Treadmill with Fastest Speed and Incline Changes
Hi all, I'm starting to narrow my search further, and wondering if people can please give me feedback about these choices in terms of fastest speed and incline changes? I like running intervals and hills, and quick speed and incline changes are a priority for me. (For reference, I run on a Precor at the gym and that speed is good enough for me. I have also run on a Spirit *way too slow* and a Matrix which is good enough but not awesome.) Choice 1: True (any model) Choice 2: 3G Cardio Choice 3: Stryker Slat Choice 4: Life Fitness OR Inspire (any model) The reason for these choices is simply that I can get them. Finding a treadmill outside of Toronto or Vancouver is ridiculously hard. I have not tried these, and have to buy on spec. submitted by /u/putthecoffeeon to r/treadmills [link] [comments]

Treadmill with incline or prioritise weight training
Hi all! So currently I have a flat walking treadmill. I’ve seen an incline treadmill to help with the excercise part. I have dumbbells at home so no issue there. I walk a lot when I’m in the office as it’s a walk from the bus stop, including very incline steps. I’m just wondering if an incline treadmill will help with MJ. My partner and I are going to the gym tomorrow so he can help me with exercises etc, depending on how that goes. I may sign up to the gym. Or would the incline treadmill be better and save a bit more money then spending on a gym membership if that makes sense. submitted by /u/BadAffectionate1760 to r/Mounjaro [link] [comments]

107kg -> 78kg | 6'0 | 26M | 8 months of deficit+Lifting || Transformation
I am 26, 6'0 feet tall, I recently transformed myself in the past 8 months. I started off in june 2025. DIET:- Started off with a 1500 calorie diet, i used to order a chicken salad for lunch and grilled/tandoori chicken for dinner, also had a scoop of whey protien After 4 months of the above diet i gradually started including more carbs and started to move towards a 2000 calorie diet, there was no fixed meal anymore, i used to switch between chicken rice, chicken sandwich for lunch And grilled chicken with a roti for dinner, i occasionally added a cheat meal too. WORKOUT: Started off with 30 mins of cardio which includes 10 mins of elliptical, 10 mins of treadmill and 10 mins of functional, like jumping jacks. Plus a 45 min strength session, where i did one body part per day, 3 set of 10-12 reps each. 4 months Later i switched to only 10 mins of cardio, which was inclined treadmill for 10 mins. And added the below split to strength training Chest + Triceps Back + biceps Shoulders + legs. Followed the above split twice per week, kept the rep range 8-12 for 4 sets each. I do 3 excercises for each body part, so a total 6 excercises per day. I keep on changing the excercises so cant mention them all. But it mainly included chest press (flat + incline), cable cross over, plus tricep pushdowns single arm. Lat pulldown, cable pullover, bicep curls, hammer curls Overhead shoulder presses, shrugs, side raises, leg extension and squats All these for 4 sets in 8-12 rep range, in reverse pyramid weight form. I added as much I could, but happy to help the questions in comments (if any) submitted by /u/guptarishabh2000 to r/Fitness_India [link] [comments]

Treadmill with no incline?
Hi, I've been walking on plain ground as well as my treadmill for quite a while now but I want to up my game a little. I've noticed my treadmill has no incline options (granted its a very old model that my parents had) and as someone who walked uphill and downhill on a vacation to a mountainous area, I genuinely enjoyed that. So, im looking to replicate it on my treadmill but there's no option or incline. I can't access the gym right now nor can I buy a new machine. I can walk outside but its just plain ground lol. submitted by /u/drewsaura to r/walking [link] [comments]

