Re: TATCHA - June 6th TSV
@Calibeach I haven't used the brightening serum yet. I'm at the end of my bottle of SkinCeuticals vitamin C serum. I think I'm going to get this kit. I love the face cream (though it's a tad greasy if too much is used), the rice polish, and the eye cream. I think sometimes with a vitamin C serum, it either works for you or it doesn't. This one looks promising.

I just had a baby and started a full skincare routine to try to feel better about myself again and it is working! My skin has never looked better. I use byoma products and a Korean face wash. In the morning I wash my face, then milky toner, vitamin c, lotion, sunscreen. At night I wash, then milky toner, serum, under eye caffeine cream, then lotion.

I Tested 30+ Dollar Tree Skincare Products So You Don't Have To🫶
Reposting because my images were messed up last time. 😅 I spent the last several months testing a ton of Dollar Tree skincare products and finally made a ranking chart of everything I've actually used. A little context: • Dry/dehydrated skin • Sensitive skin • Looking for hydration, barrier repair, and overall glow • Not focused primarily on acne • Strongly dislike skincare that smells like food 😂 Every product on the charts came from Dollar Tree, and honestly, some of them completely surprised me. My biggest discoveries: ⭐ Milky toners are amazing for dry skin ⭐ Hyaluronic acid products consistently performed well ⭐ Oatmeal-based skincare was one of the biggest winners ⭐ Niacinamide products were some of the best values My highest-rated Dollar Tree products: 🏆 Rice Water Milky Toner 🏆 Dermasil Oatmeal Milk Toner 🏆 Glow Up Hyaluronic Acid Overnight Booster 🏆 Hydro Plus Water Gel 🏆 Niacinamide 5% + Squalane Serum 🏆 Turmeric Face Milk 🏆 Dermasil Night Cream My most controversial opinion: If a skincare product smells too much like strawberries, grapes, cookies, or dessert, I'm immediately suspicious. 😂 Overall, I was genuinely shocked by how many products performed well considering they were only $1.25. Has anyone else found any hidden gems at Dollar Tree? What should I try next? Note* 4 images slightly adjusted during edit, those products will be pictured last in set of photos. submitted by /u/TemptinAphrodites to r/dollartreebeauty [link] [comments]

Trader Joe’s Vitamin C Serum
Who is trying this now? For me, it’s been about a week. Too soon to verify results. Before, I was using Timeless Vitamin C, which is decent. The Trader Joe’s serum leaves my face much shinier (not in a bad way), but I’ve noticed more pilling. I wait 10-20 minutes before applying sunscreen. Does anyone else have this problem. Any other takeaways? submitted by /u/FrederickTPanda to r/30PlusSkinCare [link] [comments]

Non-greasy AM moisturizer + vitamin C serum for sensitive skin (type 1 rosacea)?
(for context, I live in Italy) I'm searching for a lightweight moisturizer (preferably with ceramids) and for a good lightweight vitamin C serum, both for daytime. No niacinamide whatsoever, no fragrance, no essential oils nor drying alcohols. I recently tried switching from the Cerave moisturising lotion (which makes my big forehead shiny like a lightbulb now that the weather got warmer) to Vanicream - painfully imported through iHerb - because I've seen many people with rosacea praise how good their products were, but I found both their vit C serum and moisturizer very greasy and they make my face very shiny. I tried applying smaller amounts, I even tried rubbing my hands together to warm up the products before applying them, but either it feels like I apply not enough, or when I do apply enough it feels and looks greasy. I'm in my mid 30s, I have type 1 rosacea on my cheeks and combination-dry skin (mostly dry, just my nose is oily) and I do not sweat on my face at all although my face does get very warm due to the type 1 rosacea so products tend to melt on me in summer. My forehead is not super sensitive (I can even handle Geek& Gorgeous' A-Game⁵ retinal serum), nor is my nose, but every other part of my face is extremely sensitive. I have some static wrinkles on my forehead (hence the vit C in the morning + the retinal at night). For reference, my current morning routine is: 1) Cerave oil cleanser 2) hydrating eye cream from a local pharmacy brand 3) Celimax dual barrier creamy toner (everywhere except the eyes) 4) Tirtir 12% azelaic acid serum on my cheeks (alternating with The Ordinary hyaluronic serum) + Vanicream vit C serum on my forehead 5) Vanicream daily facial moisturizer all over my face except the eyes 6) Skin1004 hyalu-cica sun serum (sunscreen, the only product with niacinamide that my skin doesn't react to). I also always wait 10 minutes between each step, except for the toner which dries quickly so I just wait 2 minutes after that one. submitted by /u/kiravir to r/EuroSkincare [link] [comments]

Best face cleanser? I tested 50+ [review]
Since my last cleanser post I have tried a few extra that were recommended as well as added in all the oil, balm and micellar cleansers I’ve tried. The most important for me in a cleanser is that it removes all makeup, sunscreen and excess dirt whilst still being gentle and non-stripping, all at a reasonable price. Bonus - I don’t want to feel like it’s a chore! - Smells good (without using fragrance or sensitizing oils. My sensitive skin doesn’t react well to these) - Nice texture & an enjoyable cleansing experience - Cute packaging. About me + Routine. I have combination/sensitive skin that is prone to breakouts although it’s all been stable and under control lately 🤞. This is my current routine in order (haven’t included the occasional exfoliators/masks/peptides). Murmure: Mellow Mallow Cleanser. Bioderma: Sensibio H2O Micellar Water. Timeless: 20% Vitamin C + E Serum (morning). Differin 0.1% Adapalene Gel (evening). Skinfix: Barrier + Triple Lipid-peptide Anthelios UVMUNE 400 Invisible Fluid SPF 50+. submitted by /u/emi518 to r/SkincareAddiction [link] [comments]

