RE:Is it worth to subscribe to Spotify or Apple Music?
Actually yt seems more worth now. Kns the Spotify pay so much keep increase price yet some music still not available. And the app can be laggy at times. But used to it and on family plan so just stick to it. If new users I think just choose yt premium sua.

Besides the YT/YT Music, what do you think is the most essential patch and why?
I currently have YouTube, YouTube Music, Twitter and Reddit patched and was looking to expand my list of patches. Wondering if anyone has any suggestions and why they would suggest to use the patched version of that app. submitted by /u/Apprehensive-Emu8404 to r/MorpheApp [link] [comments]

I made a free and open source YT Music Windows & MacOS Client because Google didnt! It has different Tabs each with their own history, queue and playing song!
I tried my best to make this a genuinely good, fast & well optimized client. Everything, like playlists and lyrics are cached, there are shortcuts to quickly save songs / open new tabs with different music playing. This is not just another YouTube Music browser wrapper! Has: Lyrics - Synced!! The official browser app doesnt even have that Music Tabs - You can create multiple tabs all with their own history & queue! Account support - you can sign into YT Music and your playlists, albums etc will be synced. Also adding stuff to a playlist adds it to the actual online playlist! Caching - Most stuff like playlists / lyrics will be cached so that you can switch through your playlists almost instantly Also you can press control + s to save a song to a playlist with a nice handy menu (: https://github.com/2latemc/JustAnotherMusicClient submitted by /u/2latemc to r/YoutubeMusic [link] [comments]

Best alternatives to YT music?
I'm considering taking down my YT premium subscription, I was pleased until now with YT music and have been using it a lot. But yesterday while I was doing the garden with random radio mode, it put me a AI generated song. I haven't noticed it was AI, I just noticed a specific 6 seconds of the song that were FIRE. And since I was busy doing my chores haven't paid attention to the rest of the song. So I liked the song and save it for later. Later I listened the full song and was GARBAGE. Bad tempo, weird durations, a nonsense of merged changes with no bridge or transitions, boring ending. The 6 seconds that called my attention were the only good part while the rest can only be described as noise. Then I realized it was some AI generated shit and guess it makes sense, those 6 seconds might be ripped from an actual good song. But now my account is doomed, because even if I disliked later this song and every freaking song from this user that radio keeps adding to my playlist, YT music nonstop adding more songs from this user and now also other artist that post AI garbage. And why the F there's no option to block an user that you know it's a bot so it doesn't show more songs from it? Seriously Google forgot to add something so basic!? It's incredible how a platform that I was enjoying became the worst by the press of a button. And I just want to listen music on the background while I work, not having to fight the platform every 20 minutes because of this. I really need a new music platform, any recommendations? submitted by /u/Trouble_float to r/MusicRecommendations [link] [comments]

Can I force YouTube Music to play normal version of songs instead of audio from music videos inside albums?
When you look up an album and listen to it some songs in the tracklist are audios from music videos or sometimes from some random yt video (not even official by the artist), instead of the normal official audio from the songs, which ARE available in the app but you have to look them up manually Is there some way to force YouTube Music to play the normal album version of songs instead of some random bs? I don't wanna have to create a playlist that has the right songs for every album I listen to... (I already have video version disabled but literally all that does is not play the music video... the audio is still from the music video) is there some feature I can enable or another patched YouTube music app that does this? not necessarily yt music even, I'll gladly take any streaming app... Here's some examples from just the few hours I have tried using this 1: Return of the rat inside the album plays a DRUM COVER (? ? ?). if I wanna listen to the album I have to first search for the normal version of this song WHICH DOES EXIST ON THE APP (3rd pic) and then go back to the album 2: master of reality first song is from some video of a guy putting the vinyl and spinning it first for a good 10 seconds, and only then the song plays. Cool and all but I just want the normal song 3: Daydream nation first song plays the 4 minute radio cut of the song from an YouTube video from 13 years ago. audio quality is as terrible as you'd expected given that. The normal 6 minute song is available, outside of the album (I assume this is the case for every song that has a music video. Which very often are shaved off versions or from 2 decades ago and have terrible audio. or like a minute of interlude before the song starts. idk who at Google thought forcing you to listen to worse versions of songs when you put on an album instead of just playing the album normally was a good "feature") submitted by /u/V0rdep to r/MorpheApp [link] [comments]

