I (28M) was playing volleyball with my gf (26F). I was a sub for a team with some of her people from work. The game was over and I went to get the ball on the opposite side of the net from her. Her friends and her were standing there discussing playing again I assume I kind of just threw the ball up over the net, and I ended up hitting her in the side of the head. Her friends kind of laughed and I didn’t do it intentionally but I felt bad and walked over to absolutely apologize as it wasn’t my intent. The throw was literally me on the other side of the net by like 5 feet so it wasn’t a Hail Mary or anything with force. I definitely wouldn’t ever intentionally try to hurt her or anything ever ever ever. So as soon as I got to her I literally only got the words I did not mean to… and she literally bitch slapped me on the side of the face extremely hard in front of everyone. There’s 3 volleyball courts, tons of people watching. I said you seriously slapped me? She said well that hurt when you hit me in the head. The embarrassment I feel and the shock that I didn’t even believe it. Everyone saw, her coworkers, people watching, just was crazy she winded all the way back and literally bitch slapped me extremely hard. I walked off the court grabbed my shoes put them on didn’t say a word went to her house grabbed my dog as he was there today while I was at work and now I’m sitting in my house. This was hours ago. Haven’t heard from her not a text, not a call, nothing. We’ve been dating for almost 8months…. Not even sure what to say or do. Update: she text me wanted me to come over for dinner so we could discuss. She said pretty much everything under the sun. All I did was listen. I then told her I’ve never had violence in my relationship and I do not plan to start that now. This is not something I’m going to do anymore. That’s why they’re so confused when people complain about the rare rat. So many people parrot the “all lobbies are mixed” narrative. I guarantee you I have been in 30 straight lobbies where nobody shot each other. I haven’t shot anyone in months, hundreds of raids. It is extremely rare that I come across someone who shoots at me. Maybe 3 out of 50 to 100 games. The thing is, if you aren’t like me, then you wouldn’t know that. You’re either speaking out of your ass, or speaking from your own experience where PvP is a normal part of the game and there is nothing wrong with it *in those lobbies.* That’s why a lot of these PvP players are so confused about why we think we can play the game and not get shot by other raiders. That’s why they’re so confused about why we think it is better to take shots and die rather than shoot back. It is clearly a better investment to lose one loadout and have the next 50 games free to do what I want. So, yeah, in any random raid, I can technically be in a mixed lobby, I guess, but it does not happen often. I think most of the times I have been shot at were by newbies or people who gamed the ABMM, simply because it is so rare. It may also have something to do with the fact that I pretty much only play during peak hours, so I am usually able to get matched with friendlies. By the way, I know pvp is obviously allowed and is a part of the game for many people but not for me and many people. They just dont understand that its possible to play the game and not pvp 97% of the time. TLDR: PVP is a very very very small part of the game that I play. Hey everyone! I've been looking recently for some volleyball nets for doubles on sand or grass, but I can't seem to find anything specifically for what I need. The main issue I'm running into is that the nets are just too big. I'm only seeing 39ft by some height, but that is far too large for doubles volleyball. I've checked Amazon, Park, and Sun, and I can't really find anything that fits my needs. I was hoping the great people of Reddit could help me find what I need. And by "best" I don't mean "for a certain price point," I'm speaking as if price is no object. What's going to get the closest experience to an in-ground system? The best I've found so far is VolleyballUSA's M4L net and associated poles; they use 6 guy wires rather than the typical 4 and the structure lines of the net are kevlar. The sand plates are an added accessory. Anyone seen anything higher quality?