Vitamin C or Glycolic acid for glowing, less dull skin and tan lightening? And is Minimalist effective for this? (Read body text please)
So I've been researching a lot for lightening and preventing further tan on my face and found out that these two ingredients help a lot. I usually have dry/combination skin and I get occasional mild white heads on my nose and chin but Salicylic acid face wash has helped me in that. Which ingredient would be better or more effective? And should I get a serum and/or some other product? Please do recommend a good and effective brand. Also, if you can I'd really appreciate a good sunscreen suggestion, but since I don't go out in the sun a lot I don't wanna get something too expensive (Max Rs.600 per 100gm) submitted by /u/Idrk_mate to r/IndianSkincareAddicts [link] [comments]

Explaining skincare to all the men like they are 5
Since skincare feels intimidating to most guys, here’s the simplest way to think about it: 1 face wash to remove sweat, oil and dirt (please stop using body soap on your face), 2 serum to target things like acne, dullness or uneven skin, even something basic like vitamin C or niacinamide works, 3 moisturizer to keep your skin hydrated and avoid that dry tight feeling, and 4 sunscreen which is honestly the most important step as it protects from sun damage, tanning, dark spots and early wrinkles. That’s it, no need for a complicated routine, just stay consistent and you’re already doing better than most. submitted by /u/80085-58008 to r/TwentiesIndia [link] [comments]

Best vitamin C serum for face? Recommendations for my gf.
update: Went with one of the picks from that post (budget one) based on suggestions here. Her skin looks noticeably brighter after a few weeks and zero irritation, so she thanks me a lot :p ThankS for HELP! Looking for a best vitamin C serum recommendation for my girlfriend, she's got sensitive skin and i have no idea where to start. Saw this post in this sub comparing a few options at different price points and it looked pretty helpful, but still not sure which one is actually worth it. Not sure if spending more makes a real difference or if a cheaper one does the same job for sensitive skin. Any advice would be good, thank yoU! submitted by /u/_Free_Palpatine_ to r/recsmatter [link] [comments]

Best Vitamin C serum for face in 2026?
Thinking about adding a vitamin c serum this year because my skin’s been looking kinda dull lately and sunscreen alone isn’t cutting it. I keep seeing stuff like SkinCeuticals C E Ferulic and CeraVe vitamin c serum mentioned everywhere but the price difference is wild and idk if the expensive ones are actually better. apparently these serums are supposed to help with brightness and collagen over time which is why I’m tempted to try one. If you’re using a vitamin c serum right now, which one actually made a noticeable difference for your skin? submitted by /u/hallwayLight21 to r/BeautyItemsReview [link] [comments]

Takes forever, but gets better. Trust the process.
Now vs. Then (September 2024) I've had oily, acne-prone skin with plenty of hyperpigmentation since I was a teen. But it was mostly hormonal acne, and it was never anything like that second image. That was some kind of infection that I think I got from swimming in very unclean water. At first, I spent like a month using overly harsh cleansers and actives, washing my face too often, not eating in a way that could help my body fight the infection off, not drinking NEARLY enough water for the healing I wanted to achieve, and basically just making everything even worse. Then, when I finally saw a dermatologist, I was initially given doxycyline and clindamycin, but I was NOT making the best of it. I was playing around eating a bunch of dairy still, not putting on sunscreen (and not re-applying often enough when I remembered to), and still using harsh facewash and toners because I thought they would help (spoiler: they did not). So it felt like I just kept applying and applying for like three months and not seeing any sort of improvement. I was literally living my entire life outside with one of those covid masks on every single day because I hated the thought of being seen so much, and yet I still wasn't doing the best for myself. Thankfully, I ran across a youtube video about "things you don't realize are hurting your skin" and actually listened to it properly for once, then did a bunch of research (though I still made mistakes ngl) and changed my habits. This is a list of steps I took (copied from my reply to a different post): I used a clean cotton shirt on top of my pillow case and changed it literally every night because the oil and bacteria leftover plus my hair products were just too much for my skin to fight I tried to drink at least 10 glasses of water with a day, more if I could (like I literally used alarms on my phone to remind me) I used benozyl peroxide 10% face wash every morning (\NOTE* - this was one of the mistakes! Apparently I should've been using it only at night!)* (ask your dermatologist first, sometimes there are combined benozyl peroxide+tretinoin creams you can use instead, but using them as separate products might require only using one in the morning or something, it depends) and only the cerave gentle cleanser at night I bought hydrocolloid bandages and cut them to fit specific parts of my face and used them every day, at home and under a mask when outside, sometimes even changing them two or three times a day (these are the big version of acne patches) I used sunscreen (SPF 50 PA++++, I use a Korean brand called singmulnara/식물나라) daily and reapplied regularly even tho it felt greasy and just un-fun sometimes I cut down my dairy and sugar consumption to as little as my happiness could tolerate I started taking bromelain supplements because they're anti-inflammatory I didn't use any exfoliating actives or physical exfoliation until like eight months in when my skin was a lot better I only moisturized with cerave, sometimes with a drop or two of a niacinimide and cica serum in my hand before I applied it Those are the main steps that made a HUGE change in the initial healing, and after around four months of this, my dermatologist put me onto a low dosage isotretinoin (10mg, twice a day) that did some serious heavy lifting in getting rid of the last of the acne. There were a few times long after the initial "purge" worsening period when I'd just get a huge cyst overnight seemingly, but I was able to go in for steroid injections directly into the pimple that just magicked them away within a few hours (and yes, it was absolutely mind-blowing every single time), or other times I put a tiny bit of the paula's choice benozyl peroxide gel directly onto it as soon as I noticed it forming and that usually made it go away. I just finished with the isotretinoin at the end of January. My current routine: Day: Cleanser: Cerave Gentle Cleanser Toner: ROUND LAB 1025 Dokdo Toner Serum: I rotate through these - APLB Glutathione Niacinimide, APLB AHA BHA PHA Centella, APLB Kojic Avid and Vitamin C (note: I currently live in Korea so these are more convenient, but when I go back I will be using Medicube serums if I can't get them probably) Moisturizer: Cerave Moisturizing Cream (in the tub) - I use a plastic makeup scoop instead of my hands to get a bit out and drop the serum into it Sunscreen: Singmulnara Light Watery Sun Gel (note: I will probably switch to ROUND LAB when I get back to America, I am fully convinced by Korean skincare at this point) Night: Cleanser: ROUND LAB 1025 Dokdo Cleansing Oil, then Cerave Acne Foaming Wash (10% Benozyl Peroxide) Toner: ROUND LAB 1025 Dokdo Toner >> I always do a Face Mask at night (yes every night) for 10~15 minutes, just any random one from those bulk face mask packages (like the Dermal ones) with the occasional premium one from Medicube Serum: the same ones I rotate through in the morning, as above Moisturizer: Cerave Moisturizing Cream (with serum mixed in) Random Other Things: I still drink hella water, and I still change my pillowcase frequently (and my towels, I have a separate one only for my face and I never re-use them after I shower, I'm like traumatized or something tbh). I still take the bromelain, but I'm probably gonna stop when this bottle runs out. I take collagen supplements in the morning. Sometimes I smear my whole face with a thin layer of aquaphor at night if I feel dried out for some reason. Also I keep my face masks in the fridge because the freezing cold mask after a hot shower is supposed to be good, and it does make my nose less red for a while. And I use a pimple patch the moment I see even a tiny dot of red anywhere on my face, even if it hasn't even itched yet, because why risk it??? But yeah. This is just to share progress, and to say that it does get better and you can overcome your acne, but it may take some lifestyle changes and it DEFINITELY takes a lot of consistency and actually listening to medical advice. And... A hella long time. submitted by /u/sinkintothesea to r/Blackskincare [link] [comments]

