It’s website but it only accesses local resources once its loaded, is what they mean. So basically you could run it offline if you wanted to but due to the poor design it loads some resources at runtime which would make it break if you tried.

An issue I faced with AI website builders was that the design was very generic. I'm curious what AI builders are you guys using - and why are you using it? My goal is great design and I found that Wix is doing a good first draft but I couldn't edit it easily with AI. I also tried a relatively newer tool LandingHero AI which gives a few design options and I can choose one instead of letting AI pick something random, which I really like. Then I also heard about Durable, but I have not gotten the design results I wanted. What are your suggestions? Edit: I tried a few mentioned and I think landinghero.ai option is the right one for me for two reasons - it gives me design options to choose from instead of me having to design prompt and the results are pretty good compared to lovable, ai studio, stitch. I've been noticing this for a while but seriously every website I see uses either the hero section with text left image right or centered content with big headline and cta buttons or the three column benefits section and that's basically it like where did creativity go in website design or am I just looking at the wrong sites Im not trying to be negative but like when I browse thru different company sites they all feel like templates with different colors and copy, even the spacing and typography choices are weirdly similar between totally unrelated industries which makes me think everyone's either using the same framework or just copying what works without questioning if there's better approaches. I've been doing web design for small businesses for years and I thought it might be useful to share something because I keep seeing the same mistake over and over. Business owners spend thousands making their site look "professional" then wonder why nobody's calling. The problem is you're designing for other business owners, not your actual customers. Here's what I see constantly: Giant hero image with some stock photo of people way too happy about a laptop. Tagline like "Your Trusted Partner in Excellence" that tells me absolutely nothing. I have to scroll three times to figure out if you're a plumber or a marketing agency. Or fancy parallax effects and auto playing videos that look cool for 5 seconds until you realize the page takes forever to load on mobile. Your bounce rate is probably 80% and you can't figure out why. The real problem I see is you're asking "does this look professional?" instead of "will this help someone become my customer?" What actually works is someone lands on your homepage and knows in 3 seconds what you do and why they should care. Not clever wordplay, just straight up "We fix commercial HVAC in the GTA and show up within 2 hours." Your call to action button should be so obvious. Big, bright, impossible to miss. Not buried after your company manifesto. Try this: show your homepage to someone for 5 seconds. Ask them what you do and what they should do next. If they can't answer both, your design is in the way. A simple site that converts is worth infinitely more than a gorgeous site where the phone never rings. Why YSK: This generic automatic self-cleaning litter box contains a fatal flaw that has killed multiple cats. Despite this, no recall has been issued and it continues to be sold under a number of different brands (or no brand at all) at many popular retailers. There are many different variations, here's an image of some of them: https://i.imgur.com/1veTEQY.jpeg The basic mechanical function of the litter box is a ball inside an enclosure that vertically spins upwards to clean itself. When it spins, cats have been caught in the entryway, killing them. The sensors don't appear to function correctly without a firmware update (which owners have not been notified to apply), so the ball continues to rotate upwards even if there's an obstruction. And even if the firmware update has been applied, the design of this generic litter box is still inherently dangerous. If the sensors fail for any reason, even after applying the firmware update, it still poses a danger to any cats using it. There's no single brand that this litter box is sold under. If you're researching an automatic litter box, ensure it doesn't look like any of the products in the linked image. Also, make sure that it doesn't mechanically function as I described, particularly with an entryway that closes. Video: One Man Five Cats on YouTube has an excellent video on this litter box, including tests on an actual unit he purchased from AliExpress. Warning: The video contains disturbing imagery, such as a picture of the litter box covered in blood and a picture of a cat having trouble breathing because she got her head stuck in the litter box. Despite the graphic content, I still highly recommend anyone considering buying an automatic self-cleaning litter box watch the video so you know what products to avoid. This is a pinch point, and in this specific litter box, it's where cats can get stuck and killed. When researching any automatic self-cleaning litter box, imagine a scenario where all sensors on the unit fail and it starts to clean while a cat is using it. Can the cat exit without being harmed? Are there any harmful pinch points or other areas that can cause harm, such as the cleaning mechanism inside? Answer these questions first before purchasing and test it in-person, if possible. Buy from a name brand with a reputation to uphold. The random brands that appear on sites like Amazon can be reported and have their product listings removed, but they can quickly relist the same product under a completely different brand, even using a whole new legal entity if they need to. List of dangerous brands: These are some brands that I've found selling this generic litter box just on Amazon alone, but remember that this list is absolutely not comprehensive and will likely be out-of-date in the future because, even if these listings get taken down, it's trivial to simply relist the same product under a different brand. Also, remember that this dangerous product is currently being sold at other retailers, such as Wayfair, AliExpress, and Temu. The One Man Five Cats YouTube video investigates a brand on Amazon called Amztoy, which actually paid off a customer whose cat was killed so that she would remove her review from the product listing. Love this sub so thought I’d post a story from about 12 years ago: At university, I designed websites to make some extra cash and pay for tuition / rent etc. I got pretty good at it, and had a great network of clients around London (UK). One day, I was introduced to a lady (we’ll call her Debbie) who ran an “interior design” agency in West London. I put the speech marks there because all of her clients were her friends, or friends of her husband. She was extremely wealthy, lived in a house on one of the most expensive streets in London, and had a chauffeur on call. All of her money derived from her husband, who seemed very sketchy. She also had these two sons who just sat around the house all day smoking weed despite being in their late 20s. Anyway, I designed a website for her which she was very pleased with. Her exact brief was: “I want this website to show the best interior design service in London”. I quoted the price, she agreed and I built it, but then when it came time to pay she suddenly started complaining that the website wasn’t quite right (despite being live and generating lots more traffic than before). She refused to pay, and stopped answering my calls. What she didn’t realise was that I owned the domain name and could legally do whatever I wanted with it. So I redirected it to her closest competitor, a nearby interior design agency run by a rival of hers she hated. Within 6 hours I got a phone call from her going ballistic that her website was “broken” and that it had to be fixed ASAP. I explained that I couldn’t really do anything, but vaguely suggested that if she stumped up some cash then maybe I could do something. I won’t repeat the names she called me - but the next morning my account was credited with the money. I never bothered to change the domain back, and blocked her number after that.