Arc Raiders Has Helped Me Lose Weight
TLDR: doing naked runs (in the game, you silly geese) while on the treadmill every morning has helped me lose at least 40 pounds in some capacity. Shout out to Arc Raiders for real. I wear clothes I swear! So I started trying to lose weight last August, and it was going very slowly at first. When I finally got Arc in November, I was hooked. I had started working out in the mornings, but eventually started slipping and wanting to play Arc instead. Eventually,y I figured out a way to work out and play at the same time. I rigged up my Steam Deck on a docking station with my switch joy cons, and walk on the treadmill while playing Arc Raiders. So now in the mornings, since I can’t aim that well on it, I just do naked runs (in the game). I just do 1-2 hours of incline walking on the treadmill, and burn hundreds of calories while I try to sneak around and get some loot. Shout out to my PvE lobbies, you’re the real MVPs. submitted by /u/ZurgenWoW to r/ArcRaiders [link] [comments]

Update post: not losing weight eating 1400 calories and working out like crazy
hi, I posted last week that I had been working out for a month and eating an average of 1400 cal. I was doing a lot of cardio, around 6-9 hours of fast incline walk and stairs per week, plus 1-3 hours of weights. my watch estimated I burned 1900 cal per day, but my body was swollen and I wasn’t losing any weight. I was also working 6 hours a day as a pizza chef. my scale fluctuated between 142-145 for the entire month of January. for context, I’m a 5’4 female, 36, and have been extremely athletic for most of my life prior to this weight gain so the update I wanted to post was that I stopped working out for a week and ate around the same amount of cal, 1200-1400 per day, and I “lost” 8 lbs. today I woke up at 137 and 26%bf. you really don’t have to starve yourself. inflammation from the workouts can hide progress. this is changing my relationship with working out and diet. you can live a normal life and get pretty shredded. I just wanted to share my experience, for any women who think they have to eat almost nothing to get the body they want. you don’t. enjoy life. dong listen, just stay the course. EDIT: Here's my workout if anyone wants, this one should only be done a max of 3x per week Warm-up (0–10 min) Treadmill: 3.5 → 5.5 mph, incline 3–5%, 5 minutes continuous. Dynamic circuit x2 rounds: • Air squats x10 (bodyweight) • Push-ups x10 • Walking lunges x10 steps (bodyweight) • Arm swings x20 Strength Circuit (10–30 min) – 4 rounds Barbell deadlift: 95–135 lb, 6–8 reps, controlled reset each rep. Walking lunges: 20–35 lb dumbbells, 20 total steps, slow and steady. Push-ups: 20 reps. Rest 90 seconds between rounds. Roman Chair + Core (30–40 min) – 3 rounds Roman chair back extensions: bodyweight or 10–25 lb plate, 15 reps. Hanging knee raises: 12–15 reps, slow, no swing. Flutter kicks: 40 total reps. Rest 60 seconds. Conditioning Block (40–50 min) Option A – Stair climber: Level 8–12 hard for 2 min, level 4–5 easy for 1 min, 3 rounds. Option B – Treadmill: 400 m at 7.0–8.5 mph, then 200 m at 3.5–4.0 mph, 3 rounds. Finisher (50–58 min) – 2 rounds Goblet squats: 35–55 lb, 15 reps. Walking lunges: bodyweight or 20 lb dumbbells, 20 steps. Mountain climbers: 40 reps. Rest 60 seconds between rounds. Cool Down (58–60 min) Walk 2 minutes at 2.5–3.0 mph. Stretch hips, calves, hamstrings, and low back. submitted by /u/Decent_Detective_352 to r/loseit [link] [comments]

How does the Treadmill activity deal with inclines? Or doesn't it?
I have a ramp workout whereby I stay at a constant pace but the incline increases by 1% every minute. I've calibrated my watch (FR55) to the treadmill and it's always fairly close in distance, even when doing intervals where the pace changes, but those were all flat runs. As my heart rate would increase as the incline increases, would Garmin just think I was running faster on the flat, and the end result would be a longer estimated distance? I know you can edit elevation afterwards but it doesn't affect any of Garmin's fitness calculations, which seem to be based just on what your watch has recorded during the activity. submitted by /u/Upbeat-Substance110 to r/Garmin [link] [comments]