6 Years Using Tretinoin: Age 23 to Age 29
I’ve been using tretinoin for 6 years now. I started at 0.025% and worked my way up to 0.05% in the second year, which is the strength I’ve been using ever since (0.1% is hard to source in Australia, otherwise I might’ve moved up to that by now as my skin is well and truly used to the 0.05% now). I’ve never had many skin issues other than dryness and slight sensitivity; have only dealt with very light acne throughout my life, which peaked in my late teens / early 20s. I’m mostly using tretinoin for the anti-ageing benefits. I know my results aren’t dramatic. I’m trying to keep my skin healthy and elastic for as long as possible, that’s my main goal—I’m well and truly in it for the long term benefits! I wanted to share my results because, while I am happy with my skin now, I know my results aren’t night and day, as I started with already healthy skin. I was already fairly happy with my skin before tretinoin. I often see very dramatic transformations with tret before and afters, so I wanted to show my less dramatic results, for anyone else like me who wanted to start tret for the long term benefits, despite not having any major skincare concerns to solve initially. I also want to note that tretinoin is not the only thing contributing to the state of my skin, I use a few other products that I think are pretty integral to getting my skin looking how I like it to look. My skincare routine is below for anyone interested… In the morning: Splash face with water in the morning. I do this every day. Apply vitamin C serum, I use Medik8 C-Tetra Luxe (I actually ran out of this a couple months ago, haven’t repurchased yet because it’s pricey—I’ve have tried a few more affordable alternatives but haven’t really liked any of them). When I have the Medik8, I find it gentle enough for daily use, so I use it every day. Apply heavy moisturiser, I use La Roche-Posay Cicaplast Baume B5. I do this every day. Apply lots of sunscreen, I use a thick layer of Beauty of Joseon Relief Sun Rice + Probiotic SPF 50+, followed by a thick layer of a cheaper sunscreen (whatever drugstore sunscreen I have on hand, usually Cancer Council, always SPF 50+). I do this every day. Use high quality sun protective wrap-around glasses and a sun hat whilst driving during the day (my main sun exposure time is when I’m driving), I use Cancer Council Fitover Glasses and Solbari Ultra Wide Cotton Linen Hat UPF 50+ (yes I look really daggy when I’m driving). I also try to wear normal sunglasses and hats whenever I am out and about, as often as possible. During & after early evening shower: Cleanse my face with oil cleanser, I used Hada Labo Gokujyun Cleansing Oil for many years and loved it, but they stopped manufacturing it a while ago and my backup stock ran out last year. Since then I’ve been trialling different oil cleansers, my favourites so far are Softymo Deep Cleansing Oil and Bioderma Atoderm Shower Oil (the big 1L bottle that is for body, face, hands). I prefer the Bioderma formula, but it stings my eyes a bit. This is another thing I do every day. Use a gentle exfoliating powder, I use Dermalogica Daily Microfoliant. I do this most days, but occasionally skip. Use LED red light therapy mask, I use Omnilux Contour Face. I try to do this every day. Apply a tiny amount of BHA toner to spots where I struggle with prominent sebaceous filaments (middle of eyebrows, nose, chin), I use Paula’s Choice Skin Perfecting 2% BHA Liquid Exfoliant. I don’t do this every day. Apply a hydrating toner, I use Pyunkang Yul Essence Toner. I only started doing this step in the past couple weeks, and this is the first product I’m trying. I don’t think I’m going to stick this particular product, as it seems to break me out, which is a shame because I like it otherwise. I’m currently doing this a few times a week, experimenting with this new step in my routine. Apply heavy moisturiser, I use La Roche-Posay Cicaplast Baume B5. I do this every day. Before bed: Apply tretinoin, I use prescription cream 0.05%. I usually do this every day, but sometimes skip it. Apply a thick occlusive to lock in the tretinoin, I use Vaseline. I don’t do this every day. Some things to note… - My skin type is dry, sensitive, and eczema prone. - I use tretinoin around my eyes. I know lots of people warn against this due to issues with dry eye/eye irritation. I am careful about the application around my eyes, and I did a lot of experimentation and working my way up to using tret around my eyes. Please do your own research on this before you decide to do it. A lot of people have reported eye issues from doing this. - I have a couple of little breakouts on my face right now—you can see the little pimple on the left side of my forehead, and a couple of little red spots on my right cheek. This is really rare for me, I don’t really get any acne at all anymore. These popped up when I started using the Pyunkang Yul Essence Toner very recently, which I’m probably going to stop using soon after a bit more experimentation. - As mentioned above, I don’t do this whole routine every day. There are a few steps that are more occasional use. I don’t follow a strict routine with the occasional steps, but rather tailor it to my current skin needs and concerns. I will go harder on the actives when I think my skin can handle it, but will reel it in when I feel I need to focus on skin barrier care. - My most important steps/ingredients are my sunscreen, moisturiser, cleansing oil (to get the sunscreen off), and tretinoin. Those are my tried and true products that I stay the most consistent with, and are most important to me. - My skin is bare in both pictures, though I have mascara and lip tint on in the recent pic. Hope this helps anyone who is looking into starting tretinoin even if though not dealing with major skin concerns and are just looking at long term benefits, or just for anyone interested! :) submitted by /u/RandomRedditUser1337 to r/tretinoin [link] [comments]

