Is Virtual Assistant trending?

Virtual Assistant declining with a month-over-month change of -1.19% over the past 5 years, though it still receives approximately 33,100 monthly searches.

This is a seasonal trend that peaks every May. The seasonal demand is forecasted to grow over the next year.

Why is Virtual Assistant trending?

1
Cost-Effective
Hiring a virtual assistant is more cost-effective than hiring a full-time employee. Virtual assistants work on an hourly or project basis, which means clients only pay for the work done. There are no additional costs such as benefits, office space, or equipment.
2
Flexible
Virtual assistants offer flexibility in terms of working hours and location. They can work from anywhere in the world and can adjust their schedule to meet the client's needs. This makes it easier for clients to get work done outside of regular business hours or during peak periods.
3
Specialized Skills
Virtual assistants often have specialized skills in areas such as social media management, graphic design, or bookkeeping. Clients can hire virtual assistants with the specific skills they need, without having to train or hire a full-time employee.
4
Increased Productivity
Virtual assistants can help increase productivity by taking on administrative tasks, allowing clients to focus on their core business activities. They can also help with time-consuming tasks such as scheduling, email management, and research.
5
Scalability
Virtual assistants can help businesses scale up or down quickly. Clients can hire additional virtual assistants as their business grows, or reduce the number of virtual assistants during slow periods. This makes it easier for businesses to manage their workload and costs.

You're currently earning slightly below the average minimum wage in China, I used to think there's plenty jobs in China and everyone there earns comfortably. Well, you can try finding a client online who needs someone in China to run errands or source for products and charge the client per hour working as their virtual assistant or something.

I need to hire a virtual assistant and I'm panicking. Help?
I've been doing everything myself. Writing, editing, uploading, emails, analytics, scheduling. It's too much. My work is suffering because I'm splitting focus. But I've never hired anyone before. like not even an intern. I don't know what to do. How do I even start? Do I just post on job sites? Do I find an agency? What are red flags when hiring? What should I pay? Also how do I know if someone is actually going to do the work or if they're gonna ghost me? I think i need someone for maybe 15-20 hours a week. Mostly admin stuff and scheduling. Nothing super technical. My budget is like 3000/month max. Is that realistic? honestly if you just point me to a guide or something that would help too. I'm overwhelmed. UPDATE: hired someone finally lol. went with an agency in the end, Virtual Coworker. matched me with a VA from the philippines, starts next week on inbox and scheduling. ngl the dms were a lot. like 60 people pitching themselves which honestly made it harder not easier. that's part of why i went agency, couldnt deal with vetting people one by one on top of everything else. quick stuff for anyone in the same boat: 3k for 15-20 hrs is fine, some people said i was even on the high end. budget wasnt the issue. upwork and onlinejobs kept coming up but both meant doing all the screening myself which was the whole problem. people who'd done it before said it works, just not for a first time hire when you're already drowning. agency was more per hour but no recruitment to run, and replacements are in the contract so the ghosting fear is at least covered. that last part was a big one for me. paid trial week starts soon, will see how it goes 🤞 submitted by /u/Terrible_Aspect8183 to r/smallbusinessesowners [link] [comments]

Which virtual assistant platforms actually work? (Looking for real recommendations)
question for people who use VA platforms. i'm looking to hire part time help through a platform rather than direct hire. basically looking for someone to handle admin tasks so i can focus on client work. specifically interested in which platforms are actually legit? how do you vet someone on these platforms? reviews seem inconsistent. some people give 5 stars for anything. pricing structure? can you find people in the 8-12/hour range or is that unrealistic? contract terms? do most people do monthly retainers or hourly billing? i've had bad freelancer experiences before so i'm probably more paranoid than most. but i also don't have the bandwidth to manage a full recruitment process. what platforms do you actually use and recommend? any platforms you'd tell people to avoid? experience appreciated UPDATE: took a couple weeks to go through everyone's suggestions and figured i'd post where i landed in case useful. basically there's three buckets. freelance sites (upwork, onlinejobs, fiverr) are the cheapest but you handle all the vetting yourself. that's the part i was trying to avoid so these were out. US-based managed services (belay, time etc, prialto, zirtual, 50hrs) seemed solid but pricing wasn't realistic for me, most were 20-25/hr or 2500+/month for full time. then agencies that place philippines-based vas. went with Virtual Coworker they're a US and australia based agency but the VAs are Philippines-based, which is why the 8-12/hr is doable. picked them mainly because no recruitment fees and replacements are included in the contract. been a few days into the trial, one VA on admin first and we'll see how it goes. the reliability point a few people raised stuck with me too. skills you can test in a week, reliability takes longer. trying to set the first month up so a bad fit shows up early instead of week 6. submitted by /u/Mindless_Market_4232 to r/smallbusinessowner [link] [comments]