Treadmill for Zwift around $2,000 with Incline and Decline
Currently looking for a treadmill around the $2,000 range or less with incline AND decline functions. I’d like to use it for Zwift and also importing real world routes into Kinomap to control the incline and decline and mimic real life courses/races. This makes the decline feature almost necessary for me. I’ve just about pulled the trigger on the Sole F85 with 15% incline and -6% decline. The only problem is that I’ve heard the incline changes are really slow and also the speed changes are slow (I’d like to do intervals as well). I tested one and it did seem like the incline took forever. This is almost a dealbreaker for me. Anyone have a Sole F85? Is the slow incline/decline so slow that it makes Zwift almost unusable? Does the incline still function reasonably well? Any other treadmills with incline/decline that you would recommend for Zwift and/or Kinomap? I’ve also looked at the Bowflex T10 with -5% to 15% but it seems these have lots of issues with their consoles and they also have such a gigantic footprint, I don’t really like them. But, I’ve heard they incline and speed up pretty quickly and do have the incline/decline I want as well as Zwift compatibility. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. Thanks! submitted by /u/adventurebiking to r/Zwift [link] [comments]

AIO for thinking it’s mean of my boyfriend to make comments about weight like this
I recently shared with him how I gained weight and how I am now 144 pounds and that I am actively dieting (1200 calories a day) and doing the treadmill on incline 30 minutes a day. I’ve only had 1200 calories today-breakfast, dinner, and a pancake and this was his response. submitted by /u/hellsfavsinner to r/AmIOverreacting [link] [comments]