Share your best glow-up tips to end 2025 strong!
Warning: Very long post filled with glowup tips and tricks learned over the years, from women who have it all ;) We're at the last quarter of 2025. Let's end the year strong by sharing your favorite glowup tips, whether that's emotional, physical, or mental! Here are some of mine: Hair Invest in good haircare tools - Whether that's buying a worthwhile tool (Dyson/Phillips) or a wooden comb (Hua Mulan is my favorite), your haircare tools should be quality. Never scrimp on products that could potentially damage your hair (like an off-brand hair dryer!) Know your hair porosity - I have thick, wavy hair but I'm a low porosity girl whose hair feels instantly heavy or greasy with the wrong conditioners. Most people are low porosity if they haven't undergone too many hair treatments or if walang rebond/bleach. Then you'll know which conditioners are more likely to work for you Pre-wash hair oil treatment - Add any suitable oil to your hair (for me it's Jojoba or Sunflower) at least 30 minutes before showering, rinse it off with conditioner. Less frizz and your hair will feel much smoother. Skin Hydrating Toners - For girls with dehydrated skin (different from dry skin), layering your toners (at least 2-3 thin layers) will give your skin the bounce and dewiness it desperately needs. Mochi skin can be achieved by the right toner. (For me, Hada Labo in the white bottle is a good start) Sunscreen - Never leave the house without wearing it. Yes, even on rainy or cloudy days. A lot of Japanese and PH brands have perfected facial sunscreen without the thick, heavy feeling (Belo Dewy Essence is the closest we have to light, dewy japanese sunscreen!). Lightening Dark Spots/PIH - Cos de Baha's TXN is a true life saver and has significantly improved my PIH in a month. If you suffer from dark spots, also consider hydroquinone. Pick a routine and stick with it - The best skincare routine is the one you can consistently follow. You can start with 4 (cleanser, toner, moisturizer + spf in the day), and slowly integrate serums, vitamin C, and exfoliation as you go. It just takes time and getting used to Makeup A good eyelash curler - will change everything. Know if your eye shape is more round or wide, and adjust accordingly. Not all curlers are made the same, which is why they can cause your lashes to lie flat no matter how many times you curl. Shiseido creates different curlers for different eye shapes. Know your undertone - If your makeup looks out of place, too pinkish or too orange, it's because of your undertone. Know this and you will unlock the right colors for your face. Btw, lavender and lilac blushes look great on cool tone girls, while pinkish hues can look orangey. Foundation is thinner than concealer for your face - A lot of people use concealer all over their face, but the product is really meant to cover smaller areas, hence why we use it for dark spots/circles primarily. You'll achieve a more skin-like finish with actual foundation rather than concealer. BB cream also works. Sample often - Say no to blind buys, especially for expensive makeup. As much as you can, sample in stores like Look At Me (MOA) or at Rustan's. It will save you from buying makeup you don't use. A good color corrector - is one thing every gal needs, especially if you have dark circles. Skin Food, Pixi, and NARS all have suitable correctors. You'll know it's good if you no longer need to wear concealer/very minimal concealer. Falsies - Can up your game and make your eyes that much prettier. Choose based on your eye shape. Fox lashes suit longer eyes, while Dog/Puppy lashes suit rounder eyes. Perfume Signature Scent - So chic. If people compliment you often on it, or if you feel confident in it, it's a good candidate. But also consider the hot and humid weather in the Philippines, where caramel and vanilla scents can cause headaches. Decants and samples - Buy 1mL samples instead of bottles if you're not 100% you'll like the scent - it scratches the itch to buy, too. You can get 1-2 days of wear on a sample and know if it's for you Spritz your hair - Perfume that is lightly applied to hair wafts in the air very pleasantly; if you want your scent to last, spray here. Lifestyle Be serious, but don't take things seriously - Guy ghosts you after 3 great dates? Kick him to the curb. Didn't do your best at work? Laugh it off and try again. Be serious about your goals but playful about the means. Life is too short to agonize over people and situations that aren't meant to last. Less stress = better outlook, better looks, too! Incorporate movement - Walk a little everyday and do some exercise. Dance workouts, yoga tutorials, and at home pilates - all good. You need to find something you can tolerate. The skin glow that working out gives cannot be imitated by makeup or skincare alone Tea in the morning - Met a 40 year old woman who didn't look a day over 28. Her secret is jasmine and green tea or lemon with sea salt in the morning. It could be genetics, but I do it anyway and I feel refreshed. Full of antioxidants and the good stuff. Intentional Eating - Do you really want that triple cheeseburger, or are you avoiding confronting work stress? Do you want that bag of chips, or are you just trying to move on from a failed talking stage? Eating can be emotional - and if you can handle your emotions well, you'll learn when you're using food as a cope or as something to nourish your body Say No - Boundaries are everything. You get better at this as you get older. Say no to the extra work tasks. Don't be afraid to stand your ground if someone's making you uncomfortable. The better you get at protecting your boundaries, the more confidence you get and more alignment you'll be in. These are just a few of the many things I've acquired over the years. A mouthful, I know. But tiis-ganda is real, it is a work of a lifetime. Would love to hear your tips and tricks, too. xx submitted by /u/QueasyExamination7 to r/beautytalkph [link] [comments]

