is highly risky (especially if you have a gambling mindset) and you will lose all your savings if you do not invest into learning it as a skill. And as every skill it takes years to obtain - to learn what happens in the market would only take you 1-3 months (if you learn the right stuff) but as any skill goes - it’s experience that will make you money, and that requires years of experience in market. You get different types of market behaviour over the years and that teaches you a lot more than anyone can. Again, trading will take you minimum 3 years. If you have psychological issues it will 100% take you longer. Sometimes even 5-6 years. This is the truth. I hope this helps all. Know what you’re getting into and don’t risk your rent money. I've been developing and running strategies for years now, always trying to improve them and add filter, etc... often resulting in overfitting. (you can read my previous posts on this sub) Anyway, came to realize my most boring strategy on 2h timeframe is on the long run one of the best performing. It's boring, kinda frustrating sometimes because you're feeling like you miss a lot of opportunities, but results are here. I am now 27 years old and broke. Been trading since I was 19 years old. I’ve tried trading signal groups. I’ve been scammed out of being offered mentorships. I’ve tried trading options on my own. I’ve tried trading futures. I have no idea what the hell to do besides quitting. I am tired of being broke. I grew up in a family who struggled financially. I struggled financially as well, out of tiredness of being broke and seeing everyone around me living the life I dream of, I ended up starting to trade options. Lost all my life savings through out my jobs, dumping pay cheques after pay cheques. I tried several groups, watched some videos on youtube, got scammed on the road to trying to learn from people who claimed to be successful. I started trading futures last year, after being extremely unsuccessful with options. I got funded several times through topstep, but I would blow my funded within 48 hours. I keep dumping pay cheques into combines and funded. I don’t know what in the hell to do anymore. I have no assets. I have no money. I don’t want to give up but it seems like I have no choice if I keep trying, I’ll end up being broke forever. Is there any advice for me? I’ve taken several breaks from trading. Update: For those that are saying I have a gambling addiction, maybe I do, maybe I don’t. I have a very persistent personality, I don’t tend to give up on anything. I’m just trying to help my family and live a better life, but I screwed myself in the foot by consistently losing. After reading all these comments I appreciate all kinds of feedback the positive and the negatives. A lot of these feedbacks made me realize I have a risk management and discipline issue.