The slop I have been eating every day for the last two years.
About 950 calories 110 grams of protein 35 grams of dietary fibre Edit: Since people are asking for the recipe: Ingredients 2 Onions 650g lean beef mince 1kg chicken breast 1kg mixed frozen vegetables 1kg black lentils 1) Cook the lentils by simmering in beef stock for 15 minutes (I would advise washing them first but I don’t judge) 2) While that is going cut the chicken into bit size pieces. I butterfly the breast, cut length wise into strips, cut those strips into cubes. 3) Season the chicken 4) Dice the onion 5) Brown the onion to soft 6) Add the mince and season it 7) When mince is brown add the chicken 8) When chicken is cooked add the frozen veges with some water and close the lid 9) Once the veges are steamed and finished add the lentils. 10) Leave lid off until as much liquid has evaporated off. Seasonings: salt, pepper, cayenne pepper, paprika, chilli flakes, garlic, ginger. If you want to cut out unnecessary calories ditch the onions, I added them as a treat to myself :) Edit 2: To answer some commonly asked questions Do I enjoy it? Yes. Am I autistic? Not to my knowledge. Price? About R300/$17 for 7 meals. Is this much protein bad for you? This thread has given me reason to do some research, but it seems like definitely yes. Do you not get sick of this? No. Are you jacked? Not yet. Why? This is not just protein or nutrition maxing. I enjoy cooking (although I am still in a phase of improving), I just do not like cooking every day. I am not sick of this meal. Getting all of my health goals down in one meal allows me to splurge in other meals. I do enjoy eating, I am just wired in a way that I do not have to enjoy every single meal. Do I hate myself? No. Am I a dog? Woof. Why did you make it so dry? I did not know there where other options... Why ziploc bags? Easy. Edit 3: Why are you eating out of a dog bowl? This is a cooking pot my grandmother gave me ): Are you in jail? Not yet. I AM NOT AUTISTIC OR A DOG I AM A HUMAN BOY Edit 4:People are asking why I started doing this. I got depressed and gained 20kg in less than 6 months. Then I got depressed because I was overweight. So I decided I was going to try gymmiing. Did not do it very smartly. An hour of cardio a day (incline treadmill max height big speed), 6 days a week of strength training. I ate very little. Mostly ate chicken breast - however much was needed to reach protein goal. When I had to money I would instead do biltong. Of course there were meals basically every day that I couldnt get out of. Most days I would do my best to eat only 4 chicken breasts and nothing else. I lost the weight very quickly and started chasing a number on a scale. Did not help with the being depressed part - especially as I was malnourished. Ended up hating chicken breast, I could feel myself actually getting stupid (brain fog), in the gym if I could do 20 reps in the first set I would be lucky to get 3 reps in the second. Got to a point where I just said fuck it and stopped eating healthy and gymming altogether. Gained about 5-10kg again after the fact. Then I did not like how I looked in the mirror. Decided to do things more healthily. My relationship with food, although unorthodox, is healthy now. I realize now that I was probably on my way to an ED. And do you know what stopped me from developing one? I FUCKING HATE CHICKEN.I could not do it anymore. I am now healthy and happy... Edit 5: I will not lie to you guys, the farts are bad and it is a problem. Edit 6: Autistic people are real, can be boy, and are not dogs, and I also support the gays. Forgive my poor wording earlier. Edit 7: Apparently I have succeeded in making dry soup. Did not think it was possible. Edit 8: Before I go to bed. I boil my bacon and it is FUCKING DELICIOUS AND TENDER AND CRISPY. Fuck all of you guys that are not enlightened. Edit 9: What the fuck is chilli tho? Edit 10: Turns out my meal is borderline French, Indian, American, Korean, Spanish and Dirt. 6 weeks in the gym later.
Just a little over a month ago I started hitting the gym, I posted here asking for must haves. Now about 6 weeks later here I am. My weight loss journey started in May technically and I clocked in at 265 lbs. The first session in the gym I weighed 250 lbs. This morning I weighed in at 243.5 lbs. I can't believe I even have muscles right now, I can't wait to get even more jacked. Edit: I am honestly so shocked at how much this post blew up! Thank you all for the words of encouragement. I am so happy to hear that I have helped motivate some of you too! I have been asked a couple times what my routine looks like so here it is. 2 X a week - Personal Trainer days. Reborn at age 33
Pic 1 - 10/31/23 Pic 2 - 7/1/19 Pic 3 - 1/1/24 vs. 10/1/24 Pic 4 - 8/13/25 Pic 5 - 8/12/25 Pic 6 - 6/26/25 To start, I’ve always struggled heavily with my body image to the point where I always had to wear sweatshirts (didn’t matter if it was 100+ degrees) and very baggy clothes, avoided taking pictures any time I could, even avoided looking at mirrors. I’ve always been a pretty chunky athlete growing up. Was heavy into sports but always took the easy way out when it came to training and was never educated on diet or nutrition. I had times in my early 20s where my weight would yo-yo as I’d get semi-serious about the gym, but still never focused on my diet. In 2020 I moved halfway across the country with an alcoholic ex. The pandemic was already a very isolating time, but now removed from all my friends and family and stuck in an abusive relationship gave me even more of an excuse to eat and drink myself to death. Although I was lifting heavy 3-4 times a week, I was eating fast food at least once if not twice a day, and going through about a handle of vodka every 3 days. In 2022, my ex was finally arrested for DV twice in a 2 week span, I was granted a restraining order against her, and the isolation got even worse, causing me to spiral even more out of control. However, I have been blessed with the best and most supporting family anyone could ever ask for; I finally mustered up the courage to call them and filled them in on what had been going on for the past 4 years. Immediately they told me to come back home and get my head right and I essentially bankrupted myself to get out of my lease and move as much of my stuff back. Getting back, my head still was all kinds of fucked up. We went on a family trip out of the country for a cousin’s wedding, and after returning home we were showing all the pictures to some other family members and I found myself unable to even look at myself; I was so embarrassed as to what I had become. This was December of 2023 and this is when I completely snapped. I immediately quit drinking and eating any food I did not cook myself. I decided to go full carnivore, 20 hours intermittent fast, high intensity heavy lifting training 7 days a week/3hours a day, and in bed by 9 and up for the gym by 4 EVERY. FUCKING. DAY. I bought a Withings scale that measures body fat % (I know it’s not the most accurate but I wanted the trending data). In January 2024, the scale read 230lbs at 38% body fat. In June, the scale read 154lbs at 4% body fat. I’ve since added carbs back in and stopped intermittent fasting (my daily goal is 300g (I know way overdoing it but is usually falls short at around 225-250) of protein submitted by