So i wanted to switch to YT Music and i am disappointed af
I'm actually a bit of a Google fanboy, and I find mmany services extremely useful. I've been a YouTube Premium customer for years, and a few weeks ago I came up with the obvious idea of canceling my Spotify subscription to use YT Music. Fortunately, YT Music offered to import my playlists from Spotify, so I gave it a try. I've been testing YT Music for three weeks now, and this is the first time I've been disappointed with a Google Service. YT Music feels like a waste product that was created by chance a few years ago and is no longer being maintained. There are so many things that bother me. It seems like sheer mockery that people are debating whether the play button should be placed on the left or right, when there are completely different areas for improvement. Searching for songs (which, IMHO, is the most important part of such a service) is quite inconvenient. Because YT Music is essentially just a wrapper for YouTube, I find hundreds of different versions when I type in a song. I then find the clean song somewhere among a downpitched version, a vocal extracted version, an acapella version, a 128kbit upload, and a remix by HeadbangerFreak2000. I'd like to have the most relevant result first. Managing playlists is a pain. If I want to add a song to a specific playlist (I have hundreds!), I have to search the entire list for the right playlist manually. There's no search function, and the "paylist list" itself is seemingly randomly sorted. Once I've found the playlist and click to "add", the UI takes what feels like hours until the "Successfully added" toast message appears. In short: It takes me forever to add a song to the playlist. Spotify has hit a USP for me with the "Jam" feature. I'm often in the car with several people, all of whom would like to contribute their music requests. YouTube simply doesn't offer this feature. The playlists I create in YT Music also appear on YouTube. I don't want to see my 100+ playlists on YouTube because it's so confusing. Why not a strict separation between "Music" and "Videos"? I can only add a song to one playlist at a time, but not to several at once. Might be a minor feature, but quite important to me. The suggestions based on a playlist are usually useless for me. For example, I have a bunch of "modern" songs in one playlist, and YT Music suggests songs that are 20 years old. In another playlist (DnB), trance songs are suggested. Why is "Samples" promoted so prominently in the YT Music app? I want to listen to music, not see TikTok shorts. The function to search for a song in a playlist is completely missing. Especially with large playlists, I miss the option to check whether a song is already part of a playlist. The vice-versa function is also missing: I'm searching for a song and want to know if it's already in any of my playlists. This indicator is missing. There are great playlist management tools for Spotify online. This is because Spotify has a good API. YT Music, on the other hand, is closed off and doesn't allow third-party access. There are browser extensions for playlist management in YT, but firstly, they're not fully developed, and secondly, I don't want to use the desktop browser to manage my playlists. I mean, wtf, Google could bring such a great product to market and even justify a price increase for the premium subscription if it were as convenient as Spotify. Instead, YT Music is being neglected. While Google is still bringing playlist management up to 2025 standards, Spotify has long since caught up: The DJ mix feature isn't perfect, but it's fun. Today I switched back to Spotify and wanted to vent my frustration here. Perhaps others feel the same way. submitted by /u/dsentker to r/YoutubeMusic [link] [comments]

Don't "migrate" to YT Music, use Grayjay instead.
As the title suggests, pls don't migrate to YT Music if your intention is to REALLY play from Spotify, meaning playing tracks, albums and even entire playlists saved in your Spotify account, and not tracks found on YT that have the same title as the tracks in your playlists LOL. When you play from YT, you are probably playing a third generation transcode of tracks uploaded by users, with no verification whatsoever on quality and sources, matched by title from Spotify tracks. Blah. If you want to stream the real thing, the tracks from Spotify, and also have a platform that can serve as backup for all the playlists that you subscribed or even created yourself in Spotify in the meanwhile that Revanced finds new working ways to patch the Premium app, Grayjay works very well. The interface is not the best (especially when you need to stream a specific album by an artist, it is a clunky procedure as you will see below) but everything is possible in terms of streaming from Spotify. Here is what I suggest and some recommendations, I might add to this post later if I have additions. Also free free to post further advice. Install Grayjay (https://grayjay.app/) and install it. The Windows app has no Spotify plugin apparently (edit see comment below, you can install the Spotify plugin also in the Windows app), but the mobile apps have it. You don't need to create accounts. Go to "Sources" and enable the platforms you would like to add, in this case, Spotify. Press on Spotify and "Check for updates". Always install the latest version of the plugin. You can also enable auto-updates in the app settings in the three dots menu' Login in Spotify Press "Import playlists" Now here is the first personal recommendation. Do NOT select all your playlists, it would take forever to import them especially if you (like me) subscribed to huge playlists with thousands of tracks. Personally I import ONE playlist at a time when I intend to listen to it. So far, I individually imported a few Spotify playlists with ~5000 tracks each and it took 10 minutes for each playlist, to give you an idea. Well, if you want to import playlists with just a hundred tracks each, then feel free to select multiple of them. If the process succeeds, you will be able to play these playlists from the "Playlists" tab at the bottom. Yes, this means streaming from the Spotify platform, with no ads, and in playlist order (or shuffle). The player is good, and even the YT player is amazing. It's not like using the real YT Revanced, but it has almost everything that you need, including "Sponsorblock", Ads blocking, "Return Youtube Dislike" and even very similar swiping on-screen gestures for volume and brightness. Note: Grayjay will not keep the playlists automatically synced with Spotify, you have to import again the playlist if there are updates you want to load. But how to play let's say a specific album from an artist on Spotify? You need to press the search lens first and search for the artist. Grayjay will start returning messy results from all your enabled sources. Press the "Creators" button just under the search field, this basically returns channels from YT (if you enabled it), but also official Spotify artist pages. Press on the Spotify artist, now this will lists all tracks from the artist, now this is pretty counter-intuitive, go to the Playlists tab. All albums from a specific artist are listed as individual playlists. Note, you can obviously play in background and with the screen off, and you can also have a mini-overlay on the screen, like YT Revanced, but for Spotify. That’s it for now — I might update this post with more tips soon. And feel free to drop your own in the comments! submitted by /u/NativeSkill to r/revancedapp [link] [comments]

Link: spot-transfer.vercel.app I built this for myself since I wanted to move to Revanced YT Music. Having only built with NextJs, this was the first time I wrote a separate web server to handle requests. I did this since the ytmusicapi library is built in python. Feedback is always welcome :) submitted by /u/Pushan2005 to r/developersIndia [link] [comments]