Spent 30k+ On Lasers/Skincare - Here are My Hacks and Takeaways
Hi guys! *For title it should be Lasers/Skincare/Beauty Hacks *I have tan skin so lasers are a bit complicated due to risk of hyperpigmentation I.e. IPL not mentioned DISCLAIMER: PLEASE double check this with the science, before/afters, own skin and goals, and research articles. I'm not a dermatologist but a majority of my friend circle are physicians and we all do this anyhow before trying anything. I don't have time to cite articles etc and this is just MY experience SO I thought after spending so much money and buying all the overhyped products I should share what worked for me to reduce my skincare regimen and allow me to be makeup free for work. So I've been deep into skincare for a long time and I wanted to officially share it as a lot of my friends asked me to. We don't gatekeep here and I thought Reddit would be the best place. My background: I'm into digital portraits and it requires an understanding of good ratios of the face. I'm also into deep diving into skincare hacks like all of us. Here's what I think works off the top of my head. Procedures Ultraclear + Coring: forget ponytail facelifts, lip lifts, belphs, skinpinch, brow lifts, etc until you try this first. A good tech can get you the results you want. Ask to core where you want max lift. Make sure they pass with all the levels. It's painful so use your own numbing cream (I think some Russian brands are stronger available online), numb for a long time, and opt for the laughing gas or whatever. Make sure to have them use eye shields for your eyes. Have them core in the direction of the lift you want. Ask for a map of how they did it. You'll want 2-3 over a year to get the full lift you want. Nothing supersedes this procedure. For healing: 10% vinegar soaks + ointment + Benev exosomes + Alastin skin nectar. Hydroquinone to prevent spots from forming. Moxi Level 3: It works REALLY well but it's a baby compared to Ultraclear. Make sure to try level 3 for maximum lift. You can do a series of 3 if you're not ready for Ultraclear. Fontana 4D: It also works REALLY well and can contour your cheeks skin the buccal fat removal. Moxi Level3/Fontana 4D def made me hot again after 20lb weight loss causing signs of aging before my wedding. Again do a series of 3 for max results. Ultraclear did the most though, I would do all 3 until I die or go broke. BBL Laser: It works and makes you look like you have foundation on (and gets rid of under eye darkness) but because of techs fears of hyperpigmentation (a real fear) it's hard to find someone to do it. PRF/EZGEL: My under eyes looked better but also the swelling stretched out the skin so it also looks worse? Not worth it. PRF or PRP is useless, the gel is the only thing worth trying. Laser Hair Removal: Make sure they are using the newest machine that is practically painless, find a center that does a full body membership it's cheaper, you'll need 8-12 sessions. The painless one is worth it just get it done all over at Morpheus: painful and melts fat stay away. I did it 3 times, it got rid of my beautiful under eye fat pads, it slimmed my buccal fat, and it got rid of some acne though. It's not worth it due to pain and fat melting and lack of skin tightness effects it so claims. Katalyst EMS Suit >> Emsculpt: They cost the same and both work but you can keep Katalyst for life. Just use settings on abs/butt and get up to level 400, you can thank me later! I had Emsculpt 5X on butt and AB's, it works temporary, now we own. 2 Katalyst suits and they make sure fit whenever we want and honestly just as fast. Emsella: Amazing for sex drive and preventing or helping with prolapse issues! Also works for urinary issues post kids :). Do 6 sessions for prevention and amazing sex. Coolsculpt: Bullshit. Can burn skin btw. HIFU: Melts fat. But it works:) so use in the right areas. J Plasma: feels like lightening bolts attacking skin and limited outcome, stay away. PDO Threads: Forget it, painful, invasive, temporary. Omnilux Redlight Mask: Get the MENS version. It works. Jovs: it breaks apparently l but I'm gonna try it and update yall later. Also curious about Amiro devices given what they say they do/tech they use. ZIIP Halo + Silver Gel >Nuface: It works better than all the other main home microcurrent devices I've tried (nuface, medicube, 2 others on amazon) get the silver serum as daily easy skincare. Forget the other ones. Things on my list: Sofwave, Emface (per reviews sounds useless?), Syllifirm, Profound, comment and lmk I'll try it if it sounds safe and effective. Injections: Botox: Prevent wrinkles (but tbh this is BS until you have a baby line forming), get rid of wrinkles, shrinks muscle. What I've liked: TMJ/Jaw Slimming (30-50U per side), TRAP TOX (amazing and makes your neck longer), LIP FLIP, NOSE TIP, BROW LIFT (only do the tail of the brow not the whole brow) and PLATYSMA (prevents face sagging and actually works, prob the most underrated and important area for Botox!). Filler: Deep Lasers ("lift" = volume) >> Sculptra (natural body makes volume) >> Slow Down on Fillers >> Injector >> Price/Injectable. Fly to the right person LA, Miami, or New York. Make sure the area they inject, they do often. Treat multiple areas BUT WITH 1/3 THE ACTUAL DOSE you want and go again twice. This prevents the botched look. Dissolve overfilled lips, it hurts, but it's worth it. ALA/Glutathione/Vit C: Shrinks pores and evens out skin tone. Make sure to add ALA for max pore shrinking. It also helps regulate sugar. You can also opt for liposomal. Go to a reputable IV center and make sure to have labs to get ALA. Peels/SkinCare: 30%+ Glycolic Acid On Body - Fast way to clear scars and evens out skin tone. Start low and increase slowly to prevent a burn. TCA Peel - Amazing for anti-aging tbh. But go to a spa and have them do it (face or full body) because it's more serious. Musely Spot Cream - Amazing stuff if you're lazy like me and don't like to do 100 things. Combines all the stuff you want for face skincare. Apostrophe Triple Cream for Rosacea - Top 3 ingredients that work for rosacea in 1 bottle. Also look into low dose naltrexone. Also moxi or ultraclear helps. Benev Exosomes + Microneedling: Use for scars and face/body with a home microneedling pen (max the number of needles Dr Pen is good). Calecium Exosomes + Microneedling: A godsend for hair growth. Retinol Gel .1% + Stack With Hydration: get it prescribed. Level up to max %, look up how to layer with coconut oil/moisturizers/Benev to prevent the ugly phase (breakouts, dry skin). Don't need if have Musely spot cream or alternate days. Clindamycin/Benzyl Peroxide Compound Cream: Get it prescribed and store it fridge now. It's the only thing that reliably clears up my acne overnight (I've tried dozens of acne products over 16 years). Alastin Skin Nectar: My main moisturizer post laser. * Wanted to add for Daily I use Prakti Maha mask because it works like under eye filler almost when you stack it on and gets rid of my acne without extra stuff about 60-70% of the time. I combine with Clarins double serum or snail stuff just depends. Also considering plated exosomes. Ourself Lip Plumping: If you don't want lip filler or just want to maximize lip size try this brand it's from the makers