Any benefits to training in gym with gear on (inclined treadmill, stairmaster)?
Hey guys, I know this looks weird but give me a chance haha. I have been going through a rough emotional patch and the hope of getting out to the mountains is one of the only things pulling me out of my dark hole at home. Therefore whilst I already prepare with trail running, rock climbing and whilst I know that nothing beats training as going to the mountains, while those dates arrive, I now wish to prepare for some inclined treks and also ice climbing at my gym. Basically 3 things: wholly inclined treadmill with all my usual mini expedition weight on, stairmaster to work the legs muscles and stamina, and with my ice axes with rubbers on doing pull ups on the weight assisted machine which worked really cool (without gear for now). I have to say it felt very similar to when i trek to towards the glacier and was able to adjust for optimal proportions my bag straps and also get used to my new boots. Some dude at the gym saw me with all the gear on and started making fun of me (fair) and said I will get injured and to do the treadmill and stairmaster without weight. And a fellow mountain guide said I can do with thr weight but increasing gradually first from a smaller weight, and preferably with the gear inside, as happens until the approach to the glacier. I did however thought to keep the gear outside despite it being dramatic and unnecessary because since it is a large country club with many sportsy people, it helped kinda discover 2 other fellow mountaineers and to have conversations with people interested in getting into it kinda, when I arrive and leave. I was thinking it would be a practical way to find people in the sport or interested to begin since I often find these lads are hard to find haha and also they'd have much of a possibility to afford the sport here (I am getting into debt myself haha). I guess I am mostly a bit insecure that people at the gym/club will think I am weird (though I am 😎) or trying to show off unnecessarily but honestly I would do this even if the whole building was empty and nobody saw me. Just wanna know if you see benefits to this and risks of injury to avoid. Thanks! Sorry for the long text. submitted by /u/peeonher2showd to r/Mountaineering [link] [comments]

Achieved my goal weight!
Starting weight was 321 lbs in May of 2024. My original goal was to lose 100 lbs in a year (goal weight of 221 lbs). Within 6 months, I had lost 80 lbs, so I decided to increase my target to 121 lbs, for a final goal weight of 200. The last 10 to 15 pounds have been really stubborn, but I'm happy to report that, as of the beginning of February, I have achieved my goal weight and entered ONEderland!! For those who wonder... It's been a balance of diet (high protein, low calories, high fiber, low fat) and exercise. I've been going to Planet Fitness for 4 to 6 days per week since I started my journey, and my workouts consist of a mixture of strength training and fat burning/cardio. More recently, I've been doing more serious lifting (heavier weight and less reps, to build muscle mass), but I'm still doing a mile of inclined walking on the treadmill each time I go. I am 6'0" and 42 years old,. I started on 2.5mg, then titrated up each month until I reached the max dose of 15mg. I did spend a couple of extra months on 10 and 12.5 mg before moving to 15, but I've been on 15 for three months now. I've had virtual no negative side effects, other than mild to moderate constipation in the beginning and some mild random nausea for the first 6 or 7 weeks. I'm very happy with my weight loss, but I am trying to add a little more muscle mass. I'm dealing with a good amount of lose skjn, especially around the bottom of my stomach (the shorts are pulled up high to hide it in the "after" pic). I do feel amazing, and never thought I'd be this healthy again in my life. I'm fully committed to keeping the weight off, and will be working with my doctor to transition into "maintenance mode" to decrease my dosage. My ultimate goal is to get off of the medication all together abd see if I can maintain the healthier eating and exercise habits on my own, but I'm ok with staying on a small maintenance dosage for the rest of my life, if that's what it takes. This group has been a big inspiration and support for me along my journey, and I wanted to share my story and results in hopes that it inspires or helps someone else. submitted by /u/tobias3175 to r/Zepbound [link] [comments]
