What is Tubing Mascara?

Tubing mascara is a type of mascara that forms tiny 'tubes' around each lash, rather than simply coating them with pigment. This unique formula allows for smudge-proof, flake-proof, and long-lasting wear, making it a popular choice for many makeup enthusiasts.

Why is Tubing Mascara trending?

1
Long-Lasting Wear
Tubing mascara is known for its impressive staying power. It can withstand sweat, humidity, and tears, making it ideal for long days or special occasions.
2
Easy Removal
Unlike traditional mascaras that require makeup remover, tubing mascara can be easily removed with warm water. This convenience appeals to users who prefer a hassle-free makeup removal process.
3
Smudge and Flake Resistant
Tubing mascara is designed to resist smudging and flaking throughout the day, which is a common issue with regular mascaras. This feature is particularly attractive to those with oily skin or who wear makeup for extended periods.
4
Natural Look
Many users appreciate the natural look that tubing mascara provides. It enhances the lashes without clumping, giving a more defined and separated appearance.
5
Suitable for Sensitive Eyes
Tubing mascaras are often formulated to be gentle on the eyes, making them a great option for individuals with sensitive eyes or those who wear contact lenses.

tubing mascara recommendations?
hi everyone!! ive been looking for a new tubing mascara recently and was curious if anyone has advice/recommendations. for reference i love the kevyn aucoin mascara but am no longer able to get it, i have also try the rudi & beaubble mascara and really liked it!! ive also used the milani tubing mascara and liked the length but didn’t love it as much as the others as i found it wet and less natural. i looked at the mcobeauty mascara (kevyn aucoin dupe) but then saw reviews claiming it had changed and was difficult to remove…thoughts? EDIT: i have tried thrive and tarte and find them to be similar to the milani one, thanks for all the replies!! submitted by /u/Individual-Mix-6669 to r/Makeup [link] [comments]

Tubing Mascara!
Wondering if anyone has any recs for tubing mascara that they love. I have found in my nearly 40 years of age that my lashes break like crazy lately, even after changing my lash curler twice and being extra gentle. I’ve been loyal to Maybelline Lash Sensational for as long as I can remember but am wondering if the removal process is causing it. I use Ponds to remove makeup but sometimes switch to a generic oil free remover and haven’t noticed a difference. Hoping this might help! submitted by /u/cardigante to r/MakeupAddiction [link] [comments]

what drugstore mascaras give a result like this? (waterproof or tubing preferred)
hi! i’m trying to find a drugstore mascara that gives this kind of look: very defined, long lashes with that feathered effect, not super clumpy but still bold. i’m especially interested in waterproof or tubing mascaras because regular formulas smudge on me really easily. curl-holding is a huge plus too. if anyone knows of any drugstore mascaras that can get close to this look (or combos / techniques), i’d love recommendations! thanks 💗 submitted by /u/Top_Main7634 to r/MakeupAddiction [link] [comments]

Tubing mascara besides tarte?
I've been using tarte "tartlette" tubing mascara for a few years and I am so ready to find something new. When I first started using it, I loved the formula and with a subscriptin, shipping was free. Plus there a subscription discount so the price was reasonable. But for the last year or so they are missing the mark. Every tube has a different consistency - sometimes super dry, sometimes wet. I'm not a fan of the applicator brush anymore, it doesn't do enough and I always have to go back thru with a dry spoolie. Then sometimes it's hard to wash off, which is the entire purpose for tubing mascara for me. AND now they charge for shipping, there is no discount, and their website is absolute trash 😑 Just curious if there are other brands of tubing mascara that people love! submitted by /u/cherryfreemilk to r/MakeupAddiction [link] [comments]

Tubing mascara cry for help
Alright. Everyone says tubing mascara is the best. Holy grail. Over the last year I have tried Thrive, Elf, L’Oréal, Tarte tubing mascaras. Every single one flakes on my under eye area. I’m a flight attendant. By the time I get to work and on the plane I have to wipe my under eyes. What am I doing wrong???! I’m wondering if it’s my skincare or makeup that maybe makes it do this. Here is my routine: Laneige cream skin toner Cosrx snail mucin The ordinary squalane oil Round lab SPF IT cosmetics CC cream Catrice under eye brightener I use very hydrating Korean skincare products bc I am on Tret which dries me out. I’ve tried adding setting powder to my under eye area, didn’t matter. Still flaked. And I’m talking about LOTS of flakes. Not one or two. At least 5-10 on each eye. I am making sure the tube isn’t dried out. I am applying two coats quickly before the first coat dries. I thought maybe it was bc planes are dry but it still does this when I’m at home. Please help! Tell me what to do, or better yet, tell me what your holy grail NON TUBING mascara is. Flake and smudge free. Thank youuuu submitted by /u/Mcpatz to r/Makeup [link] [comments]

warning: be very careful with removing tubing mascara
hey guys, i know this probably seems like obvious advice but if you’re like me, if i’m at home and my eyes are itchy, sometimes i subconsciously rub my eyes and rub till the mascara is gone and then wash my face. if you’re wearing tubing mascara (or probably in general lol) DONT do this. i bought the essence tubing mascara (great mascara btw lol) and one day rubbed my eyes until there was no mascara left on my eyelashes. a couple of days later i had a stye on both eyes and one of them turned into a chalazion. after a month, finally got rid of that, and a few days ago i made the mistake of rubbing my eyes AGAIN with the tubing mascara and woke up with another stye. keep in mind i always wash my eyes with a cleansing balm, then face wash, making sure to scrub my eyelashes and get rid of any mascara debris. I think with tubing mascara, you have to be really careful with how you remove it. idk if there’s something wrong with me lol but whenever i remove it, the mascara doesn’t come off in perfect tubes but instead in little clumps. i think the clumps can get into the eyelid margin and clog the eyelashes which continues to cause my styes. During this time i was using proper eyelid hygiene and completely washing my eyes before bed, and this still happened. So please be careful guys! And if anyone has any tips on how to remove tubing mascara, let me know (my eyes will thank you) submitted by /u/butterflybunny21 to r/MakeupRehab [link] [comments]

Japanese tubing mascara

Why do people like tubing mascara??
I’m so frustrated. EVERY single tubing mascara that I’ve tried flakes badly and smudges constantly. Isn’t it supposed to be the “foolproof” mascara in a sense for these exact reasons? Plus I never find it comes off easier than regular mascara. I’ve tried all the supposedly “good” brands and a few others and they all do this. On a positive note though, the only mascara I’ve found that absolutely does not smudge or flake on me is the Bobbi Brown No Smudge Mascara.