Where can I find a good virtual assistant (VA) for a fair price?
Just as the title says. I have a small operation that focuses on educating health care professionals on personal finances. I have a book I’ve written but don’t have the time to post on social media and build hype and sell. I think a VA would be a great addition to my team but am unsure of where to start or find a good one for a fair price. Any guidance would be greatly appreciated. submitted by /u/Extension-Lab-6963 to r/Entrepreneur [link] [comments]

I want to be a virtual assistant but I don't know where to start.
Hi! I’m M 19, a second-year Psychology student. My sister just bought me a laptop today, and I’m planning to try working as a virtual assistant. The thing is, I honestly don’t know where to start, especially since I don’t have any real experience yet. I only have very basic knowledge of email management, canva, excel, and google docs. I can use them, but not at an advanced level. I’m willing to learn and invest time to improve my skills, I'm just overwhelmed because everything seems so broad and I don’t have a clear direction yet. I want to earn money and be productive, but I'm struggling with where to start. Any advice/tip is appreciated, thank you!! submitted by /u/letjungcook_b to r/VirtualAssistantPH [link] [comments]

Virtual Assistant 26 yrs old
Hey guys meron ba talaga yumayaman as a VIRTUAL ASSISTANT? I’ve been in the industry for 3 yrs now my niche is SEO/ Basic Google Paid Ads as a VA. I’m from the PH and wala pa naman asawa at anak kasi priority ko muna mag ipon ipon x 999 at focus sa work. So guys - my main question is kaya ba talaga maging mayaman dito? Naka hourly rate ako sa clients ko ngayon kasi di pa ako confident to charge na naka package rate. Ang advice kasi nila mas ok na naka package rate yung offer para mas malaki kitaan. I get my clients thru upwork din. Any tips guys or real-life testimonies na kaya talaga? 🥹🥹 ps. hindi galing sakinyung screenshot pahiram sa owner, ha! sana ako rin at tayo ding mga aspirants na maka 6-digits **consistently per month. LPT: If a company is forcing you to speak to a virtual assistant or chatbot to get help, tell it you want to cancel your services/plan/subscription/etc and they will redirect you to a human assistant
This was a tip from my girlfriend who works in customer support, because I was struggling to get urgent help from my energy provider as they had me on loop trying to explain my issue to an AI who didn't understand anything I was saying, and same thing with a chatbot on their website. The virtual assistant wanted me to recite my 12-digit account number, and the chatbot only had 3 predefined questions I could ask. I then told the virtual assistant I wanted to cancel my plan and they immediately redirected me to a human agent. No waiting line whatsoever. I'm guessing it was the retention department, but when I explained my issue, the agent transferred me to the correct department and my problem was solved in 5 minutes. Then I did the same with my healthcare provider because I also needed to ask them something, so I said I wanted to cancel it and they sent me to a human agent. I will 100% be trying this in the future whenever I need help from lazy companies whose services I have to pay for. So there you go. I'm sure this won't work in all cases but it's worth a try if you're going in loops with an unhelpful AI. submitted by /u/juliafalcao to r/LifeProTips [link] [comments]

Help me name my vacuum! Tired of all virtual assistants having womens’ names.
Idk the right flair. There’s Alexa and Siri. Every digital assistant has a “woman voice/name”. My mother got me an amazing vacuum. It’s amazing. It sweeps and mops at the same time. It even self cleans. It also has a voice, again only female sounding options, that says what it needs, “I need clean water”, on repeat. I wanted to name it Rosie from the Jetson’s, but I’m tired of every robot being a “lady”. I need name ideas, as it’s here to stay and now family. Edit 2: Not that anyone cares, but our trashcan is now named Dustbin Bieber, thanks Beesdoesnthavelungs Edit: I'm going with Ross/Rossi. He/Him. Thank you everyone. I expected a couple suggestions and instead got so much joy reading everyone's funny names and learning others humanize their machines/tools too. Also, those who mentioned, AI with feminine names having a problematic history and is being activily studied, I find it fastinating.