of one of the actual fillers and it works. Minoxidil>Grandelash>Latisse: Latisse darks eyelids /under eyes and lose eye fat so stay away!! It's so hard to get that fat back!! Use castor oil for eyelash durability and oral minoxidil for eyelash growth. Pills: Oral Minoxidil: Max your eyelashes and hair volume Low Dose Accutane: Freeze eggs before doing this. Derm will prescribe for chronic acne especially if on back etc. It will also help reduce size of tip of nose if issues with rosacea or thick skin. Gets rid of acne but horrible side effects even at a low dose. Spirinolactone: NOT FOR ME - will give me headache, dehydration, makes me dumb because I'm so dehydrated, worse breakout for months, also just not worth taking this pill. It may work for others? Eyes: Lumify (duh) Hair: Nanoplastia > Keratin Straightening > KBond20 > Olaplex > Dyson Teeth: SMILE Whitening (in office dental procedure) INSANE will get you white instantly Request for double frequency teeth cleanings Purple Toothpaste = Safe Alternative to Home Teeth Whitening that works better Boka Nanohhydroxy Toothpaste (so you don't loose enamel) Toothbrush with Water Flosser Combined (another lazy girl hack) Therabreath (contains xylitol known to prevent cavities) Mind Hacks: TDCS headband :) works for insomnia, works for mood I'll copy past all my comments into above later I use Elemind headband + Calm Sleep Powder for sleep after having sleep issues - (don't want to take meds, Benadryl is very bad for long term health and linked to increased dementia risk) Multivitamin: Make sure it has 5 methylfolate not "folic" acid. Try pure encapsulations or if you want to eat food-source multi try TEND prenatal bar chocolate flavor. Vit D: Try to get level to 60-90 it's suppose to help with a lot of things including depression!! Alzheimer prevention! Even used by oncologists to decrese cancer risk!! I take 50k unit every week and recheck my level after a month to make sure it's atleast 80. I used to have depression. Astaxanthin: 2000x more potent antioxidant than Vit C. It can give you an orangish glow if you overuse or if you're aiming for that! I used to use Vit c and other antioxidants. Omega 3/DHA (fish derived not algae!): Take it or eat fish it's good for you. DHA 1000mg I've been using for 10 years and it makes me smarter and remember more for exams etc. Silica Drops + Collagen 10G Daily w Hylaronic Acid + 100G Protein Daily > Nutrafol > Biotin/Hair Nail Vitamins: yes the standard female nutrafol works, I prefer Minodixil it's faster and better for me and less big pills lol. 1G Water A Day - Eat good food, drink water. Take collagen, eat protein 100G daily, fat 50G daily. Otherwise this is useless. ADD POTASSIUM (prime powder packets) to SLIM FACE SWELLING. Add gua sha or lymph suction drainage also to help. Sauna/Ice Water on Face also works. Low Fat is a FAD - Hit 50G fat a day - obv is you need to optimize weight lower calories and cut inflammatory food like most non vegetable carbs. You can take a food allergy test also and optimize. For example no tomato skins, no onions for us. Exercise (weights good for bones: BUT for brain benefits it's only with aerobic workouts!): increased bdnf and prevents depression also improved blood flow from skin - look into the research and thank me later - you need to burn 1200cal a week to hit this Dairy Does Cause Breakouts - cut it out and see if there's a change for acne Colustrum: ARMRA works better than others but they all work. It's good for gut health aka good for skin. Seed Probiotic: the best strains here. Rosacea/Autoimmune Skin Stuff: Look into low dose naltrexone and astaxanthin. Autoimmune issues cause the face to look puffy! PCOS/Hunger Cravings: Inositol 6G powder or gummy inositol/myoinositol Vitamin: Tend Prenatal Bar (hate daily pills) Gummy CoQ10 200mg Tru Niagen NAD+ (gives me energy) OM matcha mushroom powder (this flavor specifically has a blend that makes me happy/laughing next day, I use when stressed) Silica Drops (makes my hair shiny, nails stronger within weeks) Zinc Picolinate 30mg (if sick or acne) Fisetin (or Qualia monthly) gets rid of dead cells I just feel good when I take it Vital Protein Collagen/Hylaronic Acid Dessicated Beef Liver or Shilajit (micronutrients) Multivitamin: Pure Encapsulations ONE I don't take pills daily except multivitamin or depending on my aim. But these are what work for me and what I've read that makes sense and I've tried without side effects and some benefit x Inpsitol is a miracle that everyone should know about it'll legit make you less anxious too Deodorant: Chlorella Liquid (removes body odor) > Native > Certaindri. want to try the weekly devices out there that actually stop sweating but weighing risks. Native covers me all day smelling good and I used to sweat through EVERYTHING. Nails: basic - sally hansen hard as nails clear (drop 3-4 magenta drops of any brand in for a natural pink nail look) - silica drops make nails tough af - only do RUSSIAN manicures they are magic thank me later SUN: the sun is your enemy for skincare, it's time to be aware of this all the time! Legally UV tint the max of your front car window (there's a way to uv protect without darkening so it's legal). Always wear long sleeves or a hat. Cover face with hand when walking and unprotected. I use supergoop clear sun stick because I'm lazy and it's a stick and doesn't have white caste. I'm sure there's better ones but this is the best clear stick I found. The powder makeup ones are BS and don't actually protect you. A HAT + Long Sleeves >> Weight Loss: I have a chubby face if my BMI is above 19 genetically. Find the BMI you need for optimizing your face. I drink all my water before eating. I drink black decaf with monk fruit (stevia is not as safe, Splenda is bad news) instead of lattes. I put all my food on a salad instead of rice. I don't eat grain carbs because it makes me bloated. I eat spinach daily because it has highest potassium (reduces face bloating). I try to have have less than 1.5G salt daily. I also make sure there is IODINE in my salt for my thyroid (pink salt is causing iodine deficiencies and thus thyroid issues!). No dairy because it gives me acne (try cashew milk 25 cal). I hit 100G protein via NATURAL NO POWDER sources. Then I sleep by getting my fat intake (50g) and veggies cooked with seasoning I like or whatever I want to eat (kind of a baby Intermittant fast but more lax). If I'm craving sweets I eat frozen fruit and add fake honey (monk fruit sweetened avail sprouts). If you made it this far, the most important thing is to be at a healthy weight, eat right, drink water, no alcohol (I've heard from friends: Passion flower extract "anxiety" > IV NAD (addiction)), no smoking(I've heard from friends: Chantix > Wellbutrin> Nicotine Patch > Tapering Nicotine Vape ), no all nighters (if insomnia look above TDCS headband elemind > Calm Sleep Powder > Sublingual Melatonin). This is all I could think of but I've tried a lot feel free to DM me. I've also deep dived into fertility and dementia stuff for friends/family! If you want reccs DM! You can fact check me but I research this stuff just like we all do so you'll find out or realize this is likely the consensus. submitted by /u/Mindmaster04129 to r/30PlusSkinCare [link] [comments]

The Best & Worst Skincare Products (review)
Hi everyone! I posted this on another sub not too long ago and because of the positive reaction I wanted to share it with you all. Hope you like it. Little bit about me/my skin: Im 25F and I have sensitive, acne prone, combination skin. My skin is especially sensitive to fragrance, citrus and floral essential oils. Because of this I’ve become a bit of a skincare nerd and an obsessive ingredients list reader. I definitely still have a lot to learn about skincare but I hope this list helps some of you! Especially my fellow sensitive skin skincare addicts. I tried to keep the reviews very short and straight forward, but if you want me to expand on any products let me know! 1. La Roche-Posay Toleriane Double Repair Face Moisturizer 30 SPF - 3/10 Pros: Fragrance free and very moisturizing. Cons: Broke me out and burned my eyes Best for: dry skin. 2. Glossier Milky Jelly Cleanser - 0/10 Pros: literally nothing. Cons: I don’t like the smell, it broke me out, didn’t remove my makeup well. 3. Drunk Elephant Beste No. 9 Jelly Cleanser - 6/10 Pros: Clean ingredients list. Cons: Stripping/drying and expensive. For who? Oily skin or those that like to feel squeaky clean. 4. La Roche-Posay Anthelios Sunscreen 60 SPF (American) - 3/10 Pros: Doesn’t leave a white cast. Cons: Greasy, broke me out, stung my eyes. Bottom Line: Stick to the European version. 5. La Roche-Posay Anthelios Sunscreen 50+ SPF (European) - 9/10 Pros: Doesn’t leave a white cast, reasonably priced. Cons: texture is a little too runny for my liking. Bonus: LRP donates to skin cancer research. 6. Jordan Samuel Hydrate Facial Serum - 0/10 Pros: Couldn’t try long enough to say. Cons: Gave me a bright red burning skin reaction. Bottom Line: Looks like they changed their formula (for good reason obvi) so I can’t speak for the new version. For who? Those who want an excuse to cancel dinner plans. 7. Mario Badescu Rose Facial Spray - 0/10 Pros: Cheap. Cons: Mist comes out too strong, I don’t like the smell, contains fragrance, citronellol, geraniol and colorants. Bottom Line: Thank goodness it was a gift, because I won’t be buying. 8. The Ordinary Squalane Cleanser - 5/10 Pros: Unscented, affordable. Cons: Made my skin itch and left a residue. Bottom Line: I won’t repurchase. 9. A313 Vitamin A Pommade - 10/10 Pros: My pimples reduced, skin texture improved (after two weeks). Thick vasaline texture that locks in the vitamin A. Cons: Slight metallic smell Bottom Line: Worth the hype! I use 2x a week max, alternating with a salicylic acid oil. 10. Youth to the People Superberry Dream Cleansing Balm - 3/10 Pros: Great ingredient list, interesting extracts. Cons: Smells like waxy crayons, crumbly texture that doesn’t melt well into the skin, left a waxy feeling behind. Bottom Line: I’ve tried better. 11. Tata Harper Water-Lock Moisturizer - 2/10 Pros: I liked her organic Vermont farm story and the light gel cream texture. Cons: strong fragrance, contains skin irritants like Alcohol, limonene, citral, citronellol, linalool and orange peel extract. Bottom Line: Don’t use if you have sensitive skin. There is a sunburn warning on the side of the box because it contains AHAs. 12. Saturday Skin Carrot + Niacinamide Moisturizing Cream - 6/10 Pros: Hydrating thick gel cream. Cons: Smells so strong of silicone. Bottom Line: Bought it in Europe, loved it. Bought it in the US, smelled like straight up silicone. Different formula maybe? 13. Glossier Future Dew - 0/10 Pros: Cute packaging. Cons: Made me look like a greasy pizza, broke me out and don’t like the smell. 14. Versed Sunday Morning Antioxidant Oil-Serum – 1/10 Pros: inexpensive. Cons: Does nothing. The biphase ends up looking gross and muddled after a while. 15. Murmure Bisou Clarifying Dry Oil – 10/10 Pros: Cleared my blackheads, sinks into the skin fast. Cons: Contains hazelnut oil so be careful if you have an allergy! Bottom Line: I use it about 2x a week at night (not on the same day as my retinol). My skin is always less red and bumpy in the AM. 16. Typology Glycolic Acid 10% - 3/10 Pros: Affordable (Typology is like the French version of the Ordinary). Cons: Broke me out, 10% glycolic acid is too strong for my skin. 17. Nuxe Huile Prodigieuse Multi-Purpose Dry Oil – 9/10 Pros: Nice dry oil that soaks in quickly, love the smell (I only use this on my body so the fragrance doesn’t bother me). Cons: Wish it had a dropper or pump to make application less messy. Bottom Line: I put this all over my body after my shower and my skin feels baby soft. 18. Innisfree Daily UV Defense Sunscreen 36 SPF – 5/10 Pros: Good value for money. Cons: Broke me out, a little too oily. Bottom Line: They have changed the formula since I tried it so I cant speak for the new formulation. 19. La Roche-Posay Cicaplast Baume B5+ - 7/10 Pros: Super soothing and healing. Cons: clogged my pores (avoid if you have acne or milia prone skin). Bottom Line: I would buy again for my eyelid dermatitis that I get every winter For who? Dry, irritated skin. 20. SkinCeuticals CE Ferulic Serum - 8/10 Pros: Brightened and evened my skin tone. Cons: So expensive it hurts! Oxidized at around the 4 month mark. Smells slightly unpleasant. Bottom Line: One of the most effective formulas for vitamin c that Ive tried. Keep it away from light and to close the bottle tightly so it doesn’t oxidize as quickly. 21. Glow Recipe Watermelon Glow Ultra-fine Mist – 1/10 Pros: Cute packaging. Cons: Broke me out, overpowering candy fragrance, didn’t hydrate. 22. Pillow Talk Derm Major Fade Flash Mask – 0/10 Pros: I can’t speak to the effectiveness of the product because my skin couldn’t handle it. Cons: Instantly burned my face into a red mess. Bottom Line: 15% glycolic acid was too much for my skin. Make sure to always patch test new products. 23. The Outset Nourishing Squalane Daily Moisturizer – 7/10 Pros: Clean ingredients list, nice light texture. Cons: Not hydrating enough for my skin. Bottom Line: If you have sensitive skin and like a lightweight moisturizer it might be worth a try. 24. Aquaphor Healing Ointment Advanced Therapy – 10/10 Pros: Heals, hydrates/seals in moisture. Cons: Packaging is kinda ugly. Bottom Line: Cult classic for good reason. I’m team Aquaphor over vasaline every day. 25. Skinfix Triple Lipid-Peptide Cream – 10/10 Pros: Super hydrating and nourishing. Nice cream gel texture. Cons: none. Bottom Line: My sensitive skin loves this moisturizer. Even though I have acne prone skin I still prefer their normal triple lipid over their gel version. 26. Saturday Skin Yuzu Vitamin C Sleep Mask – 4/10 Pros: slightly brightening. Cons: Strong smell, contains citrus oils, feels quite sticky. 27. Youth to the People Superfood Air-Whip Moisture Cream – 3/10 Pros: nice light airy texture. Cons: Has fragrance and limonene. Didn’t do much. Bottom Line: Last time I was at sephora I did notice that the cream is no longer a light green color, so I think they changed the formula. 28. Caudalie Beauty Elixir Face Mist – 0/10 Pros: None. Cons: Doesn’t smell great, does nothing, has alcohol, fragrance, rosemary oil, citral, linalool, citronellol…). Bottom Line: Outdated product imo. 29. Supergoop Unseen Sunscreen 40 SPF – 5/10 Pros: Doesn’t leave a white cast. Cons: Expensive and broke me out. Best & Worst Skincare Products I’ve tried [review]
9. A313 Vitamin A Pommade - 10/10 Pros: My acne reduced, skin texture improved (after two weeks). [Product Question] Is my Vitamin C serum moldy?
I ordered a Vitamin C serum on Amazon, and it arrived today. Immediately upon opening I was greeted with these weird brown blobs on the pipette. Is this mold? Oxidation? Is it safe to use on my skin? I added the product page on Amazon in case that helps. submitted by /u/belgianvavvle28 to r/SkincareAddiction [link] [comments]

HOLY GRAIL VITAMIC C Serum!!
(Mini review) I’ve tried many vitamin c serum, but always felt like it didn’t suit me, either gave me comedones or made my skin oily. A friend of mine suggested me Clinique fresh pressed 7 day system with pure Vitamin C. I was initially hesitant on trying this product as it is expensive and for 7 days only. But she insisted me hard enough to give it a go. First time i purchased was last year. I used it and saw Dramatic difference in my skin texture, glow and hyperpigmentation. The fresh powder gets activated with water and should be left for 1-2 min to let it do its thing, then after washing it away, the serum should be applied (which oxidises in a week or week and a half after activating it by pressing down from the bottom). It didn’t give me comedones, made my skin supple and soft, I literally looked like a Light emitting diode, my face was shining and glowing like i came back from the best dermatologist visit of my life. Since the first use, I’ve purchased it 3 times, now i use it every 4 months, thrice a year. I gave it to my mom as well who has melasma and sun spots, it worked for that as well. She loved it. I usually use it a week before any major event. It is the best and fastest working vitamin c I’ve tried. submitted by /u/whitegamora to r/IndianSkincareAddicts [link] [comments]

Does an effective, non-sticky, affordable Vitamin C serum exists? Vitamin C alternatives?
Hello! Incorporating Vitamin C to your skin care routine seems to offer a lot of benefits but it seems like it's quite hard to find a good, stable and affordable Vitamin C serum, not to mention that most formulas seem to be quite difficult to absorb into the skin, making them difficult to use in the morning when you will be getting most of its antioxidant effect. I know that a lot of people swear by the Melano CC anti-spot essence, but I personally found it too oily for the whole face ( I'm loving the Melano CC brightening gel but is not strong enough to fade stubborn hyperpigmentation completely), so I wanted to hear what are everyone's favorites and recommendations. Or, if there's another active ingredient/serum with the same benefits as vitamin c I would like to hear about it as well!. submitted by /u/MeruDora to r/AsianBeauty [link] [comments]
